Food was above average. Appetizer started the meal out great and then the main courses just finished a strong second. On the other hand the service was terrible, missed order forgotten drinks and it was not that busy. Swing and miss but will try it again.

I ordered the Greek Style Lamb Shank. I absolutely loved it!! I d definitely order it again. My husband ordered the Ahi Tuna. He said it was good but wouldn t order it again. Nice, new experience.
We always have a good experience here. Taylor was very sweet. My daughter was disappointed with the Mac and cheese. I asked and I guess the recipe was changed. I remember the old one being better as well. Lobster roll was delish. The restaurant is clean and not too loud. Hope they bring back the old Mac and cheese at least for the kids. If they don t like the food we can t come back.
Restaurant is overpriced and food marginally acceptable. Of course, it might be acceptable for WOKE people and the owner only wishes to cater to people who share his ideology.
Food was cold and dessert was raw. Manager refused for the server to take the peach cobbler off our tab when she offered as it had taken nearly the whole dessert for two of us to recognize the dough was raw. We stepped in and said we would pay for it, our notifying them was just an fyi... But it was awkward to witness the manager question his employee's decision and our truth in front of us.
Was super excited to eat at this place but won't be going back. Service was bad as well as the price for the food you get. Looks classy but not worth the time and money. But that's not even the worst part, order they're pork belly with chesse grits and apples. I got food poisoning and made my weekend the worst. It was my only weekend off as well..
The food has improved a lot, 4th visit, but the service is still not good at all. 2 hours for a meal for two....sooo much wait time. People who came after us ate, paid, and left, before we got our meal. We had super easy bar food - veggie pizza and fried chicken. Really want them to succeed. We need another option. But...come on!!
Best thing we ordered was a side dish of potatoes with cheese sauce! It's always a bummer when a side dish outshines the main fare! Hollandaise on the eggs benedict was so thin I couldn't see it, and the flavor was also missing. French toast bits were super dry and hard to chew, but it was nice to have fresh berries!
I have been in nice places in the area, this place has the atmosphere and view to match the food. My first meal here was Duck Confi and Diver Scallops. Scallops we was tasty and we'll cooked. We had a great meal and great time. Would return many times.
It took close to an hour for food. When it came it wasn't correct (wrong side). When it came back they used the same dirty plate AND the brussel sprouts were raw. When it came out again it was raw again. The manager appeared to be not happy I sent it back. For the rest of the meal they acted like we were invisible. It took forever to get the check...I learned how to make flowers with my napkin....
Creative menu with really great food ideas that just hit the mark a bit. Had a overly salted dish that was hard to get through. Friendly service will have us trying it again sometime.
Dinner was excellent as usual. It was great to get out to a restaurant under CV-19 circumstances. We love the "Just Beet It" salad and have craved it for months. Chef Edgar made a magnificent swordfish steak for our anniversary meal. Dessert was a very tasty Lemon Praline Cheesecake. I enjoyed the table visit by Chef Edgar and his in depth discussion about the restaurant was very informative. Thanks for a wonderful evening !
It's a beautiful restaurant. The food was good. I wish my food would've been warmer, but when you're bringing out 12 dishes at the same time, some are going to be cooler. The waitstaff was lacking. I've never been to a restaurant where empty dishes sit on the table until after you're gone. It was my first time & last to go there.
I had lunch for the first time and ordered the daily special sandwich. It was huge so we split it. The bun was way too thick (3 inches) and a thin layer of chopped beef with grilled onion, which was dry. It helped that it came with au jus. The pumpkin curry soup had good flavor but not much like soup. It was so thick I could turn my spoon upside down and it wouldn t fall off. To end the experience, there was a hair on my plate. It is a beautiful huge facility with lots of room for events and great view. I might try it again just to give it another honest chance, but disappointed because I was hoping we were getting a good quality place in town.
Thank you so much for all that you did for our event. We appreciate all you provided all the attention, thoughtfulness, kindness, attention to detail, wonderful and delicious (overflowing) food and fantastic service. Your restaurant is managed really well and you have created a stellar team. It was beyond what we expected. Thank you for treating us well and make us feel special and our event memorable!
I want to give this place another try. Had the bucklin burger, it was cold and underwhelming. Sat in the bar, service was slow, but will go back again another time.
Absolutely phenomenal service, amazing food and outstanding views!!! I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone looking for a fantastic experience!!!
This was one of the most lack-luster places that I've ever eaten, considering the quality I thought I would be receiving. I ordered an oyster shooter and the octopus for an appetizer. The octopus was so rubbery and chewy that it took me 45 minutes to finish eating. I only ate it because not one person came by to ask how it was and it took that long to get a waitstaff member to come over. I was starving to say the least. I'm not sure if they cooked it too fast or for too long... but I think it might have been a rubber boot. The oyster shooter came with vodka, which was great. I am of drinking age, but no one carded me and i look really young. I was surprised by the shot of vodka it was served with. Most places ask if you'd like it with alcohol or not. When our waitstaff member finally came back through, I ordered the wild mushroom ravioli. That was a mistake. They topped the entire ravioli dish with balsamic glaze. I love balsamic glaze. I always get it on pizza, but i have never almost thrown up from one bit of ravioli on my tongue in the middle of a restaurant, and that is what almost happened. It took another 45 minutes for waitstaff to come back through and ask how the food was. The kind woman had the chef cook me a new batch. This was the single shining moment from the entire experience. The ravioli without the balsamic glaze, extremely disappointing. No flavor. Still trying to figure out if they think bottled balsamic glaze is supposed to makeup for the bland ravioli. I really hope they are made in house... I thought the ravioli would be stuffed with mushrooms, it isn't. Cheese ravioli. They are very strange. The course would do better with a beef stroganoff type sauce. My friend ordered bread and butter for 4 bucks. She got quite a bit and liked it. I dont think she liked her beef gnocchi as it was sweet like short ribs but in a very similar sauce to my ravioli, if not the same one.
I am shocked at the distaste in my mouth after eating here. From a menu that seems stacked, it sure didn't even come close to meeting the a bare minimum on taste. Blah.
Also, two people (1 of 4 tables occupied in the bar) and we were here for 2.5 hours??
Nice atmosphere, beautiful clean facility, great service, and excellent food. I have only been here once. I had the elk burger and the Gorgonzola sun-dried tomato combination made it memorable. Maynard's is my new favorite restaurant in Silverdale and I will be eating here again the next time I am in town. Awesome place; simple yet elegant.
Nice ambience, spacious restaurant. Roasted tomato soup of the day was excellent, fries very good, burger decent (bun a little soggy on bottom, not well done as requested), and Manhattan excellent.
I've only been one time, so i may revise this review. The place has a very nice ambiance, and it is clear that thought went into the look and feel of the physical space. It has good, eye-pleasing lighting that isn't too dim to really see your food. Service was very good. We tried the seafood pizza, for $20. It was very good, and there was not a shortage of ingredients, as one often finds on pizza outside of pizza restaurants. We had oyster shooters ($3), and were pleasantly surprised that they came in a tumbler with about a shot of vodka and what looked like freshly made bloody Mary ingredients. They tasted so good and fresh! We tried the sea urchin (a little spendy at $8 for what you get).it tasted very fresh and distinct. The meat was in a half "shell", with some kind of vaguely sweet, cold sorbet in the shell under the meat. There was a decent sprinkling of fish eggs on top. I enjoyed it, my partner didn't... mostly due to texture. It's very soft, but i didn't find it slimy. We'll be back.
Food is decent. Bar service was pretty lacking.. seemed like the bartender mostly paid attention to his friends/people he knew. Very little interest it seemed to anyone else. Beers were kinda pricey and my basic beer was served in a 8ish oz glass. Our first time there.. may give it another go sometime, but there are plenty of places we can go with friendlier/more "happy to see you" service.
Did not have a good experience. Their food and service was bad. The food is expensive for what you get and the presentation is lacking. Would not go again.
It's nice with a fancy setting. Friendly staff and nice food. The menu is kinda limited and it's a bit pricey but still a 5 star review with the nice outdoor view and the perfect service
I ate there months ago and loved a particular dish. My son took me there today for lunch and what I wanted was no longer on the menu. I mentioned it to my server who spoke to the chef. He prepared that dish for me. Rarely do you find that type of service these days. Bravo and much thanks.
Bison burger and Tandoori chicken are excellent for lunch! The menu is impressively diverse without "typical" dishes filling up space. We will be back to sample more of the food soon!
Service was awesome! Our waitress was very sweet and welcoming. Food...not so much. We had a bread pudding and it was dry and not plated well.
I think the restaurant itself has WAY too much going on, menu-wise and as far as the things they do there. The architecture smacks of an airport mall area. Too open, and too commercial looking. In theory the ideas they have are great but they may want to consider focusing on one or two elements and nailing those and then moving on to other endeavors.
About a month ago me and my family came here for dinner and we had the place mostly to ourselves, we sat out by the fireplace and cooked smores. We had the tomahawk steak and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had, it had an exilent presentation and was amazing. Can't wait to come again
Seemed over priced for what I got, it's a nice enough place, tons of natural light... just didn't live up to the hype. Some of the service was slow and it wasn't busy when I was there with my friends.
Had another great meal here! Tried the beastmaster burger and macncheese with steak, both were really well put together. Wait staff was really attentive, and food arrived at the table in less than 15min. We'll be back often!
Best MF Old Fashion & Manhattan on this side of the water. Took a chance on the Chef special Chorizo Mac & Cheese and it was just so good that I forgot about all my worries. It was magical. See Chris in the bar and let him know you heard he's an undercover celebrity.
My husband and I enjoyed a delightful late lunch yesterday. We started with the beet shared plate, he had the burger and I enjoyed the tacos. Everything was fantastic. The restaurant is spacious, clean with booths divided by plexiglass for safety. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation with Derek, who clearly loves his job and is proud to work at Maynards. We ll be back with friends. It was the highlight of our weekend.
Went here today with my husband for a late lunch/ early dinner. We had such high expectations after seeing the parking lot full on previous occasions. We got the mussels appetizer, I had the scallop dish, and he had a burger. His burger looked decent, but he said it wasn t anything special. My scallop dish came out room temperature and had absolutely no flavor, not to mention it was drowning in a soup of butter. The mussels were okay, but they served them to us with 2 mussels that had never even opened when they cooked them. Now a few hours later my husband keeps throwing up from food poisoning. I would not recommend, and will not be returning.
I have never been disappointed when i come in . This is my 4th time. The crew is always spot on you need somthing the are accomedating with a smile on their face. The food OH the food is delicious and i like the fact that ingredients are local
I must say this was a disappointment. Advertised as fine dining but falls short of the mark. My food was cooked well but was cold and lacked flavor, I needed salt and pepper yet none was available. My wife's cocktail was $11, while not horribly expensive, was much on the weak side. I felt that the atmosphere was like a casino buffet. Lighting is too bright, not warm and inviting. Decor felt cheap, like a remodeled hotel lobby done with poor taste. I would rather drive the 35 minutes to Tacoma and go to BJs or the water front. The gas and time would add cost however the experience and dinner price more reasonable and frankly lightyears ahead. Beer selection was weak, for IPAs drinkers it would be fine but lacked variety, (WA is micro brew county) Overall: (out of 5) Service - 5 Atmosphere - 1 (it was clean) Food - 2 Bar- 2
Pre-opening event was wonderful! Food was very tasty and the atmosphere/location very desirable. Since it was a trial run night, food service was slow but the final result was worth the wait. We will definitely be back.
Everything about our dinner was amazing. I had the rock fish which was excellent, My husband had the New York steak which was perfectly prepared as well. Atmosphere was great.
Excellent. Poke salad was exceptional. Great service. Daughter was given birthday warm brownie with scoop of ice cream. Really good. Alittle pricey but food was excellent. Will go again.
What a BEAUTIFUL place!! The experience is just lovely, the food is amazing, the view is great, the esthetics are stunning!! There is plenty of parking. The space is flexible for any celebration-- rehearsal dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties-- you name it!! The staff are professional and friendly. The food is locally sourced!! Come dressed up or in jeans, for coffee, a spectacular meal, or just a drink!! I LOVE Maynard's!!!
Great food cannot stop coming here lol I have been here once a week for what seems like forever. Fair pricing for awesome food. Silverdale needed this restaurant and it needs more like it. Great Sunday Football Menu.
Never got our food. Sat there for 40 minutes with water. We ordered a hummus plate and bread board and two steaks. Never got our appetizer and about 30 minutes later the waitress came and said someone took our appetizers to the wrong table and our food is ready. We left.
Ok experience. I expected a bit more from an establishment that bills themselves as "Kitsap's culinary destination". I had lentil soup and an Apple salad, which were good. My husband had some very pricey macaroni and cheese that turned out to be about 2 cups of pale macaroni and cheese on a plate, no garnish, nothing else. Not very appetizing looking, and was not amazing in taste. Our server appeared to be fairly new and described a few things inaccurately, but provided excellent service other than that. I think that it would be good to give them some more time before trying out.
Wasn't that great...overpriced for the Culinary Experience The Short Rib Gnocchi were terrible...the sauce tasted like a Bouillon Cube that wasn't boiled down..We had 2 plates in our group both tasted bad..Ordered a Long Island Iced Tea..too much alcohol..it was clear...no coke..no lemon really it was a Long Island Iced Tea..ordered Mashed Potatoes and Gravy zero flavor in the gravy and potatoes where gritty..
Outstanding.! A true culinary religious experience. Excellent food, highest quality! It s as good as it gets. Staff are wonderful. My number one choice in Kitsap County. Definitely worth a ferry ride across the water.
Six of us had dinner there last night. Food quality not very good, drinks didn t come until we got our entrees. Word was that the bartender was very busy. Why they didn t pull someone else in to help shows poor management. Octopus starter was overcooked and very tough. My rockfish was supposed to be coconut encrusted but no coconut flavor was to be found. Supposed to be topped with pineapple slaw but was dry shredded cabbage with one piece of pineapple. Fish sat on coconut rice which was over cooked and mushy. My partners steak was so so as were my friends entrees. She and another friend ordered cups of lentil soup and got cups of glop, thick as oatmeal. Do the cooks not know what s soup is? Same with the lamb shank and beef bourguignon- all quite so so with not much flavor. It s clear that the cooks don t really care what they are putting out. Service was so so- our waiter came back to clarify our order after five minutes saying she couldn t read her own writing! All in all, for a place opened for a month, doesn t look like a place that we ll be back to. With food like this, won t be surprised to see them closed by this time next year.
We had lunch there on January 5th. The food was very good. However the service was awful. I had to go and find someone to wait on us after waiting for a good 20minute or so. Then he watching tv more then taking care us.
Poor customer service we had reservations and was seated in the bar area in a cold corner. Everyone had their coats on. Waitress rude serviced warm water and cold food.Very disappointed I had guests from out on town.
The entrees were good. However, we ordered bread as an appetizer that was basically a cut up store bought hoagie roll. The butter with it was unique but I was expecting a little more for the price. Overall the food was good but overpriced. I was hoping for a little more.
