This is a very nice hotel. It is centrally located by the Marble Arch and a Central Line tube station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The concierges were incredibly patient and willing to help. The rooms are really clean. My shower door didn t close all the way and my air conditioner/fan were not working properly, but my travel companion had a separate room with no issues at all. They accommodated our request for connecting rooms.

Edited. This is for Lanes the restaurant not the hotel. Came here for afternoon tea. Being a chain brand my expectations weren't the highest. I was wrong selection of teas and coffee were fantastic. The afternoon tea had plenty of small desserts, they were all splendid, although definitely cater to the sweeter tooth. Overall great service and lovely afternoon tea.

Beautiful hotel, right beside the Marble Arch underground station. Excellent staff. Great lounge if you have access. Used my suite upgrades for three nights in 254 - a spectacular suite. Good gym and pool as well.

I am in London often, for business and pleasure, and each visit I stay at a different hotel. Many previous hotels have been excellent but none have inspired my loyalty to return. Till now.

The Park Lane Marriott excels in every possible way. Located in the Mayfair district, at the northeast corner of Hyde Park and directly across from Marble Arch, the hotel is at ground zero for tube stops, shopping (Oxford street is a few steps away)... in fact all the sites, tastes, and destinations in Zone 1 are within easy walking distance.

So what sets the Park Lane Marriott apart?
1. The hotel s exterior and interior are classy, elegant
2. The interior furnishings, though, are contemporary, fun.
3. The art throughout the hotel, public and private spaces, is spectacular. (The art is not run of the mill hotel art: most of the art is contemporary and done by local artists.)
4. The hotel staff are all excellent.

That last item is the true difference. The hotel s Guest Relations Manager, Perpetua Kirschstein, has hired and trained an amazing staff whose singular focus on the guest s experience, on customer service, makes you, the guest, feel truly special. (Extra shoutouts for Camille E., Fuente B., and Tamas (Tommy) B., who each contributed to make our stay a special experience.) Excellence is its own reward but also creates success.

Which helps explain in small measure why my future visits to London will find me at the Park Lane Marriott.

Beautiful and Inviting Hotel

Beautiful and Inviting Hotel
The Park Lane is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. At the time of this writing it had been remodeled a relatively short time ago. Even more recently than that the gym and pool were remodeled. Beautifully appointed the hotel still maintains an inviting and welcoming feel (even with some rather odd modern art pieces).
I rented a room with 2 beds and was pleased with the space and the ease to maneuver through it. The bathroom was gorgeous. The bathroom only had a shower, which honestly was fine. The toilet included a bidet and a heated seat!
The lounge, which is accessible for higher level reward members, was charming and spacious. The chairs were a bit on the small size if your rear-end is even slightly above the average size. They had a lovely selection of snacks and good dinners served nightly. If those don't satiate you, then the in hotel restaurant (Lanes of London) certainly will have something to satisfy your palate. Their food was delicious and reasonably priced for London.
The location was great if you are looking for a place to stay while exploring London. It is situated on the same corner as the Marble Arch Station servicing the Central Line of the Underground. This allowed for easy access to the heart of London with minimal transfers. I think the longest trip back to the hotel from "the river" was about 30 minutes. You are also located across the street from Hyde Park and on Oxford Street, which has some of the finest shopping available if that's your thing.
If you are driving your own car, there is no onsite, or even streetside parking. You must park in a garage a block away, which honestly isn't as far as it might sound. However, the parking is crazy expensive. Also, it can be difficult to find as the entrance is not on Oxford Street, where you might expect, but what feels like the back of the hotel on what amounts to something slightly larger than an alley.
The hotel and restaurant staff were all outstanding. Friendly, welcoming, helpful and courteous. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel anyone needing a place in London, who might also want a bit of a treat in luxury.

I am retrospectively writing a review for this Hotel which I stayed in 5 years ago in London.
It was unbelievably large with beautiful decor and great facilities for a central London Hotel. We were lucky enough to be able to use our points for the stay. Highly recommended!

Fabulous hotel right in the thick of it all. Very friendly staff, nice decor and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is right off hide park at the top end of Oxford street... So you can go for your morning run, then shop till you drop. Of course there is a tube station right around the corner, so you can easily go anywhere.

After being to many afternoon teas, which all consist of pretty much the same thing, what a pleasant treat it was coming to London Marriot Park Lane for their splendid Botanical Afternoon Tea at the hotel s Lanes of London restaurant.

The service from arrival was 5-star; and I took the details of Vivian , who was serving us, to give him a 5-star review for his efforts. He explained everything in detail; gave us attention whenever required; and really knew everything about all the different teas, which were on offer.

This is one of those indulgent pleasures that can either be gifted to a loved one, or enjoyed as a treat on a Sunday afternoon, or just because you want to. Why not give it a go? Perfect with spring around the corner!

The location of the hotel is excellent at the beginning of Oxford Street and opposite Hyde Park and near the Agorrod Street. The staff is excellent, the room is clean and fairly large, the bathroom is great and the toilet is great. God kind of rinsing, automatic heating and cleaning twice a day. I hope that breakfast is in line with Arab breakfast.

Food was dry and unappetising. My prawn timbale starter was a spoonful of shredded lettuce and four tiny shrimps and it was tasteless. Dessert was good, staff were friendly and worked well. Stars are for the staff.

From the moment we checked in, we were instantly greeted and lead to the reception check-in above the steps. Check-in was seamless, and receptionist (Petti I believe), was very nice and detailed everything about the hotel and what was offered. An a gold status member and had a mild upgrade, not to a suite unfortunately because they were filled. She showed us to the room and our bags were brought up shortly after. Not much of a view unfortunately, as a building was directly across. Very nice deluxe room and bath. Only complaint is with the TV, it kept wanting to connect to a MyConnect device... Not sure if it was a TV glitch or another room doing it on accident. Executive lounge is nice and decent size. May get crowded at certain hours but we didn't run into that issue. Location of the hotel is great and right next to the central line tube station.

The perfect place to end our UK holiday! Hotel is beautifully decorated and staff very friendly beyond expectation. I appreciate that they took the extra step to be personable and actually have a conversation with you - not just treat you like another annoying tourist (which they must come across so many). The Executive Lounge was spectacular, and again the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful, clean, quiet, perfectly temperate, and not lacking in anything. I wish we could have stayed longer!

I really wanted to like this Marriott hotel, but there were lots of small things that added up which made me wish I had picked a different property to stay at.

Our check-in process was smooth and access to the lounge was fine everyday. The food remained identical each day. Understandable since it was free for gold/platinum members.

We were "upgraded" to a park viewing room, but really it was just overlooking some building. I think I looked out the window maybe twice the entire trip. Don't expect much looking outside.

The shower was was partially disassembled when we arrived and the carpet was brown near the nightstands. Someone prior must have spilled coffee. Both were gross.

The absolute worst part of the stay was the bed. The most UNCOMFORTABLE bed I have ever slept in! This is not an exaggeration. I felt ever spring that mattress had inside. You have been warned!

Pick a different Marriott hotel if you're staying on holiday.

Booked the Park Lane Marriott for our last night abroad as a treat, but it was one of the worst experiences I've had at any Marriott/SPG property in over 10 years as a gold/platinum member and I would never stay here again. Check-in process was difficult - although being told I was on a priority check-in list (requested early check-in), the room was not ready before the 4pm check-in time - also they offered to notify me when the room was ready, which came at 8:30pm? When we finally did check-in, we were given a room that smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. After speaking with the front desk, we were given another room on the ground level, that was smaller and had a wonderful view of an alleyway full of trash. Also, there was a candy/snack wrapper on the carpet in the room? The rooms are small, we were situated next to the elevator and janitor closet, so there was quite a bit of noise that came through into the room as well. They offer to take your bags when you check-in and bring them to your room - it took 20 minutes to bring these up, which seems excessive. On top of these inconveniences, the hotel did nothing outside of an email apology to make the situation any better. Oh, and I received a minibar charge - didn't even see a minibar or have enough time for a drink in the room.

I can say that the bathroom was nice, but there is nothing special about this hotel other than the location.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at, and I travel often. The service is on a ritz carlton level and the rooms are amazingly renewed. The executive lounge was also one of the best I have experienced.

Nice employees, thoughtful. Beds too hard though for our American backs, I think we Americans like softer cushier beds. Hotel is small like a boutique hotel which is more our style and different than the standard Marriott.

Went for afternoon tea with my friend. When we got there we were seated and the waitress walked us through the different types of tea which was great. We ordered and got the food and first set of tea. Had water topped up twice. Aaaand that was all as far as food and drink was concerned. Considering I paid a fair amount for the voucher, we were entitled to all you can drink tea but no one bothered to see to us for 2 hours. I had to ask for another cup. In the end we got fed up of being left unattended and went home. The waiter merely said bye lol and that was it. Funny how everyone else was seen to. Food was lovely and aesthetically pleasing for the record but in terms of service- poor.

I found this hotel surprisingly likable. Small and intimate and everything is done in good taste. Contemporary but definitely not hip. Service is very very attentive and the front of house folks are extremely helpful and gracious. I'd stay there again for sure.

I visited with friends for afternoon tea and was suitably impressed. The attention to detail was excellent and not only did the food look good, it tasted good too. There was a wide selection of teas to choose from and the free-flowing sparkling wine was an added bonus. The staff were knowledgeable and very welcoming; they ensured that glasses were kept topped up without us even asking. A perfect afternoon.
