Welcome to the official website of the Bathurst Arts and Theatre Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts in the Bathurst region. Our society is committed to providing a platform for local artists, performers, and creatives to showcase their talents and connect with audiences.
The Bathurst Arts and Theatre Society was founded in 1985 with a mission to enrich the cultural life of our community through art exhibitions, theatre productions, workshops, classes, and events. Over the years, we have grown into one of the most respected arts organizations in New South Wales.
Our flagship project is the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG), which houses an impressive collection of Australian art from colonial times to contemporary works. The gallery features both permanent displays as well as temporary exhibitions that change regularly throughout the year. BRAG also offers educational programs for schools and community groups.
In addition to BRAG, we also operate two other venues: The Theatre Royal and The Memorial Entertainment Centre. These venues host a variety of performances including plays, musicals, concerts, dance shows as well as film screenings.
At Bathurst Arts and Theatre Society we believe that everyone should have access to quality arts experiences regardless of their background or financial situation. That's why we offer affordable ticket prices for our events as well as free admission days at BRAG.
We are proud supporters of local artists who are passionate about their craft. We provide opportunities for emerging artists through our annual Emerging Artist Exhibition which showcases new talent from across New South Wales.
