Fox & Fiddle Winnipeg Review

Solid pub fare, friendly staff, and a laid-back atmosphere make this a regular dinner and a movie spot with Imagine Cinemas right upstairs.

I think the food is always good if a tad pricey. I recently had the Mediterranean nachos and my friend had the fish and chips. We also shared the spin dip and it had lots of bacon on top. I do like that we also got movie passes with our meals so I think that kinda balances out.

Food was good but service was slow and only 3 tables

Food tasty, service is good once the staff know you are there. You seat yourself but we couldnt find any servers. Had to go to the bar to let them know people were at the tables.

Half priced wings on Tuesday and they are fantastic.

I stopped going here due to appalling service on one occasion after being a regular customer for a year or so. Until that time it was one of my favourite spots. Bad service drives away repeat customers.

Clean , lots of space . plenty of tables and booths, tier system flooring , good service , nice place too have a beer after work and enjoy a game of darts

Came to the Fox on a friday, ok service by bartender HOWEVER...socializing amongst Londoners was VERY disgusting and so uncivilized with back handed jokes/comments and fairly trashy waitresses and bartender APPEARED to support such behaviour so rethink the spot

Keep going back only to be disappointed time after time.

Was there for the Harry Potter Pub Crawl it was awesome

I got one beer before a movie and it was an excellent beer, cheap and the bartender was very friendly as he could tell I was drinking alone.

Dinner and a free movie...love the fish and chips...been coming here for years...always great

It' seems that every time we go here they have 1 waitress working the entire restaurant.

Absolutely horrible service. I will say that our waitress Roxy, tried her best but they are drastically understaffed. The management here is doing a very poor job.

The worse service and dangerously under cook chicken wings. I got sick with seminella.

I ordered 2 lbs of wings and about half of them were under cooked (really large wings). You can litterally see red fluid. I informed my server and he just brushed it off like it was my problam.

I was in yesterday for a beer and was absolutely disgusted by how the bartender treated one of the customers. She looked older than 30, blonde and had a resting "i dont care about you" face. She was very clearly and loudly making fun of and belittling a man who had some sort of mental disability. Continuously saying outloud in an outdoor voice that " i was told i dont have to serve him" as well as comments like " are you waving at me! Didnt think so" and " i might lose my job today"... The way she was bullying this man, laughing at him to the other customers, and infront of a fellow associate of hers was diagusting. For the other employee to sit threre and laugh and smile made me feel like everyone that works there doesnt care. It is too bad because i have always loved every other experience. I can promise i will never return if she is working. I am disgusted of her actions and hope she recieves punishment. For when you are about to pay the tab of the person being bullied, there is a major issue. Absolutely despicable. Side note. Teach the bar managers that when they go to give someone a reciept that crumpling it up and giving it to them that way is disrespectful and makes me sick to my stomach. No one deserves to be treated that way. She is a horrible person and i hope she gets a serious punishment or fired.

I believe I happened to be there the same day as Andy Austin. A couple Sundays ago if I recall. You and friends were acting like children, throwing things around, being extremely disrespectful to the server and you slammed your nachos upside down on the table. If I've got the wrong group I apologize, if not grow up and learn to adult when in public. I would have not only not served you I would have had you barred. Regardless, great half price nachos, half price chicken bites, and $5 Blue Moon. I will be back for sure.

It had been awhile since I had visited, good to know that many of the same staff still HAPPILY work there. Great Atmosphere, Good Food and a deal if you're on your way to the movies...upstairs.

I'll not delete my above review, but things have changed...for the worse. I can honestly say that after spending easily 1K a month before XMAS, my biz was NOT APPRECIATED, gave the management a chance to correct the situation...since then they have made it worse.

Service is usually fast and friendly, mainly because it never seems to be busy - for lunch, anyway.
Selection of menu items is good with a wide range of pub fare.
Parking might be awkward if you want free, but there is a pay lot in the building. I don't know if they validate your parking.

My boyfriend and I went there a few months ago and he ordered the curry it was amazing, lots of sauce and great service. The fish and chips tasted great and the portion sizes were amazing. We went again this week and found a stark difference. He ordered the curry again and there was less sauce and more rice. We asked if he could have more sauce and they said that he would have to pay for another whole meal because the sauce and rice were portioned out by meals. When we asked if it was fresh or frozen the server who was doing an amazing job gave a lack luster answer. The portion sizes were smaller for the same prices we used to pay. The one piece fish was great but the lack of fries on my plate compared to what I used to get when we went there was a big disappointment. Not going to go again, we used to love the place what a disappointment.

Great food and service, convenient location downtown. if you keep your parking ticket from the Galleria mall above ground garage The Fox will scan it so you can get free parking when you leave.

The transfer from elephant and castle to fox and fiddle was seamless as some of the backbone staff remained and are still providing a great environment to just relax and unwind

had a delicious burger with sweet potato fries and a pepsi for around $18 which is the min to get the free movie tickets to imagine cinemas...great deal. staff was awesome too.

Nice pub...been around for some time...staff are always friendly and courteous...if downtown London stop in for a pint and enjoy

Pretty middle-of-the-road type pub. Decent food and beers. Atmosphere is pretty cool and the restaurant layout is unique.

Shepard's pie was great. Skip the French onion soup.

Horrible staff makes for horrible service. The people that work at the fox seem to think they are "entitled" and the world owes them your tip. I've personally been asked by a server to borrow money! My food has come to my table, not only cold or under cooked but completely different from what I actually ordered. The manager, I've witnessed listen to a customer concern and brush it off as if "What do you want me to do about it"
I've heard this person pull servers aside insult belittle them cause she got a complaint. Also while I was in the restroom. The COOK CAME TO CLEAN IT!?! That was it after that. Never again.

Worst service we have ever experienced. Waited over one hour for our drinks. We then waited another hour for our food. The wait was not worth it.

It's big enough that sometimes you wait for service, but it is friendly, welcoming, and has delicious food.

Nice pub with great service. We had some drinks and shared an appetizer while we waited for our movie to start. They had quick friendly service! The artichoke dip was good and so was the wine.

This place has amazing acoustics with an open atmosphere . The band Sweetwood Mac were amazing and a real treat for their anniversary party. What a great tribute band. We have been to this place often especially on ST. Patrick s Day and It is always a pleasure

Decent spot for a bite with live music on a Saturday night.

We received a friendly greeting and shown to our table. The Covid protocol was followed nicely. The tables were spaced apart. There was hand sanitizer to use as soon as we came in. When we sat down, our server informed us that the menus had been sanitized. All of the servers were wearing masks. Our server was very friendly and professional. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The butter chicken was delicious!

Mediocre at best. I've been multiple times when meeting with friends to see a movie. It never fails that something will be wrong. Cold food, incorrect items, forgetting drinks. It wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't one thing after another.

Great space for a quick lunch time bite or a date. Ask about hosting an event here! They will go oit of their way to make it a success!

found this place while I had time to kill waiting for the train back to Windsor. short walk to train station. my server was awesome! food was good. they went out of their way to create a sandwich the way I wanted it.

We were headed to a local semi-fancy restaurant for our anniversary dinner, only to find them closed without warning. (If you have a webpage and a Facebook, there should be a notice on one of them!) We ended up at the Fox and Fiddle after seeing it earlier in the trip, and finding it open after 9 pm on a weeknight. The waiter was friendly, the food was in huge portions, and had interesting concoctions. We'd never considered buffalo chicken poutine, but it was just weird enough to be absolutely delicious.

Nice atmosphere, tasty food (pub style), and a good beer, wine and drink selection.
Like a few places downtown it can be very quiet or packed. I've never had a poor experience here but I have of course had slower service when things were unexpectedly busy.

Waitresses can be rude sometimes but other than that this is the perfect place to go for a beer after a long day of work.

Had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It was a good size and lots of fries. Easily filling. Had excellent service as well.
