A beautiful museum! You enter below as it were on the baseline level. This is a large modern space with the museum shop. Via stairs or elevator you come to the ground floor and on this floor you can immediately see the first artworks spread over the beautiful rooms and halls with beautiful fireplaces and fantastic ceilings. The reception hall is decorated with all gold colored elements and truly breathtaking! The central hall on this floor is also very special. The next floor contains works of art by world-famous Dutch painters and in this year the exhibition of a number of beautiful works by Rembrandt in connection with the fact that it was 350 years ago that he died. Great to see, so brilliant! And of course there is still a row of tourists from all over the country for 'The Girl with the Pearl' by Vermeer! This museum in the Mauritshuis is always worth a visit, but now for sure

After looking forward to visiting Mauritshuis, my son and I left, not long after paying our 15. We were so badly harassed and badgered by a member of staff whilst viewing one of the paintings that we went straight to the woman at the information desk, who declined to be of any assistance. The experience was so embarrassing and negative we left immediately after that. I ve read through other reviews on your fb page/google review, and clearly I am not alone in having had this experience! I strongly suggest you train your staff in being professional and civil as it seems they are gaining a reputation as being downright rude! A thoroughly horrible experience!

The Royal Picture Gallery is housed here. Rijksmuseum with paintings from the Golden Age. Eating and drinking in the Brasserie is a bit of a 'decent' experience. Very handy for appointment in the heart of The Hague, within walking distance of the train station.

The museum where "Girl with pearl earrings" is displayed. The girl with a pearl earring is in the room on the left side, climbing the stairs on the upper floor of the exhibition room. There are many paintings around 1600 and I was surprised that these paintings were written over 400 years ago. There is a table in front of famous paintings. The room where many Rembrandt paintings were displayed was settled down.

The Mauritshuis is a great museum near the Binnenhof in The Hague and what a beautiful exhibition "National Trust". Worth the effort. The employees are also very nice. Easy to reach, parking is possible in the nearby parking garage.

Beautiful museum, nice restaurant / brasserie where you will be served at the table, good food, pricey but you expect that too. Beautiful museum shop with very special things, nice gifts.
I would like to come here again. Very nice day out enjoying beautiful art. Actually seen the girl with the pearl in real life! What I noticed was that the security is very strict, you could not even point in the direction of a painting ...

Awesome multi floor exhibits of beautiful paintings. If modern is your thing, this is not for you. Good mix of painting scenarios from flowers, to landscapes to people. Not top busy but watch out for big tour groups. Multiple ways to move around so you can alter your plan if needed. NOTE entrance is down the stairs to the left of the front entrance... not obvious.

By far my most favorite museum in the Netherlands! I came there for the first time in 1981, for the first and as yet only retrospective about Ruisdael and that has been an overwhelming experience. After that I returned a few times. Also for the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer, of course, and also for all those other beautiful masterpieces that hang there.

A trip to this museum is absolutely worth it. This gallery is not big, but contains the well known paintings 'Girl with the Pearl Earring' by Vermeer, 'The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp' by Rembrandt, and 'The GoldFinch' by Fabritius (my personal favourite). I think the fact this museum is in Den Haag as opposed to Amsterdam means the crowds of tourists aren't as ferocious, which means admiring the works of art is a much more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Walking through the museum is pretty intuitive, with the rooms marked with arrows and the museum map showing you where highlight paintings can be viewed.

As long as you don't stand too close to the paintings (there are metal lines marking standing limits along the ground), museum staff are happy for visitors to take pictures (without flash).

Unfortunately the temporary exhibit was closed when I went, but I think a new exhibition may be opening up soon.

For visitors who may need assistance walking, the museum has lifts and wheelchair availabilities. Tickets can be bought online or at the museum.

Very nice museum, especially the tour was well signposted, you have not as often lost in museums orientation The "girl with the pearl earring:" of course, the highlight - for me anyway. One point deduction for the opening hours - in the season 17.00 clock! and I was disappointed because on the guides only selected pictures were documented in German - the others then English.

A special exhibition is being held for the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt's death.
Don't miss the opportunity to see new works other than those previously seen.
And if you go a little late, you can see the pearl earrings girl alone.

They have that famous picture of the girl with earrings. The works are super famous and there are several paintings that portray Brazil. The place is beautiful TB, I really enjoyed

Loved it. As a fan of the Dutch Golden Age but with only an hour to spare, I found this museum very doable and enjoyable. Sprinted up the stairs to see Girl with Pearl Earring then took my time to see the rest. The Young Bull painting has an incredible texture but you'd never know from pictures. Only negative: although it is OK to take pictures, a docent asked me to stop filming when I was actually only taking a panorama. I guess policies take time to catch up to technology!

I highly recommend you download the Mauritshuis app when you visit this museum because it comes with short audio guides and highlights the most famous paintings. You can also enter this museum with the Dutch Museum Card (if you purchased one). It's definitely a great museum to visit with a lot of great art pieces on display
