I m a Gordon Ramsay fan but this restaurant really doesn t match my expectation. The beef tartar is a little too sour to taste the flavor of beef and the prawn s sauce is so strong that i taste the prawn s flavor hardly. Beverage price is high. I won t recommend my friends to come.

We booked Maze Grill on there website, from New Zealand 3 months before we arrived in London for a holiday. The wait staff were just amazing, polite, friendly, helpful. The prices are expensive, so keep that in-mind. Some of the feedback here is un-needed as you are aware of the prices before you eat so leaving unfair feedback on the price is well stupid. Flavor / taste is just a perfect combination. For two people our meal came to just over $300 Pound.

This place comes with a high price tag but it is worth the money. I've been here twice, once at the sushi bar and at the brasserie end. There is also fine dining restaurant in another section. The food here is pan Asian and although you can get similar food elsewhere for cheaper once you taste it you'll realise why it's worth it. I can honestly say some dishes I've had are to die for! Service is good, well organised although not flawless

As a birthday treat I was given a voucher for a 12 course tasting menu with kitchen tour included. And can I just say it did not disappoint. Every detail of every dish was millimetre perfect, how they sliced everything so finely I will never know. The flavours were exquisite too. With details including providing a bowl of lemons to be served with one particular dish to accentuate the aromas, it was a birthday gift I won t forget. The novelty of being presented with an Ipad for the wine list was also a nice touch. The service was outstanding as was the price. Glad I wasn't paying the bill but it is great for a special occasion.

This place was kind of disappointing. The steak was cold by the time they brought it out because they cut it up for you beforehand. The wine pouring was sloppy. They upsell really hard so the autumn tasting menu ends up costing a lot more More

Went for bottomless sushi and prosecco on Saturday. We were only allowed 90mins for the whole period, which is fair. However, it came in 4 courses and took 30minutes for the first course (cold noodles, miso soup and handroll) to come out... Then another 15 minutes for the second course (skewers and duck bun) .. Then the sushi came out so fast... That took an hour to finish all 4 courses.

After that we ordered more sushi, since it was bottomless, miraculously the sushi took 30minutes to come and 'coincidentally' arrived just after our 90minutes were up. Poor poor customer satisfaction and service.

Food was good, but to say it's "bottomless" is definitely a huge stretch.

I would not recommend

Quick visit for dessert. My wife enjoyed the brownie and caramel ice cream. I had the apricot cake which was delicate and sweet with vanilla ice cream. I ordered a latte with the cake and it came after we finished eating. Minus one star for the slow service but the wait staff did apologize. I also did not like the music and it was too loud, taking away the possibility of enjoyable and initimate conversation. So minus a star for the ambience.

My partner and I were excited to try one of Gordon's restaurants and were celebrating a very special occasion, however when we arrived it was not quite as we had expected. We were expecting something slightly more sophisticated to be honest especially for the price and location. We were shown to our table which was opposite a large TV with a sports game on. The noise level was quite high which was a little annoying as we had hoped for a more quiet romantic meal although the staff did move us to another table. The tables were pretty small and tightly packed together though. The staff were attentive but the ambience was somewhat disappointing. The menu was totally different to the one I had seen online and had quite limited options, especially for my partner who has a gluten and dairy intolerance. The onion rings were soggy with a strange sauce between them which was again slightly disappointing. The chips were a little undercooked and the fillet steak was a little gristly. My peppercorn sauce tasted very creamy / buttery but that was maybe just not to my individual taste. The dessert was very small and quite basic but on the plus side my partners salmon was apparently quite good and had a decent size side of greens. We certainly would not go back to this particular establishment although nothing was quite bad enough to make a complaint. I have had much better meals for a lot less money if I'm totally honest so maybe you are paying more for the celebrity name than the quality of food or restaurant interior.

Not such a great experience. We were all served gluten free bread after ONE of us mentioned being allergic to gluten. Mistake easily rectified. The starters and sides were average, overpriced for the quality. The server got 2 of the starters mixed up and we started eating them as they looked identical. The onion rings were very doughy, I had to remove half of the dough to taste the onion. Three people out of 6 around the table had to send their steaks back as they were not cooked correctly. I had to send mine back twice, I've asked for medium rare, the first one was well done and the second one came blue. Friends seating at a nearby table complained about sending some of their steaks back too. The steaks me and two other people ate were 1/4 to 2/3 fat and sinew. By the time my steak came my chips were ice cold so there was no way to enjoy them. The peppercorns sauce was very odd. No peppercorns in it, watery and a cling on the surface. The deserts were very average and they looked NOTHING like the online pictures. I could have easily presented them like that at home. Giving it 3 stars as the sashimi was amazing, best in UK that one of us had so far. Nice dips for the onion rings, nice smashed avocado and free bread

The food was surprisingly not that great. And I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe the cinamon doughnuts were meant to be raw in the middle. Everything else other than the food was nice.

Gordon needs to do a Kitchen Nightmares on this restaurant.

Opened 3 wines:
2007 Clos de Vougeot from Meo-Camuzet .
Badly kept = Vinagre.

Ch Beaucailou 2006 no good.

2004 Sarget de Gruad Larose = dead

Disgrace to keep such nice wine so badly.
I thought they where display bottles around the walls but apparently not...

Had 1 blue "USDA" ribeye, it arrived medium well.
Sent it back. Next one cooked ok but not the real thing. No taste very sad. Probably some british milk cow.

Also had blue "Wagyu " , it arrived burnt (charcoal) on one side (the bottom) very lightly cooked on top.

To sum up rubbish meat and ruined wine.

Mayonnaise + Butter + Tarragon = Sause Bernaise NOT!

All sauces runny and tasteless.

Epically rubbish restaurant!!!

If you want a good Steak go to:

Beast = Beautiful Ribeye and the crab is amazing also.
Wine list to die for.

Goodman's = Good steak as long as you stick to the American stuff. OK wine.

Gaucho Grill = OK Ribeye.

- eat almost 100 pounds but what actually is worth 60!

The food was fine, but I think you can get that kind of quality for a lesser amount in London. The staff will do everything for you. Ultimately 18 pounds paid to "service". This is not discussed beforehand and very cheeky! First sandwich free (there are 2 in the basket) asked for a new one as we got so many sandwiches ... obviously now more sandwiches, but then also a nice amount charged. So far a top night!

Had a vacation last week in London with my family and we had our last meal in this restaurant.

We made a reservation for 21:30, but had to wait about 15 minutes afterwards before our table was ready.
The service was OK at first, but gotten worse as we were served with our dishes rather slowly - 15 minutes for "small plates", 40 minutes for the main dishes.

The food itself was good, but really not worth the price. A 40+ pound steak should taste better than the one you had on your last BBQ. The rest of the dishes were pretty over-priced as well.
Also, some of the food was quite spicy, and there was no warning / indication for that in the menu.

What made the whole experience even less pleasant was the extra VAT charge at the end.
Throught the entire vacation there wasn't a single restaurant which didn't include VAT in their menu prices, but here they didn't include it.
I checked online and it seems to be the norm in London / England, so that was very annoying.

All in all, I don't recommend coming here.

Interior: I ve expected to see something completely different. Reminded me of some fast-food cafe interior.

Food: Average, the steak I had was kinda tasteless. French fries just like from the supermarket. Sauces were okay. The portion is so small that when food arrived I havent noticed the steak at first. I thought they gonna bring it later Price for the food I ve got was too high.
I think i just had high expectations, cause it s Gordon Ramsays place .

Service: Service was okay.

I am happy I visited, just so I know how it is, but definitely will not come again.

We visited as we had an American vegan guest, and ...

We visited as we had an American vegan guest, and having talked about the legendary British "Sunday Roast" we were all attracted by the offer of a Sunday Roast with a 'Vegan Nut Roast". We have had many memorable meals in Ramsey restaurants and had high hopes. The menu online and in the restaurant claims that "All roast" are accompanied by "Yorkshire Pudding" - interesting, but this is Gordon Ramsey therefore his magic was eagerly awaited. In fact, the "Nut Roast" was actually the "Quinoa and Beetroot Burger" but served without the bun, vegan mayonnaise etc. and they do not have a Vegan Yorkshire pudding therefore it was a fiction. We returned the nut-less nut roast, and if you want to know how good the Quinoa and Beetroot Burger was in it's own right, what you see in the photograph is the "leftovers" from the one we ordered. Having conceded that a Quinoa burger is not a Nut Roast, the polite manager comped about 15% of the bill but our American guest was sent on her way never having experienced something comparable to a "Sunday Roast". This was a 1980's vegan experience and not worthy of the great chef.

Went here for a birthday midweek, booked a table for two in advance. The staff at every stage were extremely polite and attentive, able to help us with anything we needed in great detail. The steak was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious (even the cheaper variety!) and the sushi was also fantastic. Followed the meal up with some ice cream and a complementary chocolate birthday cake slice. The only criticism is that the chips, which were hand cooked, were basically a full potato and the thickest I've ever had, but even that was impressive, they were fluffy throughout.

Gordon Ramsay's Maze grill lived up to expectations. We ordered the beef wellington for 2. It was perfectly cooked, savoury, and delicious. Also, the spinach salad with truffle oil was so good my wife took it away from me. Definitely recommend this place!

Disappointed as we specifically came to one of Gordon s restaurants to try out the Beef Wellington but they had ran out when we arrived (~5pm). Waiter informed that they only make a handful of Wellingtons for each dinner service at this restaurant, so if you re after one of those then go to his other restaurants to be safe. Ordered a Ribeye steak instead, which was okay but slightly overpriced for what it was

We made a reservation and due to the virus they shut the restaurant down which is understandable but the bad part is they didn't let us know they had canceled our reservations until we walked in the restaurant. Very unhappy that a place of this level couldn't let me know they had shut down.

The food ranged between okay and excellent depending on the dish, three courses was enough to sate you.
The ambience and service was a let down - the restaurant is quite noisy and fairly cramped, the waiters are not particularly attentive, drop things a lot and try to pressure you into ordering more, the bill was miscalculated significantly which I luckily noticed, and the cover charge was not communicated to us at all until the bill came, which I found rather sneaky.

Overall it was a fairly good night but doesn't live up to expectations. Disappointing for the price.

Terrible dinner experience for a much awaited dinner of 12 people - Gordon Ramsay should fix this restaurant before claiming to be a celebrity chef - portions were much smaller than advertised, the half lobsters were served cold, the salads were uninspiring and very basic. Quality of meat not up to the standards of Gordon Ramsay restaurant.

Staff are very friendly and very easy going service, we went for early dinner it was just another table in the restaurant, I don t know why they have to put us right next other customers.... and all the guest put their coats on the couch. It was so May staff there with 2 table of customers ( just wonder if they have place for guests coat) the steak we had was really delicious and also the salad just fresh and well balanced but the octopus was so bitter ! Staff explained it s was poached then grilled.. but it s just unbelievable bitter :( could be better .

We were very disappointed. We spent two weeks really looking forward to this experience. It started really well, very polite and welcoming staff but we were not sure how many people were serving us because we had someone else coming to us every 2min to check if we were OK. Let me chew!

I ordered "scallopS" but got served a "scalloP". It was the most delicious scallop I had in my whole life but I couldn't stop feeling chatted. If the menu says "scallops" then I expect multiple scallops, at least bloody two!
Had chicken for main which was nice but my boyfriends lamb was just a dollop of fat. He was too polite to complain and just forced it down.
We also got some greasy onion rings which looked fab but tasted...well, greasy.

We were prepared to face the bill but I've got to say that when you change so much for average food and apply service charge then you shouldn't add any cover charges. Simply ripping people off.
We expected way better experience in GR restaurant. It wasn't far off a kitchen nightmare. Don't recommend.

Service was swift and very friendly.

Service was swift and very friendly.
I had the buffalo chicken wings and they were a little bit too hot for my taste, after having 3 I had to throw in the towel.
Other than that the steak was cooked perfectly and the brownie with salted caramel ice cream was delicious.
After ordering a whiskey that was not in stock I was offered something similar which was below the price of the one I originally ordered.
The alternative I recieved was spot on and now resides in my private collection of spirits.
Putting customer satisfaction above income is definitely a reason why I would recommend this restaurant.
But above all, it's f***ing good food

Very good quality of food and drinks. I was surprised by the variety of beef here. It's a very nice experience if you are a group of 10-ish people and get the chef's table. Great place for team night out. Looking forward to their xmas feast menu this year.
