Michael at the front desk is very welcoming, made us feel at home. The rooms are spacious and nice. Breakfast is very tasty and filling.

Overall, our stay was well worth the price. Would definitely stay with the Maldron Parnel Square hotel again.

Nice hotel
Room was small but sufficient for a city break. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Bus station for hop on hop of 400m away.
Bus stop for the airport in the immediate vicinity

We were very satisfied with the hotel, the cleanliness, the details, the staff, etc. The phenomenal buffet breakfast. The very good location 5 min from O'Connell Street on foot. The bus to the airport caught us very close. On the last day we left the luggage at the hotel slogan without any problem (they didn't charge us anything) since we had the flight in the afternoon. Recommendable! To say the least, accommodation in Ireland is generally high priced.

Spent a weekend at the Maldron recently. Rooms were clean. Breakfast great though no white pudding, service excellent, the staff could not do enough for my elderly father. 2-3 minutes to the Rotunda hospital, Irish writers museum, the garden of remembrance, O'Connell St. Fine dining at The Hot Stove and Chapter One.

Arrived to the hotel and commented that the price had dropped 100 from my reservation, got no interest from the recepcionist, said our prices vary every day .
Ok, let s assume then that 147 /night, will be an unforgettable experience.

No... the room was not even similar to the photos, white and old bathroom. Bed sheets undersized to the bed, if you push up, the feets are in direct contact with the mattress, you push down...the same in the top...

No minibar, nothing that would stand out in the room, noisy outside the room, the hall was often with cleaning stuff in the floor.

A 4 star hotel, with a 3 star look.

Last day, I thought, let s see if at least they let me stay for another hour in the morning, as I ve overpaid...sure you can stay for 10 for each extra hour.

Very overpriced experience.

On behalf of all Highfield Healthcare workers that had to move out of their accommodations during this pandemic I want to say thanks to wonderful Maldron Hotel staff for having us and taking care of us.

For a 4-star hotel, the cleanliness of the room (especially in the bathroom) that we occupied for 3 consecutive nights is clearly not there! The insulation is very average and the heating goes out in the middle of the night! 1 star for the room.
A special mention to the irreproachable buffet and the attentive team (which alone adds 2 stars to the final score).

Got nothing to complaint about, the room was big and clean, the area is close to the city centre and well connected. I would definitely come back if I ever come back to Dublin. Overall experience was good.

The hotel is suposed to be "4 stars" but luckly they should have only 3.
The stuff can be nice, true.
But there is no heater on the bathroom.
The shower/bath is so uncomfortable.
The corridors are uncomfortable too.

We asked for a room for 3 persons. They gave us a doble room with a third "bed" (2 cushions, no mattress) and moreover there was no enough space to move. And furthermore, this bed has the ventilation above so the person sleeping there almost could get sick due to the cold air from the street.

The price for this service is just so disgusting.

The hotel is in a great location and i booked in for a nights rest. I was handed room 606. A large room with big windows. The problem was the view was obstructed by scaffolding. And up until 5ish was noisy with workers. Usually i dont mind this but they were literally outside my room. I had to close the curtains to have any privacy. The noise again started at 07.50. There were workers right at my window. I didnt like that at all. The noise they made was enough to disturb any ideas of rest i had. All in all i am not happy at all with my stay.

Oct. 11, 2018 - LOUD CONSTRUCTION ALL DAY. Hammering starts at 8am sharp, drilling around 11am and full on jack-hammering by noon. Essentially renders your room useless from 11am to 5pm. Not only can you not get any rest if you ve just flown in or are in town to work nights, the noise is actively aggravating. Luckily my group and I were able to switch hotels entirely as no room in the hotel is away from the noise. Construction is everywhere including in adjacent rooms.

Otherwise it s a decent hotel. Rooms are a bit small and maybe it s a US thing, but I miss having a mini-fridge. Check that construction is/will be over before booking here.

When first walking up the street I was quite nervous since the street was shabby... But the hotel was nice, the staff wasn't so nice and cold smile more... The distance to the city centre was also OK!

Decent hotel, but not really worth its price. Rooms are clean, hotel is quite quiet. We had troubles with the window in our room whish didn't close properly, therefore it was a bind windy, cold and noisy. No "samples" like soap offered, but big bottles available. Breakfast was quite good. Guess you can find better in Dublin for the same price.

Once again check in and room very good. We had dinner on two occasions and this was extremely good and great value. Breakfast was different service on all three mornings was poor staff seemed confused both taking orders and serving on second morning my wife s porridge was brought along with her cooked
Breakfast and when I ask server why he got a bit heated and told us in no uncertain manner he was in fact doing us a favour serving us it. On a more positive note Dino who both
served at bar and in restaurant was really friendly guy who was a true gentleman and one you should keep for very long time. Finally bar closed at 11pm on one occasion and 10pm on another two I found this extremely early and was told even as a resident we could not even get served after this time .I had friends who stayed same weekend in Dublin and this was not case in their hotels .If this is hotel policy I think it should be stated on website

Breakfast is very good. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and had a good experience. Unfortunately this time it was not so good. My room was on the 3rd floor and the windows although double glazed did nothing to stop the traffic noise from coming through. My room was at a crossroad so I had traffic coming from every direction with lots of buses, even the very loud street sweepers went up and down at 2am!

Also, at the moment there is lots of construction work being carried out so drilling and hammering goes on throughout the day. Not a good experience! Feeling exhausted!

It is in a somewhat more secluded area, about 20 minutes to downtown. But nothing of the beginning of the most important street of Dublin. The hotel is fine, the hairdryer is in a drawer in the room. You do not have anything that you miss. From the airport by taxi are about 20. It has a restaurant, but no parking. The attention at the reception has been good. The soundproofing of the rooms is regular. I would stay at the same hotel again.

GO far

Let's start from what could be improved and why on...

Let's start from what could be improved and why only 3 stars:
The room had damaged bathroom door which didn't close.
The air conditioner was not working. I didn't see any result of switching conditioner modes and setting higher temperature also didn't work. I felt cold.
The bathroom vent worked all day and pushed cold air into the room. It can't be turned off.
I asked reception why it doesn't stop and they answered something this was for safety measures. However, could not clarify what is connection to this air vent with constantly pushing cold air and safety measures. What is safe about constantly working central ventilation and pushing air to the rooms ? Helping the virus spread from one room to another? This looked unclear and ridiculous.
The room walls were a bit dirty.
I didn't like that I was charged in advance in the 4 star hotel.
When I stayed at Golden Tulip 4 star hotel in Netherlands I paid only at check-out after a week. No one suspected me that I can't cover my costs. And also no one registered there for breakfast. Only asked during check-out how many breakfasts did I visit to correctly calculate price.
I know what is great service and hence I can value the quality.
The overall quality is far from Netherlands or Sweden 4 star Hotels.
The breakfast was just okay, I would say average, not brilliant as Booking advertises. Not as good as Swedish Hotels have. However, that quality of food is quite common in Ireland. So for locals that may be just fine, but for those who know a better level, this will be noticed as is.

What was good:
Nearly all personnel at reception were friendly and smiling. Everyone helped with any question, like taxi ordering, etc.
I saw hotel had started to roll out new safety standards for restaurant.
Those could be improved though and manager promised to improve them even better, making hand cleaning tube clearly visible near the warning about safety measures, otherwise it was hanging somewhere on the side and could be easily passed by.

I must admit that Hotel has had problems working and delivering service in such difficult situation with virus epidemic in the world and in the country. I with the hotel to improve even better and reach the level of quality like hotels of Netherlands or Sweden, which have also a lot better and more different food for breakfast.

Locations great, out of the drama but close to amenities and nice remembrance park and all the local shops.

Bad things-

Check in was at 3pm so everyone was queuing at 3 of course. Upon arrival I upgraded to the special occasion package for my partners birthday. When I checked the the host had mentioned my room would take longer as I ve upgraded to the special occasion package well this ruined the surprise! Whilst we was waiting we couldn t get a drink in the lobby bar as we wasn t ordering food. So I made out I was looking at the menu and ordering a drink.

Beds very comfy, only 1 pillow each. There was only 1 towel hanging in the bathroom we had to look in every cupboard to try and find a second towel! The bath was old and dated it has marks on which wasn t inviting at all. The shower was in a fixed position which made showering unpleasant. The toilet seat was loose.

As we arrived through COVID-19 we was told to stay in the room and order room service if we needed any food or drinks. Well when we got to the room there was no phone book guide anywhere so you couldn t call anyone. A menu wasn t in the room for us to even look at.

We tried to order breakfast the next morning and this was a nightmare as they told us we had to come down.

The location of this hotel is great. It's right in the middle of the city at an easy walking distance from lots of attractions. The hotel doesn't provide as many complimentary soaps and conveniences, but it's not bad. My biggest complaint was that they didn't have any parking and didn't inform us of that until we had arrived and asked where to park. The hotel has a deal with a parking garage to get discounted parking, but it is still expensive. Our GPS wasn't working initially and their maps are essentially useless for driving, so we got lost and parked in the wrong place twice before we finally figured out where to go. More help with parking and even unloading our bags would've been nice. It was frustrating to have to pull them for such a long way to the hotel, but it's difficult to park outside the hotel and unload because it is located on a busy street corner.

Clean, comfortable rooms, bed comfortable and shower great! Fiendly and helpful staff - only negative was that when something ran out on the breakfast buffet you had to wait quite a while for it to be replaced.

It was a very short stay. We arrived late and and left early the following morning. The room was excellent value for money, to be honest I wasn't expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious with a huge bed. In addition the shower was Iovely. We both enjoyed a great breakfast at 7am and were impressed with the selection on offer. All in all a good stay.

Went for trip to Dublin and decided to stay in MHPS. Hotel very clean and stuff very friendly. Good bar and restaurant. Food in the restaurant was tasy. Breakfast very good. Only one minus, in quite nice room bathroom was just ok, think need some updates.

Reception and Restaurant staff were very helpful with all my queries including some printing I required for my work. Rooms pleasant and as you would expect, Dinner very good, breakfast good, hotel quite and only a short 5 minutes to the centre of O'Connell Street Most of all the cost was good value for a city centre location.

Good breakfast, decent location & the room was spot on. Used the Do Dublin bus & the driver dropped us off right outside the front door of the hotel coz it was raining. Frosty pants lady on reception the first day, when we checked in but no big deal.

I needed to book a room last minute in Dublin after experiencing problems with another hotel, and I was able to walk in and book my stay right away. The room was small but cosy. Staff was very professional and helpful, and answered all my questions on getting around Dublin. The location was also perfect, as it is a short walk from the shopping centres and many great pubs and restaurants in the city. They also offer room-only rates, so you can pay a little less for your stay if you prefer to eat out. Will assuredly book again when I return to Dublin!

P. S. I gave the 'Quality of Food' rating a 'Satisfactory' only because I didn't actually eat there, so I don't know. But the hotel's restaurant menu looked nice enough.

Decent hotel, could of provided more pillows and softer sheets. Lack of toiletries in bathroom but decent accommodations. Location was a tad off but for the price a decent value. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Was annoying how to access internet through Facebook daily

Everything about the stay was wonderful. The only ...

Everything about the stay was wonderful. The only complaint was the wifi connection on the 5th floor, where we were staying. It was not a very strong connection, and for a strong connection we had to go down to the lobby to use it. This was an issue due to the fact that we were visiting from America and had no other way to use our phones other than through the use of wifi. Other than that, it was a very clean, comfortable, friendly stay. Great walking distance from O'Connell street and the bus stop as well!

We were staying at the hotel for my 30th birthday ...

We were staying at the hotel for my 30th birthday and had approx 7 rooms booked in total between us.
2 rooms of the group were moved on the first morning of their stay due to construction work which was not mentioned prior to arrival or even upon arrival so a complete shock to the people in the rooms who had to re pack their things and then wait for a room to be allocated later that day. This made these people late to our breakfast booking so impacted upon the whole group. 1 of the guests has a member of your staff walk in on them in the morning without knocking. This was a lone female in the room as well so really not happy that they just walked in on the room! The construction work also started at 7am in the morning which woke most people up - again I appreciate that this can happen at this time but if we had been made aware earlier we could have potentially stayed somewhere else.
My room itself was lovely and had no issues but having other people have a bad experience did put a slight dampner on my birthday weekend!
