I went to Macys to finish my Christmas shopping, it was after 10PM when I arrived. The store was closing at 2AM. It was amazing, all the crowds were gone and the employees were super helpful. The guy at the Hugo Boss fragrance counter was so helpful in picking out a scent for my beau, I'll invite him to the wedding.

When I am in Manhattan I love to walk around Macy's. It's an experience for sure. One of my favorite things to see are the old escalators. They are a sight to see.

Great plave to go shopping. Prices can be higher than othet stores but, its an iconic department store in NYC, the employees are very nice even in the holiday season where things can get a bit hectic.
Such a historic building. I loved the wooden escalators and all 9 floors! There were lots of people on the lower floors, but the upper ones were very nice.

Love Herald Square, but they need more open cash registers during lunch hours.
Needs a better and wider selections of kids wear and update the collections

Huge shopping mall with luxurious brands. You are highly welcomed by perfumes's presenters on the ground floor.
On higher floors you can fing clothes, shoes, bags and whatever you need.

I went to look for my daughter a prom dress. They had a great variety in the basement and I used my discount points.
Nothing like a classic! Escalators from days gone by. Floors and floors of upscale goods evokes days of post industrial retail glory. Even if you don't buy, there's some Norman Rockwell in these halls.
because this where the mecca of boxing is located Madison Square Garden and there are many other places that can be visited while on 7th ave and 34th street great place to kill time and get to know people.
A true NY experience. Had lunch and spent 4 hours shopping. Lunch took a long time.
Went on black Friday, so it was crowded and one or two items were only slightly overpriced instead of very overpriced. I'm a shopping online kinda guy though, so grain of salt on that.

the original macys. it was more like a mall than one store, like 4-5 floors. awesome...be ready to spend at least $250-300 for one decent outfit and shoes. seriously
If visiting New York, you have to pop into Macys. If you manage to visit during sale season, you'll pick up a nice bargain. Love it.

It's an amazing mall inside one store with 8 levels! Everything you need at your fingertips and a delight to visit at the holidays with its elaborate window displays, Santa's workshop and decorations galore! A MUST see during Christmas season!!

I was at the Macy's Parade this passed year. It was so cold that whole week. Macy's was very festive for the Christmas season. It was beautiful. Lot's of people in New York. Have Fun!

I really enjoyed Macy's. Floors and floors of products and great deals. As I was a tourist I grabbed my 10% off card.
It is a bit of a maze but I think it would be pretty hard to get lost. Just remember what franchises you have passed and you'll keep right. I actually wanted to look around a lot more but my company wanted to head off.
I bought quite a few things so was happy.
Shopping haven particularly for women. A huge store with almost everything you can think of. One of the larger stores in the area with prices ranging widely between reasonably cheap to unreasonably expense, so take a thorough look before you buy.

You have to go to Macy's when visiting New York. It's not all about the shopping but the experience in itself. Beautiful! 9 floors. It's like a mall inside. Michael Kors, Calvin Klein and many, many more high end clothing to choose from but also affordable styles. Even my husband enjoyed visiting Macy's.

Holiday decorations were dazzling, inside even more than out. Great sales everywhere and extremely friendly staff. It was a mob scene, being a Saturday in September, but an enjoyable visit none the less.
I don t like that it is not a space for people, no place to sit down, no place to breastfeed my baby... just shops.
The annual spring flower show at Macy's is not to be missed... it is unbelievably beautiful... I cannot imagine the work that goes into this... thank you Macy's...
Nice shopping area with the flagship Macy's store. A variety of others stores in areas as well including Sunglass Hut, H&M, Zara, and Aldo's. Nice area to walk around.

Be prepared to spend some time in here. Very large Macy's that has everything you can think of. Would recommend if you like Macy's as this one is 3-4x the size of a normal store. A+++ customer service as well. Staff very friendly and helpful!!!!
I haven't visited HS in over five years and the post construction store is stunning, glamorous and amazing. The shoe dept an entire half block, the active floor moved from the basement to 4 is awesome. Every brand you covet is here, Gucci and more. Spend a couple of hours it will be worth it.
Beautiful during Christmas time when we went. Tons of floors and food options. You would have to cope with tourist just enjoying the sights during Christmas if you're shopping, but that's a part of the experience. Great buys and a men's store! An enjoyable experience.

Macy's 34 has changed. I'm suprised every time I go. Anyways, it's still one of the largest department stores you will visit in this life but damn, it can be overwhelming at times.

OMG! What a nightmare. Everyone is just looking for the bathrooms, which are hidden in the back corners.
Perhaps the original department store, however, far from the best. Looks like it's become more a tourist attraction than an actual useful place to shop. Some will hate, some will live and I'm just meh.
Well, you know what it is. Now, it's starting to get rough around the edges. It's clean most places, but not others. There is disorganization everywhere. It's not much better than a Macy's in Atlanta. Not sure how because the prices are insane, as you can imagine. Maybe that's why they're having trouble staying afloat.
