I would give this 5* but the 1 knocked off was more for the ignorant visitors than the place. Great shows and they treat disabled well keeping easy access spaces reserved for us and people with babies and toddlers

This place is the most impressive wildlife park I've ever been too, it's no wonder it's had so many awards and it's so highly rated on trip advisor. The time I spent here will be memory's that I will keep forever, the intimate way you adventure around each habitat is extraordinary and the parks conscious careful approach to protecting nature is fantastic.

If you love animals there is no other option than this place both from a viewing and moral perspective.

Absolutely brilliant. Time was spent fully occupied by shows with animals happy to ob lige with their tricks and obviously enjoying entertaining us at same time. Fully packed.park with every sight you could wish to see.

Mixed thoughts about the park. It is very clean and well maintained but some of the enclosures seem rather small and animals living on AstroTurf is not really good. The fish exhibits are spectacular as are the free flight bird enclosures. The whole park is on quite a steep hill so be prepared for a climb. Sensible shoes are a must. The whale and Dolphin shows are both very enjoyable.

Much more than a zoo

Much more than a zoo
This place seems very expensive on first glance but they have amazing
Whale shows
Seal shows, Parrot shows, Dolphin shows, a few times a day
The staff really go out of their way to interact with the crowd and make it a special day . One lucky child got to ride on a kids raft pulled by the dolphins .
All the show are amazing and the animals seem very well looked after and loved by the staff .
The penguin enclosure is really cool too . Lori park have a man made iceberg and snow shower with too many penguins to count waddling around and swimming
Food is expensive enough but same as most parks like this

Not the best zoo/theme park visited, but the orcas show is amazing. The dolphin and sea lions show is good, but the one in Portugal Zoomarine (Algarve) is the best. Still recommended for the orcas!

The park itself left a positive impression and it seems the animals are treated well.

We got into the cafe around 13:00 on April, 29 / 2019 and ordered two sandwiches with ham and cheese (4.25 euro per one) and two cappuccinos (as we found out later it's only 2.5 euro per one). The guy at the counter (a man around 40 years old) assured us that POS terminal ist kaput and told us to pay in cash so we gave him 20 euro but the change we got back was only 2 euro and 10 cents. Unfortunately we realized that we got tricked only at the exit when noticed the cappuccino price on the board, and what's also important we didn't even got a receipt from him (full blame on us for that).

I am really concerned that this guy tricks the tourists a bunch of times every single day so I kindly ask the administration to take care of him since the presence of such unprofessional employees negatively affects the overall reputation of such a great place as Loro Park.

Me and my Girlfriend visited today and really enjoyed the shows. Highlight of the day was the Dolphin show strongly recommend this one. The animals are well looked after. Couple of recommendations get to shows early to make sure you get in. Maybe take packed lunches as you will wait for up to 45+ mins for food. All in all a must in Tenerife.

Great place, fantastic garden, amazing shows. Plenty of saved animals. I agree that the orcas and dolphins should't be kept for the entertainment sake, but whrn they're saved from death it is a completely different matter. The discovery tour is a must!

Average place to visit. Massive hype for not too much substance. Dolphins and sea lions are great fun but beyond that it looks like a typical zoo with animals outside of natural habitat.

Fantastic zoo! I went to Loro Park in July this year and it was a really good zoo, free sea lion, dolphin and whale shows. Yes you do que a while for food but you need to take into consideration it is a attraction so there is going to be a lot of people there. I would definitely go back again :)

Great days entertainment. Not sure it justifies the world's greatest zoo title but it's still good. At first i thought the entrance price was a bit steep but when you see the amount of work that goes into the place its not really so bad. We took the additional 11 euro tour inside the main entrance to see what goes on behind the scenes and it was worth every cent. A large part of the park is dedicated to the birds. Kantandra (loc 11) gives you an oppprtunity to get within touching distance of many beautiful birds.

It was a nice experience. We were unlucky with the weather, as it was raining and lots of animals were hiding. The sandwiches weren't that great but the staff were all very nice and helpful. I would recommend the place to everyone! Kids would love it!

Great place, for animals too because they treat them very well, every staff is very friendly. Fantastic shows..very crowded but have space for everyone..and the food was also great. Highly recommend them!

Loro Parque deceives the public. They laundered orca Morgan into captivity on a permit that does not allow them to breed or use her for entertainment, and they irresponsibly bred her and threw her into shows. Her 4 month old calf has a deformed left pec fin and a misshapen head which they are hiding from the public. Marine mammal experts have suggested her head is missing the 'melon' at the top. It was very sad to witness this. When you make inquiries they delete your comment and block you. They are deceitful, arrogant and the welfare of their animals as well as their transparency is clearly lacking. Please boycott this park.

Lovely clean well thought out exhibits, the penguin exhibit is fantastic and the sea lion show is funny entertaining and the seals seem to enjoy the animal/trainer interaction, loads of drink and snack stops all the way round, and a free train to get there from the town centre, very good day out, you can easily spend over 5 hours here.

Definitely better than Jungle Park. Animals seem to be happy, or at least well-treated, the space is perfectly organized, definitely worth visiting. Me & my girlfriend were there for like around 7 hours and still, there was something to do. Must-have on Tenerife!

Loro Parque is a remarkable combination of zoo, aquarium as well as shows of parrots, sea lions, orcas and dolphins. The shows are really the highlights of the place. The zoo itself is good, but doesn't compete with other great zoos of Europe (London, Antwerp, Pairi Daiza, Berlin, Vienna...). There are no elephants, giraffes, rhinos, camels, gazelles, zebras or other big land mammals, apart from a few big cats and apes and a single dwarf hippo. Bird lovers will be delighted by the numerous penguins, parrots, cockatoos and budgerigars.

Epic day out, not a huge zoo but the orca's, dolphins and other animals more than made up for it. We did the premium package and discovery tour which offered reserved seating for the shows and timed itinery but doing that didn't leave a lot of time to free roam and see all the site, we at least we got to see the best of the events with the itinery.

Love Loro Park. So much to do and see. Great for the kids too! They are also doing so much for the environment and endangered species. Visit and support a great cause.
Get there early so you can see everything, although it does get quieter later on (so go and see things for a second time).

What an amazing park! I cannot describe in words how I feel about this park, it's just so friggin' amazing!

This zoo has some very good programs! It was nice to see Morgan the orca again really love how much care and attention you give to these animals.

The shows are great be sure to visit them all!

The food is really good and well priced, staff really friendly and helpfull.

On and around the fences you will find lots of info about the animals and the park, the habitats are just mind blowing. For example the penguin enclosures, very amazing with the glass ans the snow and everything!

It looks great, well done! I will definitely be back and I hope everyone who visits Tenerife will visit Loro Parque! Chapeau!

We were lucky enough to have been able to see all aqua shows in one day! The park itself is beautifully constructed - it almost doesn't feel like a zoo, but more like you are just walking through nature!

Spectacular zoo. Very healthy looking and happy animals. Best places to see Orcas outside America. Spend time watching the gorrillas. They are every animated and this is the closest you will ever get to them. The white tigers and the lions are also very close proximity. Even worth a visit for half a day.

There are many animal species and the arctic is simulated very nicely. For me, as a biologist I would have preferred more mixed and larger enclosures for the parrots and more enrichment for all animals to simulate natural behaviour. All animals except for the water shows and octopuss seem to be provided with permanent easy access to food instead of natural foraging moments.

I had amazing day, enjoying the animals and activities. The best part for me was the live performances shows, (orca show, dolphins show, sea lion show and many more). If you go to the orca show be prepared to get wet if you sit on the first 5 rows, they splash water on purpose!! However I was on the 3rd row and I had a lot of fun.

Fabulous park, beautifully maintained , helpful staff, great shows, lots of eating areas but watch out for guys helping you to park in side roads when the car park is full. They are con men and violent when crossed.

Conflicted... Putting aside the quite expensive entrance fee for a family of 4 especially as over 12 years is classed as an adult, and the fact that it was very busy and the paths are quite narrow.... I'm stuggling with the fact that large orcas, dolphins and seal lions are in pools that do not reflect in any way, their natural habitat, the lion enclosure is very small and lots of birds kept in cages that don't allow them to fly for more than 4 feet.

Otherwise, the park is well kept, the keepers clearly care for the animals and it was an enjoyable morning out..

Everytime I m in tenerife (every winter ) . I always visit loro parque . It s just amazing . I wish the buses from los cristianos & playa de las americas would pick us up earlier and later time when we travel back . 5hours in the park is just not enough to do everything . But everything was super good there . Also cheap food / snacks .

The park is great value for money and there's a yellow train(transport) that brings the visitors and available every 20 minutes. There's a lot of animals and beautiful flowers. Advice: go in the morning since there are a lot of things to see. There are shows as well such as dolphins show, whale show and sea lion show.

I genuinely couldn't believe what I was seeing! This was easily the highlight of our Tenerife trip! It's so much more than a zoo, you are constantly feeling like you're in a jungle, this place is absolutely magical!

A very poor recreation of Sea World, Orlando. 12 minutes of the dolphin show was watching the trainers just feeding them. The ticket included a burger but they failed to mention it was only a hamburger and they wouldn't accommodate for vegetarians. They claimed to stop their Ocra breeding program but since then two ocras have been born in captitivity.

Excellent value for money. Please take advantage of the second visit for 13 each as you definitely don't see everything the first time. There is a bus/ tram like thing that will take you and bring you back for free. We were very central so walked the first time but ended up taking it back the second time as we were very tired. It took us over 4 hrs each time going round but worth the time. Don't miss the Orca show, it's brilliant, we also saw the dolphins and the sea lions shows which were just as good. The penguin place is fab and please don't miss the puffins just behind the end of the conveyor belt. Loved the jellyfish, the aquarium and the treetops walk, nothing we really didn't like to be honest. Food reasonable and toilets were immaculate.

great way to spend the day for all ages. loads of animal to see, the shows were entertaining no matter how many times you see it. great range of shows including dolphins, orcas, bird show and sea lions. large aquarium and plenty of shade with seating area. facilities were on point in terms of toilets and park was kept clean at all times. although we brought our own packed lunch, looking at the menu the food pricing seem fair, parking on site is extra.

Good day out for all the family. Be at shows early to get a good seat. Easy to get round most places are accessable to those with mobility problems. Food stops around zoo. Toilets are cleaned and staffed. Good variety of animals. All enclosures looked well maintained and good size for relevant animal or bird.Information was good and it was stressed this zoo is here to educate the public and save the animals in danger around the world. The penguin section was the best I've been in and I have been in many. Even the lighting was created to mimic their natural environment. Well thought out zoo.

Very nice park with many exotic birds and wild animals. Dolphins, orcas.... Just the small roads between every area are .... TOO SMALL... especially if you have a baby and you carrying it with the baby stroller, because as you will find out right away... they are many couples with baby strollers hanging around... Also it doesn't have any big open space with some sitting points in order to relax for a fee minutes. If you want to relax you need to sit down to a cafeteria or s restaurant with .... HUGE prices...!

Simply one the best days out for families... Superb facilities, amazing animals and awesome shows. I've now been three times spanning two decades & it's better every time. Bolted on, 5 star attraction... full stop

I came here with great expectation and must say that it was all well achieved. This is a wonderful place so well cared. The shows are super entertaining and made our stay unforgettable.

The best zoo we have ever been to. The animals are all well cared for and in good condition. The shows are amazing especially the orca. The penguin house is out of this world, we were all speechless, a once in a lifetime experience. It is worth another visit to Tenerife just to go to Loro Park.

Have been there twice, our kid three times and we all love it. The shows are constantly approving, exhibitions and attractions are changing, so no matter how many times you come back, you will not be bored. This is a great place to learn about the animals, the nature and how to protect and preserve it. Also with every visit you contribute to make the planet a little better and more sustainable place. And you do that in a very enjoyable way. Really a must of the Canarias and Tenerife.

Not a bad day but not worth the trip from down south, Orca show is good but short, same with the other shows, I found Jungle park a lot better and it's a lot closer if you are staying in the south

Shame on you. Animals are not mean to be held captive for our amusement. Taken from their families to entertain yours. This is Morgan, just sitting out of water....disgusting. Again, shame on you. Stop going and supporting this animal cruelty.

Greate place for all people, for all ages.

Greate place for all people, for all ages.
We spent wanderful time inside.
The or a show, the lion dea show, the delphins show we loved the most.
The Loro show was too light comparing.
There are places to relax, to see animals in their habitat.
