Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant Review

Bar, sushi, great food and a live band... what more could you ask for? Oh and don't forget about Sunday brunch!

The bartenders here, especially Darius, are great. When we were sitting on the outside deck, the bartenders moved the umbrella to exactly where we wanted it, without us even asking. The burgers are pretty good, and they deliver the food pretty quickly. Don't get a steak here, they really don't know how to cook them. The rest of the food is pretty good. They have good draft beer (brewed on dite), which is rotated on the menu regularly.

French fries are great. Dining on the deck is sweet.

Great staff, friendly and quick on assisting to get you set up properly.

The sushi was delicious and so fresh.
Also, the steak house salad wa awesome.

Bro, I met the owner when I first moved to Ohilly and he s an awesome guy. However! I tried booking my rehearsal dinner there and paying boku bucks. They sucked and I dropped them.

Then, I give them another chance and take all my coworkers there for a celebration.

Guys, full out latex glove in our nachos. Cooked nasty latest glove in the food we are all eating. Waitress, manager, no one even compensates us a free round of drinks let alone our whole meal. They re nice enough to take off the latex ridden nachos.

This place is bunk, shut it down.

we are retailer for this co. we called times about pumpkin beer explodes from cans like fire crackers ,and no one ever call us back.

Great atmosphere, love the cocktails. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Best fried pickles I've ever had. Went back at 8:45 pm on a weekday night craving THEIR fried pickles only to find out they are not part of the "late night menu" which only includes two things. Very disappointed. I work a 12 hour shift, that's my dinner time.

Was there for funeral luncheon. Excellent service. Food was very good

This establishment is directly on one of the most common bike routes in the area. It would be an ideal place to stop and have a pint or a good meal on the water, however they're not even making a slight effort to be bike friendly. I stopped by on Saturday with a small group of very hungry and thirsty cyclists only to find that bikes had to be left outside (off the enormous back deck). Since no one on a long ride carries a lock with them and we couldn't just lean our bikes somewhere within eyesight, we had to move on. I can't imagine how much money they're loosing to this really obvious oversight. I guess you can chalk it up to bad management.

Very nice, went during the Sunday brunch. It was very nice. I only wish the food selection was a bit more robust. Oh, and I love the atmosphere! And the momosa's.

Overall the beer was good, not great. Not a bad environment. Feels more like a restaurant but you can still see the brewing equipment. I would go again look forward to see what they brew next. Bartenders and hostess are very nice, friendly and knowledgeable.

Been here a few times and plan on returning. Pretty okay menu and drink selection. Service is friendly and expeditious. It's a smidge pricey for the quality of food, but is in a very very convenient location and very good for groups. Awesome outdoor seating and nice large indoor seating area.

Mediocre at best.
Our waitress, Sabrina, was lovely. Attentive, friendly, fast. My entree has been messed up twice by the kitchen, and my fiance's salad is meh at best. The deviled eggs looked great, but were just run of the mill boring deviled eggs with extra stuff plopped on top. The crab dip was tiny.

The food was pricey and very average. I didn't try any beverages though.

My daughter, grand son and I were there Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. At first things went well. The live music was terrific. When the food finally arrived the chicken in my meal and my daughters sandwich was very tuff, over cooked and difficult to chew. We complained. The waitress offered a substitute to compensate. We ordered a salad instead. We removed the chicken from the dish and nibbled on the mash potatoes and bread for the 40 minutes it took to give us our salads. We were hungry. When the bill came, we were charged for the entire rejected meal and the substitute salad minus 1/6 of the total. We complained to the manager and the waitress returned and snapped, 'well you continued eating from the plate'. I explained we could not chew the chicken. The manager arrived and took off from the price one salad. I would not recommend a place where the customer is view as the problem. The cook should have re-cooked the chicken, or the meal should have been free if we were charged for a substitute salad. The salad should have not taken 50 minutes to prepare. The manager should be able to think and the waitress should not have snapped at us. Sad empty cold hearted workers.

Good food. Good atmosphere. Poor service. Not great beers

Good deal for Moscow mules on Mondays, but if you advertise a pizza special, you should really serve the aforementioned pizza on the advertised day

The place serves large portions and for affordable rates. super nice owner. Highly recommended.

As an outsider, I have never felt more unwelcome in my life. Maybe Florida is just that much different, but the bouncers and bartenders really had it out to get me. One of their friends pushed me into a railing and ripped my jeans. I was never apologized to once and made out to be a nuisance just because I m an oustsider. For anyone traveling, avoid this bar, they will just try to take your money.

Very nice ambience and people the food was very tasty. Was there for a father's day brunch I will definitely be back very soon.

Had sushi which was amazing. Also chicken fingers and fried pickles were good. Beer flight included 9 3oz pours. Not all to my liking but good amount.

I have visited here many times and normally, I have enjoyed my meal but that all ended when we stopped in for dinner after the pandemic. The menu is extremely limited which I can understand due to the situation, however the food was horrible. I order chicken nachos, which did not have any cheese, served with store brought salsa and literally a two spoons of shredded chicken. My husband order the wings which was horrible as well. Not a good experience.

Beer and food we're both great. Sushi was excellent

There was a roach climbing the wall in the in the dinner room. Staff were aware of customers seeing the roach. They did not said anything nor gave any credit to the customer as far as I know (well not to my party). Also, they act like this has happened before.

Huge place, tons of options, fast service. Came here with a group to enjoy an informal company holiday party - they can accommodate last minute large groups easily. 3 bars, a pizza oven, a sushi station. Great neighborhood place!

This place is amazing! Food is really good! But mostly, the vibe of it is unbelievable! They have jazz brunch on Sundays. I always bring my friends here on the weekend!

Absolutely thee worst place. They won't let you drink outside in the sitting area around the bar outside if you bought drinks from the bar on the inside!!! A young African American bartender was forced to come over and tell me i had to leave- from what looked like to be the manager of the outside bar, a tall white older douche. I was stunned and told them how ridiculous they are for making me leave after paying for over priced beer i bought to enjoy myself by myself at nobody's expense in a god damn corner at a table...I also told them they would be getting this review and they did not give one flying f***. I've never been so embarrassed for a company in my life
If you want to be ripped off, this place is for you.

My wife and I got married last April and chose this place for our wedding reception. As craft beer lovers, we chose Manayunk Brewing Company very early on in our wedding planning process due to the vibe of having our reception at a brewery as well as the very competitive pricing of the space. We were immediately introduced to Paris, who quickly became one of the best and most helpful people in our wedding planning. She was amazing throughout the entire process and always took the extra mile to make sure that we were organized and excited!

The event space itself is on the second floor above the restaurant. There are separate entrances, so you won t have to worry about running into regular patrons during your event. Renovations were being done at the time of our wedding, so the space may look different now, but at the time, it was a wonderful blend of industrial and old-fashioned that was ideal for our aesthetic. The room was also the perfect size for the number of guests we had (around 70). Again, the space has gone through renovations, so you should go see it for yourself in order to see what changes have occurred.

The food was fantastic! We are still receiving compliments from attendees on how excellent the food (and the drinks) were! An advantage that this place has is having the restaurant on the first floor; any diet restrictions that a few of our guests had were able to be easily accommodated. Also, if you re going to have an open bar, it s awesome to be able to have a wide selection of craft beer being offered instead of the usual two or three generic options that you normally get at most weddings.

Another nice touch was that a separate plate of the hors d oeuvres was set aside for us to make sure that we actually got to have some when we had a break in being good hosts to our guests. The staff made sure throughout the night that we were eating and drinking enough so that we weren t missing out on our own reception food and drinks, which we heard has happened to many couples at many other places.

We would readily recommend Manayunk Brewing Company for an event space! The restaurant/brewery downstairs is excellent as well; we ve gone there on several occasions and have never been disappointed.

used to be a much cooler place back in the day but still decent food and good beer.

I've had a great mix of experiences here. Nothing to keep me from coming back, but not recommending it for a night out either.

Always had a good meal from here. It's better when the weather is nice, so you can sit outside. Their frozen drinks and sushi are my go to.

My Family and I decided to eat here and we saw a mouse. The mouse was scurrying around the restaurant with no problems when we told someone, the manager proceeded to come out and basically tell us "There is nothing we can do and oh well." What kind of answer is that? So this is my first and last time eating at this restaurant

bouncers extremely rude, after a 20 minutes wait I was turned away because he 'didn't like my license', after attempting to show my 4 other forms of identification, he said, "doesn't matter I don't like it." I'm about to turn 22.

Went to a wedding reception here. Food and drinks pretty mediocre.

Pretty brutal Sunday evening dinner with my family here. Been here many times spanning the last ten years and man has there been a noticeable drop off in the service. We ordered our food but apparently the ticket was accidentally thrown out. This was fine, mistakes happen and the waitress was very nice about it. However, then it took exceedingly long for the food to come out AND only 3.5/5 entrees came out. They said they would be right back with the 5th and the proper sides to accompany the other. After ten minutes it never came and they came back to tell us that something happened to it and they had to re make it. I asked to speak with a manager who didn t care at all about my complaints. She took the 5th entree off the bill and that was it, did not offer a round of one of their incredibly average beers or even a real apology, just walked away from our table. The majority of the reason for the two star review was her response - not apologetic at all for horrible service! The waitress was great, I don t fault her at all. It s Management that has this place in a downward spiral headed straight for the toilet. As for the food - the burgers were decent but the tartar sauce for the fish was poor.

Their $11 beer sampler was great! i've been to a few breweries and I usually don't like most of the beers I sample, i only like a few. But these beers were rich and delicious. The pilsner and the belgian wheat were nice and light, but still had high alcohol content. The outside deck is beautiful and romantic I will definitely come back here.

Pretty great food! I ordered take out the other night and it was delicious. My hubby got a burger and I got a pizza and it was hot when it arrived. Keep up the great work!

Man oh man. The MBC is a true gem. Wednesday night special is amazing. 2 beers and a whole pizza for $10 bucks (not sure how long the special will run but it's amazing). Also it's awesome that they have canned beer to take home. Awesome assortment of seasonal beers. Check this place out.

This place was very nice and the food was very good and the service.

4 stars for ambience & beer. Right on the canal, awesome open air bar/patio. Live music all summer. Food is extremely mediocre... wouldn t recommend going to eat. But if you re starving, especially don t get the mahogany wings. The sauce was literally like eating super glue it was so sticky

Unfortunately the poor service outweighed the fix...get your whole service life together...I can't, I wont, and I will never again eat at Manayunk Brewing Company

Nice atmosphere and the service was good. I ordered the sirloin with asparagus and mash potatoes and it was tasty but I only got 4 asparagus. It may seem a small thing but only 4 skinny asparagus? My friend thought the Turkey burger was under cooked.

What a beautiful place, absolutely delicious food, wonderful staff .

Food is pretty good, beer is mediocre. Service is hit or miss.

According to my wife there is a faulty faucet in the women's bathroom that is always at full hot and can not be adjusted. Also according to the hostess, management knows about that but they refuse to get the problem fixed.

Came here for a first date drinks were ok order the Salmon that came with rice and vegetables instead of the rice I wanted sweet potato fries when our came the rice was cold and I said I didnt want the rice well the came out and it was cold and instead of saying they dont have sweet potatoes fries they brought me regular fries ..... very disappointed

Went on a Wednesday night for the first time. Waiter advised they had bottled water for $1.50 and one of the beers on the list was not available. I asked which beer was low carb he said "i don't know, maybe the cider one" how do you work at a brewery and not know about the beers. I expected him to say I'll go check or let me find out. That didn't happen so I asked for Miller lite, he advised we don't have Miller lite we have bud lite, again it's a brewery why do you not have different beers..ok fine got the bud lite. It was a 12oz can for $4.77, I asked for a straw he said ok...waited and waited.. asked again for a straw by the time I received the straw beer was hot. So I asked for a cup of ice, he did bring me a cup of ice. So if you can bring me ice then you can serve ice water without charging me for bottled water smh. On to the food, ordered buffalo wings good taste but could use more time cooking, big pieces were not cooked all the way. Person I went with ordered another round of wings. This time the wings came out with wet wipes which we did not receive the first time and had to ask for napkins. At the end of the night I realized why we received not so great service...they add 18% GRATUITY to EVERY CHECK...i understand what's going on and restaurants are struggling however when waiters know that no matter how they treat you they are automatically getting a tip the service is not the same. As far as social distancing that was good, however they still have salt and pepper shakers and beer list on each table. The woman that cleans the tables puts the beer list and shakers in the chair (just nasty) to wipe the table then puts them back on the table without wiping them down. Noticed that the whole time is was there. Waiters don't have on gloves, still using pens to sign paper receipts (table to table), still proving bottles of ketchup instead of packets, also looks like they reuse some menus. That is why I gave 3 stars. A lot of touching things touched by other people.

For a Wednesday night the crowd was somewhat small I believe there was a karaoke special people seem to be enjoying themselves I was only there for approximately 30 minutes. And within that 30 minutes the service was fine. It also sits on a waterfront so the ambience is available for those who seek that.

Average food, i ate the mahogany wings nice flavor but needed more sauce

Delicious beer and the staff is always on point... at least as far as I've seen

I thought this place was really cool at first. Got the Riverside Salad which had shrimp and crab on it and got sick immediately upon leaving the restaurant. Luckily it only lasted an hour or so but I called the restaurant to tell them they may not want to serve that anymore today and the woman on the phone I guess did not believe me because she said plenty of other people have had it today and have not complained. Now I wish I would ve just asked for my $18 back. Yuck.

Good beer, mixed drinks, pub food, and... Sushi? Manayunk can be a little pricey at times, but can also be fairly affordable if you know what you're doing. I'd recommend this place for friendly gatherings and family brunch.
