Very good value for the price. Enjoyed the touch pools and the educational features, esp the turtle rehab area.

I truly loved this science center.
The staff was really nice. Generous with their time and knowledge.
You get to touch rays and even feed them.
There is a classroom where we experimented with microscopes.
This is a wonderful hidden treasure of the area.
Check out their website to help with donations as they are primarily there to rescue, rehabilitate and release.
And to inspire and educate. Great job Marine Center
Highly recommended !!! Very knowledgeable folks & awesome sea life to see !!! Got the T-shirt !!!
Nice visit for some learning about local wildlife. There is also a turtle hospital. Chances are you'll run into recently rescued turtles You will be able to see what the veterinarians are working on from the main windows inside the center. Very neat! Must visit.
Very friendly staff!! Prices are great for the amount of marine animals you can see!
Small place, but th exhibits are very good. Very educational. Had a pair of bald eagles as well.
Small but a very neat place! Kids really enjoyed it. Thanks for everything you do for injured.
So much fun, and an unexpected find. We were headed to the lighthouse and stumbled on this place, and decided to go in. The kids (3, ,9, 16) all enjoyed petting the stingrays, watching the sea horses play and learning about turtles from the volunteers. Kids were $2, seniors $4 and adults $5. Totally worth the price. The nature walk and look out were also nice.
A little small but we were able to pet stingrays which was pretty cool
Great little stop, seeing everything here was pretty cool
Good prices and section of household good and clothes
Cute spot for an afternoon visit with my little one. There were so many educational opportunities for her to learn about protecting our ocean and marine animals.
This was the second time we have been here in the last few years. Highly recommended. Enjoy seeing the sea turtles and petting the sting rays.
Pretty fun experience with the family. Not overwelming for a day out with the family. I feel like some of the tanks and bird areas could be bigger though.
This was very cool see the baby turtles! Over 100 babies were rescued yesterday!
Took my daughter for spring break and we loved it's. You get to touch the Stingrays
We arrived to find a small note posted on the door saying that none of the sea turtles were on site and that they had been moved to another facility due to renovations. Which is fine, if you tell people on your website since the sea turtles are a major draw and people might not want to come if the reason for visiting is not there. The center is small, it will take less than fifteen minutes to see everything, maybe twenty. You can pet the stingrays and they are very friendly and charismatic.
The gift shop is an utter disappointment. At the very front, there are metal straws to encourage people to recognize how much of a problem plastic is. Yet the gift shop is absolutely filled with plastic junk that best case scenario will end up in a landfill, and worst case scenario will end up in a sea turtle. They should focus on more environmentally friendly items to sell in the gift shop and I will take the Marine Science Center's mission more seriously.
Interactive, and great for kids. Very small though, expect to spend a half hour to an hour seeing everything. Staff was super nice
Very interesting. We were able to see a turtle release. That was very cool!
Educational and nice place to bring children. Friendly staff.
Nice place and the volunteer staff are very knowledgable
.
Our family goes every year while we're on vacation. The kids love being able to see, touch, and learn about marine life. Plus, it's small and doesn't take a full day to see.
Great place to educate kids and adults on local wildlife
Very crowded on a rainy afternoon. Really looking forward to going back when it's less crowded so I can see the animals better.
Lots of fun, however the sting ray pool was under maintenance and was unavailable when we went. At a low price to get in its a great option for a rainy day!.
I really enjoyed our time here. I loved seeing all the aquatic life!! What these people do for the sea turtles is absolutely wonderful!!
Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Feeding time is best!
Small but the kids loved it! Well Worth the cheap admission price
A must see when in town. Employees were very informative & we all learned so much. We all loved touching the sting rays & seeing the other animals they are helping. Perfect place for a rain day.
Great place to learn. Very cool exhibits. They do great work rehabbing injured animals.
I've loved this place and have been visiting since 2003. Had one negative experience a few summers ago when they were rushing to close early and I was in the gift shop buying a tshirt, but I think that was just a volunteer with an attitude. I've came back since and it was fine again the way that I remember it.
If you here with kids...visit...I was expecting little more explanations and excitement around the great work they do with the s, nothing else
It was surprisingly small, but educational and good for kids. It's neat to see who cares for injured turtles.
My daughter loved it. Huge sea turtles. She got to pet a stingray and a lobster. They had birds that were injured including two American eagles that are rehabbed and sent out into the wild.
What a wonderful place to learn about animals, our environment and conservation methods. Plus, they help rescue and rehabilitate animals.
So fun, informative and fascinating. Personal guided tours. Rescued sea turtles, eagles, pelicans, tortoises. Watched a live surgical procedure on a tortoise. Watched the feeding of manta rays and so much more.
Great, knowledgeable staff and wonderful creatures to observe. It was a pleasure volunteering there when I did.
They've treated and released 20,000 turtles already.
I was kinda disappointed, I guess because I thought it was going to be bigger with more things to see. The few exhibits that they did have were nice. Overall it wasn't bad.
Many things to observe and be schooled about. Very close to the lighthouse.
Worth it. The guide was superb, had advance knowledge about all questions and queries asked.
We are on our way back home from Ormond Beach and was told about this place. It was all right. Really couldn't see the sea turtles too much because they were in big tanks down below. I'm glad this place is there to take care of them because I love Turtles. I'm sure our admission goes to take care of the marine life and the birds. The employees were very nice and knowledgeable. The facility was very clean and the critters seem to be well taken care of.
Great time! Beautiful fish, turtles and birds all throughout the area. There's a stingray touch tank, and many aquariums.
Not very big but, they had a lot of interesting stuff and the staff was super friendly. Even got to feed a sting ray and that was the highlight of the trip!
Really great Marine science Center, very inexpensive but well worth going to. Local Sea turtle hospital and bird sanctuary. They love what they do and making a difference. Even a touch tank with rays in it the kids love it everytime.
We had a great visit and learned many new things about various animals found in Florida. The staff was very friendly and helpful and eager to educate everyone around them. I loved the hands on exhibits and look forward to future visits. The turtle hospital was empty and I would have enjoyed seeing a sea turtle and I was happy to see they were ready if needed. Even without a turtle being treated there were many opportunities to learn about them. I appreciate this being available to the community and visitors to better educate and offer opportunity to volunteer.
Our family of 13 had a wonderful time there! The Employees are very friendly and very engaging everyone at each of the stations.
My twin granddaughters had a lot of questions and all of them got answers with the explanation of her answer!
It's one of those places that on the outside you're wondering why and how are all of us going to fit in here and how will my 4 mo old great-grandson handle it.
NO Worries are needed! The Sea Urchins were my great-grandsons favorite station.
My favorite was the Stingrays! There's two of them. One that's a few years old that loved being petted and one that's only 6 months old. Not kin to each other, but the older is teaching the younger one that humans can be trusted in their home!
All of us were enjoying everything and can honestly say that it is a must see!
Very nice facility and friendly staff. Most importantly an organization with a noble purpose.
A very small center doing good work. It is worth the admissions price to support their work and learn about the wildlife rehabilitation. With the touch pond being repaired and not open at the time of my visit, the admission was only $2 - awesome - the regular prices are on their website.
There was a demo telling all about the Cooper's Hawk which was very well done and insightful. Cooper, the hawk, was very cooperative.
My 3 stars is mainly because the center is so small.
Nice place. My family had a good time especially over by the sting ray tank. While we where there they had 3 huge sea turtles. They also had a lot of birds to see as well.
Not a lot to do but you can touch live stingrays, and see turtles being rehabilitated along with a few other aquariums with other species.
Great place for kids and family to learn about wildlife they have a petting zoo
This is a fun place for a quick stop while at the ponce inlet. This place does alot of good for Injured turtles and birds. The educational seminars are a must see
Great place to see nature while on vacation in Daytona. Helping wildlife is always a wonderful thing...
Awesome place! The summer camps are awesome, but a little pricey!
Great stop if you have kids and it's a great experience for them for a inexpensive price! Tucked away from the crowds and tourist. O wouldn't mind stopping here again!
Beautiful & educational. A great place to take children of all ages.
What a lovely and interesting facility. Enthusiasm of volunteers is contagious. 5 star bargain for locals and visitors to the area.
Nice place. Kids loved the touch tank and feeding the rays. Parking is limited.
Small place but wonderful interactions with the residents
Wonderful place to visit! So many neat sea creatures and birds. The staff was really excellent and informative. This place is a bargain and we had so much fun here!
Amazing place, you need to stop and see what there doing for the wildlife.
It was really great, I got to see all kinds of different animals, including an injured turtle, that I was privileged enough to watch be cared for. I have been here once before, and last time I was there they had an octopus tank and many sea turtles in a hospital room. This time however there was no octopus and just one very small turtle (which is good because it means they were released, but not as interesting as seeing many different types and sizes of sea turtles.) I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing animals in rehibilitation. I gave it four stars, because some places were very hot and the octopus/ many of the turtles, were not there. Despite all of this the Marine Science Center is an excellent place to visit.
