It was one of the best experiences of my life great staffs, perfect instructors ! It s the best place to learn any language .

I mean, the warmth that's coming off this place though! Great staff, amazing instructors! What else do you need to learn a new (or another) language, or to improve one? Definitely recommend this institution. I might come back to learn Xhosa!

I would recommend LTC, because you are going to meet lots of amazing and interesting people from all different countries here at the school. The teachers are very nice here and you will learn a lot in a short time. If you are looking for a language school in beautiful and adventurous Cape Town then go to LTC!

I used to teach at LTC. They still owe me money for my Portuguese lessons. They promised me more than what they were willing to give, plus when asked for a increase due to hours preparing lessons since they didn't have their materials for teaching - unlike all the other languages schools i taugh and teach at - they refused and said that if i don't agree to their super cheap rates for teaching then i am to invoice them and be replaced.
When invoiced, they took forever to pay, and did not pay in full.

Even after my student asking them that they wanted to continue their lessons, i got offer to return at their cheap rates!!! No acknowledgement ever for hard work and successful students!

Then I found and contacted Mechtild Braxmaier on Linkedin. She is one of the owners, and responded asking me to invoice her - which i had done in the previous message - and then blocked me, never paid. Also when i email the school i get ignored.

My experience (2 courses in Mandarin) was that of lack of administrative professionalism. LTC wanted to change our class times, double booked the lecturer, forgot to let us know about changes of class dates and was very quick to want money, but slow to issue certificates - on both occasions we had to ask repeatedly. I am sure there must be better institutions or private teachers in Cape Town.

Great school, great teachers, great people. A variety of foreign and local languages are offered at LTC - Afrikaans, isiXhosa, Zulu, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin and German. #2Thumbsup

I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned the admin process was really not great. Had several back and forth before getting the info I needed, I was never told I needed to pay BEFORE the classes started - and since I was told the DAY the classes were suppose to start that it was actually rescheduled to the next week, without an apology, I decided to wait to pay until I was sure this was not a scam. I was refused entry to the class and was told I would pay full price but loose an entire week of classes (for a course that is 6 weeks). Sorry but It s not worth the price. A private tutor is the same price and probably less hassle - that s the route I shall be taking.

I was a student for three months at LTC, Language Teaching Centre. It was a very good experience. The team is professional and welcoming. The reduced committee courses are conducive to better results. I was able to meet students from around the world and discover the beautiful city of Cape Town. I am very satisfied and I highly recommend this language school.

A great institution, however, they need to improve their administrative and customer services capacity. Their emails are curt and leave clients with a poor sense of the company. The companies payment structure leaves much to be desired, especially for foreign students. Perhaps this is designed only for South Africans?

There are a lot of options out there, I would advise to shop around and see where you feel most comfortable.

A super professional school, great teachers, my English has improved significantly. Thanks again LTC
