Carrier be aware of Megallan, they are not even in or from the State and will not pay you your full contract. Also they will leave you hanging when the load is in your trailer and receiver not wanting the loads.

They are crooks. Carriers - stay away from them, total ripoff - insane late fees even if you notify them and get 10 min late to receiver.

Booked a load early in the morning for pick up first thing next day in the morning at 05:00 and deliver stright. Calls 18:00 and cancels the load and does not want to pay truck order not use. Very unprofessional company would NOT RECOMMEND to anyone.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My company Delco Transport INC was charged $500 deduction because my truck showed up to the shipper with 1 driver in the truck. The load went from Nashviille, TN to Freehold, NJ and delivered 7 am next day like a team run would deliver. Magellan spoke with both drivers and they are trying to steal $500 from our rate.

Mathew Sharma, quite a few reviews of him.... but I find TONU situation little too much with Magellan. Then they are hard to get hold of, their dispatch put you on hold for long time.
My advise...... always get Pickup number and call their shipper to confirm load is there for you to pick up.

Such an amazing company to do business with - Communication to customers is 24/7 and there is the utmost care for each load that is handled.

Matthew Sharma out of the PA branch booked one of our trucks on a same day run from IL-WI. Shipper loaded the product on the wrong carrier. We let Matt know right away and after 5 hours in the dock he nor the shipper could tell us when they might have product to load. Matthew's answer is if you leave I'm not paying you anything. We will not be using this company again.

I call Magellan for customer services. The customer services are always available with very nice services. Specially, I talk to Mallory Kamp and Parker for helps. They always are willing to help with efficiency. We are very appreciate their helps and highly recommend Magellan Transport to any carrier and and customer!

Wonderful place to work! The company really cares about its employees, drivers and customers.

Very unprofessional, booked a load, rate confirmation shows 6-10pm to load. Driver got to the pickup 7pm and wanted until 11pm. Load was not ready. Lost the whole day and when called the broker she told us we went there late and refusing to send Layover for losing a day. Be careful if you are booking a load with their IL office.

Very professional staff that are available 24/7/365. When it comes to loads there is no better company when it comes to tracking, verification and authenticity.

I picked up a load from them, they wrote wrong address of shipper on the load confirmation. My truck was at that location and called Megellan to inform, After hour dispatcher told us that they will pay for lay over, wait for tomorrow morning dispatcher to fix the issue. I called early morning and spoke with dispatcher and he sent the correct address on my cell phone. I went to that second place and picked up the load. I kept on asking them to send me new confirmation with detention but they never did. I delivered the load and sent Invoice asking for layover but they been dishonest and kept saying, they never got a phone call from us. I said, they can check my phone bill- I called after hour dispatcher and so sit their as been told. They denied to pay. Please use other companies if have choices, Chad (Manager) and Sidney Shrilling (dispatcher) are not professional and very dishonest. I believe in "KARMA". Please do not pick their load and do not do any business with them.

We just want to say "Thank you!" to Magellan Transport and especially to Mallory K. who worked with us on a load. Magellan is a great broker to work with. They gave us a great rate to move their load. But as things sometimes happen, we were late on our Monday morning delivery on December 3rd, 2018. They automatically deducted late charges on our rate, because their client's load was very time-sensitive. We explained that the late delivery was independent of our own will and that we were just a small mom-and-pop company that was trying to establish a relationship with brokers. While others at Magellan remained adamant about deducting the late fee, Mallory was moved with compassion towards us. She had been helping us for 2 days, trying to solve the issue of late fees. She was understanding, compassionate and very human. After 24 hours, Mallory managed to cancel the late fees as a one-time courtesy, but she advise us that next time we needed to communicate better and faster with them. We definitely recommend any carrier to work with them, especially with Mallory K. Merry Christmas to you all :-)

Worst company to deal with, our driver was there and did not get the dock, but they deducted money, when we called, Adam didn't care and said, you can do what ever u like, we r not paying you.

You want to get a pump to stay in shape (dad bod or whatever you re working with) in a private gym with a personal trainer? Get 1st or last in a foosball, air hockey, pool or dart tournament? TV s galore on every wall blasting 80 s Van Halen (Not Hagar) or whatever music you re into. If this sounds like the ideal workplace environment and company, its because that s exactly what I m talking about. Oh yea, and its 24/7 response time service of highly skilled Logistic Veteran s is always on point!

Scammers... Be ware.. We did a load for them on 12/26/2015 from Redlands, CA day after Christmas. Driver was held at the shipper for 5 hrs also when delivering to Hemriston, OR was also held for 5:29 hrs. Our driver communicated with their dispatch and I emailed Bryan Read in their office. He thanked me and said he'll take care of detention once the load delivers. Once we send them the bills with times in and out for both shipper and consignee scum bags paid is $50 total detention. We billed $183 dollars. Ripping off the good old trucker the guy that ran over holidays they screwed us at the end... We'll eat the $113 but we will not do any business with them again. STAY AWAY...

I have been in this business for years but haven't have a situation like one today. If they promise you TONU, you will not get one i can tell you that.

Do not book loads with Antonio Clark or Scott Chaney, They do not pay detention after the load is done, actually they will just ignore your emails or phone calls and will give you lame excuse that they are way too busy or accounting is processing and they dont know why they take so much...

To clarify i did followed all steps that were written on the Rate con so you can be eligible for detention.

- On time for delivery
- Notify Magellan before the driver gets in to detention
- Send IN/OUT times

Overall bad business, avoid by all means

Booked load 3 pm went to shipper just to find out it was suppose to pick up at noon....Shipper hold us until 8 pm ..Told Magellan we cant del 9:30 as we were hold at shipper , they said ok not a problem ....At receiver we got at noon went out 9 pm. Lost day , called and emailed Magellan over 20 times not even respond on email. Requested detention after delivery they refused to pay it even with in and out times on BOL.

Horrible rates, on top of that charged 250 for late delivery after they gave us approval to redeliver next day , due to truck break down.

Bad bad bad in one load got stuck 12 hours at shipper 48 hours at receiver in between 2 times internet went down they went ghost mode for the most critical hours first time when I asked for detention at the shipper and the second time when we were asking for appoitment for delivery

They have a guy named Antonio working there.. I have no clue what that guys deal is but u can t even talk to him.. I asked him the first time if that s the best he can do on the rate and he hangs up then I cal back ask him why he hung up tells me that s the best and hangs up again.. like damn man.. lose the attitude

When you first take the tour of Magellan you're instantly blown away by the atmosphere (This Is NOT your typical office space), SMILING FACES & the random "Hey's and "Hello's." Once you're in the door, you're "Magellan Fam." The owners truly care about the people they hire and maintaining the morale of the workplace. Here you're not just a number but an important piece of a well oiled machine. From food- to an open door office to just vent they're here to make life a little easier. We have an "amenity zone" which offers us a space to take lunch and play a game. You watch TV?, we have those EVERYWHERE (even the bathroom). Want to workout? DO IT with our personal trainer. Do whatever you need to balance the work day stress all while you're still at work.

Driver was at the receiver from 16:15 PM and got out at 21:50 PM.
Broker name: William Pardee is not willing to pay detention.
Receiving hours are 16:00 PM - 20:00 PM
William Pardee is telling me detention starts counting from 22:00 PM at this point...
Rate confirmation clearly says:
Detention is FREE for the first 2 hours, then $25 an hour after that with a MAX of $150.

This is the absolute nonsense I ever heard that detention starts counting after receiving hours!

I have been working here for almost two months and Magellan is a great company. I had no prior experience in the logistics industry upon graduating ,and they gave me an opportunity to apply what I have been learning in the classroom to real word experience! LTL team is amazing!

I was detained at a shipper doing a load for them. 17.5 hours, no bathroom at all. They paid $150 for "layover ". I WAS DETAINED!!! These guys are CROOKS!!

We booked a load on Friday December 4th 2015 going from La Vergne, TN to Sunrise, FL. We had a pick up appointment for next day Saturday December 5th at 11 am. We checked in that day by 10:30 am. We were told load is ready and to back up to a door. After 10 hours we were still not loaded. We were told to come back next day Sunday to pick up the loaded trailer. We came back next day and trailer was empty and no one was there. Broker refuses to pay TONU because their explanation is that no one told us to leave. We left on our own. We lost 2 days! Business ethics is something that this company lacks. TONU was going to be given to the driver since he stayed 2 days in a parking lot waiting to get loaded. Arrogant and disrespectful is how I would describe them. Terrible addition to the trucking industry!

I have worked for Magellan for over 2 years now and It has been an absolute blast to call everyone here family. The way our leadership and ownership takes care of the employees is absolutely second to none. I knew working for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Company would have it's perks but the enthusiasm and positive leadership Magellan has is wonderful. We are moving into a 50k sq ft facility in Jacksonville with a warehouse and will be offering employees an even better environment to work. Working at a company where you get to see ownership and of course Mia the Magellan mascot is absolutely something that sets us a part from anyone else. I could go on for a long time about benefits and my gratitude for Magellan. We do things the right way and in a tough industry it is great being apart of a company that offers transparency, honesty, diversity and positive growth. Wow, tremendous is an understatement. My experience with Magellan was perfect, and everything I could have wanted.

Their shipper laded us with 50k. TRK had to be reloaded at a weight station, Magellan wanted us to pay for all expanses-Insane. They completely refused to assist us with issue, take any responsibility and after the load was completed they stopped using us.
what do you really expect when you hire a bunch of children with gender studies degrees.

Their employees don't like working, they are also incredibly rude. Hilarious how so many of the 5 star reviews are from accounts that are recently made and have only reviewed magellan transport and nothing else (obvious fake reviews).

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Magellan's customer service is among the best ive encountered in the logistics industry. When there is an issue, their team works hard to resolve it, instead of pushing you off to a different department, and giving you the run-around. I highly recommend this company to all businesses needing freight moved, and to all carrier's, small or large, that are seeking an asset-light transportation company to partner with. Also, working with a service-disabled veteran owner company is always a better choice over these big fleet corporations. Choose Magellan! You wont regret it!

consider twice before booking with this company. kept my truck 11 hrs and paid hardly nothing for wasting drivers time.

O/O stay away from this company. I accepted a load that they new was already late but fail to inform me. Arrived to shipper on time got to receiver and they refused due to late delivery. Load only went 20 miles this was at 9:30am I returned the load and finally shipper took pallets back off at 6:30pm. The load was $300 broker gave a $150 extra. What is that for a truck being detained a whole day. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

As much as I would like to work with those guys the answer is NO. I did few loads with them with pretty good experience until today when all of a sudden at 8am I am being taken off the load because my driver ETA seemed to late. I booked the load in advance, told about possible trucks that we may put on this load, and with all the hustle of providing driver phone, truck VIN numbers, you are still being taken off BECAUSE. We are very reliable carrier that put utmost care for doing business with brokers and our rating is excellent but MAGELLAN is not that kind of brokerage you can rely on. I wish I could give ZERO STARS>

Great company, loved the atmosphere when I was there

We booked a load with David King in the morning for a pick up in the evening. Waited all day for that pick up. When our driver did check in at the shipper in Mt.Crawford, VA, he's been told that he has a wrong pick up number. We called to the broker and our driver spent 12 hours at the shipper waiting to get a correct pick up number. And we didn't get it. And David didn't pay TONU. Our driver spent all day waiting for an evening pick up and 12 hours at the shipper with a wrong pick up number. Also, David is a rude broker too. Our driver tried to called him and asked him to pay for his waiting time and David just hung up the telephone. Be aware to have a business with them. They are a cheating brokers company.
