The hotel, the pools and the beach have very nice views but the sea there is rocky so you can not get into the water but if you can take many pictures on the docks hahaha the activities are good, the time invested in transfers of the room to the pools sometimes it is a lot, we had problems to enter our room the first day it was resolved in two or 3 hours !! There was a gringo who was also furious about some bad service and he was on his honeymoon, from there he did not paint well, he spent another 2 times the room removing that, we had a nice time, it is very nice and large which It could be something good or bad, depending on how they see it.

Room was a basic hotel room with no microwave or amenities to heat up your food. Food and drinks are outrageously high for the taste. Would recommend a different place with more accommodations.

We stayed at the Grand Bliss for about a week. The rooms are very nice and spacious with marble floors and all the usual amenities. There is a private pool area and a private beach. Room service is decent. Getting a taxi to go anywhere is a bit of a pain because you have to take a shuttle to the Central lobby

Excellent place to vacation, I love the facilities and the rooms are very good. The pools are very big and very nice. The bad thing is the prices inside the place since it is very much, the beach is very beautiful but it has many stones. Outside of that all excellent and always friendly service and service.

Based on what I like in a resort, I would give this place a 1. You couldn't pay me go go back. However, a few days of reflection has tempered my review. This place is huge, 1000 plus acres, 5 hotels of differing luxury, probably more than a dozen restaurants, a water park, nature trails, and several shopping areas. The idea being that you have everything there and never have to leave the resort. Being that it's out in the middle of nowhere, maybe not such a bad idea. But, you are constantly being shuttled from one place to another. Take everything you might need in a day with you, because it takes half an hour to get back to your room. They also do a poor job of explaining how the shuttle system works. You just have to ask somebody everytime. Food at the restaurants is pretty good, but spendy. Lots of walking and not mobility- challenged friendly. Avoid the sales presentation unless you are experienced and knowledgeable about timeshares, and assume you are going to blow the better part of a day. Staff is very friendly and usually helpful, but sometimes even they don't know what's going on.

You have to take a shuttle to the pool and beach. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes but sometimes you have to wait longer because they're a lot of guests waiting for shuttles. The beachfront is nice but once you try to get into the water there are a lot of rocks so I recommend water shoes. Food is okay and customer service is not that good. This is not an all-inclusive resort so you either eat here or go out to buy your food. But again to go buy your food you have to take a shuttle.

Seems like a very nice place until you realize they are timeshare sellers (although like all of them, they claim they are not like the others - they sell "memberships"). Spent 1 1/2 days of my vacation in them selling me. Starts out at $80,000 until they get down to a more realistic price (still over $10,000). Not forthcoming in fees til they want you to sign paperwork (many add on fees). Offer to "trade in" your timeshare when in reality you are just putting it up for sale and may have to pay on both for no guaranteed amount of time. Have you finance through numerous companies so there are multiple payments for all the costs. Do like we did and just walk away if you choose to go here. You would be better off finding an all inclusive resort and enjoying yourself while vacationing.
However, I must say the pool is amazing - the beach however is not. It is very rocky and not good for swimming or snorkeling. If you are fluent in Spanish, you shouldn't have much problem with the staff. If you are not, it may take numerous employees before one understands what you are saying. They do keep the grounds very well maintained and the restaurants are nice, albeit a bit pricey.

One of the best hotels I've ever been! It even has a service to pick up your purchases and take you to the room! It has ample and thematic swimming pools. It has numerous restaurants with varied meals.

The facilities are excellent, in a matter of pools and rooms, but something that is repeated in the hotels vidanta is the filthy trains, they are trains that you have to take to go where you want all the time, they are slow and there are many people lining up to fix that if they succeed it would be excellent

Beautiful hotel with many things to see and do, unfortunately do not have all-inclusive plan and European plan if you end up with a considerable account. Ask for a room with a kitchen and prepare your pantry.

Dated, the rooms and grounds in the Mayan Palace need updating. The one bedroom suite is very large but simple furniture, the partial kitchen is small. One phone jack is broken. Few electric outlets in the suite. The shower head is loose and the finish on the bath tub is sad. There doesn't seem to be much attention to details. The view from our third floor room is jungle. The property is so sprawling it is often quite far to walk. If you choose to wait for the property shuttle train you get eaten by the mosquitoes. Some of the staff either don't care to help or are not trained well. For a quick dinner on our first night we paid $20 for 2 deli sandwiches. Prices in the market are very high. Sorry that we committed to 3 weeks here.

The place is beautiful but the logistic is kinda bad. Everything is just so far away. I have to walk seven minutes to get to lobby and if I decide to wait for the car it takes more than ten minutes. This is really bad.

Great resort. Perfect place to go to relax especially if you don't want to leave the resort grounds. Beware that you need trams to get around the property which is ridiculously big. Taking the trams to transfer to other trams to get around makes it very time consuming.

Came to stay for a week. Didn't like the the fact that u have to pay a resorts fees after paying for the whole week. I didnt like our room the AC everytime it turned in would make an annoying squeaking noise all night and day. To go to the gym they charge u . The toilet seat in our room was broken. If you use internet they do even tell you how much it cost. I dont think I will ever come back.

This vacation was spectacular, the hotel facilities are designed for the family to enjoy each space. The pool, the beach, the restaurants, the rooms all invite you to stay not a week but two or three to visit all the restaurants. The most valuable thing about this place is its people, each one of them takes pains to make you feel at home, no matter where you come from, you are the king or the queen of the place. The pool is Mr. Feliciano who lives up to his name, sharing the joy of living and his humble but special work, handing over towels, and makes the sun shine if it is cloudy . People like him make your vacation happier. Each of the collaborators greet you in a special way, placing your right hand on the left side of the chest. It is a unique greeting from VIDANTA that we understand that it is especially dedicated to us by its guests, indicating that everything is done with the heart. Visit the Mayan Palace of the vidanta group and enjoy a spectacular vacation.
