Everyone knows this place and it is excellent. Couldn't give five stars just because it's a nightmare to get in and out of. I'd say go on off hours but there aren't really any

If you can deal with the crowds, it's a great spot for grocery and deli.

Ifci could give 0 stars i would. I wish i was kidding. Jus came from there about 20 mins ago, and after eating half of the "sandwich of the day" realized that it was covered in hair! No joke! Im not just being negative either. It waznt one hair, or two hairs, but many, consistent hairs all in the sandwich. Will never ever eat there again. Disgusting!!!!

Real Italian bread: need I say more? Ok, how about freshly made pasta, fantastic deli, some premium Italian imports, including olive oils and wines, and much more that I haven't tried yet!

I love shopping at Mazzaro's. So many unique items to buy not just for Christmas but for regular dinners and other occasions as well. Wish they would not stock the shelves during the day huge carts in those very small aisles just makes things too crowded.

Best Italian market on the west coast market and restaurant.you will not regret going here! But don't forget not open on sundays! That's how good old fashion works .

this sprawling Italian deli, bakery, grocery, wine and cheese store is a Mecca for foodies. great selection, freshness and assortments of all categories. they also sell gelato which I will try on my next visit. wish the place wasn't so tight and checkout was more comfortable.

Love this place! But the girl they have working curbside service is so rude!! We all have problems. Don't take it out on me.

Food is not fresh scard it may have been imported from some were don't trust it is safe to eat.

I picked up a few lasagna and some fresh baked bread with two cakes. I was very certain we would have leftovers. Man was I wrong everyone love all of it. I would definitely do this again for a family gathering. Very easy very tasty.

Love this place.... I don't think I will ever have to go back up north again.. They have everything I missed from growing up in Rhode Island. YOU CAN'T JUST GET SOUPY (Sopressata) FROM ANYONE.. WELL I FOUND IT HERE AMAZING!!!

HEAVEN - Mazzaro's Is A Must DO. We discovered Mazarro's a couple of years ago during our visits to the area., and oh what a treat. Now every time we travel to the area Mazarro's is always on the "must do" list not just once but at least several times each time. The food is awesome, we haven't experienced any unpleasant staff as they all seem to be wonderful and make the experience even more authentic Italian, if that is possible. The beef Zeti is fabulous. The deli sandwiches are fresh, huge and with lots of kick and flavor. It's always busy there and sometimes are way more busy than other times, don't let that discourage you as the staff are on the ball and keep things moving. It's always worth the wait even when it is busy. In addition to the food, the atmosphere is truly something wonderful and adds to the experience. Great taste, great food, great atmosphere and good value. This is a MUST Do when you are in the area. I hope Mazzaro's never change what they have happening.

Europe in St Pete, they have all the good stuff. Stop bye and pick up all the quality dishes you would spend hours at home preparing and cooking. Alway an adventure and a comfortable experience for everyone of all ages, it's an event, a Pinellas must! Just sayin, John V.

Excellent food. Everything is fresh. Variety is endless. Takeout or eat in. Prepared foods that you can take home and heat and eat. Food, gifts and a fun experience. Plan to spend some time just looking around.

Wow what an amazing place. If you want to save $2000 and a trip to Italy visit Mazzaro's. Mazzaro's has the most authentic selection of Italian goods that I have ever seen . When I first moved to St Petersburg over 10 years ago from New Jersey I was very homesick and if it wasn't for Mazzaro's I would have moved back to New Jersey within 6 months because any true Italian needs: authentic bread, roasted coffee beans, and wonderful wines.

You truly can't say enough good things about Mazzaro's Italian Market! This place has it all. Not only does it have it all it is all fresh perfect and ready to go. You can go and sit down and have a great lunch, or you can pick up dry aged steaks truffle butter and all of the sides that you need to make a perfect at home gourmet meal. There are always busy and it is for good reason! Several registers always open for a quick and easy checkout even through these trying times of a pandemic. Thank you very much Mazzaro's for always being awesome!

Nice place but can be crowded on weekends, filled with yuppie types & a bit on the pricey side. Prepared food just ok, nothing special. Cookies are overpriced...hard as a brick & dry as the Sahara desert. Riding on it's laurels for the most part.

MUST go to for excellent Mexican food!! I drive down from Dunedin (~20 miles) to enjoy the food....simple menu, friendly staff. Don't be fooled by the appearance or you will miss out! 5 Star quality....try the chicken burrito....you will be hooked! Oh yeah, the prices are LOW!

Parking is always insane but the food is beyond worth it just dont come on a Sunday when they're closed! I had a heavenly spinach and feta pie and brought home penne ala vodka w/meatballs and cannoli for the family.

Everytime we come visit this side of the state this is a must have to place to stop. Always fresh and delicious!

Mazzaro's is something unique to the Tampa Bay Area. Walking in took me back to my time in Italy. Fresh food, wine, desserts, and more. Definitely worth checking out and grabbing one of those delicious lasagnas.

Love the frozen prepared foods. Would have loved to have frozen gravy available. I was informed it is only available around Thanksgiving.

I always get the best Cappuccino here and in Italy. It's much cheaper to drive to Mazzaro than fly to Rome.

Oh my gosh. This place is heaven. I could write a book about how perfect everything is here, but I dont have the time. Wine, cheese, charcuterie, sandwiches, lasagna, bakery.... just magnificent. Outdoor seating, indoor seating. Go planning to spend some time, lines are long and place is super busy at all hours of the day. You wont be mad about it though, worth every second.

The whole place was excellent. A treat for the senses. However, we had an uncomfortable encounter with a rude meat handler.

This is based on 2 visits... didn't purchase the first time. Today we had the sausage lasagne, salad of artichokes, palm hearts, cucumber & tomato. The lasagne was very nice...good flavor of sausage. I love to cook, and this is not like homemade, but getting as close as anything I've had from a deli counter. The salad was very plainand could have used some seasoning, but the tomatoes and cucumbers were fresh. The key lime and almond tarts were both fresh and delicious. This will be our go to place for take out Italian. Just visiting the store is also a treat and now I am excited about trying other products!!

Crazy busy place, bread is yummy, Fridays fish sandwiches for six dollars are worth the trip. The home pasta rocks, cheese and wines superb!

Amazing food , lot of choice . For those who like italian food this is the paradise.

Pasta, breads, cheeses, meats and pastrees are always fresh and of great quality. Love to sit down and get a cup of their fresh brewed cappuccino.

Amazing market and a must visit for anyone living in or visiting the area. I've ordered cakes from the bakery a few times for birthdays and they have never disappointed. Everything is freshly made here, including their gelato. So good. The bakery is delicious! I normally get sidetracked when I come here looking at everything. From the prepared foods to the grocery items to their merch store. I haven't had the pleasure of trying many of their food items but everything looks so appetizing.

This place is normally packed on the weekend and parking can be tight. I've come late in the afternoons during the week and it's not as busy. Great place to bring out of town foodie guests.

Lines were long, but there is a reason for this. It s because of the quality you get for shopping here.

Being from the Midwest it was shocking to see Sprechers root beer. Literally it is an item reserved for specialty stores. Mazzaro s knows quality, and must go out of their way to have nice, niche products in their location.

Never disappoints after 12+ years of stopping in. Great selections in all departments. Wine and cheese always on par. Side note, if you are not local, it may seem a little overwhelming, a little crowded etc... but the staff is always friendly, so if you find yourself looking for something or a little confused on how it works, just ask a staff member.

If you haven't gone to Mazzaro's you have done yourself a disservice

Mazzaro's is a wonderful Italian market. The only thing that is irritating is seeing other ethnic foods intermixed. Each type, in their own right, are amazing. I don't go to an Italian market to buy Hispanic or Middle Eastern foods and to see such a successful place weaving in other types of cuisine is disheartening.

I love most things about this always-busy market. Wine and cheese selection is top notch. A visit to the coffee bar is always a treat as is their baked goods quality and selection. Deli is terribly busy so call your order in. Nice lunch can be had with a bottle of wine (with glasses) and a delicious deli selection on their porch.

The term market doesn't do this place justice. It's really more of a bazaar for interesting and flavorful foods and ingredients as well as a deli and great place for coffee.

If you can't find an Italian food product you're looking for here, chances are slim you'll find it anywhere in the southern US, or maybe even anywhere outside of NYC. Mazzaro's is our go to place for wonderful bread, Italian cold cuts, cheeses, olives, pasta, wine, etc. And to top it all off, these wonderful delicacies are reasonably priced. You never feel as if you are being gouged as maybe you might feel in some other specialty stores. All in all, a fun, interesting shopping experience. Because it is a popular place, going early (at 9 am when they open) is advised to avoid the crowds.

Good wine collection and advice. Take a number at butcher, baker, deli and pasta. Sandwiches are a great value.

AMAZING place. Advice - DONT GO ON THE WEEKEND. Because this place is so amazing, everyone goes on the weekend. If you can, sneak in during the week. The experience will be much more enjoyable, you will be able to park without waiting 45 minutes, and you can leisurely browse and eat. The weekends are a madhouse and completely take the enjoyment out of the experience. Trust me.

Italian coffee shop inside was like being in old Italy. Elderly people just sitting around the counter sipping on cappuccino.

Everything is good here. Coffee, pastry, fresh pasta, deli food, CHARCUTERIE, premade meals, wine and cheese.

Very crowded, can hardly walk through the place. The isles need to be wider or they need to limit the number of people in at a time. It's a poorly laid out mini mall inside. Some things are priced really well, while others are not. Over all, good experience, friendly staff. Just way too crowded!

Mazzaro offers great deli selections, well-priced wines, St Pete's best cheese room, and coffee to write home about.

This is such a fun place to visit! I know it's a market but there are so many good items to browse thru. The place is always busy so grab a number! The selection in every department is amazing. The staff is always friendly and smiling. It's an adventure to go into this store. You never know what yumminess you will walk out with.
