The Grand Hotel is huge, you need to get lost. The rooms are different for the view, it depends on which side you are. There are a couple of pools, a gym and a view from the crazy 40th floor bar

Attended a conference here, and it was super nice. The hotel itself is beautiful and the amenities were great. Across the street and nearby are lots of dining options. 24 hour market in the lobby that charges what to you would expect in a hotel, but it's large and has more that pop-tarts and gatorade. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

unclean and with so very many options nearby, I have spent far too much time in this hotel, and looking at pictures of Papa Doug Manchester in the lobby bar to revisit this overpriced place, ever again, and I was feeling slighted and ignored there by the staff, I lived across the street and have stayed there many times in the past, but never again. Not a great value with all the other options- trust me.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful as always. A little hint: it's not difficult to identify on Hotwire's secret deals (where the hotel isn't revealed, only star rating, amenities, and price). For the rate you pay, it's an incredible hotel with tons to do both on the property and in the surrounding area. An absolute MUST is Lion's Share, which is essential across the street - certainly walking distance. The hotel has a wonderful pool area, multiple tennis courts, basketball, and even outdoor ping pong and Foosball. The rooms are very quiet at night, which is tough to find in a hotel any close to the Gaslamp. The rooms are very specious, include a refrigerator and and coffee machine, and large modern flatscreen. The linens and pillows are luxurious, clean, and comfy. Robes are not in the room by default, but they'll bring them up at your request and no additional cost (in addition to ironing board, iron, wine opener, slippers, and lots more). The service is wonderful and the location is perfect. Proximity to the Coaster and the trolley are excellent. Highly recommend!

Was here for the Rooftop Cinema, so I can't comment on the rooms. The Rooftop Cinema, though, happens on the fourth floor, which doesn't sound like much, but it actually offers stunning views of the city. They have a set up with a bunch of cloth lawn chairs on carpet and ample concessions (food, popcorn, and drinks, including alcohol). They also offer blankets for when it starts getting chilly. The chairs could maybe have been a little more plush, but honestly that's the only nitpick I have. I look forward to going again!

Checked in and room wasn't ready. Then we went in and bed was done but still dirty. The front desk did give us some credit to use but I was planning on going back in a couple of weeks but will definitely use a different hotel.

Great location for walking around the city. Close to the Seaport village and walking distance to the Gas Lamp district and other attractions.
The lobby is pretty cool and has a classic look
The check-in process was easy and efficient. There was an up sell for a room with a different/better view ($20 more) and we didn't opt for it.
The room had a decent view of the harbor. The bed was comfortable (king size) and the furniture was comfortable as well.
The TV had a great selection of channels and options, the room had a safe, and the wifi was reliable.
Housekeeping came later in the day usually and didn't disrupt our morning.
Parking is premium and I believe $35 a night. We took uber and it's easy to get a taxi from the hotel as well.
The store in the hotel is premium (convenience) priced. There are super markets and lots of restaurants probably within a 15 minute or so walk.
Overall great experience.

The people: Excellent staff... the most hospitable.
The place: Very clean... well maintained.
The facilities: enjoyed the pool and gym... well equipped.
The views: one of the best facing the bays... loved the pleasant evenings... there's even a viewing deck on the 40th floor of the south tower.
The amenities: didn't get to use the refrigerator as it was too small for my take-out box and the drink! The bed is the worst... very uncomfortable... became too hot at night and made me sweat every night... restless night. (This is what I took off the 1 star for!).

By far one of the nicest hotels near the convention center. Two great pools both with hot tubs! Wonderful views. And close to the action. Room was very clean and updated. Can't wait to stay here again.

this dramatic two-towered establishment is actually quite big for san diego, but overall it's both comfortable and convenient. some of the rooms are rather small but everything else is on the grand scale, and the restaurants are quite attractive. there are lots of adequate rooms for meetings, and lots of facilities for the leisure traveler as well.

Went there for seafood dinner. Cost quite a bit, but really good. Wait staff - some excelled, some did not. I'll give it a 4 star as the bus and kitchen people were on it. Waiter seemed to be somewhere else. Very attentive with the heaters, were made to feel comfortable.

Came here for a conference, but unfortunately didn't get the chance to stay here (would have loved to though!). Within walking distance from Seaport village and the USS Midway, and the hotel itself is gorgeous.

Pretty awesome service! Jonathan at the front desk check in I believe helped my friend and I during comic con, we were able to check in and out easily and he was extremely helpful to us! Rooms were clean, and room service/cleaning staff was so helpful and courteous during our stay. The pool is nice, they also have a turf area that have outdoor activities for the kids or adults, like giant jenga, connect four, ping-pong, etc.
The exercise building is amazing! They had modern equipment, free weights, kettle bells, cold refrigerated towels for use and dry. In addition, they even had disposable headphones for one to use!! It was really nice lol

Very nice hotel. We were only there for one night, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Stayed in a corner room on the 21st floor of the Seaview tower. Views of the city and the bay were spectacular. I would highly recommend this place, if it's in your budget.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We did not accept anything more than the least expensive room, with a so so view. But after check in we were blown away. Best stay ever!! We have never had so much fun.

This hotel was very good and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Hyatt B ranches. The one thing about every hotel is the prices are outrageous. Also there was no Hotel Restraunant but that was fine because there were many dining options
