Place was crappy.. service, food and the guys that worked there. Very rude went on my bday was a disappointment honestly

They have amazing sushi AND amazing nachos! What more could a girl want? The sushi is a little on the pricey side but its worth it.

My family and I used to go here every Easter after Church for brunch. This place was fantastic, all you can eat buffet lunch was incredible! Service and atmosphere here was wonderful. Thanks for all the great memories Manayunk!

The hosts were nice, the service was pretty slow, the food was just okay, and the beer flight was not good. It's a nice setting is the best it has going for it.

I really enjoyed the relaxing, fireside atmosphere of the restaurant and flavors of the crab dip and shrimp risotto. My wife and mother in law split an amazing pizza with mushrooms all over it ( we are near the mushroom capitol of the US here: Kennett Square, PA.) However, this is a brewery. Every time I go the focus seems to be less and less on beer and more on food/cocktails. They just have a few beers on tap, and none are IPAs. What?!!!

My boyfriend and I dined here last week. We usually love coming here for dinner and everything is usually great. It was a nice night outside kind of slow and we sat on the deck. They must have changed the menu because they no longer have fried pickles. The service was terrible. It took about 45 mins to get the appetizer. Our food came and the black bean burger my boyfriend ordered had cheese all over it when the menu said nothing about cheese. Normally this isn t a big issue but he is lactose intolerant and at this point we wanted to eat and leave. He had asked for a menu to double check and the hostess had to take the burger back because the server was no where to be found. The server never even asked how any of our food was and if she did she would have known there was an issue. I will not rush back here.

35 minute wait on a saturday night because the hostess said the kitchen is slow. Once we were seated the waitress popped in said she would be right back, 15 mins later she comes back to take our order. Ordered a sirloin medium, got it mostly medium rare which isnt a big deal but the menu says served with a garlic butter over the top of the steak which it never came with. Then once we get our food, we realize we never were given silverware so we have to steal it off of another table. They weren't even that busy. The food is okay but for the price, it isn't worth the trouble. First time here and definitely the last time. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Great beers of all varieties. Good food, especially pizzas. And the outside seating is some of the best in Manayunk during the spring and summer.

I can't speak to their food, but the beer is quality and the set up of the establishment is great. This is definitely a great place to go to late at night. It can get crowded but it is still a nice location for 1-2 friends or a larger group.

Great selection of beer that rotates quite often! I also ordered the wings and they were excellent. The back patio and deck have an awesome vibe too. I just wish they sold more of their beers in cans.

The resident brewery of Main St is Manayunk Brewing Company, aka "Brew Pub". The best things about this place are a) the multitude of different bar areas, and b) a huge outdoor deck on the riverbank, which is gorgeous in the warmer months. The food is solidly American pub fare, and of average price and taste. Weirdly enough, they have a good sushi bar. Sometimes the beer can be a little muddy in flavor, but it's nice to have a brewery in town.

On weekend evenings, the pub is mobbed by the college crowd, and you will likely need to pay a cover and/or get carded hard. The payoff is some great live music, if you can deal with the crowd.

There is a listing of all the floods on the brewery wall and the height they reached in the ground floor. This is a dubious point of pride, as I'm sure plenty of brew batches have been lost to the raging waters...

Amazing experience, The food was great and the service was exceptional we had this very kind woman named Jen, she was pleasant and gave us everything we needed. Food was there in efficient time and her attitude was great! If there was a problem Jen could solve it!

Good house made beers. Monk from the yunk in a flight inspired me to buy a 4-pack. Paired with great pizza - the Kennett. Also, my wife never minds coming here due to sushi offerings.

Great place to eat but they recently took the fried pickles off the menu which was one of my favorite starters.

The food here is pretty good/reasonable, I'm just not a huge fan of the beers that they brew here. Sometimes a cover (I think) which is also a downside in my opinion. If you have a hankering for sushi, try it here, they have a great sushi bar.

Waited 10+ minutes before anyone came to see us at our table on a Wednesday night that wasn't too busy. Once the waitress mad her way over we ordered a few drinks. After about five more minutes we're told they're out of the two drafts we ordered. Ordered another round and the same thing, we're out of that too.

Can't comment on the food, didn't stay. Service was terrible.

Stopped by on a Thursday evening to catch the first half of the first Eagles game. They weren't too packed, and we were able to find seating right away at the bar to get a great view of the TVs. The place is pretty big with some table seating also available throughout. Bartenders were friendly and attentive.

We were brought complementary popcorn that was seasoned with crab fries seasoning, which is freshly popped on location and gives the brewery a nice scent. Then we ordered the pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was a little bit smaller than I'd hoped, but it may have been one of the best beer cheeses that I've ever had. We also ordered a variety of beers throughout the night, which were pretty tasty.

I want to minus a star just because I do wish they had more beers, but they did have a decent selection. However, I'd add that star back because they actually have great happy hour specials!

Thoroughly underwhelming. Some items on the menu weren't actually available. Service was friendly but slow. The food was mediocre at best. The mashed parsnips weren't very mashed - large chunks of hard, undercooked parsnips. The fries - substituted without warning for mashed potatoes described on menu - were mushy and unappetizing. The pasta was overly salty. The coleslaw was okay. For the money we spent, I would expect much better food.

p.s. They don't serve sushi anymore, which was a big part of the reason we went.

It s a standard pub fare. Staff is friendly. They made a pretty decent shandy, and I ve found that to be a rare thing!

Manayunk brewery used to be a place to frequent but when you have as unprofessional and scum like employees / 'security' that can barely even do there job of pathetically grabbing coats...well there's a problem.

Was considering living in the area and decided to stop by while exploring the canal towpath. I tried a sampler and was pretty disappointed by all but two of the beers; the blackberry something and the Peanut Butter Porter. I also ordered a hummus plate which was extremely tacky and just awful. It was basically the cheapest hummus they could find, pita (I think it was actually thawed frozen naan), and sliced celery and carrot sticks along with some stale pretzels. I guess when you have a monopoly on canal front breweries in Manayunk there isn't much incentive to maintain high standards for your product.

Great out door seating and has good food. It can get a little crowded later in the night

Nice place with a good variety of brews. Good to see cider, wine and cocktails for those that aren't into beer. It was a pleasant surprise to have live music on a Tuesday night as well! Didn't try the food, but they appeared to have pub fair and a sushi bar.

The food was not that great to me I thought I was getting Ribs and got beef roast instead. Crab dip was served with chips not flat bread. Service was horrible never got bread for table overrated. I am from Maryland and lumb crabmeat with Captain delight was not real lumb but crumbs. Will never go there again.

Came for the Jazz Brunch... Loved the music and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food? Eh, not so much. I got started at 1pm. The food was cold. The roast beef (the better not be trying to call it prime rib) was stone cold. The bloody mary tasted like I was drinking straight shrimp cocktail sauce! The mimosa was delish. This is definitely more of an "atmosphere" place. I won't do brunch again but I will come back for the music and maybe to check out the happy hour.

We had great time, the food was delicious and the waitresses were polite and friendly.

I've been by the building a million times but I never actually knew what it was. I always assumed it was a defunct business and not open any longer. Still, we tried it for lunch yesterday and to my surprise, not only was it open, but there were also a considerable amount of people inside!

The first thing I noticed was that they have a sushi chef on staff. I've never been to a brew pub that had sushi. The next thing I noticed was that they also had wood-fired pizza.

I always take a restaurant with that many options as being a bad sign. Some of the best restaurants I have been to have featured only a handful of options. Having more than that can sometimes be a little overwhelming.

Let's just say it was Sunday afternoon and Saturday night had been long and eventful. So, I was in the mood for a big, messy sandwich. When I saw the brisket sandwich my mind was made. I also got one of their house beers, the El Rio.

The beer was great. A more complex take on mexican beers like Corona or Tecate. I would definitely get it again.

Unfortunately, my sandwich was lacking. Maybe it's just me, but I want my smoked brisket to have multiple levels of flavor. Beyond the smokiness of the meat, I'd love some sort of spice from a dry rub or a sauce. This had neither. It came topped with jack cheese and a "Sriracha Slaw". The cheese was nice, but there was absolutely no spice from the slaw. I almost feel like they didn't include it when they prepared my food. Oh well, I was starving and didn't feel like complaining. The brioche bun was amazing and the sandwich together was all pretty good.

Their house made chips are excellent. Very crunchy and tossed in a spice blend similar to Old Bay. Sandwiches and burgers also come with house pickles. Although I'm not a huge fan of pickles, I have to say these were great!

My dad got a wood fired pizza. The serving size was quite generous and he was quite full so he passed on a piece to me. I immediately regretted my decision. The pizza was awesome! The crust was of perfect consistency and the toppings were great. He went with the po'boy and added chicken. The amount of chicken was generous and the chipolte ranch sauce was just right.

I definitely want to check this place out again!

The drinks were good. The kitchen closed by 10pm. This is not a place for a late meal only light snacks.

We had difficulty getting service because of a very large party next to our table. It was 20 minutes before anyone came to our table, and twice I had to go to the front to ask for someone to serve our table. We ended up with a very nice waitress. The food from the sushi bar was excellent.

I will not be coming here again. I prefer to have more menu options available.

I gave a gathering on Memoral Day ( Upper Deck) and I want to recognize Jen and Haley. They were magnificent! Jen put together the food which was delicious. Her presentation was outstanding! Haley responded to every request with a pleasant attitude and made everything happen! I was impressed with both ladies. They were pleasant and courteous. I want to thank them for their service. It was outstanding!!!!!!

This place is pretty cool. Popcorn for the bar snack is on point. Lots of bars both indoor and out door to pick from. And the beer is pretty good too.

Inflated prices for less than average food. I wish I had two extra hands so I could give this place four thumbs down

My good friend and I was waiting to get in. When we got to the bouncer they said he was not allowed in because he has a "tank top" on. After a small confrontation we conceded and walked away. The very next person was a girl wearing a tank and they didn't care at all. This is not only sexist but ridiculous. The fact that my friend who was a male was not allowed in because of his tank top, but the girl right behind him was is ridiculous.

Food is always amazing never had a problem till today with the service particularly with a waiter named Melody I would avoid her section

As a restaurant they are pretty good. The bar is good and the sushi is great. But the beer is not worth trying unless you like experimental beer. Great deck in the summer.

If you make a ton of money with mediocre beer and worse food, why change? As long as the college kids pour in, I don't think they ever will.

Helpful, kind, fitting to our needs and more. We had reserved the upper deck for an event and Haley was there as soon as I or one of the other guests needed something. She was accommodating and amazing and easy to work with. If i were to go back or have another event I would only want Haley to assist.

BUT, the food was terrible. Hummus didn t taste like hummus at all, with poor quality dipping items. Fish tacos were overly crispy and bland. Fish and chips was mediocre at best.

Drinks were served in plastic cups despite having dinner. No napkins given for the starter haha.

Waitress was nice but dim and inattentive.

Overall, avoid for food, ok for drinks.

It was very disappoting for a place that has the word "brewery" in it. Someone mentioned in a previous comment that this place has an identity crisis, I completely agree. Sushi, pizza, tons of other options, way too many conflicting foods. The crabdip was decent and it was clearly obvious the servers were understaffed. The last of them all, THE BEER, (not a single decent IPA on the beer menu imo) I think their might of been one ipa on their beer selection and the rest was a mixure of fruity nonsense. They do offer a wide variety of alcohol and drinks but are defintley not focusing on the regular "brewery" customers/supporters. And on top of it all, fairly expensive for what you get. I did enjoy the two stouts on their selection atleast, thank god for the higher percentage on those. It really sucks because the place really does have a very cool layout with multiple bars, outdoor patio, huge dining room, and great view of the river.

P.S. My professional score would be a 2.2. Whole numbers are for rookies.

I have yet to have a poor experience here. I have been out back on the deck, inside dining, at the sushi bar, and the normal bar, by myself, with my girlfriend and with a group of people and every time I have never had a bad experience. I don t want to jinx myself...but I have been coming here for years and it s my favorite place to come to in philly and have a great time.

Average food and the worst service. I've live in the area for years, I tired and tried to give this place a shot. I'm done.

This bar on manayunk provides a host of tap beers and IPAs. The food is adequate bar food across the board. The service is adequate. The biggest downside to this, like most places in manayunk, is a lack of parking. There is street parking only. The brew pub does have a very nice outdoor seating area overlooking the canal though

Went here with a friend to meet some people. $5 cover charge on a friday night. Wasn't expecting the place to be as big as it is on the inside. It has a bar, a sushi bar, and somewhere to buy pizza on the inside. An outside patio with bar, another bar, and an upstairs with another bar. No problem getting drinks here. It filled up around 11:30 midnight.

Great food and great beer. Their variety in both their beers they brew and other selections is great! Food was delicious and the menu wasnt overwhelming.

Used to be a nice place but has been managed terribly. Service has been terrible lately and food quality dropped. The Manager has her head stuck up her butt and loves the smell. Never going back.

We've always enjoyed the Manyunk Brewing Company. Sitting alongside the river, the ambience is cool and refreshing...a phrase I thought I'd never utter about the Schuykill...
But the set up during this Covid19 time feels safe, the rules are gently enforced and folks safely enjoy outdoor dining in SD mode while the staff respectfully remains masked.

Nice n decent place 2 grab a bite n have a nice drink n just lounge. This is my point a view as a delivery man that I am. The employees r cool n welcoming. So I'll give it 4 stars.

Good, I liked the atmosphere, only had appetizers and the happy hour special. I would recommend this place to others, I would visit again.

The beer here is perfectly fine and there is a nice atmosphere on the outside deck. However, I came here for dinner with my friend after she had worked a 12 hour shift at her job and the only food we ordered was the Chicken Littles (chicken fingers and fries).

It took about 50 minutes for this food to come out as we watched other parties who were seated before us receive their food. Our server was attentive and assured us that they were checking on our food throughout our wait, but we were still bothered by this long wait. When the food finally came, the chicken was lukewarm.

I know it is possible that this restaurant has decent food and that waits for basic orders like chicken fingers and fries do not always take so long, but based on our experience I have no choice but to give a low rating.

Edit: raised the rating because the server was very nice and the manager comped our drinks.

Loved the brunch and live band. Staff were very friendly.

Went their for lunch. Got some salads which were good. However, we ordered a sushi appetizer but never received it but it was on our bill. The waiter took it off but never really apologized to us. That was it. No more contact from anybody. Won't be going to back.

Has a great beer selection. I suggest the sour beers with the fruit accents. Some truly delicious beer. The food is also good.

disclaimer: I am not reviewing the brew pub. I've never been there. I just, with great displeasure, drank the most disgusting thing on the planet. summer paradise? $10 for 4 cans of citrus sewage runoff...? ugh... this is a public service warning...

The food is okay, but not worth the price or hassle. I ordered the pasta which was an okay size but obviously just boxed pasta tossed with some veggies for $14. My husband's burger and the nachos for the table came wrong, and by the time the nachos came back we were already eating our entrees. It also wasn't busy, but all the waitstaff seemed to have too much to do to check on anyone often. Can't recommend.

The scenery was fantastic. Nice place for hangouts or parties. The food on the other hand, was just ok. Our pizza was slightly burnt. Staff were very friendly.

Awesome Sunday brunch food selection at a very reasonable cost. Live jazz was excellent and creates a relaxing ambience and the server was great! Would definitely return.

Denied my girlfriend for having a valid NC ID because it wasn't a PA ID. Despicable service.
