The customer Service was none existent. We did not feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. Instead of trying to take the time to research what we were asking, we were told that he wasn't sure, followed by an outrageous estimate met with a shrug and an attitude. For a 5 star rating we recieved less than one star treatment, disappointing.
Awesome!! The staff & the service was above & beyond my expectations. I am new to the area & the owner took the time to tell me what I needed to do & where I needed to go to obtain my Ohio license & title transfer. He even went on the internet, so I could see where to go. It is nice to experience this type of service in this day & age. I will definitely go back & recommend Masterworks to my family & friends. I for some time now use MasterWorks. They give highly professional, courteous, and personal service.
Unlike many other mechanics I have worked with in the past, I feel like here I am listened to fully. Every comment request and question I ask are addressed thoroughly.
Also, and maybe most important, is that I don't feel like they are trying to rip me off. On a few occasions I felt like certain things needed replacing (brakes, filters, tire rotation ...) And I asked specifically to do it. I was told they will only do it if deemed necessary. They a lot of times did not end up doing this work.
I highly suggest this mechanic.
This place is AWESOME! I called about service one day and they had me in and out the next day! They were very well priced, free 2 yr warranty included, very generous, and very fast. The best part was, all I had to do was drop my key off in a provided envelope and put it in their drop box. Good on safety with Covid. AND. When they were finished with the [free] diagnostic, I received a text/email to a link showing me my entire car inspection with pictures and descriptions included, so I knew exactly what condition my car was in! I would recommend them to anyone!
Masterworks provided us a loaner vehicle free of charge while our car was repaired. Masterworks also communicated an estimate prior to the services completed. They recommended the repairs needed for safe driving and best upkeep for the vehicle.

Four years later, took a 2016 Subaru Forester in for much needed service. I knew I needed a battery. Boruch suggested a safety check. Breaks and tires were needed. Of course, I could have gone elsewhere for another opinion or to compare prices. However, based on previous experiences, I knew there was no question about the honesty of the diagnosis or the fairness of the pricing. While I was waiting for the results of the safety check, I heard Boruch offer advice to callers about what could be wrong with their car with no guarantee that they would bring it to him. You cannot go wrong going to Masterworks.
Masterworks was super helpful! I was in need of a battery replacement and they fit me in the same day. They also had very decent prices. I would definitely recommend their services, they are fast, reliable, and affordable.
I was in Cleveland for Shabbos, and noticed something funny on Friday morning. I only brought it in at around 11:30, and this was Erev Shabbos Chanukah, and one of the shortest Fridays pf the year. Boruch did what it took to get my car fixed before Shabbos, and i was able to hit the road first thing Sunday morning.

Who the heck wants to pay for car repairs, right? As painful as it is to shell out for my cars, I still know with 100% certainty that Boruch is honest and not trying to take me for a ride and that's worth a lot right there.
It was simple, It was quick. It costs a fair amount. They were not willing to put some cheap starter in. He explained why he doesn't go with the really cheap ones and it absolutely makes sense, he wants to be able to guarantee his work.
I needed a major repair in my cooling system, and I called MasterWorks on the recommendation of a friend. Service was fast--they were able to get it diagnosed on the same day and fixed within 24 hours! Communication was also great throughout the process. Also very convenient for CWRU students/staff. I will definitely bring my car back here!

I took my car in early in the morning and everyone was super kind and I was told everything that was wrong with my vehicle along with an estimate for all the parts and labor that would be needed.

I didn't have enough money to have my spark plugs changed and the mechanic still helped me find them and told me how to change them, will definitely go back once my money is right. Very friendly even though they were busy.
I have dealt with Masterworks Automotive for many years. They ALWAYS do first class work. My last service was a 'simple' oil change on a relatively new car. The car was ready when promised. Their price was significantly less than the dealer's price. I just made a copy of their invoice and put it in the glove compartment for proof of service.

Nice and reliable auto service shop. They are quite honest with their service suggestions and explain the needs for service very well. I went for an oil change, and I had anticipated that few months down the line my car would need work on the brakes. Prior service shops had said that I immediately needed not only brakes, but also suspension services and what not. The guy at Automotive was honest and said what I had expected and anticipated and nothing more. I will go back again if required.
They were quick to provide a quote for my tires and braking system. They provided friendly service, gave a reasonable rate, and were able to schedule me for same week service. I recommend them for quality service.
I was looking for a good suspension shop in Cle Hts and luckily found this awesome business! They were extremely easy to get hold of, very quick on both call, email and text. They listened and didn't try to do anything to my car that I didn't want them to do. Very well priced too. I was most impressed with the new look of the shop. Great comfy area with snacks, water, coffee, wifi and CHARGERS for your phones! The owners and employees could not be more friendly and knowledgeable. On my Lyft ride home, the driver even said he wouldn't take his car anywhere else!

I dropped my car off in the morning and then moved on to get my rental car. I had fully expected to pick up my car the next day. But I received a call from Masterworks about 4 p.m. that afternoon telling me my car was ready. They had expedited the repair because they knew I had rented a car!

Update: the review above was 4 years old. Thus, I want to update it and confirm that in all those years (it's been over 10 years that we come to Masterworks) we never had to double-guess a diagnosis on the car or would have had any other issues. Every time the repair or service is done right and no other issues occur. You can trust the owner, Mr. Boruch Taub, and I can say with certainty that the prize is right, too.
I have come from other rip-off places like Midas, NTB Beachwood, where every time I drop off my car for a tire swap (summer-winter) they suggest a replacement of the front axle for ~ $2000. It is so obnoxious because it happens literally every time! Then I turn this repair down and bring it to Masterworks and I get an honest inspection Mr. Taub and his team, which saved me thousands of dollars over the years. He also fixed real issues on my newer Subaru Outback, that my Car Dealer did not find despite their famed 22 point inspection with every visit, I guess that was because my Outback was still under warranty.
Bottomline, I trust and highly respect Mr. Taub and Masterworks more than any other car shop in Cleveland and I do so with >10 years experience.
I am new to Cleveland and was nervous about finding a new mechanic whom I could trust. MasterWorks was recommended to me and I finally went in for the first time last week. It was only a simple oil change, but Baruch was SUPER friendly, taking the time to explain several things to me and looking up information online for further clarification. My car was ready within the anticipated time frame, all fees were discussed with me for approval and very reasonable, it did not have any unpleasant odor (smoke, grease, body, etc.) that can unfortunately sometimes be an issue, I was offered a loaner car if I would need one (I didn't), and I came away with a good feeling knowing that mysterious, unnecessary repair recommendations were NOT going to be part of my relationship with MasterWorks.

We had a long standing issue with the Passlock system on our car, and after getting new keys several times, new ignition, and paying for the Passlock system to be replaced we still had problems. The fine folks at MasterWorks Automotive took a look and discovered that the repairs were done incorrectly and shoddily and successfully repaired the Passlock system. We haven't had any issues since then. I highly recommend MasterWorks automotive, and it's the only place I'll ever take any of my vehicles (even for oil changes).

When I first found this shop I questioned if they really deserved a 5 star rating (I'm a bit of a pessimist). However, I thought I would give them a shot and I am very glad I did. I have an older pickup and needed some transmission and rear end work but before spending a few thousand I wanted to get an idea of what I might be looking at down the road. Boruch and his team took the time to look over my truck and let me know everything they could find that might pose a problem. The team took time to explain what the problems were, common issues with my make/model, and what I could expect out of each service they recommended. I am somewhat handy so there were a few things I thought I could do myself and rather than tell me not to, they advised me of common mistakes that people make and even what brands of parts they have the least issues with. Masterworks has an experienced staff (I think Rick has been working on trucks like mine for 20-30 years) who really know their stuff. Add to that a patient person like Boruch who asks questions and takes the time to make sure his customers fully understand everything and you can see why this shop is a gem. We all know how hard it is to find an honest and genuine shop that charges reasonable prices and does quality work. The good news is that if you're reading this review, you just found the best in town.
I went to Masterworks based on a recommendation and I would highly recommend this place for any automotive work. Excellent service! I had my brakes repaired a few weeks ago after I did a very thorough research into other places. I actually drove to different repair shops to get estimates as well. I finally settled on Masterworks Automotives based on reviews and I was not disappointed! Their customer service is awesome and the repair itself was great. The owner is very honest and breaks down all the costs (and will even tell you if there are other affordable but durable parts that can lower the cost). At the end of the day, their price was actually lower than all the other places. I highly recommend this place!
I was in visiting my old hometown from Boston and needed a quick turnaround on two car repairs plus an oil change. My parents, who still live in the Heights, had been using the same repair guy for decades, as had I whenever I was in town, but he's retired and they told me to call Boruch. Great call! He worked with my tight schedule to find a time to service the car, diagnosed a problem accurately over the phone, proactively ordered a part that might be needed (no cost to me if it wasn't), and then stuck to the schedule beautifully. Everything was pleasant, professional, and incredibly accommodating. There was no upselling, the opposite in fact; he told me what could wait until I was back in Boston and made a minor fix for no additional charge. And he guaranteed his work nationally. So, you don't have to live in the Heights to take advantage of this great shop. And if you don't know the area, there are wonderful local shops to walk to and eat at while your car is being quickly and soundly repaired.

MasterWorks is the only car mechanic I know that I trust without having to shop around. They have years of experience at a low cost. A couple of times they solved my car's issue without charging me. I go here for all my car needs.
My friend recommended this place for me, I sometimes had to have several attempts to start my car. The owner of this auto repair is really nice. They checked my car and changed the battery and one cable, the car seems good till now. The charge was reasonable. Furthermore, the owner provided me an 'old' car for me to drive temperately, which, for me, is very important. Next time if my car have a problem, I will still choose here, but I might make a phone call before I go there to see if the 'old' car is available.
