Mac & Nadas NYC Review

If maybe not the best Mac and Cheese in the city (it's a close call, tho) it is certainly the most creative and interesting. I have yet to be disappointed after several visits.

This is the place to go if you enjoy mac and cheese! There are so many scrumptious flavor options and you can also create your own. They are a bit pricey, but I feel it s worth it because each dish is made to order and using fresh ingredients. There are different ordering sizes and when dining in, your order arrives hot out of the oven, in a cast iron skillet. There is also salad, fresh baked cookies and assorted sodas as well. You can also order To Go meals either hot ready made or frozen with heating at home instructions provided. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the restaurant has a clean dining area of tables & chairs. There s a unisex bathroom provided and music plays from a speaker in the dining area. For those customers visiting from out of town, they offer S Mac delivery online to your home by Fedex.

This place is great. We had very good Mac'n'Cheese. They offer a version where you can try 8 diffrent kind. I would order that again, especially is its your first visit!

Pretty good vegan gluten free mac just needed a lot of help with seasoning. Some salt and pepper goes a long way. Still great creaminess and texture

It s good but didn t deliver as well as I thought it would, I expected more. Good thing about it is that the prices are good for the amount of food they serve. The wait for the food is not that long considering that they make it to order. The location could be cleaner. There is very little seating and some tables are too close to each other.

Great as always-the staff used to be friendlier, but I am an introvert so I do not mind. Food was as great as it used to be at their older, nearby location. Not as busy compared to back then. On the bright side, less waiting time for my meal to be served.

Just as delicious as the first day the opened years ago. Came back to the area to visit during pandemic and was so happy to see it open and busy. I get the Alpine. Gruyere and slab bacon. It's the best!! I've tried all of them which are all fabulous but this is just decadent and gourmet. I get there major munch size skillet

Sampler platter was amazing. So many flavors in one.

So good!!!!!! Def some of the best Mac and cheese I ve ever had. Had the Philly cheesesteak Mac, and my girl had the gluten free mac build your own and couldn t tell it was gluten free. Bomb.

This is the best Mac and cheese off all time. I order the medium size all the time and split it for two meals.

I had read online about this place. When we got there I was a little shocked .... It does NOT look like. It is very dated, there was old yellow light the floor tiles were broken. BUT .... the Mac n Cheese was really delicious !!! Glad we decided to go inside anyway :-)

Is no more the place it used to be... It was so dirty that it looked like a dinning room for homeless, the staff without attitude, like if they were all sick. The atmosphere was like eating in a farm, many, many, many flyes everywhere, the smell in the air was disgusting, the tables dirty and greasy, my silverware dirty from the previous customer... The only thing good was the flavor, still tasting good but not like before, hope you improve or will loose your clients...

I LOVE THE MAC AND CHEESE HERE. The only problem is the frequently slow and unreliable service.

Food looks delicious but after 40 minutes still haven't gotten our food and customers who ordered 10, even 20 minutes after us have. When we asked the employee all she said wss that it was in the oven. Shame really, as we were really excited to try it but talk about a let down.

The noodles were soft in much the same way that I was not. Valhalla of Cheese.

As a mac and cheese lover, this was one of the best meals i've had!! I had the cheeseburger mac and cheese and it was more than amazing! I can assure you every single dish is well worth the price and I will definitely be ordering from them soon!

The Mac and cheese is amazing here. The only negative thing is the wait time but it's totally worth it.

When I am eating S'Mac's mac and cheese I dont even remember that I am gluten free. It is soul food. Eating their gluten free Thanksgiving Mac and Cheese is a food memory I will take with me to my grave. The juicy turkey, the stuffing, the cheese, the pasta and the cranberry sauce all in one a dish. Evoking the mere memory of eating that specialty Mac has set off a Pavlovian effect. If you havent eaten at Smac yet, you havent lived.

Ive been here a few times, and I always enjoyed the food. With that being said, my last experience here was less than up to par. Three different cashiers began and abruptly stopped taking our order, because of some fuss behind the counter, which after we ordered we were told, by cashier number 1, that there was "a huge cockaroach" behind the counter. I saw it, and it was indeed huge. But don't tell your guests that. EVER. We live in nyc, we see cockaroaches walking down the sidewalk frequently enough that its not a surprise when a restaurant who has french doors which spill the dining room into the street has the occasional unwelcome bug. BUT jesus christ, do not tell your customers about it as they are waiting for their food. Three stars, because the foods actually great.... and I've never seen a roach in my mac.

My favorite thing about S'mac is that it offers a gluten-free option great for those with wheat allergies. It can be crowded, but there's usually a fast turnaround. Plus, there's wine and gluten-free beer to wash down the (somewhat heavy) mac 'n' cheese. But definitely stop by when you just have that need for childhood comfort food.

Absolutely LOVED the Mac and Cheese from here. The Philly Cheesesteak & the Alpine is must have. I have to come back and try some more.

The best is to take yours cold to go and heat it up at home! Even the vegan version is delicious, though it's hard to mess up anything smothered in melted cheesiness. The big party size tray is great for bbqs and potlucks.

Amazing as a restaurant. It looks like a fast food but we ate there only macaroni of different sizes. The meals are generous and the recipes excellent!

the cast iron pans the mac and cheese is served in made me think this place was gimmicky at first, but they are serving up real deal "Damn that's good" M&C cheese here. The space can prove to be a bit tight but they get your order to you as fast as they can considering it's broiled to order. Serving Sizes for every hunger level and pocket size. worth the walk to...

Delicious mac n cheese at S'MAC! It comes out piping hot in a skillet if you dine in. Lots of tables to sit at, plus convenient outlets to charge your phone if you need it while you wait for you dinner to cool.

Horrible Experience!!! Waited 45+ minutes, AFTER ordering, with children, before being told that we had to pay BEFORE they started the order, even though there was NO CASHIER to pay and we were never instructed to pay during the ordering process.

OMG! If you are a Mac n cheese lover Sarita s or S Mac is the place for you. My personal is the Masala dish. It s a nice small restaurant in the east village and it s usually crowded. However the wait you will not be disappointed.

Was better than I expected. It was a new food adventure for me and my cousin.

Low rent but wonderful food. Only here in NYC can a business thrive with one item on the menu. Macaroni & Cheese. But not just Mac&Cheese, Theres all kinds of Mac & cheese. It's a carb & protein dream! It gets packed on weekends, but I always manage to find a seat. Recommended.

Amazing Mac and Cheese and everything gluten free aswell!

Really tasty cheeses but very small noodles. Might just be a personal preference, but I think bigger noodles make for a better Mac. From the sampler, though, my favorite had to be the Cajun, followed by four cheese and all American. Reasonable prices and a decent amount of seating for a pick up type of place. Lots of options, too. Does the job, but wasn't anything to write home about.

Amazing Mac 'N Cheese, Im eating the buffalo chicken as I write this, best decision I've ever made. This place is my new go-to when I'm in the city.

I love smack their sauces are amazing, not the first time or the last time I will ever say it why they only got four stars they need to rethink their selection of pasta. It tastes like mashed up baby food they really need to rethink the pasta that use don't keep the recipe for the sauce just yell got to get rid of that nasty pasta

A typical Mac & Cheese restaurant in South Manhattan. The prices are correct, the dishes are good and hearty. The restaurant is equipped with a system of terminals to order yourself the dish that makes you happy. The best is nice even if the tables of 2 people are a little narrow. A good place for lovers of Mac & Cheese or for those who wish to discover this dish.

A twist on the comfort food that makes it more robust and extremely filling, S'mac offers a pretty extensive menu on the good old mac and cheese with even the option to create your own flavors. Came here with a couple of friends and we all ordered a different dish. I ordered the Parisienne Major Munch which included brie, figs, roasted shiitake mushrooms and fresh rosemary. Awesome ingredients that made my mac and cheese instantly fancy. Mine was the best out of the table hands down but the others weren't bad either. This location is a bit on the smaller side but a no frills spot where you can enjoy a pretty simple but tasty meal.

Quaint and good vibes

Very welcoming place with fantastic windows overlooking the avenue. You order via tablet at the counter. The boy is brisk but very willing to help and provide explanations. Water available from the dispenser. You take the flag number, you sit where you want and when your macs are ready they are brought to the table served simmering in a hot cast iron pan. The major munch is hearty and filling. I am not saying that they are the best ever but they are still very good and the place and the presentation make everything very characteristic.

If you Love macaroni n' cheese, S'mac is the place for you. Each time I go, I'm never disappointed. My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken munch with a Black Cherry Stewarts soda. They have cookies too.

Im a lover of goods cheesy mac and I got exactly what I wanted!! I got the one with mushrooms and fig... It Was SOOO GOOD. I am VERY eager to go back and try the others. Highly recommended!!

Love the food but this Smacs is always too small and packed with people. I'd rather go to the other locations that have more room.

The food here is delicious but definetly not a dine in spot. The staff is really loud and obnoxious, consuming alcoholic beverages on duty. The music is extremely loud and distasteful. HIGHLY CONSIDER TAKE OUT.

Delicious! I had a vegan & gluten-free option & was super excited to get to have mac'n'cheese for a change!

Surprisingly filling and delicious! Some of the flavors in the sampler weren't quite to my liking but overall it's still worth the trip to the Lower East Side!

My favorites on the menu are the La Mancha, Alpine, the Napoletana, and one called the Parisienne. But if those don't have you drooling (read the menu for more details) then there are plenty of other dishes on the menu!

And there are nearby dessert places for something sweet to follow this savory meal! So, when walking around the area you've got a lot of options!

This mac and cheese redefines mac and cheese. I actually wasn t a huge fan of crunchy, crispy baked mac and cheese until I came here the first time about 10 years ago. And now that s all I ever want.

You have to really like Mac and cheese. The smell when you walk in is overwhelming and not really in a good way. But don't let it fool you, that's some bomb Mac and cheese. Portions are huge so bring a friend.
