During the pandemic now, the library only offers curbside pickup. However, when I arrived 3 days ago, there was a sign at the front door asking patrons to go to the "south entrance" to pick up our holds. When I went around the building to arrive at the south entrance, the door was locked so I had to go back to the east entrance (front door) just to find another sign at the employee entrance saying that we need to call the library for someone to get our holds.

As long as you are a resident of Markham City, you can rent books and media after applying for a library card. It is also a good place to read books and newspapers. There are free WiFi networks and computers for writing.

A very large library with tons of selection. From movies, to computers to books they have it all. The staff are always very friendly and know their stuff. The inter-library transfer could be a bit faster but that is just nitpicking as it is all free. I just wish I could read fast enough to keep up with all the books I want.

Went to send a fax only to discover that they no longer have a fax line. Would have been helpful if someone would have picked up the damn phone after dialing for 20 minutes, only to waste gas to find this out, and what makes me even more mad is the fact when i asked about the fax, the employee i spoke with snickered at me

This library, like most other MPL branches, has lots of wonderful stuff for you to discover.

It is virtually impossible to get a spot in the afternoon on weekends; I usually have to go to another library if I want to work. I do like it though, it's cozy and nice.

I think it'd be nice if they reconfigured the table settings so people can share those GIGANTIC tables instead of taking up a whole one for one person. This library doesn't have any single "cubicles".

It looks bright and lots of private study area. Lots of books for kids and lots of toys for kids with different ages. Lots of programs for kids. The staffs are very helpful. Check in and check out books are very high tech.

great variety of books, professional staff, overall very nice and cozy. However, there should be more tables for people to study or even cubicles because the tables there are large and are yet only occupied by one person per table.

Cute little hidden library.

Cute little hidden library.

It's quiet and don't have too many loud people so my husband enjoys coming here to check out books and sometimes read them there.

I called ahead for curb side pickup and the man on the phone tells me to go to the front door to pick up. When I got to the door another woman came out from behind the door and started yelling at me, and without even first checking with me, that I have to call first. I told her I did but she continued to yell at me. Very rude and disrespectful librarian. Before jumping to conclusion she should ask first, and pls, ask politely. We paid for her to have a job.
