Excellent hotel to stay near Surfer paradise area. Facilities are nice. But daily need to call front desk to provide tea, coffee and sugar bags. Other than this, every thing is well and good in Mantra on view hotel.

What a waste of money. Air con doesn't work properly. Hotel cant supply a fan . And its bloody stinking hot . I paid good money to sleep in a nice cold room.Charges for parking. And where you park your car is unsafe and smells like piss . Lady at front counter was very rude . Not happy with this place would not recommend. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The service was fantastic, the food was great and the rooms were big. Pool gym and other facilities were appropriate for what I wanted to do. The location was great for anyone who wants to be close to the beach. I will be staying there again.

Lovely clean room beautiful views. Only complaint is the breakfast was very poor. Good variety but everything was cold the eggs, sausages etc even the coffee. Would not eat there again or recommend it to anyone

Not sure the Mantra on View should be rated any higher than a 4 star. It certainly doesn't hit the 4 1/2 star rating it advertises. There are a lot of hidden extra costs. They charge $5 extra if you want an omelette for breakfast & some of the food not up to a standard that we would expect from a 4 1/2 star breakfast. For example no mushrooms at breakfast. Asked for late check out and could only get 30 mins extra for late check out, otherwise a fee of $10 per hour for extra time woild be charged. Parking is also charged on top of your stay at $8 per day. If we wanted internet, that was $15/GB/day. However beach and up the coast views were good from the top floors. The king size room was comfortable.

The place you stay at when you can't afford the nicer hotel your friends are staying at - for example, the laminated chipboard mini-bar cupboard was swollen at the base from water damage. Nice pool and other facilities.

The room itself was fine and most of the staff were helpful.. but didn't appreciate being abused by a permanent live in client.. we were watching TV and she bashed my door screaming and swearing saying it was to loud. I tried to apologize but she didn't care.. then we were threatened to be kick out for noise complaint... her swearing spitting abuse definitely was the issue... I will not be returning. There was me and one other person watching TV... permanent guest shouldn't be put on the same level as one off guest..

Worst experience we have had yet to date when booking a hotel. We booked a double room online through Agoda at an advertised 75% off which means to regular rate would have been $516 per night. We booked a room for 5 nights. Our room was worth around $60 a night. Stained carpets, dodgy linen, broken cupboards and zero care from hotel staff. We would never recommend this hotel regardless of what you pay or the price it was 100% without fail the worst booking I have ever made a nd I have made 1000's. They didn't even bother to resolve our issues and left us stranded. Too much detail to put in this tiny review but don't stay with the Mantra or pay through Agoda ever without first inspecting your room.

Room did have a view, but the room was also quite run down in appearance and condition. The rooms need a major makeover. First time for years I have been CHARGED for WIFI and it was not cheap. The restaurant meals were expensive and of poor-average quality and if you use your credit cards they add a surcharge!. Not proper treatment in comparison to others.

There is no snack options for breakfast. Parking is $25 for the day but there is no lift so if have issues with a huge amount of stairs don't do it. Didn't find staff to be overly friendly

Great location, comfy and roomy accommodations. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool is big and nice with wading areas, shade and plenty of seating. Looks like they're getting ready to do some updating on the tennis court side but no construction went on while we were there. Walking distance to Beach, and abundant shopping and restaurants.

Easy online booking. Perfect location, just next to Surfers Paradise. We got late check out, complimentary drinks, chocolate, bottled water. The buffet breakfast was nice with great range of food. Cheap parking right next door. The room was clean with a great view of the city and part of the sea. Overall, very nice experience.

Rooms excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Just the carpark sucks as it doesn't have a elevator to the bottom - so makes a bit of a pain with people dragging luggage up and down the stairs. Central location and was value for money.

Booked for 6 days only stayed 5 room was only cleaned twice in 5 days pillows were awful. My car was run into in their carpark, I rang them when i got home they said they would look at video footage and call me in a couple of days I'm still waiting for a call 2 weeks later. I would never stay here again.

Best hotel I've stayed at in awhile. Small room, but compact. Didn't have a microwave or stove which was a pain but the view , service & rooms themselves made up for this. Would recommend for a small get away. Parking was also cheap which made it a pleasant experience overall.

Close to the beach. GoldCost is a gorgeous place. The hotel is so-so. Near the seafront is an excellent cafe, probably the best place with local cuisine. The resort town but kills that after 21:00 almost all taverns are closed and there is nowhere to go. It seems like there is a night club, but after 24:00 you will be transferred to the hotel on foot. Even a taxi catch a problem. There is an Irish pub that works after 9th, but given the city s spreads, it s a problem to find. In short, Australia like Egypt, nature is gorgeous, 100 exotic, but there are nuances

Good:

Good:

- The view from the balcony. It is probably just as good as from any of the other towers.

- the location is good in relation to restaurants, nightlife and so on.

Bad:

- A very noisy place. You can hear street traffic from the 19th (!) floor and everything going on in the walkway, the cleaning, etc. the building has not been constructed with proper sound proofing.

- they charge for everything (!) the parking, the WiFi, etc. It is a very difficult place to feel at home because no matter what you ask for, you fell like getting ripped off.

- the reception staff. The ones we met were quite junior and could not answer any of our questions except the ones pertaining to check-in and check-out.

- you cannot turn off the A/C in the bathroom effectively cooling the rest of the room.

- the industrial feel of the building. It is not a cozy place to stay.

Looks tired & definitely needs a makeover.

Looks tired & definitely needs a makeover.
Especially the lift that takes you to the carpark (worst lift I have stepped foot in, like a dungeon).
It only got 2 stars because of the breakfast & the housekeeping, bar & kitchen/dining staff.
Had an incident where I had money removed from my travel wallet which I had left in the room safe. Sad thing about it is this hotel has lost a customer for life as I would not stay here & would not recommend it to any family or friends.
I have stayed at other Mantra hotels before & have thoroughly enjoyed them, but this is an exception. Do not stay here!

Parking is cheaper than most, rooms are ok. The lifts are cancerous and likely to make you wonder what the barrel of a gun tastes like.

The Zimbabwe government is more effective than their lifts.

DO NOT stay at this hotel if you require car parking. The hotel advertises that parking is available then directs you to an independent carpark at the same complex for which they take no responsibility. To exit the carpark, at best you must walk through an abandoned and vandolised building; or if you mistakenly use the fire exit as I did, you will find yourself locked in a staircase used by homeless drug addicts with a floor covered in dirty needles, empty balloons, glass pipes, urine and personal belongings. There is no way out except to walk down through the mess 3 storys to the street level. A truly terrifying experience and an exceptional lack of care on the hotel's behalf.
