Both the building itself and the collection are beautiful. The ten extra masterpieces that are temporarily on display were an extra icing on the cake.
Both the building itself and the collection are beautiful. The ten extra masterpieces that are temporarily on display were an extra icing on the cake.
Numerous collections, showing the best time of 17th -18th Centuries. It s Really stunning to see those paintings in person
I think it's the most beautiful art museum in the world!
Fantastic art in a fantastic building. Houses three Vermeers including Girl with Pearl Earring.
The building is a marvelous combination of old and new. The entry and non-display areas are very modernist while the art is displayed in traditional rooms.
"Small and Fine", a beautiful exhibition of masterpieces by Rembrandt and Vermeer "The View of Delft" and "The Girl with the Pearl Earring".
With the app from the Mauritius house one is very well guided through the rooms and the works of art. An exhibition for which you should reserve some time.
Famous Dutch painters on display. The building also looks very impressive. Well worth a visit.
Very beautifull ! It is not a great museum, but the works are of the highest quality and perfectly exposed.
Girl with the pearl earring is beautiful, amazing museum
Excellent museum with good works from the golden age ...
Excellent collection. Possible to cover in one visit. Best audio guide I've ever seen.
Good Size. Fun, fascinating and beautiful paintings.
Came to The Hague purely to see the Vermeer at the Mauritshuis, and it was completely worth it! It s wonderful to be able to get so close to the paintings and see how his paintings are actually photographs. The museum itself is very pretty with beautiful artworks, and the staff are lovely too.
Beautiful exhibition, beautiful building, very nice attendants.
A must if you are a Rembrandt and Vermeer lover. I liked that they have kept a smaller number of displays. Easily doable with kids or folks not inclined towards museums.
A collection of great art including the girl with pearl earring.
The original works of Vermeer and Rembrandt can be seen. Unfortunately there is no Korean guide.
Extraordinary works of art belonging to this museum, worth visiting ...
It's good to see Vermeer and other works up close and to take photos.
Beautiful, but much of the same. Probably fantastic for real enthusiasts. Not enough for a family with adolescents. Eventually walked around the Hague Municipal Museum for the rest of the day. That suited our family better.
It's also worthwhile during corona times!
The number of people per exhibition space is limited and compliance is ensured.
Wonderful works!
Incredible collection in historic building. It is a pity that screaming school children completely ruin the atmosphere. What do immigrant children know at all about the Dutch Heritage. They run through the galleries like it was an MC Donalds or IKEA. No respect and a lot of screeching
Great museum with lots of Rembrandt and Vermeer, but also others such as Potter, Fabricius, Hals, Steen and Globe
Very beautiful and intimate museum, well worth a visit
It is a worth seeing and impressive building. I would recommend this museum to anyone in The Hague. The highlights were the great Rembrandt paintings and the famous Vermeer painting "The Woman with the Pearl Earring"!
Lovely museum, the tour takes you along all the Dutch masters like Vermeer, Rembrandt, Hobbema and many more. You can see everything in one hour, which makes it just about bearable for teenagers :). A must see if visiting The Hague.
Beautiful paintings and the building itself is also recommended to view, on the top floor you look so in the tower of the Prime Minister.
A must visit museum for art lovers with great works from Dutch painter s
Nicely cared for. The app from the museum adds a lot
Warm staff! Awesome experience! Wi-Fi is super fast, but unfortunately only some apps have Chinese
Small and exquisite art gallery, not bad, it can be finished in about two hours
One of the best museum you should visit if you are traveling to The Hague. It is not too big museum as for example NY museum but its unique with the best collections of golden age of Holland.
Great museum with huge exhibition of dutch paintings. It's not too crowded, so you can enjoy an art in comfortable way.
Such a beautiful museum. Gives a very good picture. Nice that we now also talk about 1 painting at certain times.
Very nice museum with impressive collection of Dutch artists. It is recommended to visit on Thursday's afternoon where the museum is open till 20:00 and is generally less crowded. Also you can save a few Euros for audio guiding device if you, install the phone app (the museum can lend you earphones for the visit).
I must say that I liked the old Mauritshuis better, leaving the paintings and the backgrounds out of it, I have nothing to do with that modern hassle upon entering.
I was very impressed by the Mauritshuis Palace, which is added value through the 800 paintings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, by famous painters: Rembrandt, Rubens, Ian Steen ... Definition of Mauritshuis Palace: elegance, sumptuousness, refinement, distinction, value, art!
Great place with lots of history and beautiful artwork.
Beautiful collection with unexpectedly many great masters: Rembrandt, Steen, Vermeer ....
A beautiful art museum, in a historic building with some very famous paintings by great masters.
Disappointing also because you discover a posteriori that only 10-20% of the works are described in the audio guide in Italian. They should warn that the totality is only in English so that everyone chooses first and equips himself.
This museum contains the paintings of Dutch master painters of Golden Age like Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt, Peter Paul Rubens, Frans Post, Paulus Potter, Jan Seen, and many more. The building itself is historic as it belonged to one Count in 17th century. The seed collections of the museum are from one Dutch king. I paid 15.50 euro for the entry. There is a nice souvenir shop at the ground floor. There was not any waiting time perhaps because I went there n December. The museum has the prized collection of Varmeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring.
Beautiful art to see and not too busy. I had plenty of time to admire everything.
Good wheelchair access lifts etc nice cafe ,not to be missed.
Beautiful museum, you can find beautiful and famous paintings! Magnificent!!!
Clean, orderly visitor traffic but not a hindrance, very nice staff and of course the old masters. Not for very young children.
I have spent a pleasant afternoon among the paintings in this museum. The museum is located in an old house of the Dutch bourgeoisie, a jewel in itself. I advise you to download the museum's App before starting the tour and of course use it.
An excellent portrait gallery, with some of the world's great masterpieces. Not to be missed.
Lovely place. I would recommend it to anyone.
Posto fantastico. Lo raccomanderei a chiunque.
It's the place to go if you want to come to the Hague. You find relatively less people here in this museum even though the exhibitions here are more than impressive. There are really less distractions here and you can spend a great deal of time enjoying and observing masterpieces like The Girl with the Pearl Earrings.
As for the audio receiver of explanation, rental equipment has become mainstream from smartphone apps
Great museum, next to a wide collection of paintings, the museum also has a beautiful building of a former nobleman. There are many paintings, including those of master artists Rembrandt and Vermeer. The Anatomical lesson and the Girl with the Pearl can be found here. Those who want to learn more about the history of the Dutch Republic should certainly visit this museum
Large collection of masterpieces by Rembrandt, some Veermers and others from the Dutch golden age. The girl with the pearl ear is a strong piece. Good reception, the audio guide working. Not to be missed!
Off the beaten track. Not as busy as Paris galleries but still a wonderfull experience to appreciate other painters work.
One of my favourite galleries in the Netherlands, if not the world. As a huge fan of the Dutch Golden Age, this gallery contains some of the most beautiful pieces of art that exist. The crowning jewel, for me, is the Girl with the Pearl Earring by Vermeer, but there is a fantastic range of other pieces from the period, including by Holbein, Rembrandt and Steen. The Mauritshuis itself is a beautiful, nicely sized museum and can easily be done in half a day (or even less for those who want to pop in and view some of the highlights). No trip to The Hague should omit a visit here.
Just seeing a girl with a pearl necklace is worth it.
nice old museum. many famous dutch painters, e.g. Rembrandt. well worth visiting
Beautiful & varied collections in a hushed environment. The app with audio and video backgrounds is an excellent companion to a visit.
Can also be visited in Corona time (online reservation). All Dutch old masters together! Nostalgia for my primary school days: Potter's Bull, The Anatomy Lesson, The Girl with a Pearl Earring.
Great collection in an amazingly beautiful building. Most of the staff was polite and kind but two guards of the Rembrandt exhibit were very rude and made me leave 5 min before the closing time.
Paintings in at least the same quality as the Rijksmuseum but in a compact museum.
