The hotel facilities are very good, the rooms are ...

The hotel facilities are very good, the rooms are very good, however flee to another room if I touch you on the ground floor and at the beginning of the building because you will hear the luggage carts and the guests themselves screaming. But I THANK THE RESORT'S ATTENTION IN CHANGING ME ROOM WHEN I REQUESTED IT. The bad thing about the bedrooms is that if you plan to cook you will have to put a little more oil because it sticks.

One thing implemented is the transport within the hotel through little trains, to go from the pool to the room or to the beach there is no problem because you can walk, but if you want to leave the hotel for a walk or another matter you must take 2 trains to the "transfer" station and then a second transfer to the central lobby, if you are lucky the direct transfer to the central lobby will arrive because the previous one makes some previous stops. However, you can walk among the wooden walkers, although it may seem far away, it is cool to walk among the vegetation and be able to observe the coatis and some birds on the way to your destination, in addition to listening to music through the speakers that are found. along the roads.

If you stay here you must understand that EVERYTHING IS CHARGED APART, the "parking tax" per day even if you are a guest, be careful to leave dishes unwashed if your room has a kitchen because the "cleaning" service is charged weekly, if you want one Bed by the pool with umbrella is charged separately and with reservation, the buffet for what it is is expensive, and it depends if you want "basic" or not.

For the all inclusive packages (considering that you pay more or less depending on what you want to get) that exist today it is an expensive option if you do everything inside the hotel.

In addition, there are now more categories for guests within the complex and depending on the category you have, you can enter some pools or not.

I must admit that all the staff have always been and are very friendly, everyone with whom we had contact. I like that everyone has the microphone and the earpiece for quick attention, I like that they have had the attention to change the room when I requested it, that the girl goes twice a day (the 1st to make the beds and cleaning and the 2nd to prepare the beds for which we sleep) I love those details. The size of the central pool is enough for people who go swimming and that it is open 24 hours a day is always a good option.

I think we will all agree that the beaches of Vidanta cannot swim much, since there are rocks on the shore of all its beach even if you belong to the highest category (Luxxe) you will find rocks on the shore, in short, you should wear sandals swimming as you can hit or cut yourself on the rock if you are not careful, in addition to that if you stop to look between the holes in those rocks you will find small red sea urchins that are distinguished when the wave retracts.

Cheers

Gorgeous grounds, lots of pools - great food! I have a healing ankle from a break so the size of the resort has been hard as there is a good amount of walking. Wouldn't be a bad if I wasn't injured.

Extremely great relaxing Resort. Over 20 bars and restaurants throughout the complex. One of the greatest pool areas I've ever seen multi-layered with infinity edges and platforms throughout. Staff was extremely friendly courteous and always willing to help. Many different locations for rooms I should say buildings. Mayan Palace being the largest of the groupings. Concierge at each building complex very willing to help. Many different types of restaurant from Mexican to Italian two steak to All Around even bar food. Probably four or five different pool areas throughout the complex. Cirque du Soleil has a building nearby where they do shows. In the main pool there are to swim up bars. Everything is done via a electronic key card which you wear on your wrist you pay no cash anywhere everything is charged to your room the wrist key card also is your key entry to the room. Would go back in a heartbeat

Never confuse the super kindness of the hotel staff with that of the vendors, they take the opportunity to offer you a breakfast and take 6 hours or even more. Do not feel ugly to send them to hell. It is a whole day dedicated to this, in the Mayan riviera there are many things to see. If you have to get rid of them in a rude way, do it. I assure you that you will not regret it.

The term "free breakfast" may sound attractive but if you take into account how much you pay for daily accommodation and that they take 5 to 7 hours away. You paid for breakfast with your time.

They keep calling the room to invite you to their breakfast where they explain everything about the developments of their hotel chain. It is all a harassment that of the calls.

Despite all this, the rest is perfect, the place is very beautiful, the staff extremely friendly, they maintain their areas well.

The wildlife is at ease in this place, you can see many birds, iguanas, and coatis, they do not come out terrified to see you, this speaks well of both the tourism that arrives at the hotel and the staff. Near the Green break restaurant there is a small area where you can observe hatchling Moreleti Crocodiles, and they have fenced areas to see the adult crocodiles.

Nice clean and well-maintained pools. Well-kept green areas.

Unfortunately I am considering not recommending it to my friends, what vidanta strives with everything else spoils with its harassing sales policy.

It is a very nice hotel has all the amenities the pools are truly beautiful.
Within the facilities have a variety of animals that live freely as coatis, flamingos, also have crocodiles although they are in a controlled space for security reasons.

An amazingly natural place, where care for the environment and fauna have been combined with tourism and relaxation. Occasionally you may run into one or another wild animal and observe them in their natural habitat, which is an excellent experience for young children. It also has clean pools and different recreational places, as well as restaurants and shops where you can buy souvenirs or food to prepare in your rooms (these are implemented with kitchen). The accommodation is extremely comfortable and clean, and the entire establishment, except for certain areas, such as tracks, has wifi. Another good point is that they offer transportation at any time for any area.
The inconvenience is the expensive of the place, the food is expensive, the food to cook are expensive, to get a good wifi you need to pay extra.

Wonderful 5 star resort. Restaurants are 5 star quality at 3 and 4 star prices. Attentive servers.

However, the staff was inconsistent in answering my questions particularly about the lazy river. Late Dec 2017 it is NOT open at all. Not parts of it, not to just the Grand Luxe guests. The lazy river is still under construction. ; Cashless resort is a fallacy.
Benefits of blue Vinca card were poorly explained.

I don't want to sound so negative, having a wonderful time, but those were my peeves.

The room keeping staff was great, the people at the front desk was awful, they bill you wrong, they call you at 7am to get you to upgrade your time share. The food is not that great. It's a big money grab for them. Everything is high priced.

The place is very good a little expensive but the truth is excellent food, many people are very large and one that another employee a little rude what they do have to be very careful is when booking, they mention that it is a hotel Diamond category and that by promotion has a super discount, reservations and as soon as they charge you to your t / c they tell you that you have to enter a talk to sell you mandatory timeshares but they tell you since you paid, when they install you in your room, surprise the room is 3 stars is not a diamond category as they mention you when booking since in the whole hotel they have several hotels or timeshares and the most expensive if they are diamond category, when they book they clarify everything, which room is, without talks (one goes on vacation not to buy timeshares) everything that includes, all conditions, costs

Beautiful grounds with flowers and preserved jungle plus conservation areas with flamingos and crocodiles. Great service by staff everywhere. Huge expansive pools. Our food had always been great here before, but this time it was a huge disappointment at multiple restaurants all week. The exception was at the pool bar and when using room service which is prepared in a different kitchen. Try the wings, fajitas or salads using room service for the best food on the premises. Air conditioning wasn't great at night. Rooms were damp due to humidity such that my bathing suit or wet clothes didn't dry for several days. When I got home last night I had to wash everything I brought in my suitcase it smelled so funky. Be careful not to be on the beach or other areas alone at night due lurking staff. Lock doors totally so no maid walks in your room at 10 pm when you are sleeping.

Everyone is always polite and extremely helpful. Additionally, there is definitely a security presence everywhere, which is reassuring. I definitely recommend vacationing with Mayan Palace and Vidanta.

Too commercial, the staff is very friendly but the property, for what they charge, which is also very cheap airline type where you arrive is "ah but there is a fee to get there, a parking fee, a bell boy from here to the lobby , another to your room, etc. " the refrigerator makes noise, the sink does not work, the pots are heavy, the curtains have holes, the terrace door does not close (in low plabta), they make loud noises (they drag heavy furniture and they pass clippers) from 7am
Anyway, I try to see the friendly side and enjoy the holidays but DEFINITELY NOT (underlined, with bold and highlighted) would buy a timeshare here and would not return unless it was a super offer.

We had a wonderful spring break at the Mayan. Its been several years since we have been back and it has greatly expanded. When we first joined about 15-20 years ago we were the only ones. Now lots of new and much more fancy places have been added. But we still like our Mayan Palace units. For us its just a place to sleep and eat a meal or two.

The grounds are spectacular.
The pools are humongous and wonderful
The food is very good
The beach area has a lot of untapped potential, i hope in years to come to see more done down there.

Stayed in a mini suite off the main lobby. Had decent amenities and we were able to cook in our room. Bed was comfortable and the room staff was attentive. Had breakfast at Cafe Lago buffet (760 pesos for 2ppl) and other than the bacon being by request only the food was good. Had dinner at Frida's(950 pesos for 2 ppl) and that was a wonderful experience. Only disappointment was that Taco Break was closed for remodeling, so there was no where to go for a quick Taco after 6pm (when Balche closes and becomes Frida's). Drinks were affordable at the pool bar at ~120 pesos for a mixed drink and ~80 pesos for beer. The Jade store had decent prices and has plenty of snacks, food and souvenirs. The beer was better priced at ~30 pesos per can. Liquor was hit and miss. Cigars are available and from what I can tell they were real Cubans. Though like most legit Cubans are over priced at ~500 pesos for a small cohiba. Overall the property was well maintained, affordable, friendly staff (avoid the time share presentation), and decent amenities. Would recommend to my friends.

Huge resort with all the amenities, full range of room sizes and extras. You get what you pay for here, so going here on a budget is possible, just enjoy what you can. Lots of pools, lots of places to eat, nice carneceria, beautiful shopping. Highly recommend, especially if you like walking in the jungle. Transport around is quick in golf carts to shorten point to point.

It is a hotel located in the middle of a natural environment. Surrounded by vegetation and animals such as coaties, squirrels, etc. that travel with total naturalness. The pools are beautiful and the attention of the staff is very warm and friendly. It is a place to rest peacefully and safely. Ideal to share with family.

A beautiful place, the restaurant area is a bit expensive, but everything is just beautiful. Recommended for people who do not want to go out very often to Cancun or Playa del Carmen since it is a bit far, but completely recommended for those who want to spend a delicious vacation in this complex.

Great place but the high pressure sales and "Fees" were a bit much. Rooms at the Mayan Palace were very noisy and you could here adjacent rooms and hall. Newer buildings were over the top awesome. Bigger and better than most houses. Had we stayed in one of those I could have overlooked the sales pitch and given it a 5 star. BTW You can get most of the "fees" back if you attend the sales pitch. (They will only apply towards your expenses spent their such as restaurants, pool drinks, shopping etc)
