McCarthy Chevrolet Review

I had the lovely experience of buying a Silverado from Kade. I wanted running boards. He was true to his word and had the running boards put on in a timely manor. He even put me in a different car when they were putting them on so I would still be able to get to work. This was a very personal experience I feel like I have made a friend. I will completely trust Kade with my business any time I need a new vehicle and I suggest you do the same.

I highly recommend McCarthy chevrolet! Nick C in sales, Ryan his manager, and Jamie H in finance were great to work with! Nick listened to what my husband and I wanted, showed me options, and was so friendly and professional. He made it a great experience. This was the smoothest, fastest, and best car buying experience I have had. We traded in our
car and got a newer used car that we are very happy with. Thank you!

Kevin Robertson is the finance manager who is a scam! He took my $6k downpayment and put it to the dealership instead of sending the check to the finance company to put toward the car. I would not recommend this place at all. The car wasnt even cleaned when I purchased it, I was told i was lucky to have a full tank! Worse experience ever! Do not choose here or read the fine print! Dont be bamboozled!!

Sam greeted us immediately upon walking in the door, allowed us to lead the conversation about choices, and didn t ask us to consider something we weren t interested in. He was happy to accommodate our budget. He took the time to bring in a vehicle from another lot that matched what we wanted and got us put in the exact vehicle we needed. If you need a salesman, ask for Sam Searcy!

This transaction was one of the smoothest ones I have ever experienced in my 58 years. The sales representative I worked with, Tony Jacklevich, was extremely eager to provide pictures, videos and answers to my many questions as I live nearly 700 miles away from their dealership. He provided very accurate details about the pickup that justified my traveling to the dealership and ultimately purchasing the auto.

The whole team was very pleasant and fun to work with from the moment we walked in the front door until we left after working with the finance department.

I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership as everyone I dealt with was sincere, honest and accommodating in every way.

Tyler took the time and patience to not only get to know us but also understand our needs and then recommend the perfect vehicle for us. I never felt sold to or spoke down to; I felt like we had a partner in the buying process. I will continue to buy my vehicles from Tyler and McCarthy because I felt heard and understood. This is a professional salesman that cares more about you getting the right vehicle than his own bottom line. I cannot reccomend him highly enough. If you re looking for a new car go see Tyler.

Jamie Harrigan Sr. helped us buy a 2018 Silverado, and the experience was so great, we returned a week later to buy a 2018 Traverse! He is a great salesman, has excellent knowledge of the vehicles and is the most personable sales person we have ever dealt with. We give him a 5 star rating! I have actually purchased 2 vehicles from them as well as use their service department for the regular scheduled maintenance and repairs (extended warranty). I purchased a 2011 Malibu LTZ about a year and a half ago and just traded it in for a 2015 Equinox. My sales man was Breck Kincaid. The finance manager was also very helpful. It was a tough deal. I am kind of mean when it comes to negotiations. We all came to terms that we both could agree on. I have a vehicle that I plan on keeping for years to come.

Update August 2020:
Just purchased my third vehicle from McCarthy. Ruben was great. I did finance with my credit union but we still got the deal done. I got a new 2020 blazer. It s fully loaded I love it!!!

Had wonderful buying experience with Jamie H. The guy went out of his way to help us through the process. He gets it and it shows. ALSO great service advisor Chris L. has always taken great care of our vehicles.

I will say after wasting my time at other dealers I arrived at McCarthy Chevrolet expecting the same "look at this car, lets check your credit, take hours, then deny you" experience which is what I tend to always get. But in this case Jordan was very tentative to the type of vehicle I wanted, and was very quick at saying I was approved. In fact I was kind of dumbfounded at first so I made him repeat that "We are good to go" phrase. Lol he was very professional and even bought me Taco Bell... Come on, thats first class service. They even let me take my new Sonic home while the final preparations were being done by the awesome finance guy. Im looking forward to getting my car cleaned and detailed next week for free. First class treatment all the way. I will be back when its time to upgrade.

We just recently purchased a Silverado truck for our son in California and thanks to Ron Johnson it was smooth sailing! I went to the dealership needing some insight on what trucks they had on inventory pros and cons and an all around education on trucks in general-
while I initially approached a different sales person (who incidentally told me he didn t want to take the time to help me and that I could look around for myself) I thought I would take a quick peek around and then go elsewhere but this kind gentleman -Ron Johnson -approached me and asked if I needed any help- within an hour or so I test drove several trucks and decision made. Ron s experience and kind demeanor were a godsend. He made the car buying experience a pleasant one and he s even offered to assist us with arrangements to transport the vehicle to our son on the Naval base in California. Thank you Ron Jonson! This would have been a 5 star experience but for the initial salespersons rude behavior. I wiuld like to mention the remainder of the ataff were pleasant.

Scott from the Service department was a real pro. My recall service was finished quickly and done well. I was impressed with Scott's knowledge and his friendly demeanor. For us, from sales to service, McCarthy Chevrolet has a always been a great dealership!

I was greeted and welcomed the moment I walked in. Jamie was simply the best. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with the whole process from start to finish. In fact, they delivered the car to my home 45min away. If you need a vehicle, rest assured this dealership is up front and easy to deal with. I haven t liked or trusted salesmen before but this experience could change my mind for good.

If i could give less than one star i would, to start out i asked to get my vehicle through a certain bank and they said it was too expensive to go through them so they got me at 9 percent, talked to a friend at the bank i like and was told i could have gotten it at 6 percent. Fast forward a year and looking to get into a bigger vehicle and the new dealership informs me my vehicle has frame damage and should never have been able to be sold at a dealership because it can only be sold at auction and shouldnt have a green title. When i bought the vehicle they told me it was in a minor wreck where it hit a deer but never told me that i was getting a loan that is worth way more than the vehicle is worth so im looking at over 15 grand in negative equity now because the car is worthless. Go anywhere else other than mccarthy, will never buy from them again, i feel cheated and swindled

This dealership doesn't care about customer satisfaction at all. Incredibly rude staff all around, made an appointment and still had to wait 25 minutes to be helped. The car we drove 2 hours to test drive had been SMOKED in and was not told to us, even though I asked for smoking history and it was disgusting inside. Gave an incredibly insulting low offer for my trade in. Then ended up doing a hard credit inquiry even though I left before that stage of the buying process. DO NOT GO HERE.

I had been searching for months for a perfect family car. I honestly narrowed it down to a telluride or palisade but every time I d do go to other dealerships it seemed like they couldn t work with us. Nothing but a nightmare. If you expect a hole in the wall dealership type service this is the place for you. My brakes are already GRINDING and I've only had my car for 2 months. Not even a horrible driver can go through brakes that fast. When something goes wrong the service department points fingers and says theres nothing I can do. Completely disgusted by my experience. I would give this place negative stars and take my car back if I could.

Fast. Quick. Easy. Went in to get my car programmed for remote start. Gary helped me and mention that the job would be finished by 2pm yet I get a phone call before noon indicating that the service was completed. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, he showed me how to use the remote. Also had a great experience with the shuttle ride to work. However, I would have prefered a loaner to drive to work as I was told on the phone. Overall, good experience.

Jamie Harrigan Sr. was a fantastic help to my wife and I. We had just come from another dealer and had already test driven the Colorado but the selection was very small there. Jamie listened and found out exactly what we were looking for and took us to the vehicles to look at. Great personality and very down to earth...not a hard seller. Our appointment at McCarthy Chevrolet in Olathe was at 10:00. We were told ahead of time that the specific repair we were having done would take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. My husband had the car there at the scheduled time, handed over the keys to Larry Miller, and was driving home within 45 minutes. We were very pleased with the efficiency of the service at McCarthy.

I just purchased a 2018 Chevy traverse from McCarthy. The customer service was amazing! At no point did I feel pushed or forced into anything. Anthony was amazing and so super easy to deal with! We have purchased several vehicles over many years. This experience with McCarthy was the worst we have ever had. So many things were misrepresented. The quoted price went up, they tried to charge 6% interest after we told them we didn t want to finance, but they said it would save us $1000. Didn t happen. We waited 10 days to have running boards installed that were supposed to be included in the original price. Didn t happen. This place is very unorganized and incompetent people are working there. Many calls were made to find out when the truck was going to be delivered, no calls returned. No recommendation here.
