A girlfriend and I went here for the first time to see what all the hype was about. Barely received a greeting from the hostess upon walking in. Was served raw chicken (luckily I noticed before eating it). Manager took it off the bill and gave us a free dessert.

This was the worst meal that I have had in a long time. Salad tasted sour. There was 3 people in my party and each person had at least one item that was sent back. Chicken was dry and a host of other issues. To make it worse the manager and someone else all came over to explain the we didn't understand the style of food we where ordering. Complete fail. Rather then taking all the food off they decided giving us 10 off our next meal was a way to apologize. Why would I even eat there again. Don't waste your time with place.

I love how stunning this restaurant is with the waterfront views and chill ambiance. As upscale as it seems outwardly, I can come in and dine as I am, meaning I don't have to dress up or get fancy. The work staff were excellent in service and attentive. The manager (Derrick) and owner (Mr. Meland) were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Lastly, the food is well portioned, full of flavor, and appealing to the eye overall. If I may give a recommendation, I would definitely suggest the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Next up for me is the Tomahawk Steak. Thanks for having me. I will be back with more people.
Asteticly pleasing as you walk through the door. Very open and inviting with all the windows surrounding the resteraunt. Very friendly staff. I had the Mill Park Burger. A Country Natural Farms Burger with Beecher's cheese, lettuce, tomato, camalized onion jam with bacon aoli, and a capper with prosciutto ham on a brioche bun. Very tasty burger. Fries were seasoned and crispy. I ordered a side cup of curried lentil soup with a coconut broth..Soo good on a cold day. Warms your soul. I will say, I would have liked to have seen another chicken option other than fried. Overall an excellent pick for a night out, complete with outside seating by a fire, full bar and coffee shop with pastries.
Enjoyed a delicious meal on Veterans Day with my Veteran husband! He had the best Ribs and huge portion too!!! Never fails tho he had room for a yummy dessert hot brownie and ice cream!! Service was top notch!!! Thank you Maynards for treating the Veterans
We love breakfast weekdays at Maynards. The pastries excellent, our grandkids love hand made doughnuts Chef Budda does amazing and creative breakfast dishes. My favorite is egg frittata and my husband has tried all menu items. Chef B and staff that work wth him are friendly, attentive and very creative.
Great parking and view of the sound. Employees are professional, friendly, and seem to enjoy patrons and each other. Drink specials are a good deal. Pizza is fantastic. The other food passing by looked good, but I won't be able to pass up a chance for the great wood fired pizza. Comfortable northwest motif with fireplace and nice chairs. Outside seating in better weather. Definitely The Place in Kitsap County. Worth driving the distance.
The only complaint I can make about this place is that I want everything on the menu. Speaking of which, I have not yet seen a menu at any other place in Silverdale that rivals this one in terms of creativity and smartly curated variety. There aren't a ton of options, but each one is very unique, and all have been amazing. Yes, it is more expensive than the local average, but definitely deserving of being a place for special occasions.
Beautiful restaurant but food not worth the price. We ordered $16.00 hamburgers medium rare and medium. The waiter said there were only six patties left so we better hurry. We ordered $9.00 Bloody Marys that took over 15 minutes to get them and had no garnish except a lime squeeze, they tasted like terrible tomato juice. The waiter did bring celery and olives when we asked for them. My wife ordered the $19.00 Crab Salad. So the salad looked nothing like website salad but my wife ate it without much complaint but she is shy. My mother and I were served well done dry hamburgers that were not good, we got a to go box for half of each one which I gave to my sisters dog the next day. The waiter was a very nice guy and worth his tip. A $102.00 including tip for Hamburgers and a so called crab salad does not merit a return trip. Such a beautiful place but it's "All Hat and no Cattle" as of 01/28/2020
Maynard's is my new favorite restaurant in Kitsap. The atmosphere is incredible. I would feel comfortable in jeans, or a suit for a special occasion. The menu is not too big, but every item sounds creative and different from what you'd get at a typical restaurant. Great drink selection too! Our waitress was great, and they had live music even though it was a Tuesday night. The only criticisms I have are that the lighting felt a little bright, and that the ice water tasted terrible. They need to buy some water filters or something. I'll definitely be back!
Let me start by saying that the food was very good. The way it was served was very poor. We ordered oysters with our drinks. When the drinks arrived we ordered our main courses. In no time, our main courses arrived at the table--still no oysters. The oysters, which we had expected to enjoy with our drinks, were the last to arrive at the table. This restaurant is obviously very new and having some training/hiring problems.
We may come back at some much later date because the menu seems interesting and the food was good. However, we will probably give them some time to solve their growing pains.
This restaurant is clean, spacious, and cozy, especially if you are sitting by the fireplace. The staff is professional and nice, and the food is delicious. Also they are following the safety precautions for covid.
Today I went in with wanting a great salad. Unfortunately the Washington salad was horrible. Total cost of 13.00. If I could post a picture of what i recived i would.
After driving past the construction site multiple times, I was really happy to see the place has finally opene. The building itself is HUGE, and very nice. Not knowing much about restaurant design and service, I may be incorrect, but the layout seems a bit odd and disjointed. That didn't affect the service (which was very good, by the way,) but I do wonder if the reason for the layout would be to seperate large parties and still allow for plenty of useable space? I had the Macaroni & Cheese, and added chicken. I believe the chef did prepare the dish as the receipe called for, but the cheese used was the mildest of mild cheddar I have ever tasted. The chicken was cooked as blackened, which is fine but a strong flavor of the add-in did not contrast well and over powered the actual mac & cheese. My wife got the Cheeseburger & fries. WAY too much salt on both. She didn't finish her burger, and only had one fry. I tried the fries. I LOVE fries. I couldn't eat them, either.
Overall, this could be a great place once they hit their groove. I will probably try again in a few months.
Let s start with the good stuff. The restaurant lay out is wonderful, nice views and the ambiance is ok. Now the food portion. My wife ordered the rockfish, poor rockfish died in vain. Over salted and dry. I hade the half sandwich and soup. Half BLT was missing half the B. One piece of bacon cut in two was lost in the lettuce, tomato and, mayo. The beer was flat and had to be sent back. Save your time and money and dine somewhere else. Trump 2020!
I attended a dinner hosted by a separate company foe education. The room and service was nice enough, the food not so great. I like salmon and will generally order it before anything else. I found it fish kind of dry and not so flavorful. I liked the rice and vegetables that the fish was on more that the fish itself. I did not say anything to any of my coworkers but asked their opinion the next day. They to found the food quality less than what they had anticipated for a nice new high end restaurant.
Based upon my first experience I think that Maynards would not be a place I would go back to unless things change such as more basic, less exotic menu choices that are better prepared. It s a shame because I really wanted to like this restaurant.
I had a wonderful first time being here the food was out of this world and my waitress Ali was the sweetest woman ever I highly recommend this place yes it's a bit pricey but it's worth every penny the atmosphere is warm and kind just go
Great new place to find a good hearty meal. Atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for and the menu has new tasty items to try. Go for the tomakawk.....its well worth it! We will definitely be back again!
The view is great especially if you get a table in the center of the restaurant. The service was good, the food was tasty, but a little on the spendy side. It's a nice place to go with friends or on a date.
The service was horrible, this was the 1st time me and my husband had gone to a restaurant in a year, we chose Maynard's . I got my breakfast i had asked for ham and my eggs over medium and as long as the whites are done im happy, my food came back 30 minutes later and I had sausage and uncooked whites, no one came back to see if we wanted more coffee or anything else, the food smelled like old grease, needless to say I wo t go back.
We went for the first time today for a quick lunch bite. The menu has a nice selection, but there was some inaccuracy that made me less than pleased with my choice. I ordered a flatbread that was described as having "whipped mascarpone cheese" and low and behold, it strongly tasted of blue cheese. I asked the server if it was blue cheese and upon checking with the chef, it indeed was both mascarpone and blue (I only tasted blue). My friend's salad was too heavily dressed, so if I return, I will get my dressing on the side and make sure what I am served is what is listed on the menu. Will most likely give it one more try....
Arrived at 1130 am for lunch. Was seated in the bar/lounge area. Dan my server seemed less than interested to be serving customers. He took my drink order and it took over 10 minutes to receive a glass of wine. While I was waiting he seated 3 other tables and took their orders. I finally flagged down a different server who had my drink order to me in under 30 seconds. Love this place but please hire servers who want to be there!
Stopped in there today for a late lunch we were seated in the bar area next to the side door. Continually the door was being open letting all the cold air come rushing over our table. That s not even the bad part, our server, Dave was less than interested in serving us. After about 20 minutes we placed our orders, finally 45+ minutes later our order arrived. Let s just say that the food was not very good both salads had way too much pepper and there was quite a bit of not so fresh lettuce in the salads. We also ordered the fried chicken thighs, with the honey hot sauce, frankly speaking the hot sauce was the best thing on the plate. Not sure what the chicken was stuffed with but it looked like some sort of gray paste that was intended to be stuffing. Definitely did not settle well on the stomach. That s putting it as mildly as I can. Hopefully things will improve, good luck.
Good food good service.clean and friendly could use a little more diversity. On the menu but a lovely experience They gave me a free pastry and it was great
Me and my parents went there today for my 29th birthday it was so awesome the food was to die for and the service was wonderful and also the staff was wonderful to we are definitely coming back
The space is amazing with a beautiful view of the water. We sat in the bar and the service was great. Shared the cheese curds, SO good! Welcome to Silverdale Maynard's!
I was very disappointed and underwhelmed. To begin with both our water glasses were dirty with seeds stuck to them. They wete replaced when we asked. We had the apple salads which were just OK. Alot of greens but very little apple and cheese. Server was very nice. My friend asked for bread with her salad. It was toasted and hard. The view is nice but for the price and quality of the food I doubt I will be returning.
The coffee is so yummy! My husband and I hang out in the marketplace area to drink and play card games, it's so calm and peaceful. They were super understanding when I asked about avoiding dairy products, the chef and sous chef were there and so beyond kind!! Food is phenomenal and the customer service is amazing! The people there seem to truly enjoy their jobs!
Wow what an awesome place. Sandy went above and beyond to make our wedding party feel welcomed and safe. They did a great job, I would highly recommend them for your next event, Sandy will not let you down.
Had a pleasant experience tonight at Maynards, Silverdale. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. I had a pizza, it was spicy with a great taste. The crust was my preference. The service was superb tonight. Celebrating a birthday, Ali was able to keep up with our requests... with pleasantries and a smile. I also tried the scallops; very tasty. Overall it was a terrific dining experience, first time out since March 9th.
My wife and I had dinner here recently. The venue is amazing. great layout, view and modern. On that fact alone I will be coming back. The price was reasonable if not a little pricey. Given that they want to food to be unique, knowing what to order was somewhat tricky. I went with the spicy turkey wings and Tomato Bisque. My wife had the Mac and Cheese. The turkey was an interesting spin on a favorite dish and the sauce was really good. At the end of the day, Turkey doesn't do it wing style for me. The Bisque was good, just a tad lukewarm. The Mac and Cheese was healthy and had a similar flavor as fondue. We almost ordered the Sushi dish, which later we saw a neighboring table order. It looked really good. I have been told the flat bread is really good too. Things to try next time we visit.
I went with my boyfriend, and the atmosphere was very open and lively even without many people there. There were very thoughtful pieces everywhere, from the furniture to the salt and pepper shakers, to the lighting. Comfortable and sleek.
We did order things a bit out of order, mostly because I wanted to see the entree portions before ordering extras. Over the course of the night, we enjoyed the beef bourginion, wild salmon, duck spring rolls, fresh oysters, and the chef inspired soup of the day, which was pumpkin curry soup, and the coffee bread pudding.
The beef dish was like every individual ingredient was the ideal of carrot, medallion onion, potato etc. All with little meddling from the sauce that accompanied it all. The beef was not overpowering either, mellow but beyond incredibly tender. This dish is simple, though the flavor could've been more robust, it was an excellent dish nonetheless.
The oysters and accompanying sauces were refreshing and tasty. Minimal shell came away with these oysters, maybe one or two very small piece among the dozen.
The duck spring rolls made us both say wow, zesty and bright flavors and the sauce sent it over the edge of ridiculous!
The soup was hands down the best, it was by far my favorite food of the night. It was more a puree in a cup, so the density added a lot of textures that were pleasant on top of the already stellar flavors. There wasnt spicy, though obviously spiced well. It had that ginger/lemongrass tang that is a signature in thai curry, while also being mildly sweet from the pumpkin. I was half kicking myself that I didnt just order two bowls of this instead of my entree! I hope it shows up on the menu again in the future!
The bread pudding was very stylish, but I believe since it was stacked high in a pillar shape, the diced bread didnt all get soaked. Some cubes of it was like croutons, some closer to your standard bread pudding. Th caramel sauce was surrounding it for you to dip the bread into. It was very flavorful, not too rich either. Though some things on the menu stated they cane with ice cream on top, the menu didnt say it about this dish though it came out with ice cream on top so be aware if you can only handle so much dairy. It was seemingly fresh made ice cream, good quality.
There is a neat tablet style device the servers use to put in orders. From walking in to the check after all that food, it was about 45 minutes at the point we were enjoying dessert so their time to put in your order is next to nothing. The check getting split was also very painless. Offered email or print check, not text as I'd seen before. More like a store in that sense.
Our server Desirae(spelling? The servers didnt have name tags) was friendly and actively checked in. By the time I thought of something I needed, she was maybe half a minute behind a need arising at the table. She even came over to ask how we were doing when we didnt have food in our mouths lol we got to actually dignify ourselves with answering her about the phenomenal food! I'm sure you've experienced that a time or two.
Overall the experience was great, and I look forward to going in again to see what else they come up with! I hope this was helpful!
A friend and I went for lunch yesterday. We shared a polenta plate that was delicious. We then shared the soup and sandwich. The loaded potato soup was tasty but could have been hotter. The turkey bacon sandwich was cold, the hoagie roll was hard and stale, we could not eat it. The sandwich was dry, I asked for mayonnaise. I nicely mentioned to our waiter about the bread, he could see that we had not eaten it. It was very disappointing and also that no compensation was given.
Went there around 3pm today, not crowded time to go apparently. Clean, open, and airy, and indoor decor is somewhat utilitarian. Service was prompt and courteous with water glasses constantly kept full. Menu pricingsare somewhat expensive, with basic burger & fries @ $15 -$19 to steak for two costing $79.95. My wife had their pork sandwich @ $16, and said while being good it did not come with enough BBQ sauce. My burger @ $15 was very good and juicy, but not any better tasting than most other fast food chain burgers at half the price. In both our cases, the included fries were on the cool side of warm too (server never asked how our meal was). Menard's is probably the only higher - tier place to eat here in Silverdale WA., but with that being said, you'll be paying a premium on your dining dollars to eat here.
Very good food and presentation, the staff is still getting their groove and we are really looking forward to Maynard's becoming a destination restaurant in Silverdale.
The service and atmosphere were great. The food was not on my best list. While I understand they have a limited menu at the moment they have not posted that online. We chose to go there based on something we wanted on the menu and then they didn't have it. What we did order was nothing special. Even just the ceasar salad wasn't very good. Not messed up but the greens really overpowered the dressing and were bitter tasting. The trout was a bit dry and salty. Mac n cheese with steak was just so so. Had better at other places. The only thing that was above and beyond (other than service) was the desserts. They were good.
The New Years Eve party Maynard's held was fun. From the wait staff, to the kitchen everyone working that night made magic happen. The food was great!! The staff was friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the New Year.
Beautiful restaurant with a great view of the bay. Great date place with a nice wine list and complimenting food options. I had a nice crispy fish with a Washington sauvignon blanc. My only real complaint is the price. A little pricey.
Highly recommended. Truly firing on all cylinders. Very attentive service, excellent atmosphere and presentation. Not least of all, delicious food. Two of us had duck and one rock fish and all the meals were very well prepared. This is the place to go for your special occasions.
Hi there... Just wanted to leave an honest review. We were waiting for this place to get opened to go and try something new... of course like everybody else. > The place itself is nice: modern, cozy, stylish... > The service could be better. The waiter was serving good enough, but she didn t smile not even once, like if we were bothering her. > The food... :( we got disappointed right away! The ribeye steak $39 was burned, see the picture below. The texture was nice, but was burned and had bitter taste afterwards. The vegetables did not even drag attention to try them... potato gratin was not cooked enough! Thank to the manager he came to ask how was the food and I shared with him our dissatisfaction. He tried to make it up and gave us a big discount on our check and for the next visit! Thank him for that, it was nice of him, but that s not the point. The food did not meet our expectations! We wish Maynard s to get better as we understand the place is new and was busy on Sunday. Maybe we will try it again one day... the pictures on the website look amazing, but the taste was not as expected.
This is a very nice place for atmosphere. Lots of choices and price ranges on the menu. That being said, I ordered the swordfish which was nicely presented. The fish was firm and we'll cooked(not too done) moist, etc. The problem? No flavor. And I'm not suffering from covid-19, but this didn't taste like anything. It was blah. The sauce on it was pretty, bright green with lovely red dots, but it was like eating a rue with absolutely no seasoning added. Sorry Maynard's. I probably won't be back too soon.
