We visited this park in June 2019 and I must say it was one of the best animal parks we have ever been to. The enclosures are all good sizes especially the penguin enclosure which is honestly amazing themed on the Antarctic and the animals all seem happy and well looked after and the keepers all seemed to car about the animals welfare. We will definitely be back in June/July 2020 I highly recommend booking with jet2 as the transfers is fast and efficient.

I highly recommend. Amazing shows with info about the zoo and the animals in there. Discovery tour is worth the money (adult 10 child 7 ) you can go behind the scenes it lasts about 1h 30min

Loved this place the whales were amazing it was just very cramped for a small place.. Very strange it being in the middle of a town too.. Birds.. White tigers.. Dolphins.. Penguins.. Lots of animals and shops.. But of u see a animal ur child or yourself wants and u think k it will be in the end shop.. It wont be so buy it then.. They dont have a large end shop. So we missed out as we had to go for the coach bk..

A perfect place..... to get a glimpse of what nature has to offer. A brought variety of animals of different kinds. Orca and dolphin show are impressive and to recommend for kids and adults. You will get a first idea on the first visit, but to get a real feeling, you will need to visit the park ore often.

Excellent park with one of the best Layouts and large enclosures I have ever seen. It is now rated as the best zoo in Europe and rightly so. To get the most out of it I would suggest being there early in order to make it around everything. The sheer size of the place will take your breath away and vat range of animals is breathtaking.

Took my almost 13 year old son yesterday. He was expecting to have a really boring day but was totally blown away by the penguin palace, the dolphin and orca shows and the aquarium (especially the jellyfish) It was a beautiful day and a lovely experience. A little expensive but well worth the money.

This deserves to be among the best zoos in the world! There is a vast collection of animals that represent all continents and climates. Every sections are themed and designed specifically to make it fun for the visitors to discover. There are a lot of activities in the zoo: orca show, dolphin show, cinema, parrot show, animal feedings, etc. so you can easily spend more than a day here without getting bored.

A little piece of paradise on earth. Most beautiful part being the efforts they do to preserve endangered species. In part by actually saving animals, but also by trying to educate people on matters like plastic overusage, poaching and general human (mis-) behaviour. I sure hope their message reaches a lot of people. A must-see when on the island!

Beautiful day at the Loro Park. Well worth a visit if you're on the island. Great shows involving the dolphins, sea lions and whales. Animals very well looked after and live in great surroundings unlike your typical zoo you might see in the UK or elsewhere.

The entry fee is expensive with no reduction for pensioners and on entry we were immediately approached to take a guided tour which brought the total to 49 each.
We were glad we added the tour because it brought us behind the scenes to explain how everything worked.
The enclosure for the Arctic Penguins is a complete sealed complex which was just astounding.
Well worth a visit - be early LOTS to see.

Very nice, clean and friendly zoo. Yes it's sad for some animals but I could also see the beauty of it. The delfin show was really bad but the other two where amazing. I really like the feeding of the baby pinguins. It was so sweet!! Also the bird area where you could walk around them was beautiful. Take the little train, it's one big experience before and after the park.

I was positive astonished. I came here with different fellings, but I leaned that they do very much for the dangered animals and have a lot of God projects in place. Therefore the money is worth.

Unfortunately except good attractions available round the Loro area I have faced huge faux pas because maintenance works at height were conducted during opening hours - there are no issues with weather to do it another time.

It brought great risk of serious or fatal injury for everyone visiting Loro - it was right above the main entrance! Car crane could just flip over, anything could happen. It is highly irresponsible in my opinion. Though if other things regarding safety of visitors are being done in such careless manner we can only expect something bad.

Except that Loro offers much crowd and unfortunately misses the main goal - lofty idea is correct but it needs verification.

What a wonderful place to go. It is a great place to take the children and grandchildren out for the day. It give the younger generation to see some of the animals that are endangered. Well worth the money and have a great day out.

Very nice place for a daylong visit with kids. Don t want to miss anything? Make your own schedule to the shows before arrival. Then, no matter from where you start the tour, you ll always have time to make it all.

Did the guided tour for a extra 10 which allowed you to go behind some of the enclosures. From a bloke who just had some parrots in a cage and charge a small fee now has one of the No1 Zoo's and top water theme parks in the world is truly impressive.

The Loro Parque was interesting!

The Loro Parque was interesting!
We traveled there with a bus (we didnt know what the parking situation would be. It looked OK, if you arrive early enough!).
From the bus to the entrance there may be about 100 meters (wheelchairaccess).
Once inside, you are greeted with the question if you want to have a special tour of the orca facilities after the show. This is combined with a guided tour of the zoo.
We opted to discover three zoo/park on our own.
This gave us enough time at every station we wanted to see, as well as time for the shows. I think we're made it through 90% of the park.

The animal shows:
The animal shows were nicely done and you hot the impression the animals liked what they were doing (we attended all the water shows and the Loro Show). The Orca show included a bit of background information about one of the Orcas they saved who had offspring in 2018. All the shows had background information on the animals, which was super interesting. The Loro show was very nice, because they didnt just show the parrots do tricks, but they also flew around.

Other:
The restrooms are clean and plentiful.
There are multiple options regarding food. As to the quality, I can't say, since we brought some food ourselves (we wanted to see the entire park, eating was a secondary priority :D ).

Overall evaluation:
I had heard that the Loro Parque qas not worth seeing. I am glad that we didnt listen and decided to have a look for ourselves. I enjoyed it a lot and believe others (regardless if couple or family) will also like it!

I can highly recommend visiting!!!

Just an amazing experience altogether. Definite must-go! The shows are fun and educational, there is loads to see, and the guided tour is worth the 11 euros, as you visit otherwise closed areas and very informative in of itself.

A true wonder. Worth getting the meal ticket as well as the food was great.
Definitely visit again

What a great day out for all the family, the shows are fantastic and just a massive amount of animals, fish and birds on display, my personal favourite was the penguins only because it was lovely and cold in there, haha, sat in the splash zone for the killer whale show and got a good soaking ha, dried off in 5 mins, the food in the park wasn't crazy money "IF" you eat at the sit down restaurants but the kiosks are expensive for what they are, the four of us went to the little pizza restaurant and shared 3 pizzas between us and all had a can of soft drink and I think it was 35 and was very good and fresh.

This is not the usual zoo, it's a giant entertainment business. They don't show much variety but only the most prestigious/fancy animals. Little looks natural, it is rather "polished" to perfection. If you like that or not is probably a matter of taste, I for my part think it gives children a unrealistic view on nature.

The core part of this zoo are the many animal shows, wich makes the zoo a good choice for rainy days since the shows all have roofs. Educational elements are included but stand back over the show effect.

The 35 entrance fee seemes high at first, but can be explained with the high amount of maintainance and the expensive to keep animals there. Food prices seemed reasonable (didn't try anything).

However I did feel often like in a giant advertisement, since there is merchandise and special offers everywhere, which mad everything feel a bit shady.

It's a brilliant park, all the shows are great fun, but also show you how they study and look after the welfare of all the animals and the enviroment. Not just for little kids the big kids (adults) also enjoy it too, a great day out and worth the journey from the south of the island.

Loro Park claims it's a must and... They are entitled to say so. This zoo is quite diverse and you have the impression you're visiting the animals in their natural habitat. Nice! And respectful. The shows are also short which is a plus.

There should be a worldwide ban on keeping any kin...

There should be a worldwide ban on keeping any kind of cetacean in captivity -- orcas, dolphins, belugas. This park, in particular, has a terrible reputation for their treatment of their captive orcas, the most recent of which is the breeding of their captive orca and then the removal of her calf after only 4 days. Does anyone remember how many days the grieving mother orca carried her dead baby on her snout on the west coast of the US??? Seventeen days! And calves typically stay with their mother for two years. What is wrong with these people. This is animal cruelty on a corporate scale...

A must-see attraction if you visit Tenerife!! The work they do both here at the park and worldwide too is fantastic. Its not expensive and there are places to sit/eat/drink all over the park... Plenty of toilets too! If you love animals, or just want to enjoy a great day out please give it a go. You won't be disappointed!

I love Loro park, we have been 3 times now over a period of about 6 years and every time it's been great. The animals are well cared for and healthy, the layout is good and the viewing of the animals is well thought out. What every age you are this zoo is a must.

Probably the best Zoo and botanical garden I ever seen, spent all day with family and enjoyed every bit of it. Every corner was interesting. Minor thing that a bit annoyed-so many visitors, however understandable all of them want to see this special place. For animals lovers... It's fantastic place to visit

Park looks beautifull and well looked after. That said; i feel the tickets were quite expensive and on top of that its overly commercial. They try to charge money for litterally everything. On entry they try to sell you a guided tour for 11 euro, then a family picture for 6.50, a hat for 1 euro, toilets they expect you to pay for, a rollercoaster you need to pay for etc. T shirts and candy stores with overly agressive ladies trying to sell their goods. Donation boxes everywhere. It just didnt feel right after already paying such a high entry fee. We had a good day but felt a bit exploited, the park could do without the commercialism.

Happy with visit. Zoo is not packed with every possible animal specie and animals look healthy. "Interrior" of the zoo alone is impressive enough to put some paid parks to shame. We enjoyed the shows. only thing was card payment issues ( parking ) , but looks like that is common for Tenerife.
