Great selection of food form meets, cheeses, breads, desserts and all sorts of European foods. If you live in Hillsborough or Pinellas you must check it out.

Always a pleasure to shop here. Breathe deeply in both the bakery and the produce/herb sections.

The cheese and olive selection is fantastic to start off with. So many good selections of everything else, too. Always make a trip here when we are in town.

The best Italian market, they have everything you need. Wish there was one closer like Wesly Chapel

One might drive right by this unassuming commerce on the north side of 22 street in St. Pete. It has a kind of rustic, Italian motif on the exterior. Immediately upon entering one is confronted with an old world Italian market - full of shoppers worming their way through narrow rows of over packed shelves of Italian food products. They have everything, including a buzzing deli, incredible sandwiches (under $6), fresh Italian bakery, coffee (beans for sale, brew for drinking), a wine "cave." and cheese shop. If you want authentic Italian, this is the shop for you.

Wow. What an experience. Everything an Italian girl dreams of. The homemade pastas, the bakery department, and the meats and cheeses... experienced employees made it more special.

This is the best Italian market/cafe I have been to ever! The cheese and wine rooms will blow your mind. The fresh made pasta will make you think you are in Italy! The gelato is to die for. You have to try all the flavors! Generous portions of everything. This was a favorite of mine when I lived in St Pete. Now when I visit it is on list of places to make sure I go to. Took a friend who is married to an Italian and she was squeeling in delight every time she saw something she had only seen in Italy. If you are within 10 miles of Mazzaros and have never been there, you are cheating yourself out of some seriously good gourtmet food and wine! Do yourself a favor and check it out. I guarantee you will be returning! Just for the record I am not an employee or a relative of an employee!

I love this place. One come here quite a few times for coffee and lunch from the deli. It's always packed and I'm never disappointed with my orders. It's very charming.

This place is amazing. You can shop like any other market, order coffee at the coffee bar, or check out there artisan cheeses, pastas, and baked goods! Everything was yummy. My favorite part is that you can take whatever you buy and eat it outside in there covered patio. Free water is provided with ice and a bunch of fans help you stay cool! My second favorite part was their variety of Florida honeys. You could sample all of them and they were delicious. So glad I found this place!

Fresh meats at the deli, fresh teas and coffees at the counter and the bakery is to die for. Plus a grocery store and a gift/housewears store. Fun place. Plan to spend an hour or two.

I love this place. It s always busy but the staff are still pleasant. I haven't bought any cheese, like another reviewer who had a bad experience, but everything thus far has been good. If you get the Friday fish sandwich ask for the spicy sauce as well.

So much good stuff! I could spend way too much money here. I remember when it was a tiny deli!

Mazzaros is a great place for everything! Beautiful fresh meat department with butchers on hand. Fresh fish and shrimp. Tons of fresh veggies. Plus a specialty cheese shop. A deli department where you can get myriads of fresh salamis and cheeses sliced to order. A sandwich deli with oodles of fresh made side dishes! Complete wine room with so many choices and price ranges. So many unusual fresh spices to choose from. And then there's the gift shop in a separate building. Gifts for anyone on your list! Or yourself, if you want to indulge in beautiful kitchen linens, table settings, serving pieces! Reasonable prices.
You name it, they have it.

So on 1/11/18 my wife called me and told me she was at a place called Mazzaro's at the butcher counter with some colleagues and asked would I like anything. I said sure, how about a couple of nice filets. Now, I do all the meat shopping normally, but she was excited and asked me how thick. I assumed she was having them freshly cut so yeah me! I said about 2.5-3" would be great.
No problem. She came home with two of the crappiest, smallest chunks of meat from the "tail" of the filet. You know, the part that they usually package for a discount. She relied upon the butcher to help her..
Apparently the "butcher" also said they were 3" thick. Evidently, the lies he has been telling his wife about 6" have permanently affected his judgement. Terrible. A joke. Took advantage of my wife's naivete and gave her garbage. 2 tiny little tail end filets for $20.99 per lb.

There is this wonderful woman named Gigi. She works in the cheese department!! She helped me out sooooooo much. Ahe really knows her stuff. I hope she is recognized for all her hard work and her dedication to the customers!! Give that woman a raise!!! And i looooooove all the amazing cheeses. My favorite!!!

If you're in or near St Pete...this place is a MUST go to! Best Italian Market and eatery in town! Had the eggplant parm sandwich and a cannoli to go! Can't leave without that! The prices are very reasonable for lunch as well! Food is amazing! Authentic Italian! From meats to cheeses, fruit, pasta or pastries...they have it all! Coffee too!

Best market in all of Pinellas County. Fabulous cheese selection, wine selection, meats, sausages, bakery goods, and on and on. Just delightful.
