A wonderful place to spend a few hours experiencing native wildlife. The volunteers and educational staff are knowledgeable and clearly love to share their enthusiasm with visitors. Make sure you take the time to listen to the talks on the resident birds and reptiles. And stick 2 fingers in the pool to scratch the rays backs, they appear to really like it!

The entire family loves this place. They have rehabilitated more than 20,000sea turtles and 13,000 birds since 2002. Admission price is low: Currently $5 for adults and $3 for kids under 12. The octopus is my favorite animal. Learn something new every visit.

Amazing place to visit, and to support by visiting! Really reasonable prices for a great experience. They rehab injured turtles and birds, very knowledgeable bunch of staff and volunteers. There's a ray tank where you can touch and feed the rays, a moray eel, bird boardwalk, and a classroom lab with rotating hands on presentations. They also have a gift shop with cute souvenirs.

Small, but power packed! You can't beat the price and they help support and rehab the animals there. Was filled with kids from a school when we visited, and my 2 year old still loved it and we will be back!

We stumbled on this place just driving up the coastline from Daytona Beach. The admission price was very reasonable, so we took the kids in. They had a BLAST! They watched a presentation on a raptor, helped unroll an anaconda skin, pet and fed sting rays, learned about sea turtles, and so much more! It's worth a stop in.

A blessed little sanctuary and healing center for injured marine creatures and birds. A great place to visit if you're in the area, especially when they happen to be releasing a rehabilitated turtle.

Absolutely fantastic. So much to learn and currently the rates are $2 because of the touch-pool renovation. Worth every penny. You can also purchase stainless steel straws & the cleaner so you can replace plastic straws when you go out. It's a great place to take the kids and stay out of the heat!

This place is so fun, especially if you have littles! It is not a large place, but just big enough where you can see everything in a decent amount of time.

The octopus feeding was the highlight of the visit. The octopus is fairly new, so definitely worth making a visit to see it.

The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals and ways to help them.

Affordable family outing. They were working on renovations so admittance was only $2/person. Good place to spend a couple hours. Multiple aquarium displays, turtle rescue area, window for viewing turtle medical procedures, wild bird rehab center, education rooms indoors and out, and cute gift shop. Not a very large place but well done. Not like a big zoo or large city aquarium. Still recommend.

Good mission and great bird rescue center...the volunteers can walk you through a bunch of information about the nature around central Florida's coasts. I just wish I could've gotten closer to the sea turtles.

Went on Turtle Day, so admission was free. Nice place to learn about sea creatures. Right next to the lighthouse and right across from the beach, so you can plan multiple activities in the same day.

Very interesting. A talk was given on the Cooper Hawk and the hawk was held by the speaker. Feeding if Ray's was interesting. The turtle and bird rehab was also interesting. They have two bald eagles in rehab. Took lots if pictures while at the center. Good price for just $4 for seniors

The Marine Science Center is an amazing place! They do such heart-felt work as they nurse injured sea turtles back to health. Sometimes, you may be lucky enough to catch a turtle release on the beach. It is fantastic! They also have the BEST summer camp for young children. My 9- and 11- year old have attended for many summers. They learn so much and talk nonstop about what they learned each day until it is time for bed. Ms. Shell, the coordinator and teacher, is simply the best!

Wish i could rate it lower not because of the science center but because these people act like they are trying to save animals but i called them today to report a bird that had fishing wire around its mouth and was struggling and they directed me to animal control !!?? no one likes dealing with animal control...well they showed up ran after the bird for about 5 mins then said well if he can fly he is okay? well i was complaining about the wire being around his mouth not his wing or foot. not to mention the person who answered the phone was awful and did not care at all.

Nice

Staff is very friendly and has a lot of volunteers that are always more than willing to answer questions or find someone who can help you out.

One staff member walked around with my wife and explained almost every animal they had for almost an hour.

They do a lot of work with sea turtles and go into detail about the rehabilitation program.

The staff was really friendly and informative, The big green eel suprised me, I didn't know he was in the tank until he poked his head out and oh man is he huge.. Such a great thing they do taking care of hurt sea turtles and all kinds of birds, healing them for release. Some can't so they keep them in thier care.... I will definitely be bringing my family back..

In past years I would have given this place a 5 star review. But this year they had little to keep my little kids minds occupied. I hope there wasn't a bad event that left most of the tanks looking bare. And it looks like they are helping the sea turtles, because there weren't any there for viewers.

This is a wonderful little, inexpensive museum with a great amount of educational knowledge. We learned a ton about the rescue efforts of the sea turtles and how the Marine center cares for and contributes to the health and we'll being of all Marine life. There are two short trails, one leads to the injured birds and the other leads to a cool observation tower. We were also able to touch the sting ray's and explore different reptiles. Overall, we had a lovely time.

There was something for every age group. The staff was very friendly and interactive when exploring through the live and inanimate exhibits. If I lived close I would get a year membership to come back to explore more. The "rainforest" was my favorite exhibit with butterflies and a nice view of the aquarium below.

Superstar Melissa Ranly and her team get down and dirty to help rescue, rehabilitate, and administer life-saving care to local animals in this undersized facility. It may not be the best place for a photo op for the casual tourist, but if you support compassionate people doing meaningful things with limited resources to better the community and the environment...come check out the Marine Science Center. You will leave with a little extra knowledge and love in your heart.
