I attending an event in the ballrooms. It was easy to locate the event. I live in the San Diego area and took the Trolley to the hotel. There is a Trolley station convenient located right across the street. This way we did have to deal with traffic it parking. After the event, my husband meet me at the hotel and we walked to a nearby restaurant. It is a great location for personal and professional events.

Location is super convenient to walk to the Gaslamp district, convention center, and Petco Park. Quick drive to beaches and airport. The room is clean with a beautiful view. Nice bar on top floor. Comfortable bed. A bit outside of my normal price range but I was attending for a conference.

An excellent hotel located on the bay overlooking Coronado Island. The level of service at the height, amazing breakfasts. Near the hotel is a wonderful area for walks and entertainment - Seaport Village with a bunch of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. Nearby is the Headquarters - a former police station with a prison, in which, after closing, a classy entertainment center was organized.

Nice BIG hotel with the modern comforts necessary while traveling. I especially appreciate having a mini fridge in the room that's not stocked with rip-off priced beverages. Parking is so beyond ridiculously priced at $40/day valet or $35/day self park. These hotels need to stop gauging people who bring a vehicle

Oppulent hotel that almost feels like Vegas. I miss the historical photos they used to have in the lobby, please bring those back even if someone thought they were not PC. We should honor accomplishment, and Hyatt family shows it. I recall seeing good old photos of Midwest hotel were it all began up to Hyatt family hosting dignitaries and heads of State from functions in 90s. I went to show family and this photo history is no longer there, but plaques of construction in 2003 are there. Go to lounge at "top of Hyatt." Good place to take clients and that date you want to impress. Go on weekdays to avoid huge crowd.

Great location. Reasonable prices. The rooms on high floors with harbor views have spectacular sunset views of the marina and bay. A bit of a walk [approx 15 minutes] to the San Diego Convention Center and the Gaslamp Quarter. Note that there is a $35+tax destination fee levied per night.

Nice rooms, lots of stuff to do. Had 3 slight issues but they where resolved promptly. Food available on lower levels, and pools on 3rd and 4th floors. Spas fit about 5 to 6 people, so get there early if you want a group to be together. All in all good stay I just wish there wasn't construction upon arrival it's all fixed now architecture is absolutely outstanding. Could explore around the hotel for days!!! ITS HUGE!

The staffs are really exceptional with their service, and the room is really comfortable. I could not ask for more from these guys because I was greatly satisfied with the foods, facilities, services, and any other things that they are offering. I will definitely leave them a good review! Very worth it!

Great location next to Seaport Village, near trolley station to San Ysidro for Tiajuana visits and short walk to Convention Center.

Less than a mile walk to USN Aircraft Carrier 51, Star of India sailing ship and nautical museum.

Stop and visit San Diego Visitors Information Center for helpful tips and SD souvenirs.

This hotel is grossly overrated. It smells like a bad motel from 1995. Service is bad. There are many much better options than this. I so regret staying here and can't wait to enjoy San Diego again from a better place.

Quite pretty, feels like you're in Las Vegas. The building is quite large. I did not think the rooms were that nice it was also very humid in the room even with the air on. Guest Services was very nice however our room was not cleaned very well and the trash was not taken out.

Outstanding attention to detail. Suite was spacious and we'll laid out. The views of San Diego harbor and Coranado Island are breathtaking.
Spectacular views and perfect location don't mean anything without a good night's sleep.
This hotel does not disappoint. It is a rare pleasure for a hotel to fire on all cylinders.
Kudos to management and an incredible well trained and polished staff..

The hotel has very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Comfortable bed and good pillows (not those flat down ones all the other hotels have). We had a beautiful view and a good air conditioner. I highly recommend the Grand. Lots of restaurant and bars to choice from within the hotel and easy walking distances from the Gaslight District.

I expect more from the Grand Hyatt. Walls are thin, even for the suites. Service is horrible - had to ask them to deal with a flickering lightbulb 5 separate times and ultimately took it out ourselves; had to ask them explicitly to vacuum after noticing it was not part of their housekeeping norm even though we were there for a week; left a message with the spa that was not returned; and overall attitude of housekeeping and staff left much to be desired.

Attended the Sharpe Hospital Victories of Spirit Celebration, honoring 4 recipients overcoming medical adversity and as a revelation from their own adversities, choosing to give back as voluteers to the Sharpe Community of those in medical need. Excellent venue, compelling video presentation and exceptionally beautiful centerpiece floral arrangements by La Mesa Floral Design Shoppe.

I can't wait to stay here again! The quality of service they provided was perfect. Highly recommended for both meetings and friends as well for having an excellent atmosphere. I was not mistaken about choosing this hotel for my stay here. I got a great time from the first night to the last day of my stay here. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure!

Looks are a bit deceiving. Not "bad" by any means, but for a higher end hotel everything seems very average. Beds, pillows, room size all very average. Some cons being: shower temperature was inconsistent, ranging from very hot to very cold without moving the handle; not very noise resistant from the 8th floor, I could clearly hear traffic and trolls, and seals barking; the "market" feels very over priced, basically mini-bar prices. $36 for a six pack of beer seems excessive. Location is good. View is okay. Staff was friendly.
