Luxor and Excalibur Hotel and Casino Review

Room was clean, I loved the Egyptian theme of the hotel. Easy access to the strip. My only complaint would be the horrible lighting for the women that want to do their makeup, literally had to play musical chairs trying to find the right lighting to actually see to do my makeup which you can t even see. Also no coffee machine, no microwave, and no fridge. The Tender steakhouse was amazing, and the Backstage deli had good food for a reasonable price.

Super busy place. Huge line up at front desk. The pyramid has very slow elevators, takes forever. The elevator moves at am angle you can feel it but can't see it. The tower is not more quieter. The start bucks in the main level is very busy and charged us for water bit rude too. The upper food court is really nice and the Starbucks there is really nice. They do hold the luggage usually very busy in the morning to drop the luggage but afternoon is not busy. They have Uber everywhere don't take cab. Overall good place to stay.

I have fun in the casino and the buffet is good. However the rooms have gone downhill in the last 3 years. When we spoke to the lady at the front desk we were told "the hotel is 30 years old what were you expecting " But if your looking for a cheap hotel with lots of things to do it fine

Really enjoyed our stay at the Luxor. We were in the Pyramid rooms. I was surprised there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. It can get quite expensive having to buy these all the time. Food hall is good. Bodies exhibition is worth a visit. Buffet has lots of choices. We also went to The Mind Freak show which was ok but not great. Lots to see and do in Vegas.

Booking issues. Was lead to believe a better room was being provided. Then offered upgraded after upgrade to get to where we thought we had booked to begin with. But the room was nice and atmosphere good for 3 stars!!

DARK AND DULL. Scary even. It s old. Needs renovations. You re better off staying at Motel 6. I regret making a reservation here. Hotel staff is pretty nice, but It s so dated.

Upscale and clean hotel and casino. Wait staff were attentive and kind. Room was cleaned/stocked multiple times over the course of our stay. Plenty of shows(venues), bars and restaurants. Easily accessible from Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. I would definitely enjoy staying here again my next time in Vegas!

They take out a hidden deposit fee then take forever to send them back in your card or don t send it back at all !!!

Outdated rooms , horrible whem comes to cleaning rooms anf cuatomer service. Stay anywhere else

I stayed 2 nights. Would i stay here again no. The windows were dirty you could see hand prints on them. The corner lamp was dusty. The shower had dry water marks. I did find a hair in one of the hand towels. This hotel needs a major upgrade. The floor was unpleasant. Its very noisy you can hear ppl out in the hall loud as of they were inside. My stay was okay. But i wouldnt go back to stay. I would only enjoy the casino side.

Went here to see the Blue Man Group and it was the most awesome show I have ever seen. Plenty of laughs and fun for all!

The rooms are very overpriced, we walked in thinking how good everything looks from the lobby to the casino it was all good until we went up to our rooms. I kid you not it looks like a cheap motel, we got a suite and 2 other rooms and on top of the already overpriced rooms they make you pay a $50 security deposit PER NIGHT, PER ROOM. It was an extra $200 since we stayed for 4 days. I wish they said something about this before payment. And upon arriving to our rooms I was so confused about the security deposit because as stated above, the rooms literally look like a cheap motel. I had a wonderful time in Las Vegas with my family but was very disappointed by this hotel, they also have a 24hr place in the lobby to by sandwiches, snacks and etc. we got 5 sandwiches, 4 drinks, 2 packs of pickles and 2 yogurts which all came up to $100. The sandwiches were gas station quality, the ones you het from the fridge and they were already stale amd should've been thrown out but the expiration date was a whole 5 days away and they probably already had it there for a week. And they purposely don't have price tags on anything so you won't know the cost of these items until check-out.

From outside it's this amazing black pyramid. From the inside it's an architectural marvel that almost doesnt make sense. Plus a wide variety of activities and shops. Going in and checking it out is well worth your time

Food was delicious! Trying to stay with a keto lifestyle while in Vegas is a challenge but they are very accommodating at Diablo's. I typically order chicken fajitas and just hold the beans, rice and tortillas with no sub offered but our waiter tonight offered to replace those items with a side salad which was so good. The red and green salsas were delicious as well. It was very pricey but a great meal none the less.

No coffee maker, no fridge, no microwave, no fresh air, slow elevator, hasn't been updated in forever, this place used to be cool, now it's just, ok. Bed was comfy, quieter than I expected, check in line was super long but went fast-ish, and the employees were super nice. Where is the ice machine??

This hotel is great. My friends and I enjoyed our stay. The few things we wished were a bit better, cell service in our room (we didn't have great reception), there was a table that had broken legs in our room and the couch was not the most comfortable to sit on. We loved that the hotel was attached to Mandalay Bay which was great for shopping and restaurants. Our elevator was always fast, our room was super quite and the Pyramid Cafe had fabulous breakfast options. We also liked the 24 hour cafe, decent food for decent prices.

This place is HAUNTED!! I loved it though. Would make a GREAT mystery movie stag. Great place for a couples get away. Very clean and the maid's were so polite. Great food and the price was outstanding.

Great time even though it wasn't as packed like before this pandemic hit

Great hotel. Stayed in the West Tower. The room and tower are renovated in a really nice chic decor. There was no smoke scent anywhere in the West Tower. Loved the room and great view of the mountains. Could have better shopping. But I would stay here again.

Hard to beat a hotel room that has so many services basically just outside.

I LOVE THE LEX. GOOD PLACE , EXCEPT FOR RESORT FEES. YOU PAY THEM AND GET NOTHING IN RETURN. GOOD LOCATION. FOOD IS 500% MARKUP. PAY TO PARK IS RIP OFF. NICKEL AND DIME YOU TOO DEATH. NO MORE LAS VEGAS,,, NOW ITS A CARNIVAL.

Do yourself a favor and stay here for a few nights. Maybe even a week if you can. Loved everything about the Luxor.

Got the premium room in the pyramid. Great pillows, slept very well.never been in an elevator that moved at an angle. Reminded me of the Wonkavader. Staff was very helpful, and gave me some useful tips for getting around. I was surprised that our room didn't come with a fridge, microwave, or coffee maker.
Will stay here again though.

It was awesome to go in there... But oooohh no way for a pack of cigarettes... $15 a pack.

My room was located in East Tower and it was very quiet and comfortable. Check in process was a little pain. Not automated like Park MGM and guests were always waiting in line even after midnight in weekends.

I always love this place.... I'm lucky to have the host, Sally Rodriguez. She is by far the best and most thoughtful host you can ever hope for.

Haven't stayed in the towers because I always wanted to stay inside the pyramid! The views from those rooms are super sweet especially in the inside the pyramid. One note, get a room close to the only elevator on your floor if you book More

Parking is 10$ a day for guest. Hotel is good. Best thing is unlimited buffet for whole day in 50$ per person.

I've stayed at the Luxor many times and enjoyed every visit! The rooms are great, the casino is great, the spa and gym are great, and has several nice pools connected together. I always got the best comps here for free rooms and great deals on my stays. Highly Recommend!

The hotel is nice, but had an unpleasant experience with the staff. On one of the days, our room was not cleaned even though we made sure that our do not disturb sign was not on the door handle. We understood that the housekeeper may have simply forgot, but since we needed towels we called the front desk and the lady who answered was not helpful and gave us a rude tone. She was implying that she could not help us with why our room was not cleaned, and was essentially not providing any good customer service. Really unfortunate for the price we paid for this hotel, will not be staying here in the future because of this awful experience with this worker.

It's actually really nice, love the view, I was on floor 13, super cool. Really wish they had a mini fridge in the hotel. And they charge resort fees

Luxor was great. Good location, friendly staff, and plenty going on. Loved it.

Great casino, I may have lost some money but j definitely gained some fun and experience there. The staff was nice and helpful with my needs. The service was awesome with drinks. I would definitely come back.

Loved it overall. Great comps on the room after playing and earning points in the casino. Only thing was that our room was pretty outdated and they had a fan that seemed to be trying to fix a water issue outside in our hall the whole time we were there. Loved the game selection and the staff was great minus the ones gossiping in the 24/7 store complaining about a coworkers body oder... not cool when there are hotel guest right next to you.

Stayed 4 nights with a group. Check in was great, the room we reserved had a great view. The second day we had an ant problem. We called down and had to move rooms at 3 am or nothing would be done about the ant issue. We were told they would rectify the problem and we would be able to move back to the room the next day. We got a call that the room was ready for us to move back into. When we got back my husband went to get the key for the room and was informed the room had been given to someone else. It was a 2 room suite so our room was attached with an adjoining door. The room to the suite was still open so the people who checked into the room had full access to our friend suite. The majority of the staff was very apologetic however, the management didnt seem too worried about the problem. We spent a good part of our vacation moving rooms and talking to the front desk. We stayed here last year as well and had a great time.

Great place to visit. The casino is on the bottom floor and it is nice because it separates the casino from the other actives on the second floor. I did not like that I kept getting asked over and over if I already had a hotel, that did get pretty annoying. However, the facility if beautiful and it always fun to stop in.

top value hotel at the south end of the Strip. Second time staying here and loved every minute. Huge place, nice big bedroom and was very clean

So as much as I would love to give them a five star review. It took us an hour to find our room due to poor guidance to it. We had to change rooms twice, one room the shower flooded from the tub and the second the ac worked poorly. The staff were friendly and gave us no trouble when changing rooms and the views were stunning from our window.

A really elegant place to go for a meal. Nice views as long as you get the right window seats. Just pricey.

This is my first time staying at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada and I love it! The rooms are a nice size, perfect for a family of 4 or 5. The hotel itself is located at the southern part if the strip so don't expect an amazing view as an average guest. If you are carrying with little ones, I suggest you book a room towards the lower floors because you can overlook the lobby from the hallways of the rooms; I'm on floor 21 and it's a long drop down. Room service is amazing, hands down.

The casino is good, the design and the decorations are awesome, highly recommend. Also the free tram to the Excalibur is very convenient and cool to ride.

I really loved the Luxor. Its older now but still was a lot of fun. We aren't even big gamblers. The gaming center seemed super cool(Huge video game area). The pool was fairly nice(I stayed in the hot tub the whole time though). It was a real cool view from our room too. The decor was fun: I loved the egyption theme. It had some nice restaurant and bar locations too. They also have some shows you can check out if you want to stay in the casino. It is on the end of the strip, but there is a free tram you can catch to get to the middle.

the service here is absolutely horrible! I called guest service and they took so long to answer! I called 5 times about the tv remote and they never brought it! they hanged up on me trying to call them!

Luxor is starting to a little bit older and dated in the rooms. The casino itself is great, but the rooms could use some updating. For instance, my HVAC unit was making a lot of noise. The Wardrobe was missing a knob. Carpet was getting old and dated. But the casinos modern so it kind of balances out. Check in with mobile is highly suggested because it will get you in and out quickly otherwise the line can take quite a long time. If you're looking to go to Vegas on a budget and stay on the Strip, the Luxor is a pretty good option.

It's a good resort that is different. Easy to get in and out of. Nothing special like it use to be. Miss the river running through it.

Ugh, walking through the smoky casino just to get to and from the room was awful. The room was excellent, but that was just an icky experience.

Overall disappointing. Old and many things didn t work. Elevators were a complete nightmare

Most things in this hotel are either broken or malfunctioning. Had to climb 20 floors of stairs to get to my room because the elevator was broken. Parking is no where near the entrances. Room was nice except for the badly covered whole in the mirror.

While nice and everything I feel like the walls on the floor could be a bit higher. Not very good lighting overall

Got here excited .. found out that a mini fridge, which is normally standard, cost $25 a night. Rooms just okay - get what you pay for

Epic resort. Would highly recommend this hotel for a Las Vegas trip. Bodies exhibition was eye opening!

Easy to get around with a monorail stop that takes you either direction to more attractions. The people were very friendly and the rooms were very clean and well kept. This is a great place to stay for the price. Also within a short distance to the new Radiers stadium.

A short stay but was enough to get a good lol at this hotel - quite impressive.
Great for kids - young and old.
A little further down on the stretch but still a great location to explore from.
In my opinion parking should be included in the stay.
Our room had been recently renovated so everything was working and modern. Funky building (architectural) inside and out.

Or room was very nice except our faced the roof top of the building next door AND had neither sunset or sunrise to make up for that. Was very clean. Staff everywhere are very helpful to the terminally lost.

Ps the pyramid elevators are a grey unique experience. Stand against the side or hold the rail, really.

It was a absolute pleasant stay at luxor. We have booked run of the house room. They provided us a suit to stay for one night. Thier decorations were totally majestic. Only thing that i didn't like is that they don't have any free parking and there was a long lineup during check in.

We got upgraded to the tower which was nice since it was newly renovated. However I was a little disappointed in the shower quality of something newly renovated. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and tidy overall.

It is located on the strip. The staff was very accommodating. My room had a very good view of the new stadium. And you can checkout through your tv.

Hated it. I know it's supposed to be a tomb, but the atmosphere was creepy. Too hard to navigate as well... like tomb

The physical structure of the pyramid is quite interesting. The elevators in the pyramid actually move sideways. We stayed in an East Tower room, which appeared to be recently remodeled. Nice, fresh, clean room. The room did not have a refrigerator, coffee maker, or a microwave. It is a long walk to get coffee in the morning. Since I drove to Vegas, I actually brought along my own small coffee maker and coffee.
As with most casino hotels, check in lines can be long.

Absolutely fantastic, the Luxor Hotel and Casino is a great place to spend a holiday in Las Vegas. We upgraded to a small suite facing the airport with floor to ceiling windows plus the extra space you get in a suite. There are so many restaurants here it's difficult to decide which one to choose. The reception area is massive with queuing but it did not take long to get registered. The Egyptian theme is everywhere making it all very interesting. The casino is always busy but we managed to get some free dollars as it was my birthday, didn't win but had a great time. It is situated towards the end of the strip meaning a long walk or the public transport buses which are very good.

The decor is showing it's age, but the hotel itself is still very iconic on the street. When I was here last they had a cool human bodies exhibit!

I love this place! This week was not good though. All said and done though 4 star this time. They could have done better I think.

I stayed in this hotel like 18 years ago and since then there was no renovation has been made, rooms are big,clean but it's very old, this hotels need an immediate renovation otherwise everything is still perfect

If you think you're a tall drink of water, stand inside the center of the Luxor and look straight up. This place is huge. Very unique construction idea. They have hung all their rooms outward. It really makes ya go, "huuuuh". It's centered between a couple other MGM properties. These people know what their doing when it comes to captivating entertainment. Lots of photo ops here especially at night. The tram is free and will take you along several casinos. Smart idea.

They had great decor and the hotel was reasonably priced. They have a great buffet located down stairs. Staff was kind and very helpful. Plan on staying her in the future.

This was one of the best stays we have had in Vegas. Great staff,new and old slot machines. Sanitation stations throughout. Outstanding job by all .
