A wonderful painting museum located in the historic center of The Hague. Relatively small in area, although it is located on several floors, but very soulful. I highly recommend it.
The museum, the surroundings and the architecture of the building are all worthwhile
Nice exhibition with paintings by Rembrand and Jan Steen, among others. Nice decoration of the rooms and a nice restaurant. Shop was at the exit, also very nice to have a look.
Beautiful launch of the song 'Parel' by Spinvis, inspired by Girl with the Pearl. Thank you for this special evening opening, Mauritshuis!
Always special. Both exhibitions, building and catering
Visit of the Museum via app, useful to have headphones with you! The room dedicated to the works being restored and the techniques used is beautiful.
A wonderful museum. Small (you won't get tired of walking), but filled with real masterpieces. Excellent free audio guide on site. The restrictions on the number of the audience are strictly observed, so during rush hours in front of some halls (for example, with the Girl with a Pearl Earring), you will have to wait for 5 minutes.
Mauritshuis Museum. Museum in The Hague, Netherlands. The famous "Girl with a Pearl Earring" is on display.
Admission is about 15 euros.
I went by car, but I went around looking for a parking lot.
In term of the number of paintings, this might be a "small" museum, but every piece is a masterpiece. There are many famous paintings here (like Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson or Vermeer's The Girl with the pearl earring, but my favorite is the wall-sized The Young Bull, by Paulus Potter
A place you don't want to miss while in Den Haag centrum, home of some of Rembrandt's and Vermeer's masterpieces, along with the works of other Dutch artists.
Very beautiful place. Recommended by all means if you go to The Hague. The showroom presentation of the girl with the pearl earrings was not overly beautiful but luxurious. Each room has a high number of high quality staff. And sometimes when I look at the window, I feel like I've got a very special view.
It's a interesting and nice museum!
There are some funny pictures the best I can remember are the 5 party pics I call it. That are 5 pictures from one evening in different stages. First working second working and start party 3 preparing for party 4 party hard 5 going home grapping a woman at the breast and vormitting .... like in our time just painted.
And I like really like the pictures of the habor and bic boats in the third stage!!
Exceptional but expensive like everything around here, it has three works by Veermer, including the girl with the pearl and Rembrandt's famous study of anatomy
Exquisite exhibition of paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, and Dutch Renaissance artists. In addition there is an itinerant exhibition of more than 20 works by Maes -disciple of Rembrandt and Dutch also- brought from several museums in the world. All in a context of a spectacular palace of a military man who ruled the colony of Brazil
A wonderful museum. Many of the works can be enjoyed, but the building is also renewed and beautiful. A girl with pearl earrings from Vermeer is on display. Not to mention works, of course, one of the pleasures of the museum is to enjoy the exhibition methods, buildings, and the scenery you can see from the windows. My recommendation is the entrance and elevator inside the building. Both of them are elaborate elevators, so it's fun to ride and interesting. it's recommended.
To the beautiful exhibition of Nicolaas Maes, pupil of Rembrandt. Was doing well in terms of crowds even though it was the last week. The permanent collection was also visited, but with a museum card you can of course go more often and you don't have to see everything. Staff is very friendly.
Nicely designed museum with a few masterpieces. Very special location. The museum's appearance is stiff and elitist. Not suitable for young children.
Two cons (therefore two stars less):
1. In terms of corona it is not in order. It is very difficult to get in and out of the building, but anything is allowed in the museum itself. Mouth mask off, coughing on the painting (yes really) and more people in the halls than intended ... There is also no course, which results in many crossings and people against the current. In addition, the staff has given up on managing the flow of visitors. They are talking to each other about cows and calves and collecting dust in different corners. The few places with signage, the hall and the shop, are also not that clear. You stand where you are supposed to but the employee asks you to come where you are not allowed ... ok ... I have visited a number (10) of museums with corona measures: it was clearly the least successful here.
2. The staff. In recent times I had very nice and friendly staff in the various museums. This is very disappointing in the Mauritshuis. They all seem to be depressed forced laborers who perceive a visitor as a burden and would not want to be anywhere in the museum. It's hardly a question of getting an answer to your greeting and when you need to do something for reason x or y, they give you orders like they do with the military.
For the first time visited the Mauritshuis. Beautiful paintings seen.
Awesome art galleries from the Dutch Golden Age. It's way better than Van Gogh mussem and not that crowded.
This is the famous bull of Paulus Potter.
Beautiful museum where the horse painter Stuff with the horse Whistle Jack is currently on display.
Highly recommended
Nice museum with, among other things, the anatomical lesson of Rembrandt.
A nice and compact museum, with some very interesting paintings. The renovation looks great. Also nice is their 'side-exhibition' of paintings that didn't make it into the primary display hall.
Tip: Download the official Mauritshuis app on your mobile and enjoy the free audio guide (identical to the one you can rent at the entrance). Take the loaded mobile and helmets.
Fantastic museum full of masterpieces by the Flemish masters.
For the sake of self-portrait of Rembrandt and the Vermeer View on Delft it is worth coming here.
Varied collection. Substantial admission at the price, fortunately free admission with museum card. Use the app on your phone.
Not very big but nice museum in center of the city.
The museum is small but has great paintings. I also would like to say thank you for those who created the mauritshuis application. Its really helpfull if you want to see more
The original of the most beautiful picture in the world can be seen here. Vermeer unfortunately only 2 more pictures. Rembrandt fans are better served here. There is even a Mauritshuis app. Highly recommended.
Marvellous gallery of Rembrandt, Vermeer, Potter, Rubens, Hals, Jan Steen and other champions of the brush.
Magic Museum in the center. We arrived by car, with the navigator, and we parked at 20 meters. The museum is a splendid home with an excellent setting. Alone is worth visiting the city.
Good organization, beautiful masterpieces, including several works by Rubens but the highlight is the girl with the turban also called the girl with a pearl earring.
It is impossible not to visit especially in this period in which it houses the collection of Rembrandt's paintings on the anniversary of his death. Very organized. Presence of free wifi that allows you to download the app and have the audio guide that explains all the works present, really complete! Excellent opportunity to visit for children under the age of 18 ....
If you love art, this is a mandatory stop.
Wherever you turn, there is a famous painting. Highly recommended!
Art Museum, etc. for Dutch masters like Rembrandt and Vermeer and many more. A lot to see and a great collection of well-known works of art and artists.
The most impressive collection of famous dutch paintings. The museum is set in a beautiful dutch classicist style former noble residence, so it is smaller than the typical museum, and perfect for people who don't want to spend their entire afternoon in one.
An excellent museum, in the collections of which are the masterpieces of Rubens, Rembrandt, Vermeer and other masters. Taking pictures is strictly prohibited, including without flash. Entrance ticket 15.50 Euro, or free with Holland Pass coupon
Excellent museum, full of famous exhibits of top artists,must-read for art lovers
Despite Covid restrictions, it was a very nice visit. Hygiene and safety requirements solved very well. We really enjoyed the Mauritshuis.
This is a place you should definitely visit when you come to this place. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy the masterpieces in a calm manner.
Very important to know the exhibition and the house, made while Nassau was in Brazil
Beautiful collection of art works! The Building and its interior are already worth a look inside, and all the Vermeers, Rembrandts, even Judith Leyster - great!
Wonderful museum. Coming early means a quieter visit. Be sure to install the free app that provides extensive information about the artworks.
