Was only here for a conference. Well preserved for an older property. Nice views of the water and downtown Miami depending on which side of the hotel your room is on. Located on a small island with few amenities but within walking distance across the bridge from plenty of downtown Miami restaurants and shopping. Not a bad place to stay if you have to be in downtown Miami.

The lobby lounge is my go to place to show friends or family from out of town. The view is unbelievable, it's breathtaking! You oversee all of the water front and magnificent greenery and docked boats and yachts. Usually there are leaping dolphins, which is a bonus. The drinks are excellent. We asked for extra spicy bloody Mary's and we received exactly what we wanted. I ordered their California roll my friend ordered their club sandwich, we were both loving it! Definitely must check this place out in Brickell.

my friend and i thank the entire staff and the management for their personalized welcome and the feeling of being at home.
Meeting French-speaking staff was a great surprise, adding to an already indisputable stay.

From the moment we checked in the staff was friendly, courteous and engaging. The hotel was quiet and the rooms perfect. We stayed on property for our entire visit utilizing the pool, bar, and premier restaurants. The food was exquisite and the wait staff engaging and on point. The entire hotel was clean. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

5 star Location, but 3 star service, and make sure you get a room near the elevator, because it was a hike to our room. Skipton is a great brand, I would stay there again because of the amazing location! Has nautical themed decor, I am not the craziest fan of themed decor...

The MO Miami is my true favorite hotel. Amazing staff that are always accomodating. Relaxing and attractive interior with complementary grounds. Restaurants are world class. Always have a "zen" experience in the spa with knowledgeable and competent therapists who trult want to mske your experience perfect. I recommend the Thai massage btw. Pool is "just right". Only challenge is getting to and from during high traffic times but other side of the same coin are positives such as proximity to downtown and the amazing city center (walking distance). I also love the MO Las Vegas but Miami beats it slightly based on its views and variety of activities in the city. Highly recommended!

Be prepared to have your credit line increased - very expensive. We tried it for happy hour at MOs, $12 valet parking and $5 bar bites are really small. View is great, but it comes at a cost

I have been here 3 times for the past few months and this is the closest to perfection hotel I have stayed in. The spa is fantastic, I enjoyed a lovely full body massage; I also tried the room service which was excellent and so were the restaurants. The staff was polite and helpful and behaved very professionally. I will be back

I m not sure how the Mandarin received such high ratings.... it is nothing like other 5 star hotels. The rooms are nice and the food is good. The location is amazing! BUT with all that being said service is everything. And the service has been beyond horrible. 2nd day I received a massage. 80 minutes, she cut it short forgot to massage 1 arm and did my feet for 20 minutes or more. I was there to relax so I was not in the mood to confront the masseuse. Then go to the pool, waited for over an hour for my food. Finally cancelled the order. Went to the restroom and it was disgusting, NO toilet paper and paper all over the floor. The next day we decided to give it another try. Same service... this time we waited for our food. Over an hour. We have stayed in the Mandarin in NYC it was exactly what you would expect. This was so disappointing!

Look it's a beautiful place but given the cost I'm disappointed. My wife and I stayed here the weekend of our wedding and loved the room and the views. We didn't love having to convince the staff to let us have a few extra chairs so our wedding party could get ready in our suite, or that they charged us for the breakfast that was ostensibly part of the price for the room. We also ordered room service, which was inedible due to being incredibly salty. We called to let them know, and rather than replace the meal they simply informed us that they would tell the chef. We rented two rooms and had a ton of guests frequenting the bar and restaurant over the weekend. Given that, I don't think accomodating our minor requests was too much to ask. Like I said, beautiful place, but don't expect too much courtesy from the management.

The place is stunning, and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. It's pretty pricey, but you get more than what you pay for in my opinion. The room was spacious and very well appointed. I will definitely return.

Seeking event or wedding space? I've conducted an annual seminar for groups of 150-200 at the Mandarin 3 times over the last 6 years. The YellowTelescope Trainings seminar has always been a great success and well reviewed. Specifically, their food and beverage program trumps any hotel in Miami or Miami Beach - their existing head chef works with us to customize every menu. Rooms are lovely and well appointed, an A-, in need of a bit of a niptuck, but great overall. Pool area is beautiful, all rooms have balconies and a great view. The "beach" is acceptable and our guests are near downtown, Brickell City Center and more. The staff truly cares and brings their A-game to our group who expect absolute perfection throughout as our clientele spend good money to attend our courses. The main ballroom is beautiful with 2 large screens. The Oriental Penthouse is a perfect venue to host clientele or loved ones after the event concludes. La Mar is superb for those adventurous eaters seeking great Peruvian. Great experience and thank you to the Mandarin!

Stayed here a couple days for my wedding. The entire staff was more than accommodating. Definitely would recommend staying here if you have a special even going on. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. I have a bad back so the bed was definitely a plus.

The Mandarin Oriental in Miami is the best hotel I've ever been to! The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are amazing and spacious. The location is great although a little bit far from the downtown (10 min. by foot or 2 min. by car). The view is simply breathtaking, especially from the pool.
The restaurants and bar are wonderful with great variety.
Overall the experience was amazing.

Very disappointing ... the terrace of the brewery (which was reported as optional ??? offering a panoramic nightlife miami) n being not functional that night because of rain ... we learned that we We had only indoor tables .... the nightmare began ... no possibility not only to hear but also to talk so much the hubbub was invited in the room .. a real chicken coop .... we did not take that a dish ... for my part a salmon with black rice so spicy..in his sauce that it was inedible ...! And left unhappy at the edge of auditory trauma ... place to see to believe it ... drink a glass with earplugs and go your way in rainy weather..but do not forget to take the picture!

The hotel is very good located in Miami downtown. The restaurant staff at the La Mar is very qualified and professional. The food is delicious and fresh. I would really recommend this place for stay and eat when in Miami.

Had really high expectations of the Mandarin Oriental only to come away disappointed - carpets in the room were faded and worn down. The rod that holds up the handheld shower literally fell off the wall in the shower. We left after one night - honestly at this caliber of hotel we expected more.

I was under the impression that the hotel had been renovated, but that cannot be the case, as most surfaces and furnishings are scratched, nicked, and beaten. The bed and pillows are of the lumpiest, lowest quality I have suffered in any hotel in a long time, including much more simple places. Doors to other rooms slam and the whole floor shakes, housekeeping staff shouts up and down the hallway, while their carts linger much of the day outside the rooms. Staff at the restaurant is equally as unimpressive, at least at breakfast. The check in was not easy. What remains is a great location and wonderful views (and, if/when renovated, sizable rooms). The Mandarin Miami suffers by comparison to other hotels in its category, even in notoriously low-service Miami. For instance, the Setai is incomparably better in every way and, for roughly the same cost, a preferred option unless you absolutely need to be in Brickell.
