Love the Malthouse! Fascinating performances, good place to meet friends, friendly, helpful staff, food and drink available. Sitting ing the courtyard, sipping on a chilled Rose before the performance is THE way to go to the theatre!

Went there for the CBA Christmas party. The food was good, there a burger food truck youcould eat from. There was also staff bringing around food on plates. The was a drinks truck as well. This meant that there were multiple places to get food and drink, so reduced queues. Outside there were two excellent singers and inside there was a DJ. There were also two photos booths. The space over our head contained all thr scenery lift up, so that was quite interesting. The only downer is absolutely no taxis came at the end of the night for those who wanted to go home. Well organized Malthouse. I'd go there for another party.

This is my second time watching Michelle Lee's plays. This is an awesome little venue where you can watch cool plays and area is outside of the CBD enough that you can find street parking. Place also offers a selection of beer and wine that you can take into the play (request plastic cups). I highly recommend it.

I attended the 'performance' of 'In the Bleak Midwinter' on Friday night. In brief, I recommend you rather attend your local dentist and request an extraction with no anaesthetic. It will be far more bearable even pleasurable by comparison and will be over far quicker.

I went to the Malthouse with my partner to watch The Good Muslim Boy play. I wear a hearing aid and my seat was up in the top row. I could not hear much of the play, and was only able to hear when the actors dialogue was necessarily louder. . The play became meaningless to me. Am not sure if sitting in the front would be better as friends who were seated toward the front complained of a lot of background noise.

We went to the Malthouse Theatre to see "The End of Eddy" an English production that was part of MIFA. Both performers were fantastic working with four screens to present multiple roles while also partnering to play the part of Eddy. This was totally engaging theatre dealing with political issues deftly and bringing to life the trials of working class life in a village in rural France. Eddy's futile attempts to make himself a real man were moving and his courage in finding a path to being himself was inspirational. It was a shame we saw one of the last performances because I intend to tell everyone about this performance.

A well constructed comfortable modern theatre. Toilets are in a much better condition than the older more well known theatres in the city. The seats were comfy and there was more leg room for people to pass by. It was not too difficult to find parking. But it was Sunday evening. I would imagine that during the weekday it would be quite a challenge. Nice court yard with seats and plenty of standing room in pleasant surrounds. The theatre was wheelchair accessible. There's a front seating wheelchair area about 5 rows from the front of the stage.

The best place in Melbourne to go for live theatre. Great combination of prestigious and underground.
The staff here were so amazing in accommodating my Nanna at my graduation.
Cannot speak better about this place.

I never write reviews but had such a bad experience at a work party here. The space is fine but staff are rude and service was completely disorganised - was a complete shambles!!

Literally had to stand by the kitchen to get any food, there wasn t enough going round and not circulated properly, lots of people never got anything to eat.

Bars were all chaos. Not enough staff serving all night and then they started shutting them 30 early so people who were waited to be served got sent to another bar and then to another one that only had one person serving whilst all the other staff packed up. Tried for 20 mins to get a drink and was then told that I had to pay for it cos it was one minute past midnight. Complained and explained that I had been bounced around bars and waited ages and staff just didn t care.

Don t bother with the venue for large scale partys/events, nothing special, total let down.

Had a huge event here and I don t think it was at all appropriate as the parking was insufficient and just not enough room to move in saying that I think that s an organisational issue not an environmental issue!

It's been years since I've seen a performance at Malthouse. Today made me realize what I've been missing. Enjoyed amazing performances by innovative students, including ours then had the pleasure of seeing the professionals present the same play as the students. Very thought provoking performances by all. A great day.
