Lupton Dermatology and Skin Care Center Review

I ve never felt this heated leaving a doctors office. Waited 3 months for an appointment, for my concerns to be dismissed, prescribed things I ve already tried and could buy at Target. English Black was out of the room within 4 minutes, interrupted me and her best piece of advice was to cut out dairy. It s sad how lazy, apathetic doctors like her are well paid for their degree instead of competence.

English Black is amazing and she listens. Gives recommendations and a treatment plan. I love it there, friendly staff and easy in and out.

I believe I would ve been better off going somewhere else of getting something over the counter. The dermatologist (Dr. Black) barely looked at the spots I was concerned about and gave no real reason or solutions as to why the spots occurred.

Dr. Gray was very thorough in giving me a head-to-toe examination for potential skin problems.

I felt I was not listened to by Doctor Black and my skin suffered. If you hope to get on acutane or any permanent skin care then GO TO ANOTHER DERMATOLOGIST.

I used to go here to treat my skin. I switched Dermatologist and it was the best decision I ve ever made. They didn t put me on what they thought would actually work, instead they had me buy and try topicals that never worked for my skin. When I suggested medication, they shut me down because they didn t want me to succeed in my health for my skin.

I didn t have a great experience I was there 5 minutes the DR looked very uninterested in assisting me. I felt horrible leaving there I will personally never suit this office again

Efficient, pleasant attitudes, courteous. Dena Anderson is always good.

In and out in a timely manner and talked with my doctor about my condition. Appointment was easy made.

English was very kind and professional as always. She is very thorough in her job and I can tell she cares about her patients. The staff was great as well this time.

I ve been going there for years. The staff is always friendly and courteous and the doctors provide the best possible care and help with healing.

The office seems fine. Appointments run on time. I saw Dr Lupton before he retired and wasn't super impressed. I felt like the exam was very rushed, like he was in the room less than 10 minutes for a full body skin exam. So when he retired, I was fine trying someone else. I saw Dr gray next and while I liked him as a person, he was also very rushed. I have a history of skin cancer and am looking for a doctor who will take the time to be thorough. I have my next 3 month check up at a different place. It is difficult to find a good dermatologist... probably one of the hardest parts about moving. I also met with Katrina the aesthetician and didn't really care for her. She just gave me a bunch of brochures but didn't seem to really know her stuff or have an opinion. Just gave brochures and talked about her company reps.

They r the best, my dermatologist works to make sure that she gets everything taken care of and I thank her for that. So I am very happy with Lupton dermatology.

I think the worst Dr I ve ever met. Very impersonal - had no interest in making a connection. Had to ask him if he d look at some places on my face - seemed uninterested and in a hurry to stay on schedule. When I got home and looked in the mirror he hadn t even bothered to wipe the blood off my face from his procedure!
The staff was ok but unfortunately because of the Dr I won t be going back.

I met Dr Gray just yesterday. What a nice man! And smart and caring as well! Dr Lupton was great and my wife and I are sorry to see him retire, but the practice has been left in superb hands. Thank you Dr Gray!

WORST experience at a drs office ever. They just don t care! Rude nurses, people on the phone tell you they re going to do something (call in your meds, have papers for you at the front desk) and they don t do it!! No respect or care for their patients. Treat you like you re not even a person! You re just another paycheck for them. Avoid, avoid, avoid! The things they overlook or don t do are ridiculous.

I moved to the Greensboro area ~5 years ago and have been looking for a good dermatologist since I moved here. I have been to 3 different offices because none of them felt right for me. If I like the staff I didn t like the doctors and if I liked the doctors I didn t like the staff. With that being said I made this place my primary dermatologist office because I really like the PA, Dena Anderson; however the staff here is truly awful - from the front desk to the nurses. What led me to even write this review is that I left a message on MONDAY requesting a call back to schedule an appt (I understand most offices were closed due to MLK day and did not expect a call back that day) but it is now THURSDAY at 12:30 and still no return call to me or have they tried to contact me in anyway. Very poor professionalism. Dena was the only reason I was even coming back but not anymore.

I've had about 10 visits to Lupton Dermatology, all but 2 as the patient. It runs like an efficient oiled machine. Dr. Gray is quite proficient and knowledgeable, yet appropriately thorough. I can say the same about the female PA when I accompanied my wife. I had previously taken my teenage son to 3 other dermatologists and Dr. Gray is definitely preferred.

They are very efficient and Deena Anderson is very thorough. I appreciate her attention to detail and following through on treatment. I ve recommended her to several friends. She s always been on target with diagnosis as well.

I'd like to ask forgiveness for booking an appointment with Lupton. I apologize for wasting their time charging me for a visit.

Prescribed a medication that needed further approval, insurance tried getting a hold of them but no answer so it was denied, problem still on my toddlers skin. Great job!

Although the spot was fixed in less then 2 minutes. The visit was less then personal. The Dr. introduced himself. Froze the spot then said, any questions. After I said no, He then said; OK. Zero personality. I m looking for a new Dermotologist!!

Everyone is so friendly & professional, from the front desk at check in, to the nurse, to the person at the desk who checked me out at the end of my appointment. Also, English Black is so knowledgeable & engaging. Another wonderful experience!

I had an awesome experience with Dr. Luptons office as usual. I never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes and everyone is always very pleasant and professional. There s no long wait once you get into the room and the doctor spends a sufficient amount of time speaking with you, so you re in and out in no time. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone. Sadly, Dr. Lupton is retiring, so you won t have the pleasure of seeing him, but they have a new doctor-Dr. Black, who I will be seeing in January and I m sure she will be an excellent doctor as well.

Dr. Lupton was fantastic. His predecessor, Dr. Arthur Gray, is unprofessional and has shaky, nervous hands.

Dr. Lupton retired and sold his practice to Dr. Gray about two years ago. Dr. Gray has seemingly had profit behind his medical decisions and is quick to push surgery.

When performed, Dr. Gray s surgical skills are sloppy. Expect an incision 6-8x the size of the skin being removed.

I would highly recommend going to a new dermatologist and avoiding Dr. Gray.

I ve honestly never felt so rushed by a provider in my life. I read reviews prior to going and I should have listened but I was desperate for help. I had waited months for an appointment and would have multiple flare ups since January.

While staff seemed to be friendly, I felt like my concerns were dismissed and not heard. Every time I would bring up my concerns, English Black would over talk me. She was not listening at all and already had formed what she would say instead of listening. I will not be coming back for a 6 week follow-up. Sucks that this was my first time coming to this office.

I was very pleased with my experience at Lupton Dermatology. They made me feel that I was in good hands. A big thank you to all of them.

Disappointing experience for my 93-year-old dad. His driver drove him all the way to Greensboro this morning only for Lupton's office to tell him they called and left him a message at 8am today (on his home phone) that they cancelled his appointment for today (which was at 10am). They had already left the house. That's just not acceptable. I'm sure they would have charged dad a cancellation fee if he canceled with two hours notice. He won't be going back. Nor will I.

Really terrific staff! Extremely efficient office, too. I unreservedly recommend this practice.

I ve been coming here since May 2018. They are alright but sometimes the staff just seems less enthusiastic, I really like my Dermatologist. Dr. English Black. I will keep coming here but sometimes the staff just seem mean and not very nice and the wait I sometimes long.

As always Dena was great. Listened and gave great info. My only concern is that I had to wait about an hour. Pretty disheartening to watch a half a dozen folks who came in after me get called before me. My appt was at 3:50 but I wasn t called until about 4:40. That has never happened before. Wasn t a great use of my time after leaving work early.

I would recommend Dr. Gray to family and friends. He is easy going, kind and caring. I have always found professionalism among the staff.

Dr. Anderson is truly amazing not just at what she does, but how she does it. I've never felt so genuinely taken care of by a doctor than I do when I leave her office. She is very effective and reassuring, and I've seen nothing but improvement since I've started seeing her.

Dr Gray was absolutely wonderful. He diagnosed my problem correctly and I could not be more pleased.

The front desk staff was welcoming and happy. The wait was short, and PA Dena Anderson lived up to her 5-star reviews.

I arrived early and greeted by a friendly receptionist. I waited for my appointment time, called back to a treatment room. Soon, PA Dena Anderson came in and immediately diagnosed my issue and treated it. I was scheduled for a follow up appointment and departed. I was very pleased with every aspect of Lupton Dermatology. Thank you for making this a easy and painless experience.

English Black did not impress me at all and basically ran out of the room In about 4 minutes of being in there. Also I feel like a was treated different because I was self pay. I will be finding a different office now that Dr. Lupton is gone.

I felt like I was racially profiled. My lab work took so long when they knew my condition was getting worse. The PA who saw me, Dena Anderson doesn't listen. It was such a bad idea seeing her, I was told by the lady who she sent me to get get my blood work done to see another Doctor. I should have listened to that lady. This is by far the worst experience I had with a dermatologist. It doesn't matter what you know if you don't show that you care. She made sure I felt uncomfortable and i felt like she didn't care at all.

For some reason the day I went it was crazy busy. They were running behind for sure. Normally I don t have to wait. The staff at the front desk were quick and very nice. I don t see an MD. I like my PA and she is great to communicate with, she educated me and always answers any questions.

Worst customer service ever! I have been a patient for years because of Dr. Lupton and his reputation. He has now retired. I called and left a message last week, because that was my only option after timing out on hold, to schedule an appointment. I have yet to receive a call back. This is been a constant theme here.

Felt like I was the only patient in the building. In and out quick with the best care available. I have been a patient at this practice for 10 years or more. The staff has come and gone. The ones that are here now are keepers.

Dr. Anderson listened carefully to all my health needs and responded to the dermatological ones. She is a great healer.

6 months checkup went very well and English Black is a very professional PA and does an excellent job.

Waited close to 1.5 hours to be seen by a PA for five minutes. Was charged over $300 out of pocket to have one wart removed.

This appointment was scheduled for my teenager. We arrived about 40 minutes early because it was our first time and I knew there would be paperwork to fill out to become an established patient. Needless to say, we were there waiting for over TWO HOURS. My child kept saying "Mom, let's just go" I read several reviews before choosing to schedule the appointment and I saw that someone else had a similar experience. That review I thought about as we waited and WAITED. However, after finally meeting with Dr. Dena Anderson, we were very pleased with her knowledge, her bedside manner, and her willingness to listen and answer any cares or concerns that we had. Jill assisted and made sure all of our instructions were written down in an easy to follow method. (Remember, TEENAGER!) I hope and pray that our follow appointment will go much smoother in the waiting room. If it doesn't, you'll know all about it!

I was able to secure an unscheduled appointment rapidly. Upon arrival, the staff was efficient and friendly in gathering appropriate information and copayment. Short wait to meet Dr. Gray. Dr. Gray made a quick diagnosis and performed appropriate treatment. I couldn t be happier with my appointment experience.

When I was younger I had to have a mole removed at a different office and it was an awful experience. Having to have another mole removed, Dr. Gray made the experience a positive one. When I became nervous, he was patient, explained everything clearly so I could understand and helped me calm down. I had a great experience.

The office was very clean and all staff were professional and courteous.
