I got acrylics thet came off not even a week later im def getting my fill somewhere elsewhere

Horrible my friend an I waited 35 mins until someone even came to the front. There was a line of 4. And the receptionist kept messing up with the people in line. I keep giving chances. Only great person there is Ashlyn!!

I ve been coming here for years. Never had any issues. Prices and variety of services are great.

The service is great! They make you laugh and feel comfortable. Great group! They do a nice job my nails always look GREAT!

I got a gel mani and it lasted only one week. I called to get it fixed and they said I d have to pay again! Receptionist was rude and treated me like a bother. I made an appointment and waited almost an hour!

Have been seeing Roz for over a year for my mani/pedis she is always consistent, on time, and does excellent work and goes out of her way to make sure her customers are satisfied. She is the utmost professional. Highly recommend Roz and Luv nails.

I got a gel manicure which cost almost 40 dollars and all of it came off in 5 days. I've been getting gel manicures for half this price that last 3-4 weeks. When I called to tell them how bad it was, they told me because I called on the 8th day they wouldn't redo it! I will never go back here again.

This is the second lackluster visit I've had at this place. The first time my French manicure chipped the same day. This time I just did a pedicure. Walked in at open and had to wait. And wait. Was left with scalding water for 5 minutes before anyone asked. I heard a worker criticizing someone for having too short of toe nails and how she didnt like them. I personally had to get my nails redone, the tech didnt like them. I now have red, inflamed and bloody cuticles. Hours later they still sting. I have Marks on my toenails where she filed them after the gel polish. Some ladies don't do a leg rub. I only went back here because I had a giftcard. The quality doesn't compare to my usual nail salon, pearl nails. Go some where else! Most Asian owned salons are way more thorough, precise and skilled.

Not much leg massage with pedicure, but nice otherwise.

Paying $70 to leave with a mani that looks like a child could have done it and an open wound is absurd. Incredibly sloppy job with rough edges because of poor filing before she started polishing, some nails not polished to the edges, and others with polish around the nail on the sides and tops of my fingers. What was really astounding was when the lady decided the best solution to get off some of the polish that wouldn't come off of my skin was to take her cuticle cutters to the top of my finger and literally cut off a chunk of skin...?! Really makes me wonder what kind of qualifications or training it takes to be or stay hired here.

Feb 2018 - The Rochester Luv Salon is awesome! Holly rocks my nails! I have been going here for over a year and find the staff to be very friendly and professional.
If you haven t been there treat yourself to some pampering in anticipation of spring!

I have been a client here for 3 years. The staff has always professional and courteous. It's unfortunate that other customers have had bad experiences. Did they bother speaking to a manager prior to posting a review?
I personally would not go anywhere else!

I had acrylic nails done here. The lady who did them took about 15 mins to do them. Should have taken her way longer. After a day or so of having them they were already breaking and coming off. For the price I paid I was pissed. Never going back to this salon ever. HORRABLE.

I booked a bridal party for manis here. I'll be honest - I almost didn't because of the reviews. But my friend said she goes all of the time and to trust her so I did. I was very pleased with my gel french manicure and so were the other bridesmaids. The bride was not happy with the lady that did hers. She had 1 messed up fingernail (her ring finger!) and we had to go back and get it fixed. When we went back, another woman fixed it for her and also touched up a couple of other nails that had gel underneath her nail. Another reason that I am only giving them 4 stars is because the customer service is a little off. The receptionists there aren't super friendly - which I think is the most important quality a receptionist should have. I'm hoping when I go back they are more friendly and I can write an updated review.

The conclusion that I have come to is that it depends on which nail technician you get. Maria gave me the best gel french manicure that i have ever had and it's lasted longer than any I've ever had. I strongly urge that you take these reviews with a grain of salt and try out LUV for yourself and make your own opinion. I'm glad that I did.

Let me just start by saying WOW! Miayah is the best nail tech I ve ever had! My nails are absolutely gorgeous, straight, The color is flawless, and she was so so sooo! Gentle. Her skills are impeccable as well as her attention to detail, to say the least I was very impressed the second she started working on my nails. I ll be coming back to her from now on, she s fabulous!

The receptionist is very nice and the building itself is nice. The woman who did my nails was nice but I could have done my nails the same at home. The quality was lacking. There's better nail places out there.

They are very friendly and do awesome nails. I always go for pedicures, they do an excellent job!

Very affordable in the Rochester area ($37 for a Classic mani/pedi) and both our sets looked good. Our technicians were very friendly, mine groomed my cuticles just a bit too far and my big toe was a little sore, but she did a great job of asking for my input and making sure I was happy with the finished product. Everything looked clean and calming.

We had 5 in our party for mani pedis. The staff was friendly, no complaints there. They got us in on our appointment time. The woman who did mine smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and kept cheering herself on very being excited about her work. She kept saying how she is finally getting good at this. I was about to be more accepting of the severely mediocre work thinking that she was new, but then she explained that she has been doing this for 4-5 years. I have been stressed over this weekend's events too much and didn't really have the fight to ask for a redo. I had paint on my fingers it was messy. It looked ok enough from afar so I just left it alone. My mother had a wonderful time. Her nails looked great, she had nice conversation. She was very pleased. My daughters were so happy and their nails looked great. Although, this morning my daughter woke up with the polish from her thumb completely off and stuck to her face. We had paid more for vinylux so this was shocking. My sister's nails look fine and she was satisfied with that part, but she was super annoyed. She is the pregnant one who really needed the pampering. When the woman doing her nails found out that she is a lawyer, she started telling all of her legal problems and asking for legal advice. So my sister was far from relaxed when all was said and done. All in all this was a very disappointing experience when we all really needed a time out to be pampered. Not worth over $300 at all.

Low quality work, luke warm water, not what I expected for the price.

Every time I come here I get great service and I love my nails.

I went in to get a french mani and pedi. No complaints until we got to the manicure which was gel.

The way she did the tip was rushed and you could see the white of my natural nail on the sides, as opposed to covering completely like it is supposed to (and having the scalloped look, which was also absent). Not to mention it was bubbled. I didn't want to say anything and be THAT customer but...it looked really bad. I went home and ended up having to fix it myself. $90 out and I feel extremely displeased...sorry, but I won't be coming back.

Have never gotten a quality pedi here. Always messy.

I have been going to LUV Rochester for 2 years now and every experience has been awesome. Gina did my first Gel Mani and it turned out awesome.

I can't believe all the bad reviews! The only issue I've ever had was a misunderstanding one time about wanting a pedi AND a mani. But otherwise, I've had no problems, and they've done quality work.

The are very rude and bad service I been there 2 times the did bad pedicure and manicure my advice to you girls don t go there the not worth it to spend even a dollar so bad service I talk to manager there I told her my nails bad she told me

I absolutely love Luv's. I have been going here for 2+ years. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is very friendly. They are extremely professional and offer a wide variety of services. Roz, Holly and Tiffany, as well as the rest of the staff are awesome! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I would LOVE to give 5 stars but...

My wife got me a gift card for my birthday and as I was in the neighborhood I called to see if they had any openings today.

The lady on the phone with so nice and kind PLUS they had an opening! I let her know I was about 10 miles away and they said we will see you when you get here!!!

Now when I arrived all that changed and I became very confused. The person at the desk, how she had asked me why am I there, did not match the person I talk to on the phone at all.

How she talked at me cause me to feel like I was not welcome at all... but I was not going to allow her or anyone else to steal my joy as this was a birthday gift and I was going to enjoy it!

Thank GOD I WAS MET BY TRACY!!! Her energy was inviting, funny and hilarious most of the time she was working on my. There was another lady that works there that would make Tracy laugh so hard, she would cry!! I loved it!!

I highly recommend this place! Also I learned that when a person purchases a gift card they cannot add a tip to it

My cousin and I went here to get my acrylics and pedis for my wedding done. My cousin and I had an appointment but when we got there they didn't have anyone available to do our nails. Then the woman who did my nails rushed through and did a really poor job. I was embarrassed to show my nails on my wedding day they were so poorly done! I did give an extra star because the woman who did my pedi was awesome! She was friendly, did a wonderful job, and even tried to clean up all the polish the acrylic lady left all over my skin. today I tried to get an appointment and was put on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up and called back. When I did get someone to talk to the girl gave me an appointment just to later in the call say she didn't have any time for me! Not worth the hassle for poor service like this!!?

HORRIBLY rude service, nails fell off very next day, called a few weeks later, was told i would receive a call back, never did, so i drove back out asking for compensation and was met with confrontation, hostility and absolutely no compromise from all managers. I am honestly baffled as to how this cheap, joint in still in business. if you want to try acrylics for a day check them out, because that's as long as they last! low quality, high prices, awful service sums this place up.

I have been to multiple Luv locations including this Rochester location several times and have had several positive experiences. This last time, not so much. Made an appt to come in for Hottsa lottsa (most expensive) mani-pedi. Reception staff was nice and got us checked in. Picked out polish colors (I picked 2 different ones). When the lady doing my nails came to get me she started telling me how ugly the other color was that I picked and I should pick a different one. :/
Pedicure felt kinda rushed, and I got a shellac mani insteadof regular polish (which was extra..). She started filing and shaping my nails while I was still getting the pedicure chair, which is fine but as she started pushing my cuticles back, she kept telling me how grown they were and I needed to moisturize and keep better care of them.... at one point 4 of my nail beds were bleeding!!! She kept asking me if she was hurting me and of course I said Yes!!!! She just kept saying I had terrible cuticles....She never soaked my hands in warm water, nor did she put any cuticle oil or lotion on my hands before she started JAMMING my cuticles down!!! OF COURSE THEY'RE GONNA BE DRY!!! It was so so painful. The rest of the manicure felt so rushed and like I did NOT get all that I paid for especially to pay extra and get a shallac manicure....not not happy....

I've gone in twice and each and every time they turn me away but say they "accept" walk-ins. Finally I made an appointment, and they didn't do the job I asked for with acrylic nails. Very disappointed and awful service.

The lady doing my nails was super nice but one of the staff there went around every 2 seconds to yell at everyone to hurry up cause she needed one of the tables for someone else. I got my nails done 5 days ago and they are already chipping a lot!

Luv s is wonderful! Clean, beautiful inside. Very comfy chairs to sit in. Tracie was wonderful. Quick & efficient!! Love her

Had a nice pedi with Gina. She is lovely to talk to talk to and the sugar scrub was great. I was surprised that with their highest pedi there is as no lotion or massage. That is my favorite part of a Pedi! This is the only reason for not giving a five star rating. Nice experience and environment.

I've been getting my manis and pedis at LUV since they opened and have recommended them to all of my friends. The luvicle is ingenious. I know they're using my own tools. I hesitate to give such a great review to my nail tech, Holly, for fear that I'll lose the ability to get in with her when I want, but the fact is, she is awesome. I've spent 3-4x more at expensive salons and spas for an inferior treatment. 5 stars

Front desk person is nice, but the tech is awful at her job. For the price they charged me for a generic mani and pedi, I could get a spa one at a Vietnamese place. No cuticle cleaning, bad polish, just horrible. I just threw $40 in the garbage. When checking out I asked if the tech was new, was told has been doing this few years. I will not be back. Don t know why they make it seem as if they are the greatest salon. SUCKS

Terrible service! If I could, I wouldn t give them any stars. The receptionist was very friendly, but the nail techs rushed through the whole service and did a very sloppy job. When trying to make polite conversation, one of our nail techs made rude and condescending remarks the whole time. At the end of our service, we were told we could sit in our chairs for awhile (as we waited for our botched nail polish to dry because they don t have any dryers) not even 5 minutes later one of our nail techs came over and and asked us to cash out so she could leave.. meaning she wanted her tip. Go to a different location or salon altogether. Not worth your time or money.

I came here the first time because I had a gift certificate. I came here the second and third time because it s a well run local business. There s no pressure to upsell here and the atmosphere is peaceful. If you want to get in I suggest you make an appointment. They fill up quickly.

In from out of town to get mani/pedi for a wedding and wouldn't recommend. Cut cuticles, then painted over them bleeding, and left polish on fingers from a shellac French. Then wanted to charge me $88.00 after 2 1/2 hours!

4 days after a manicure that did not last, I went back to show them the manicure did not last. The manager said Ok. That's it. Never tried to remedy the situation. I have been going for a year. They don't care if they lose clients.

Luv seems to be going down hill it was great years ago when it was newer but now they don t seem to give 2 ships ... I have tried to get a pedicure on a few different occasions the one in hall road seems to make their own hours so you can t depend on them went to this one today they advertise walkins welcome and that they re open till 8 I got there at 630 for a pedicure and the girl turned me away because they only had 3 girls left working she had sent the others home for the night don t advertise walkins welcome and that your open till 8 if you can t service until that time if I got there at 730 I would understand but 630?? I think I m giving up on luv completely I went to the other salon in the same plaza they close at 7 and still welcomed walkins up until that time don t waste your time and money going to luv anymore their business is going down hill they don t care about their customers or business

Had a fantastic time with everyone and was great time! I would definitely recommend them! They are fantastic with kids too and my daughter loves everything and everyone here!

The service has gone down over the last 18 months. I am here waiting for my pedicure and they are 40 minutes late and counting! Facilities not as clean as they once were. But staff still nice.

The initial experience was great. I was getting my nails done for my wedding. They had told me if ANYTHING had happened to the nails, they would fix them free of charge. I just so happened to get a lot of dye on them before the wedding and was going to call to have them fixed. They then told me that they do not fix them unless it is a chip. I was never told this to begin with. They said ANYTHING that happens. I would have to be charged again, full price if I wanted them fixed. I guess I'll have to go without anything on my nails for my wedding. Not pleased with them at all for with their service

My first visit there and I will never return. The lady at the front desk was nice but there is clearly a lack of communication between staff. I booked appointments for my daughter and her friends for her birthday and when we arrived we were rushed and the girls were treated poorly. Their nails looked awful, were only half painted and I was ignored by staff when I tried to thank them. When leaving I was being charged WAY too much for the quality of service I recieved. Working in customer service I would never treat children the way they were treated as if they just didnt matter and would give the adults much more appreciation of their business than we were all treated and given. Would not reccomend this place to anyone and would hope the owners would hire a staff that are nice and actually good at their jobs!!!!

I have been going to the same nail tech here for years. Wonderful service and she always manages to fit me in. I even bring my 80 year old father here for a pedicure and he loves it. Very friendly.

I just moved to Rochester Hills from Fishers, IN. I was leery about trying LUV because of the poor reviews. I called to see if I needed an appointment for a pedicure. The lady put me on hold for five minutes then hung up on me. I guess the reviews are true.

Overpriced. Only got nails polished, no manicure and was charged $36. Other salon would of been only $23.

I love this place! The staff is always so friendly and cheerful! The receptionist Tiffany is so pleasant and welcoming as soon as you walk in! The atmosphere is calming and easy to relax and enjoy your service! They also have such a wide choice in nail and gel polishes! Definitely a great experience!

I don't know why this salon has bad reviews. I've been here twice, the staff is accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be back. My nails look great!

My nails we done sloppy one of them was half painted, two of them have fuzz in them and they others started peeling off as soon as I left the building. They girl I had didn t know how to shape my nails at all. We spent 180$ and it is not at all worth it.

First time being there was not the best experience. My friend and I got pedicures done that day. My friend had a VERY friendly and nice worker named Angela. Unlike me, the worker I had was SUCH in a rush! And was not friendly at all and was very rude . I don't think I would EVER go there again. I would NOT... repeat would NOT ever recommend this place!!! They need more friendly workers like Angela!!! So unless they get better staff there I will NEVER go there again. So do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Hell any where else but here!

Got a shellac manicure that lasted less than a week so went back to have them fixed and she ended up redoing the entire thing then the very next day two of them peeled off again. Very disappointing, my sisyer and I came to get a mani/pedi together, we got right in! However the girl who did my nails had zero personality, she looked annoyed. My toe nails are already chipped( 3 days later). My sister still had cracked heals and my feet still have dead skin on them. My pedi was very fast she skipped steps that everyone else does. I would not recommend this place or go back. I rather pay $10 more at eco nails and have it done right.

I was given a gift card for a Lottsa Hottsa mani-pedi. I asked to have gel on my nails and was told it was a bit extra, which was fine. Upon checking out I was charged an additional $28! When I questioned why the high price just for adding gel (since a manicure was already in the gift card) the person at the checkout said 'I don't set the prices'. I was very happy with the girl doing my mani-pedi, but very disappointed in paying an additional $28 for gel on my fingernails.

I had Vicki do my pedicure today. She is friendly and nice. I loved how my legs and feet felt after. My toes look great too!

Ive never been here before, literally first time and it was 5:30 they closed at 6. I was refused service because I didn't have an appointment and the girls working with no clients were sent home at 5:30. So I was told basically if i'm not there within an hour before closing I wouldn't be seen since the girls go home are sent home then. The reception wasn't apologetic and was pretty rude, not one apology given. She just looked at me like I was lost and should've known better to come there. I just didn't feel very welcome, not once did she attempt to even get up to see if anyone had left, leaving someone available to do my pedicure. As I stood there waiting, customers were leaving and still she sat there, I honestly felt invisible. Worst customer service ever, all I wanted was someone to take the cramp out my feet and stress away. Id been putting off a pedicure for months and finally had time for one.. needless to say I won't ever return...

Worst shellac mani I have ever gotten. She didn t even use any tools to clean up the look of my nails, barely filed them. Every time she painted my nails she had to use shellac on the little brush to clean up her mistakes. Polish was super thick and running onto the skin next to my nail. Oh and my thumb polish peeled off on my drive home. Will be calling corporate for a refund. Never go to luv

Really worried after reading all of these reviews but I was still hopeful. Chose to go here because they could give me an appointment for 2 on a Sunday. Spa like atmosphere with waterfalls and dimmer lighting throughout. Kept both of us together throughout the mani/pedis. Even though it's not the best I've ever gotten, it's nice to be pampered for a little and get everything cleaned up. Girls who worked there were very friendly and easy to talk to. I will definitely go back!

I will start by pointing out that any business that tries to bribe their customers with a raffle for free services to give them better reviews on google is probably bad news. I had 2-3 techs that I enjoyed at this location, but the majority of the staff made me feel uncomfortable, and that's pretty laughable coming from a supposedly well-reputable "american" spa. The technicians trash-talk other employees and sometimes even others CUSTOMERS while they are working on their current clients which is both unprofessional and nauseating. Half of the massage chairs are broken, the pedicure bowls seem less than sanitary, and it's almost pointless to try booking an appointment because the odds of actually getting your nails done on time and within the amount of time estimated for the appointment is decently unlikely. I had an appointment a few months ago to get a basic pedicure done and they had me sitting in my chair for AN HOUR waiting for something that is supposed to take 20-30 minutes. The receptionist tried her best to keep me updated on when I would finally be gotten to but I was so irritated, I got up and left. The manager tried offering me a free service if I came back...but if I did go back who's to say I wouldn't just have another hour of my life wasted? The techs I preferred going to quit so there is no reason for me to return, it's a joke of an establishment.

Luv Rochester is the BEST! I drive about 30 minutes out of my way (and past two other Luv locations) to see Roz and have been for the last 7 years! She is AMAZING, detail oriented, and takes her time with each client. Not to mention she is wonderful at helping select polish colors that are in , and or in season that match your skin tone. Not only does she provide great nail services but her facials leave your skin glowing and she finds a way to make waxes as painless as possible! Congratulations Roz, on managing the store while providing such high quality services to your customers. Tip for those looking to schedule an appointment with Roz make sure to call in advance as Roz is ALWAYS booked!

They are ok with eyebrow waxing but my nail service here was horrible. Nail dryers are cold and had broken lights, chairs were uncomfortable and the pricing was crazy. Do not ask for any type of nail art, the woman I had could not do anything even though she said she could. She attempted a design (one I had done before somewhere else btw) 3 times before I asked her to just paint it the normal color.

They have on window walk in welcome but when I went in they told me to go home and they only have 2 people working. If your not taking walk ins turn off sing

Very rushed, mediocre job for a manicure, and I understand my pedicure was basic, but it was so so fast and hardly did anything for me besides a nail polish. I regret not going to my usual salon, Eco Nails, but needed something last minute so I decided Luv would be good. They are the "dollar store" of nail salons.

From the time you walk in and are greeted by the very professional yet extremely friendly receptionist (Tiffany) until you leave with spectacular looking nails by the super, wonderful Roz...it is a great experience. I have also had facials by Roz and pedicures and they have all been wonderful. Prices are fair and competitive. The environment is very clean and tranquil. If you haven t been in awhile, give it a another chance.

I spent $47 dollars on a fill in with the shapes of my nails not even being the same and my nail not fully painted. Absolutely horrible.

I used to go to another salon down the street until I met Karen. She is the best nail tech by far. She is so professional & her hand massage relieves all my stress from the day.

The worst mani/pedi I have had in my life...All she did was trim my nails, and polish them...Nothing was done with the cuticles, and just left without having me dry my nails thoroughly...How are you still in business?..You've got a great location with sub par help?..Once I got home I had to redo them...I don't like pointing to the negative but I feel like I was robbed of $35.00...Never again...The one star was to post this review...
