We were in the area and decided to use our Dining Out book. If you don't have one of those books you should seriously look into it.White Oak is fancy by not pretentious. The decor is beautiful and the menu pricing is decentI ordered a Malbec, which had a nice smooth taste and the pour was generous.

After being seated, I was disappointed by not being greeted by our server. I watched another couple sit and begin to order with their server after us. Our wait was about 10 minutes and it was unnecessary because it wasn't overly busy... I went back to the host to question why no one had come to our table. From that point things got much better. The appetizers were ok, not impressed with the deviled eggs at all but the Beignets were excellent! Entrees were pretty good; absolutely loved the collard greens. I spent what I expected but the overall experience fell a little short. Even still, I would be willing to drop in again.

One of the nicest restaurants i have been to the place is beautiful. The staff is friendly and food was great! The fried chicken was my favorite. Parking wasn t bad for being in midtown. They have so many private rooms would be perfect for events.

I really enjoy this place. The food is always great and the drinks made well and come quick. It is also great to see a nice spot right on peachtree here. Getting to see different areas of the city is nice, so that is part of the benefit of heading to White Oak. Will definitely be back.

First impressions at White Oak are of a subtly stylish and inviting atmosphere of a finely designed dining room. The host is kind and sets you at ease with a friendly welcome. The service is lively, well-paced, and if you're lucky enough to encounter Louis, full of positive energy and thoughtful suggestions. The chef, Meg, is a magic maker - we were delighted by superbly crafted mac and cheese, a salad deliciously balanced by flavorful veggies (as if fresh from the market) and a complementary vinagrette, and a chocolate mousse bomb we can't begin to describe. All told, an excellent eating experience!

Enjoyed the atmosphere and especially appreciated Shawn's (spelling?) attentiveness and attention to detail. My party was able to really focus our discussion without unnecessary interruption and with timely service. All staff paid attention to service. The ordered broiled oysters (temperature was luke warm), scallops (great texture and even a bit of a crunch along the edge) greens (excellent), and beignets (different welcomed twang) 5 tut 5 6. Enjoyed the meal. But it did not make me dance (family litmus test).

Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and actually stayed to talk us though our drink and food decisions. The pork shank might be the best dish I've ever had at a restaurant. All for a reasonable price. The bar also has really cool decor. Love the lamps around the bar with old telephone pole insulators (I have family in the electric business.) I would highly recommend.

This restaurant and staff did not disappoint. Our server Bridgette was super sweet making recommendations and ensuring we had the best experience. We started with the Mac n Cheese and pimento fried green tomatoes. Both were excellent. As our man we split the fried chicken which cooked to perfection. To end the night we shared a piece of butter pie which was also very good.

In town for a work conference, my friends had gone there the night before for dessert and drinks. They casually mentioned beignets, that got me interested, and they took me with them that night. Upon walking in, the hostess recognized my friends and welcomed them/us like family. We interacted with the hostess, server, bartender, and manager (owner?), each one treated us like old friends. The dessert was great, the drinks were great, the atmosphere was great. It's an easy walk from where we were staying at the Marriott Marquis. We will definitely be back the next time we pass through ATL.

The service was excellent. We had a large group and they were on top of it. We had a variety of food and everyone loved it. I had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly. I will definitely bring another group back.

I'm sorry to say that the food quality was not enough to justify waiting an hour for it.
It wasn't bad, but it just failed to impress. I kept wondering if the restaurant was understaffed as everything seemed to lag behind a dining room that wasn't even half-full.
Perhaps it's better if you're already planning to lounge and drink for a long time.

I cannot comment on the food but the beer selection was decent. The interior decor is nice, but the bar stools are made of metal and extremely uncomfortable after a period of sitting. Maybe the shorter chairs are better.

Open and airy. Solid food. Service was better at lunch than at night when they were busier but still acceptable. Nice wines. Had the crab cake, sauteed mushrooms, kale salad and she were delicious. Also had the chocolate mousse dessert which was the bomb!

i came here for a quick dinner. they have a separation of fine and casual dining, but dont tell you what is available on each menu. I sat at the bar where you get all the menu options and I went with the fried chicken and the cheesecake. The chicken was interesting, it came with cheddar rice which was really well made but i wouldnt recommend this dish itself. I would definitely recommend the cheesecake though, its not a slice, but is really well presented and looks wonderful. It's all these little cubes of cheesecake on a platter, with a variety of other desserts around it as well. Also tastes great! I had the devils haircut to drink, really great option, i would recommend this if you are a whiskey drinker. I would say the prices are a little steep but I had good service and good food so I would definitely go back. $50 with tip for everything

Stopped in on a recommendation. Had a drink I asked for an Athena which they were out of stock ok the server suggests another sour beer it was fine. However, I didn't realize the beer he suggested was $21 dollars. I have no problem paying that if its something I wanted I though it was something close to my original beer purchase that was 7 bucks. Nearly 40 bucks for 2 drinks?? Once looking at the menu it said market price which if I was the server I would have informed the customer what that price was. We were planning on eating but the menu was so limited we decided to go elsewhere. The atmosphere was nice and balcony was perfect but overall disappointing experience.

From out of town and was told to go for souther comfort food. This place is not southern comfort food, however it was good. It's pricey and you need to plan to order something for each course or you will still be hungry.

So good! I had been here once before for a work function and they just served some hors d'oeuvre. I was happy to go back and try this place for lunch/dinner when I was in the area again.

I was not disappointed. It was a bit pricy but overall a good food. I really enjoyed the Solstice Soup. It had a great light texture. I had the short ribs for dinner. The whole dish worked really well together. We ordered some seasonal dessert that was only so so. I would be willing to try other things though.

My company hosted a private event here and couldn't have been more pleased. Guests raved about the food, and service was top notch. Staff were a pleasure to deal with. Private rooms are spacious, though rest rooms are shared with entire dining room (but also fairly large so waits an unlikely). Highly recommend!

This was hands-down some of the BEST soul food I've ever had!!!! The fried chicken was to die for and left me dreaming about having more! The sides were equally good. I should add that the food wasn't greasy, which is hard to find with good soul food. The food is reasonably priced and all home made. The desserts were home made and good as well, though I found the banana pudding too sweet. (I am not a big sweets fan anyway.) The decor leaves much to be desired. The restaurant is in an office building and has about 10 tables for 2- 4 people each. The walls are covered with pictures of celebrities who have eaten here or had catering from here. It was interesting to see the faces.

This is an amazing place and really captures the essence of Atlanta. I had researched this place weeks in advance and it did NOT disappoint. I had the fried chicken and the bourbon pecan pie for desert. Both were absolutely out of this world and as someone who grew up in the south, I can say this was authentic and delicious southern food. Our server, Darius, was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Our food came out in perfect timing and the atmosphere was fun and chic. I give it a 10/10.

Food was delicious and although a little pricey, was definitely worth it. We had the shrimp bites and was highly satisfied! The service was less than desirable since we waited almost 30min just to get the check and leave. However, the server was kind and helpful. Food came out fast and great!

Great service. Share the sides.
Redfish portion was small but with all the side dishes, plenty to go around.
KC steak was bone in, nice size.

I was here for an event as part of a conference. The staff were friendly, there was great service, and the room was nicely decorated. The appetizer buffet was really good, with the favorites being the mac and cheese and sweet potato tots.

Poor service, long wait, hour plus for food - then waiter states they do not have half of the food in the back to complete our order. Very poorly managed. Times have changed here. Wouldn't recommend to my enemy.
