Very good pizza! The tomato sauce on this pizza is the bomb! We took the Buddy s special , generous amount of prosciutto and good crust! A must go!

Watched videos on this place and was not disappointed. Was first in the line to make sure we get a table.

Orderes the clam pizza which was so satisfying. The atmosphere was good and the server who served us was kind enough to take some time to explain the history of the restaurant. Managed to catch a glimpse of the aged old oven stove they used to bake those pizza.

Overall, a very nice casual dining experience and would recommend anyone to this place.

Ohhhhhh my Gooooood. My number one. I had amazing, delicious artichoke pizza. It was bigger than my two palms and I have big palms. But, surprisingly, it wasn t heavy.

We arrived at our hotel hungry and jetlagged, so we asked the staff for a recommendation on a good pizza place nearby. We ended up at the oldest pizzeria in US, with over 100 years of history. We came unannounced on a Saturday evening and had to wait at the bar for around 20 minutes before getting a table, which isn't too bad. This gave us time to soak in the atmosphere. And the pizza was good too.

I'm going to say, it's ok. Better than most cheap pizza places in the city but not worth a long wait. If you get there when it's not busy then I guess it's a good time. There are lots of other places like CO Pizza in Chelsey that is much better.

This is my favorite pizza in Manhattan. Customer service is also excellent. I love everything about them.

The rigatoni was good, sauce was flavorful. Pizza wasn t hyped up to what it I thought it was going to be. Being cash only was annoying.

Coming to NYC, I had to try NYC pizza. I'm not sure about this place however as the pizza itself seemed "okay" The sauce tasted bland. Service wasn't the best either.

Best pizza I've ever had, and well worth a visit if you're a tourist. Expect a short wait at peak times. Alsp, it's cash only.

True to the iconic reputation. The marinara and crust was perfect with just the right crunch and char from the oven. The toppings were fresh and delicious.

Unfortunately, we were disappointed. It is certainly not cheap here. The pizza was burnt and dry. We gave her back. The second pizza was much better. The place itself is ok but downstairs. The remaining pains leave much to be desired.

This pizzeria is one of the oldest in the city and we decided to visit the place. It is very nice, with checkered tablecloths and a thousand photos of the restaurant's history.

The area where it is located is very pleasant to take a walk so it makes up for the walk to get to the place.

I don't get why there's lines and lines of people all the time. Who doesn't do brick oven pizza these days? I guess it's the historical-ness of it. But pizza quality-wise there's definitely 30+ places like them. It's still good, yeah, but I also had same pizza in a bar in Baltimore. I guess go if you must.

Great family restaurant that gives the aura of a back in the good ole days experience, not chic. Italian Ice and meatballs were great. Proportions are nice and the price was light. Definitely great quality Lil Italy experience.

It's one of those iconic New York places, but it's not better than Homeslice on Vanderbilt in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn if you just want a slice. However, if you want the real NY pizzeria, pass- through-the-kitchen to get to your table experience. Pay the enlarged price, take the pictures, and tell everybody you've been there.

It was good, but not worth the price in my opinion. There's definitely other pizzeria in NY that are just as good.

After i took the first bite of their pepperoni pizza I did a hoppy skippity dance in celebration!

Tourist trap.. plain and simple. The pizza is OK (Joe's is better/5x cheaper.) The wine they serve is bad and is served in what could be mistaken for a shotglass. A 'large' pizza which is probably good for two people costs you over $24 plus $4-5 PER TOPPING. Paper plates and plastic cups. Spent $55 for a bad taste in my mouth..

It was more fun before their massive expansion years back. If you're looking for a local vibe, this isn't your place. They know how to make a great pizza but it's certainly not the best in NY.

Was impressed with the mention 1st pizza place in the USA.
Visited the restaurant with family last Friday. Reservations cannot be made on Friday so we went there at random.
Table for 6 by the restaurant through the kitchen stairs to a kind of covered terrace under an air conditioning that could not be turned off.
Ordered pizzas, salads and the meatballs.
1 pizza burned and forgot the pizza calzone.
After everyone was finished I got the calzone which was also quite burnt.
Very sorry that you proudly state that you are the First Pizzeria in the States and cannot even serve decent food and stop people somewhere far away under lousy conditions.
Tourists don't be tempted by the mention !!!!!!!!

The pizza here is sub-par, and the atmosphere is kitschy. Ignore the self-promoting hype and look elsewhere for good pizza.

Possibly the best pizzeria in the US. Just go with the flow. Only go if you are willing to order items that Lombardi's is famous for. It's not about you. Lombardi's won't change. Either you want the Lombardi's experience or not. It is not for everyone. Suggestions below.

PIZZA: The pizza is heavenly. Soft and crispy in the right places. Fresh, flavorful ingredients. If you are unsure, then go with the Margherita or maybe add one topping. Choose a pizza that Lombardi's does well.

SALAD: The salads are simple but good. Nothing fancy but fresh. They are great starter for pizza. Ex: (1. ) house salad, (2.) antipasto or (3.) tomato/mozzarella.

DRINK: Get the red wine. Ex: (1.) Montepulciano or maybe (2.) Chianti. Add a bottle of spring water.

The service and waits (sometimes) are not the best. I won't lie to you.

Just imagine that you are in Italy. If you fight it, then you will not have a great dinner. A wonderful time awaits. Bring a few friends and go with it.

Right long wait before getting a table. Is quite expensive, but the pizza was very good. The service staff was not that good.

This restaurant is a typical Italian restaurant with very nice environment and very good food. We've ordered a pizza margarita that was really tasteful. They always serve for free a glass of water per person besides of what you order. The pizza was served really fast and for a while we felt like we were in Italy. The only bad thing to point out is their cue system that is really advanced, but unfortunately made us lose almost 1hour waiting for a table for 2 person. Besides of the cue, the general experience was good.

Disappointing. I gave it 3 stars because the server was entirely nice. Drove up from Philly for the afternoon to treat my teenage son. Our local pizza in the Philly burbs is a lot better. The pizza here was thin, with sparse sauce and sparse cheese. The crust was overdone and had a char taste. That's not an accident. They do pizza "well done." It just wasn't much food and it wasn't all that tasty.

Still my favorite pizza place. Best NYC water ever! Order regular pie and you will be in heaven.

The first time I actually tried a cale zone and it was awesome. The pizza was so worth it. So perfect. We didn't have to wait half the time they said. 10/10 would eat it again

Pizza was great but our waiter the worst. Did not even come ask us how things were. My friend order a glass of Chianti and before I could say I wanted a glass of wine he was gone. He dropped off pizza on the run and delivered check with anything else. Very rude.

Highly recommended place in Little Italy.

A New York legend who lives from his past and tourists. The pizzas are just ok but are overpriced. To avoid. There are so many other places to discover in New York.

It was my first time eating there and I don't have a bad thing to say. The staff was extremely nice and the food was delicious. I highly reccomend the bruschetta, margherita pizza, and the white pizza.

Every other NY slice I've ever had has been better and at a third the price. The pizza was one of the most underwhelming, boring slices I've ever had: thin, with sparse sauce and even sparser cheese. Add on the fact that a 18" pie here costs north of $25 and it's absolutely crazy that this place is still in business. Absolute tourist trap. The only thing stopping this from being 1 star is that the service was very good.

The place is always pretty crowded and therefore there is a very long wait sometimes. The pizza is OK. However, in the past they had a dessert shop right around the corner and they had the best tiramisu in the world. As that place doesn t exist anymore, it s unfortunately one big less reason to visit Lombardi s...

We came here because this pizzeria has very good reviews and is also recommended by the backpacker but frankly .. it's not worth the price and the rave reviews at all .. certainly the pizza is not bad but $ 28 a pizza we tell you enough for 2 and actually it's the size of a pizza for one person it's expensive .. plastic plates and glasses .. in short there is much better for less!

Too many people, we are entitled to a pager that rings when a place is released. We waited 30 minutes to be served quickly, because many people wait. In the end, pizza very good, but we preferred the welcome to Pala Pizza and the pizza was excellent too. Not even finished our pizzas that already brought us the bill and cleared our tables. In short, for a romantic evening I recommend Pala Pizza (and you better book)

I went around 3 P.M. and there weren't any lines so we got seated almost immediately.
Obviously, we ordered pizza. It is one of the best pizza's I've eaten so far. If I had to rank pizza restaurants, Lombardi's would be #1.

Definitely will come back for round 2!

Pizza was really good. Had the "buddy's special". If in New York City for the first time it's a must eat kinda place even if it's just to say you've experienced it. I'm taking into consideration that it's located in NYC so I know it wasn't going to be cheap but the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is only one size of pies which is on the smaller side and the pie was 30 dollars? That's my only gripe... Offer different sizes. The atmosphere was great though. Located in little Italy where the smell of the sauce is permiating down the streets and alley ways in an intoxicating aroma of homemade sauce! Yum! Inside was typical for most pizza joints but very comfortable and homey feel to it! Overall good experience!

I'd rate this somewhere between a 3 and 4. It's a classic place, but mainly for tourists now. Not one of the top in NYC in my opinion.

We did not stay. They only do cash only and pizza starts around $30.00 for 8 slice pie. They might be the oldest pizzeria but it's still too much. Sorry it's just not worth it to me.
