Great place to take the children. Cheap, educational and fun for all ages. You can touch stingrays and learn about ocean life. I would recommend everyone go to the marine science center.

Great little stop after visiting the lighthouse or taking the Eco Tour.
Such a great education on wildlife. They let the kids oet the stingrays. They also have a class on the animal. Ours was the owl. They bring in the owl and taught us all about the animal. Definitely worth the trip
This is a small, friendly place where children (and curious adults) can come see and learn about the creatures living in the area. There is an exhibit for touching rays and for viewing small turtles and fish which is a nice cool break on a hot day. Sea Turtles are nursed back to health on site and there is lots of information about their progress. The outdoor area features up close views of interesting local birds. Public events are posted frequently on their associated Facebook page.
Interesting place. Very small but great place to take the kids. Awesome to see the turtle rescues.
Cool little center where we all (kids to adults) could learn about the local sea life with 'hands on' areas. We enjoyed it!
Awesome and very educational experience!!!! Definitely a must see!!!
Awesome place to see and learn about our Sea Turtles and marine life.
Very nice volunteers and workers rehabilitating a varied group of aquatic animals.Great place for kids and groups wanting to learn and play with animals.
Fun place to visit, I love the turtles very informative on what we need to do to help save them!
Exceptional place for kids, families and those young at heart. The organization is a treasure for the local environment and a unique learning opportunity
Interesting, but not much there! Still enjoyed it though!
A wonderful place to learn about the marine life around the area. You can also see how they take care of the animals that come to them injured.
Great price and the few tanks and pools that they have are packed with hidden creatures. Great place for the very little ones because it's not overwhelming and all of the pools and tanks have view windows close to the ground.
They do great work to aid sea turtles and birds recover from injuries. Marine Science Centers goal is to assist wildlife in their recuperation and return to the wild. Great place to sea marine life and learn ecological needs.
Lovely displays of marine life. Helping save the hurt sea turtles is such an amazing task. These people are heroes!
Feeding and petting the stingrays was a huge hit with my kids today!!
Holding different sea urchins was fun too!!
It tickled their palms!!
Visited here while on vacation. Have made this a regular stop when in the port orange/Daytona beach area. It is great to see rarely seen animals that are being rehabilitated for future release. More people should make this a stop!!
Loved it. Pet sting rays and snakes. Kids loved it. Very nice place to visit. Great value.
Definitely a neat place especially for such a low price. Great work they do for animals as well!!
Real fun and educational. They actually care for injured sea turtles there .You can touch some of the sea creatures and the staff is very knowledgeable.
It's is small but pricing is reasonable...my little one loved the fact that he got to touch the sting rays
Wonderful local rehabilitation center for Marine animals. Great for all ages
Every visit is more welcoming. The staff and volunteers use every opportunity to educate everyone young or old about the marine animals. The kids all enjoy the hands on touch tanks and my 8 year old can never have enough time there. He actually thanks Dad and Mom for taking him. I love that!
This is very small but quite informative. Education talks hourly and a large window allows visitors to watch medical personnel patching up injured turtles. Another window allows visitors to watch recuperating turtles. Small gift shop and touch pool also.
Very interesting and the researcher gave lots of information
This place was very enjoyable and grands really liked it
Very nice indoor/outdoor place to see all the marine animals :) perfect location in Ponce Inlet(which is a very nice beach) definitely recommend going here while in Ponce Inlet area!
Nice experience for the children, to learn about the importance of,the preservation of sea life.
Very grt and interesting place people doing a grt job
Awesome center for rehabilitation of marine animals. Sting rays, fish, turtles and birds. So fun!
Great place for kids and adults. Touch stingrays, watch sea turtles and octopuses. Worth every penny for a good break from the the beach.
This is an amazing place. The people have all the right answers. They do wonderful rehabilitation on many sick turtles. Great place for kids.
Nice little place where you can pet stingrays and learn about marine life. Didn't make it out to the bird area, but I'm sure it too is fantastic
We love going here for turtle tots program, education hours etc.
This place was so cool! This is absolutely worth going to if you're into sea life and animals. They have many great displays, they have a ray tank where you can touch the rays which is super cool. The price to get in was reasonable and they have a pretty neat gift shop as well.
We had a fabulous time! Thank you Shell and Chad for a great experience.
Great place to visit. Turtle and bird rehab center. There's even a window where you can watch procedures being done on sea turtles. They have a touch tank where you can pet rays. Very educational for all ages.
It is a small place, they are prednisone to touch some rays but not the turtles. The most non-transferable is when they feed some species
Small (like two rooms), but admission was cheap and it's nice to take young kids to for a couple hours.
The Marine Science center was fun but a short trip. Unfortunately after hurricane Matthew the bird exhibit was mostly shutdown, but we were still able to see a bald eagle and some pelicans. While you are here, strongly recommend stopping at the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station Museum around the corner.
My children loved feeding and petting the rays. They also loved being able to ask the staff questions. Shannon was absolutely wonderful and really took the time to explain things to my children at levels they understand. Then, they got the added joy of seeing the octopus playing! They were so excited to see that as well as being able to hold all the sea urchins and sea cucumbers. They were really excited to see the not very full sea turtle hospital because that means there aren't a lot of sick or injured turtles! We are already planning another visit. This place is wonderful for teaching conservation and care. I highly recommend it!
This was our second time visiting when we were in Florida. This place is awesome. It's affordable, educational, and so much fun.
Stopped by yesterday to bring my wife to see the honus, "turtles". She enjoyed the learning of the rescue center part of the center and seeing first hand how important their work is here. However, they cannot afford to do this on their own behalf. They need the public's help with funding, participation of when you find animals in the wrong place, don't put them back, call but, most of all, education. It is imperative to call the center for help for the benefit of the sick water creature.
The volunteers were very nice and knowledgeable! We learned a lot about the animals in their care during our brief visit. We were allowed to pet sting rays and a pine snake which was a neat experience! The facilities were clean and the gift shop had a good selection.
A must see!!! The kids learned so much and we all have a whole new respect for the ocean and the people who work at the Marine Center. We loved seeing and interacting with the wildlife.
Absolutely Great Experience for All Ages. 11 year old boys said they would return again as educators were great. Through observation window we had the opportunity to view vet treating a turtle that was rescued on Christmas day (Vet comes here weekly)
Excellent place to visit and it is for a good cause
Very nice to walk around.. great for kids big and small!
Several interactive events staff was very helpful and informative
GREAT place for the young and old to learn, awesome place
Beautiful place, beautiful people taking care of our sea friends.
We loved this place! The volunteers are so nice and knowledgeable. The exhibits are great. The bird section was closed sadly due to impending weather. We actually hung out for hours due to the weather and a tornado watch. We really enjoyed this. I highly recommend!
Love the turtles and stingrays. Pretty Awesome fish. And love the birds highly reccomend
LOVED IT THERE!! The presenter who talked to the kids was so friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, you can tell she loves her job and kids. Highly recommend going. My kids were able to touch and feed the sting rays and a 19 ft. Snake skin.we learned about turtles and their safety.
They have snakes there .. I dont like snakes around me
I love what this place represents. The help the injured back to health with all intentions on release back into the wild. Staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about what they are doing.
Very nice people...very knowledgeable and informative
Awesome marine animals and lots of knowledge about the animals. Brought my son who Loves Turtles and he got to see stingrays and many other animals. Great little gift shop admission is Very reasonable.
The lady guide was awesome. She was very knowledgeable and did a great job informing everyone about the stingrays, horseshoe crab and hermit crab. She had the patience of Job with the people, mostly the adults, who did not listen to her instructions for petting the stingrays in the touch pool.
A very pleasant and informative experience. Thank you do much!!!
Great experience for kids and adults. Kids get to feed stingrays and hold turtle. Cheap admission. Educational even for someone with a biology degree. Would definitely go again.
A well-kept public marine rehabilitation center with a terrific outreach program and staff. We visit every year to pet and feed the rays, marvel at the beautiful birds of prey (bald eagles, great horned owls, hawks), and truly feel that these people have the best interest of these injured animals in mind. They give a great view and description of the sea turtle recovery process. Very satisfying place to visit on vacation, with the kids or without!
AWesome place to take kids! Feeding the stingrays was so cool! Looking forward to going back!!!
Cool little science center with some fun hands on stuff.
Thus a must see price cheap the center is clean and they have people in every department that are knowledgeable some hands on great place for the young and old.
Interesting and educational, staff very informative
You can tell that it is something special as soon as you enter. All the employees and volunteers enjoy being there and are very knowledgeable about the operation. All the animals are very well kept.
This was our second visit to the Marine Science Center. The center did not disappoint. Educational, informative and hands-on experiences give each visitor a chance to see just how invaluable the Center is. The sting ray and aquatic reef touch tanks are fun and amusing. Getting to touch a cownose ray, starfish, and other interesting sea life make the guests feel like a marine scientist. After exploring the inside of the museum head outside to the turtle hospital area. Guests can overlook seven turtle hospital pools from the Turtle Terrace. These pools house sick and injured sea turtles, hatchlings, and washbacks under rehabilitation. Majestic turtles are healing and recovering in clean observation pools. Now change it up and go bird watching. This bird rehabilitation facility is fully equipped to care and treat injured and sick birds. Upon full recovery, a healthy bird will be released into its natural habitat. Some birds become ambassadors for their species and are a part of education programs and the guest viewing area of the Marine Science Center. Finally, take a walk on the nature trail to the observation tower. Thanks to facilities like the Marine Science Center our wildlife has a fighting chance.
Wonderful place to visit with kids. We went here in December 2014 and my daughter loved the exibits they had on display. I definitely recommend coming here to see what mother nature has instore.
