Spiritually, mentally, & emotionally gratifying. I grew up on those same beliefs taught to me by my mother anyways so it truly reaffirms to me that those same non-violent social belief methods for peace will still work in today's society. Amazing place. I definetly cried. I took lots of photos and learned more history than I thought I knew. Awesome place to visit, and if you attend church on Sundays it's worth a visit to join the church sermon. Beautiful place with beautiful people.

A perfect way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon; the park is open 7 days a week and a must see for all people regardless of age and race to experience. VERY educational. Deep. Soul-stirring; I can't find the words to describe the experience. The museum, tour of MLK's home, and church are free to visit and parking is free. The tour of MLK's home is conducted by a park ranger; all attendants present were very informative. I made my visit on a whim on a last minute trip to Atlanta a little after 2 o'clock; the museum has a wealth of information, so I highly suggest arriving early to give yourself time to read, watch the televised recordings, and have a thorough, enjoying experience. A park is available for children. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as the museum is located downtown and there are other places to walk around and view as well.

I initially visited the Martin Luther King Jr. site in July of 2017 while spending my birthday in Atlanta. I was extremely moved by seeing his life story and seeing the correlation between his life and how his contribution to American history affected the life of former President Jimmy Carter. I have since moved to Georgia in the latter months of 2019 and I went back for the first time in two and a half years yesterday. They went all out for the celebration of his life. There were so many people taking in the sights of this day. I can now visit this all important historical site anytime.

It is not by any account the largest museum /site, but don't be deceived. In addition to the life of MLK, the museum gives good insight into the feelings at the time. It took about 2 hours to go through the museum (could be done quicker). Surrounding sights will take at least another 30 minutes to see. Where MLK grew up, typical house of the time, as well as MLK memorial. These are definitely worth it.
There was a large parking lot across the street. It was free.

Moving, heartfelt experience. No matter your race, ethnicity or religion, you will be moved by this man, his followers and the legacy he left beyond. He truly was doing God's work.

I'm going to college to become a historian and this spot added alot to my knowledge on MLKJ. I've been touring Atlanta for awhile just because I feel it's what I need and it's where my boyfriend lives. I was looking through some places to visit in Atlanta and this stuck out to me. I've told all my friends back in the U.K. and they so badly wish to go.

This is great museum for King's legacy and civil right movement. It is not super dense, but there is tons of information. The videos are all well done to teach you more. Parking is free and so is the museum. Everyone who is in Atlanta should take a trip here at least once to learn more about the civil rights movement.

This was the most humbling experience of my life. Growing up in a small northern town did not prepare me for the emotions I experienced when we visited here. I cannot wait to return and explore it more fully.

You must go to the main Park office the morning of your visit to make reservations. This results in having to spend many hours just to visit his birthplace. They will not let you reserve a space for the next day.

Excellent organized complex! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. A place where it will be interesting for both adults and children. And all this - for FREE.
I applaud standing up for propaganda, marketing and patriotism.

Amazing place to understand the connection between East (India) and West (USA).
Every kid must visit this place to know what this man stood for.
Being an Indian I felt proud to realize that MLK and MK Gandhi were such close friends and comrades in their struggles for social equality and political reforms.
