The atmosphere in this restaurant is outstanding and the service was excellent. The prices were good and the food was very good. Our only complaint was the menu wasn't very varied otherwise it would be 5 stars. 4.5 stars

I stop by for a beer, on occasion. Today I sat at my usual spot. Bar was a ghost town. Set there for five minutes and no bar tender. I got up and left. Three people at the reception stand, including a manager. Too bad
Priscilla was fabulous! My client Ty and I enjoyed the fancy grilled cheese, fries with Aioli and the portobello burger with black bean soup! Flavors are always on point!
I wanted to provide some feedback on the new restaurant Maynards. I realize they are newly open and have to work out the kinks. The restaurant itself is nice. It's bright and airy. We decided to sit in the bar area, as they were busy in the main dining room.
I had the Heirloom Tomato Salad and the Roasted Broccoli. They both were misses for me. The Heirloom Tomato's were very mushy and there were about 4 mozzarella balls in the whole salad. The dressing was good, but that's about it I can say about the salad. The broccoli was supposed to be roasted, but was steamed. I had asked them to hold the Caraway Cheese, but keep the Parmesan. It came with what looked like boiled onions on top. So overall not impressed with the food or what was on the menu. It definitely is a different fare of food which I am good with. God knows Kitsap needs to have some different choices for sure.
My dining partner had the Kitsap salad and she said overall it was "meh." It looked lovely, but she said the flavor was not there.
The best part of my time at Maynard s was in the coffee shop. I bought an iced vanilla latte and a piece of lemon pound cake. Those both were delicious and the people behind the counter were happy and helpful.
I might give Maynard's another try in a few months, but right now they need to work out a few of the kinks. I also hope they rethink their menu. I get trying to expand people s palettes, but some of the items on the menu are just too much.
Took my three adult children and my two year old granddaughter for their first experience at Maynard s. Upscale for Silverdale. Overall experience was good considering fourth full day of opening week. We all tried something different from the lunch menu. Very good food. Staff accommodating. Great setting with views of Dyes Inlet.
Great food and even better customer service. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was super sweet and was quick to help us. I had the mac and cheese and I promise you will not regret getting it. My husband had the pizza and the crust was awesome. Definitely would recommend
Amazing steaks, I was told that a very famous steak restaurant did not reopen their doors so far, and accordingly Maynard's managed to score their aged steaks. Oh wow! there's a reason you pay the upscale prices for upscale steaks and Maynard's managed to make it affordable. What a treat! Presentation was tremendous, the service was fantastic. We had pot de creme for dessert. And I have never had a better dessert. Marvelous presentation, I can't say enough good things!
Nice new restaurant. A fun experience of trying new things. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Roasted Beets and Pear Flatbread. All were delicious. If you like beets, make sure to order these. They had pieces of fig and (I believe) bacon in them. So yummy. Heaven for beet lovers like myself. I didn't take a photo until after I had already eaten half. We sat by the fireplace and began to sweat immediately, just too hot to be that close, but they were willing to shut it off for us. Food came out quickly and hot. We'll be back to try out the kids menu soon.
Fig flatbread tantalized my taste buds into wanting to order a second one! Love the welcoming smiles of the friendly FOH staff and my servers were as pleasant as could be. Thank you, Victoria, for the enjoyable visit! I will be back soon!
Hands down the best restaurant in Silverdale and possibly in the entire Kitsap area. Great food and excellent service. If you ve never eaten here then you are missing out on a great experience.
Attentive but not overbearing service. Food came out surprisingly fast for how busy the restaurant was! Fresh, hot delicious food. We had the duck confit spring rolls, NY steak sub mash potatoes for roasted, and the tandoori chicken flatbread. Didn't take any pictures because we couldn't wait to dig in. Environment was comfortable and very clean. We saw a lot of food go out that looked as equally tasty as what we ordered. Can't wait to return.
Similar to Anthony's chain restaurants in internal design and overall feel, but with more local and more creative menu choices. Staff is more personable and attentive. I think prices are very reasonable and a bit less than Anthony's. Would eat again and recommend without hesitation.
This is our favorite local hang! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, outstanding service, and a wonderful menu. It s so hard to find a restaurant where you just feel the love in the cousine-where it s more than just food assembled together. This place has got the LOVE! Tonight we were treated to an appetizer of tater-tot poutine, where a rich demi-glaze and shaved Parmesan turned simple tots into the best appetizer I have ever had. Seriously, ask for this! For dinner I tried the scallops and my husband had the sea bass. I haven t had a dish in Kitsap county yet that could even compare with either of these! Thank you for the love, the creativity, and the service, Maynard s! You re simply our favorite!
Beautiful building, inside and out, but very disappointed to find their only vegan offerings are a lentil soup and fries. The soup was delicious though.
Let me start out hu saying their atmosphere is great. Very spacious, modern, warm, and inviting. With that being said, if you are sitting on the side of the restaurant with the open kitchen, it's pretty loud. You can hear everything going on in the kitchen and its distracting from your conversation. In addition to that, the food..... less than desirable. It looks pretty, its tastes does not meet the expectations. Over prices, under seasoned, under quantity. Cheese cards are bomb, meat and cheese platter tastes like burned smoke, pizza tasted like it was from costco. Looks expensive, is expensive, tastes.... not good. Probably wont be going back anytime soon.
I would love to thank Sandy And her team for being such a great host, organizer, thoughtful and caring person for my son and daughter in laws wedding. I absolutely loved the kind and thoughtfulness she gave us with these uncertain times. She pulled off not only the rehearsal dinner and our wedding dinner with so many beautiful touches. She got this together in 2 weeks but pulled it off so graciously. Thank you for the personal touch. We are grateful and appreciate you more than you know.
My family has been waiting to try Maynard's out and so far have only tried their brunch. We went the other morning for brunch and were pleasantly surprised to find out that there wasn't a huge wait first of all.
Right off the bat the only thing that really put us off is that we had our 3 year old with us and they handed us a kids menu but it was for dinner/lunch. I asked if they had a kids menu for brunch and were told no by both the waitress and the hostess. They said that they could make her something but it's always hard to do that when they don't have a menu because you never know what they are going to charge for said items. Ideally they would have a few different kids options but instead there were none. We ended up ordering her a $5 english muffin since there wasn't other options really, definitely not ideal. I would have loved to order her an egg, toast, fruit option etc.
( I had previously messaged the restaurant asking if they had kids menus for brunch and didn't receive a response until after we had already gone, oddly they said that they did in fact have a menu and that they will need to re-educate their staff. I did appreciate the quick response and have managed multiple food establishments myself so the response wasn't taken lightly. I just would have much preferred to have received the proper information for my daughter so she could have had a better meal. )
They started off by bringing us complimentary lemon poppyseed muffins and they were a pleasant little surprise. I tried the biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs and it was really delicious! The gravy was really tasty and the scrambled eggs definitely tasted like fresh eggs (you know how you can just taste the difference with fresh eggs, these definitely tasted that way). My husband tried one of their breakfast burgers and absolutely loved it.
The food was quite enjoyable and we were very glad to have gone to try it out. We will have to come back and try the dinner another time.
On the way out I did also buy an Almond Croissant to try later, I was disappointed in the lack of Almond paste, it really tasted more like a croissant with almonds on top instead of filled with almond paste. Now, I went to school as a pastry chef so sometimes I can be a bit picky about them but definitely would change up their recipe on that one.
Overall though, enjoyable experience. Most of it tasted great and everyone was extremely nice while we were there, just need to make sure that everyone on staff is well informed about the menu so that children actually get a good meal next time!
It's a beautiful place. Ended up going for a late lunch early dinner. It's new so we wanted to try a lot of different things. The spicy sausage flatbread was delicious, and so was the artichoke dip. Friends ordered the beats and they loved it. Ordered a burger and a Bratwurst. Both are really good. The french fries were delicious and the side salad was beautiful. We'll definitely have to go back and try it again. Will definitely always get the artichoke dip.
After eating here, I was violently for four hours until I got the last of the gumbo out. Also, you better write the total including tip because they still haven't resolved their system to email you the receipt. When I printed mine it was four pages long and only included the $38 part, but no detail and certainly not cents. This is a beautiful facility but I'm afraid of eating there again.
Great atmosphere and food to match! If you're there for date night, head on in to the bar. Disgruntled children might ruin the vibe Plenty of vegan and gluten free options available. Other than the not so happy children in our section, everything was fabulous.
Has a very modern aesthetic that's pleasant to look at. Was seated very quickly at a booth and served just as quick by an attentive and pleasant server. The layout is spacious enough so that customers and employees can pass by each other easily and you and your company can enjoy your meal and conversation without being cramped next to other customers. Food is a bit pricey but had excellent presentation and the taste was solid. Highly recommend the zucchini artichoke flatbread. Kudos to the chefs!
We went to Maynard's again last night. I had the pastrami sandwich with salad my wife had the hangar steak and fries. The service this time was very good. They have improved significantly since opening. It still isnt the best but I think they are getting there. The salad dressing a BlackBerry vinaigrette was too much white vinegar and very little blackberries. It was very astringent. The pastrami was lean and delicious. The bread was fresh and worked well with the pastrami and sauce. The hangar steak was significantly over salted but was cooked to a perfect medium was tender and juicy. Cooks need to back off the salt. There is salt on the table for those who embrace salt with open arms.
Just odd. Reminded me of eating at an airport. Ordered pizza and the sauce was on top in a roll like goose droppings. Definitely more flatbread than pizza. Ordered bacon pesto pizza and the bacon and pesto had no flavor. Overheard wait staff complaining to customers about how the restaurant smelled. Parking lot was pretty full and restaurant was pretty empty, so I'm guessing it was staff? Just weird.
Elk burger the best .. Love it .. definitely coming back for this one.. German snitches is good too.. Thank you Perscilla , super friendly . Like her recommendation for food.. Great place to go
Exceptional service, food was absolutely delicious!!! The food not only tastes amazing but the presentation is unique and beautiful. The restaurant is modern, clean and tasteful. I've been wanting a restaurant like this in Kitsap county and finally we have one! I would recommend this place to anyone.
The building is beautiful and the vibe is cool. Staff is friendly and engaging and the little spot with fresh items for sale was cool. Food was delicious! I had the Crispy Rock Fish and Tiramisu.
Elisha was amazing, very friendly and checked on us often. I did not catch the name for the gentleman at front door greeting us but he had great energy and very friendly. We enjoyed our meal and drinks. We will come again.
The food was diner at best... the service was slow.. there wasn't a lot of people in the restaurant... it took over 25 mins to be served.. soup and a salad. It took 15 mins to even put the order in.. nope I won't be back. Dont care what the special is..
My wife and I had dinner here recently. The venue is amazing. great layout, view and modern. On that fact alone I will be coming back. The price was reasonable if not a little pricey. Given that they want to food to be unique, knowing what to order was somewhat tricky. I went with the spicy turkey wings and Tomato Bisque. My wife had the Mac and Cheese. The turkey was an interesting spin on a favorite dish and the sauce was really good. At the end of the day, Turkey doesn't do it wing style for me. The Bisque was good, just a tad lukewarm. The Mac and Cheese was healthy and had a similar flavor as fondue. We almost ordered the Sushi dish, which later we saw a neighboring table order. It looked really good. I have been told the flat bread is really good too. Things to try next time we visit.
Excellent service, great atmosphere, delicious food. At our table we had the Crab and Shrimp Salad, Crab Cakes, and Pear Gorgonzola Ravioli. We give all 5 stars.
Excellent Excellent Excellent My family and I had a delicious afternoon lunch there. We feasted on their pork sandwiches and bison burgers. Absolutely will be going back there again. Our waitress was friendly and curtious. When there was a mistake in our order, she promptly had it corrected. We all had a definite positive experience there.
I had the 10 oz New York steak with red potatoes, assorted vegetables and a side dish of sauteed mishrooms. My perception was too much pepper, not much gravy. I felt the steak was not worth the $41.00 that was charged. The sauteed mushrooms were good and the vegetables were ok. As far as ambiance goes, excellent. Wait staff were great and the coffee was strong but not bitter. I also thought that the food selection was inadequate. Sorry Maynard, I'm glad I came but probably won't be back.
Sorry to say my wife and I were disappointed. The coffee cup I was given was dirty, we didn't care for the coffee flavour (we can be a bit of a coffee snobs) and the meals were cold. The coffee cup was replaced but no apology was offered and the cups of water we requested never arrived.
The manager (we presumed) asked about our meals as we were packing them up to take back to the hotel and did offer to provide hotter meals but we were unsure what would have been delivered.
Arrived at 1130 am for lunch. Was seated in the bar/lounge area. Dan my server seemed less than interested to be serving customers. He took my drink order and it took over 10 minutes to receive a glass of wine. While I was waiting he seated 3 other tables and took their orders. I finally flagged down a different server who had my drink order to me in under 30 seconds. Love this place but please hire servers who want to be there!
Absolutely the worst service I received in years, wrong food, not cooked right. Had to go ask for condiments and coffee refills. Waitress never even came back. Cook delivered our food and wasn't even right. 1st and last time customer.
Food was mediocre and overpriced. Service was mediocre. Atmosphere was really nice. Many of the other dishes around us looked wonderful. The Greek style lamb shank was dry and the polenta was absolutely terrible. Beer selection was great, only if you like IPA, which I don't. My wife had wonderful pork belly, but it also was served with the dry tasteless polenta. I might give them another chance, but probably not.
The Kitsap has welcomed 2 new restaurants this last year: the Crabtree in Poulsbo and Maynard's in Silverdale. Both are a new breed for us Kitsap-ites: they're big! Similar openness, both offering to extend your experience with teaching kitchens. Maynard's is a great option, reasonably priced, interesting menu, big capacity. I think it has become our go to place for family dinners. The Crabtree? My first visit there was a disaster. Haven't been back yet.
