We took our 3 great grandchildren there today & they learned alot about how much you all care for so many sea critters. Your work is most greatly appreciated. Also the use of a wheelchair was so helpful for my husband. The volunteer even took him to our car while I had his walker. Thank you all. We'll be back. Andy,Luke,Audrina & the great grandparents the Feeleys
It was our first visit and we enjoyed learning about the stingrays, raptors, turtles, and various birds and fish. It's a great place to take children to learn about wildlife and things we can do to help them.
Very Educational and great rehab for wounded turtles and birds.
This is a GREAT place to visit! Its inexpensive, its educational on all levels, there are seafood restaurants and bars close by to dine after your visit. The light house is also close by and both have a very interesting gift shop. I love these two places.
This place was awesome. They have a turtle rehabilitation center which is awesome to see. They have great display of marine life.
Very cool place and they are doing great things there. There are some neat exhibits like the aquariums and the touch tank. It is sad to see some of the turtles with missing flippers or chunks of shell, but knowing this place can rehabilitate most of them is reassuring. It's very inexpensive to enter and I highly recommend it.
If this was helpful, please give a thumbs up.
Loved learning about the marine life. Prices were very reasonable, for both entry and the gift shop.
This was both fun and educational. I wish I lived closer so I could volunteer here.
Great place for little ones and big ones too! Very educational.
Smaller than we thought, but good for a rainy day away from the beach.
The staff was very knowledgeable and all of the exhibits were fun and interesting.
Smaller than expected, but great for young children.
This place is small but packed full of information, fish, sting Ray's and turtles
Awesome place, small but very personal, we able to feed stingRay and private tour of the place and very informative. I have learn quite a lot
Got to pet live stingrays & view the care of ailing turtles
Very good place to take your grandkids a lot of things to see
Sweet! Seeing cool underwater animals and interacting with them. Great for kids!
We were there this past weekend to see the Science Center and the lighthouse. Sadly the Marine Science Center is closed until further notice. The Lighthouse is open. So call first!
Great people doing great work saving the most loveable animals, reptiles, birds etc! Such great small group educational sessions offered with mascots.
Super fun exhibit, and well worth waiting for a classroom event or bird walk. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Loved petting the sting rays!!
The price to get into the marine science for $5.00 dollars was a great deal and an excellent learning experience about sea animals and birds of prey. I love the fact that they rescue sea turtles and rehibilate them to bring them back to their own natural surroundings.
Fantastic! Had a blast playing with the sting rays!
Great place! Very educational and neat experience getting to touch stingrays.
Nice little local museum would be good for kids. There was an interesting talk about owls the day we went there. Watching turtle rehabilitation was one of the highlights.
Was a great side activity to go do afyer spending time at the beach all day. We only found it becuse one of the janitors at the beach let us know about it. The sea turtles are an amazing animal and it ia really interesting to see how people dedicate themselfs to helping these animals recover. Oh yeah they also have sting rays that you can pet so that a plus.
The science center does a good job rehabilitating and helping marine life (and raptors) but as far as the center itself goes, it needs updated and I was disappointed at the amount of actual education elements present. Just a few tanks or fish and cages with raptors but not enough information is given for guest to learn about these creatures and how to help. Such a shame.
Small, but great! The prices were very reasonable. The volunteers were awesome. They had some really neat, detailed stories to tell about the animals that they had rescued and had worked with. Those details really make these kinds of places even better. The touch tank was cool, but they also had a wide variety of marine life that you don't always see, even in bigger zoo or aquariums. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
What an experience for $5! ($4 for seniors and less for kids.) We were able to feed the sting rays (their stinger was removed and the handler held your hand so you're comfortable). The displays of marine animals were fascinating and included live seahorses. The sea turtle isolation tanks and the bird sanctuary are interesting. I recommend talking to one of the staff or volunteers and asking questions to learn about the rehabilitation efforts and about the animals' biology and sea life. Parking is free. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. Support a good cause.
Great place to learn about marine life. They rehabilitate wild animals and we learned about how human activity hurts these animals. Learned a lot about turtles! Feeding the rays was fun and educational. Worth a visit.
Intimate, small marine center with helpful friendly staff. Loved the stingray exhibit. We loved this excursion.
We absolutely loved this place! Very affordable and great learning experience.
Great for kids and a good cause. Cheap admission. Very knowledgable employees/volunteers
There are turtles in turtle rehab.. birds in bird rehab.
There are fish in tanks and some you can touch!
The birds all look pretty happy. There were two bald eagles there too! Looking badass.
Thoroughly enjoyed coming here. So much to learn and see and it's good to know the resident animals tend to not be permanent ones. And it's good to say hi to these animals. Good for the soul.
Finally decided to take the time to,check out this place last June after many summers in the area. WOW! Well worth the visit. So many things to explore and to enjoy learning about.
Awesome time. Both my kids got to feed Ray's and they loved it. Well worth the small fees to see their smiles. Great quick adventure.
What a gem! Happened by this place and it's a great experiential learning center. There is a modest admission charge. $5 for adults, less for seniors and children. Nice stingray touch tank, several aquariums including octopus and seahorse tanks. Turtles turtles turtles! This is a great turtle hospital and they do remarkable work saving the sick and injured. Knowledgeable staff. Great educational features.
Nice little place. Very friendly staff and a cool touch pool.
Small rescue center. Loved petting the stingrays and seeing the birds
A great way to spend an afternoon. The people that work there are great roll models for the youths that come through.
Though the turtles have been farmed out during storm repair efforts....
Very good experience for the price. Learn about wild life rehabilitation and let the kids pet and feed cow nose rays. Watch over the sea turtles in the ICU. Learn what cause most illnesses in sea turtles.
Very interesting, different variety of bird and sea life. Personnel is available for any explanation needed about the animals.
Relaxing. Staff has a love for teaching and conservation.
Nice people helping animals that have been injured by man kind. Great little place to bring the kids. Well worth the $5. We visit every time we r down. Just helping support the cause. Don't forget to Visit the bird rescue nextdoor.
I love that they are educating people on what to do if you find a baby sea turtle..and their dedication to sea life.
This place is highly educational for young minds and travelers alike. It's really beneficial and relaxing to take a day trip out to see, and take pictures. They love children.
Interesting but too small. They are remodeling process
Fun and inexpensive, and a great location to spend a day seeing the sights.
A place that helps injured sea creatures...why wouldn't you like it?!
Great inexpensive place to take the family and learn a little bit about some local wildlife. The animals there are mainly those that cannot be released in the wild. They usually have a presentation of one of the animals in the classroom. One of the times we were there they highlighted and owl and this last time we were there they highlighted the six foot long snake. There's a stingray touch tank for the kids and adults, they also have some tanks there for viewing. They also rehabilitate Tate Turtles and there are a few birds in the sanctuary. It's a great place to visit to use in conjunction with going to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, there are some nice lunch places nearby, a small ice cream shop, and the beach is only blocks away.
Such a fun place. We brought two toddlers and they loved it as much as us adults did! The touch pool was great!
The Science Center is small though it is packed full of sea life and other exhibits. There is also a few venues that display bird life and feeding times. There is also a bird exhibit with eagles, hawks, owls, pelicans etc..
Really great for little children. Staff are very polite.
This place is amazing and I highly recommend it for anyone!!
Important center for Marine animal study. Interesting displays.
A great place for kids to learn and explore the Florida marine life
If I could give more than 4 stars I would. But the planetarium here stole them all so I'm left with these. The nightlife was too cool-whiskey cocktails, rainforests and simulated earthquakes on a weeknight? Yes, please.
What a great place.....hands on exhibits and knowledgeable staff....a good way to spend the day.
We thoroughly enjoyed this little trip. Not too big, lots to see. Very reasonably $$$. The touch pool was under reconstruction so they cut the very reasonable admission price to 2$. The Turtle Hospital was very interesting. We learned where each patient was found, the problem, & expected outcome. I'd definitely recommend the Marine Science Center for everyone.
Love this place and learn so much every time I visit.
More than disappointed with my first and only experience at this center. Staff member was very rude to my family and kids so I had to speak with the supervisor there who was very nice and told me she would confront him about the altercation. Both supervisors were very nice and attentive but due to the rude behavior of the staff member I will never visit again nor will I refer people to go there.
