Today Perma-Seal came to my home for an inspection. They came to my home before about 20 years ago and fixed a leak I had. When I called this time thinking it was the same problem they sent out Ramon Duron who is very professional and takes his time to check everything !! Unfortunately it was a different problem and he explained everything to me so I could get the job done. I called PermaSeal because I had some crumbling with the top of my foundation. Jim G came out and saw there was a foundation crack going to a beam. He opened up the drywall on the inside to confirm.

Workers completed project on time and kept work area pretty clean. They communicated well and were responsive to our questions and requests. The quality of the work will depend on how it handles big rain volume. We have not been able to test this yet.

Perma-Seal appears to have a bit of a back log. I first contacted them in June 2018. My contract with them dated 7-3-2018 has not been started to date. They first showed up to work on 10-15-2018, but were unprepared to begin. They have since changed the location of their office, and they couldn't be reached by phone today . I have asked for my down payment money back, but get no reply.
Gosh what great service I had with Jake at Permaseal! Not only did he call two days ahead of my quote date to confirm but he called on the day of to give me a more exact time. Which is so helpful since both my husband and I work outside the house. I was so happy with his approach, level of detail, explanation and foundation crack information that I booked foundation crack repair job!

Received an estimate from Andrew C due to mild seepage in one location of my basement (for immediate remedy) and inquired about crawl space encapsulation (as a future possibility). He was very thorough checking the interior and exterior of my home and found 2 areas of water seepage that require addressing. He answered a lot of questions, gave me quotes on crack injections, encapsulation, and a French drain (I asked for during the course of our conversation). He did not try to up sell me on other unnecessary products or services based on my questions. Giving four stars because this was only an estimate. Doing my due diligence and getting another bid before I award the work.

Everything started out pretty well with Perma-Seal. A consultant came out and gave us a detailed description of what we needed to fix our leaky basement and listed a couple of options. We realized we were going to pay a little more with Perma-Seal but was ok with that given their reputation. They began the work in January but couldn't completely finish until April when the ground unfroze. After each time work was completed, a worker would ask for payment and we would write a check before they left. The total payments were around $15K. Then on Monday August 27th we received a collections notice for around $500 from Perma-Seal. We were completely caught off guard because we had paid the amount they had requested after each round of work. We immediately called the collection agency to try to find out what was going on. They did not have any information to provide us. We then called Perma-Seal. No one answered. We left a voicemail. No one called us back. I must have left 5 voicemails and called 20 times. I tried calling the consultant. No answer and no call back. Finally, I left a voicemail threatening to drive an hour to see them in their office. Coincidentally, the next time I called they finally answered. They had no information for me. The lady could not have been less apologetic, less helpful and more disorganized. After another 24 hours of waiting, we finally came to the conclusion that when a job was completed, they had asked for the incorrect amount. However, their records were sloppy and I had a simple follow up question because the actual invoice amount was different that the amount on the contracts. They have just completely ignored my simple request for explanation. I would like to pay off this balance (what's another $500 after $15K?) but I think I'm owed at least a simple answer to my question (that should take 2 minutes). It is now Friday before the labor day weekend and I m still waiting for some simple information from Perma-Seal. The amount of stress and anxiety that Perma-Seal has caused me and my family is indescribable. I understand mistakes can be made and if they would just show some sort of urgency and respect to get this fixed as soon as possible I would not have an issue. I can't believe the lack of respect they have for their former customers after the work is done. I would never recommend Perma-Seal to anyone. Their customer service has been an absolute disgrace.
