Beautiful museum in beautiful building and masterpieces from Dutch art from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Excellent collection of old Dutch masters in a small(ish) museum. Their cafe is also nice to grab a light meal at.

Definitely download the free app, which on the museum wifi works great to guide you around and has very good information, as well as easy to follow tours.

I loved the museum. Everything is very well structured and with that European organization. We went in to see the work of Vermeer the Girl with a pearl earring. A quick but very profitable ticket. The price of admission to museums is not very pleasant, but when we are there to see what we want, it is very worthwhile.

A museum on a quite human scale: it does not overwhelm you with its collections

Then also those nagging ladies from the Postcode lottery at the entrance.
Very bad instruction about the audio tour, it can only be used if you have a modern mobile phone. After a lot of hassle the audio tour finally worked, the headphones didn't work either ... worthless.
I enjoyed the permanent collection, but I'd rather go to the Hermitage 10x!

A beautiful 17th century urban mansion, showing amazing paintings from among others Johannes Vermeer and Rembrandt van Rijn. Situated next to the Dutch Government and Parliament compound. In the heart of the Royal city of The Hague, capital of South-Holland.

The Mauritshuis is an excellent place to see the fantastic collection of paintings by mostly Dutch masters. A visit to the Mauritshuis is a celebration every time. Use the audio tour because a whole new world will open for you. That very small work: 'Bubble-blowing boy', which Caspar Netscher painted, is so beautiful! Look good :-)

Went visit for The Girl With The Pearl Earring. Amazed by great collections. Unconsciously spent more than three hours over there. Highly recommended!

In order to visit the real girl wearing pearl earrings, the collection is very rich and super push!

A little pricey for the size. The evening visit was nice as it was bot crowded.

Very nice museum. We also had a super guide: Margreeth. With so much love and knowledge, she told about the paintings that they started to live for you. For her five stars.

We went from Amsterdam to The Hague by Sprinter train, 1 hour and 10 minutes ride. The museum is very close to Den Haag Centraal station, and there are signs indicating the direction of the museum. It is worth it if you visit The Hague and have time to see the collection. We expressly went to it.

You can download a museum application with reviews of each of the works. For the most important works, an audio guide is offered in Spanish. If you don't download it beforehand at home, as happened to us, there is no problem because the museum has free open WIFI, so we download it right there and at the museum they lend you the headphones (free).

The ticket price for adults (without discounts) is 15.50 euros. It is a high price to pay to have time to admire Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp, to name two of the museum's best-known works.

The toilets are fine. The ones next to the ticket office at the entrance seemed less crowded. If you have a backpack, you must leave it at the locker (free).

One of the nicest museums in the Netherlands. Very beautiful main collection, as well as interesting temporary exhibitions. The home of " the girl with the pearl earring" and many other famous Vermeers

Well worth a visit. Very beautifully displayed paintings. The modern art work on the ceiling, however, is a mockery. It does not fit with the building, the atmosphere or the other artworks.

Vermeer's The Girl With The Pearl Earring
is captivating and on its own is worth the visit. Although there are several other remarkable paintings.

Very nice museum, focus on old masters etc. Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rubens, Hohlbein. You will not be killed. Very friendly staff and attentive. Entry 14 euros. Children up to 18 years free. Combination possible with the Willem Willem V. audio tour costs 3.50 or otherwise the free app from Mauritshuis.

Simply beautiful, better to go as early as possible, then you can calmly walk through all the rooms and look at the works of art in detail. Even the girl with the pearl earrings is not yet rearranged. Absolutely worth seeing.

Wonderful pictures. The apartments are recommended, also for children! Headphones are borrowed on site.

The museum contains quite a few paintings by Rubens, Rembrandt and other Flemish artists. It's compact and looks around for about 2 hours.

You love madly The Girl with a Pearl Earring and I sat down a good quarter of an hour to look at her. Excellent other paintings. The museum is well organized

A very large collection of paintings by fanmeer and Rembrandt. Lots of events and lectures. Spacious and comfortable. There is a cozy cafe.

What a beautiful museum and bigger than I thought! I was there for an hour this afternoon, but I'll be back soon. I was not aware that there were so many famous works on display! One small thing, because the light shines from above on the paintings, often gives the frame a shadow on the upper edge of the work. That is not disturbing with most, but for example with 'the smiling man', which in itself is quite small, I thought it was a shame.

Very busy but every time nice to see. All these were paintings by Rembrandt together also super!

Apart from the girl with the pearl, the collection is not very rich, for a ticket of entry to 15.50 . The lighting of the greatest works is disastrous: one wrings one's neck to avoid reflections.

One of the most famous paintings in the Netherlands is 'Het Puttertje'. This painting is located in a historic location in The Hague in the Mauritshuis.

A must see in the Hague. The main exhibit coul take just a couple hours to visit but it's definitely worth it.

The Vermeer and Rembrandt collections though few are worth the visit..quite a well thought out collection. Display and lighting is superb.

Not only the famous painting is worth seeing, but the whole exhibition and the house itself.

For me the most beautiful museum because here is the most beautiful painting. The girl with the pearl by Johannes Vermeer.
The House itself is also beautiful by the way. Really worth it.
