You know, Lombardi's is great for traditional style. But when we got our pizza it wasn't cut with care and honestly was dry and didn't taste as good as you would think from a legendary place. It's a one and done type of place. If you want a contempary and up and coming type of pizza, I'd rather something closer to Nick's Pizzabar.

Excellent pizza. I had to try a pie from the first pizzeria on the books. The crust is crispy and cooked to perfection, the sauce is robust with the right amount of sweetness and spice, and the mozzarella is lightly burned and savory. Amazing pizza and an amazing experience.

Great pizza crust ... you will get the taste and feel of an old brick oven ... the sauce lets the tomatoes and basil speak, not sweetened with sugar. The crust was great due to the extremely hot brick oven...
Cash only ... its fine for kids
Go to the back during winter you will be over the oven and enjoy a warm toasty room

If you're looking for a classic thin and crispy New York style place, with top quality ingredients and cooked in a coal oven, this is the place.

Very tasty and delicious pizza, with a great ambience.

The size is standardized to a 12" pie, with 6 slices, which it's a good portion for two.

We love ny pizza. Lombardi's lives up to it's reputation. Ordered the large margerita and Cake Boss special. Pizzas were so large we could have just ordered one. Order came out fast. Pizzas were excellent. Thin crust and sauce were just perfect. One caveat though...the only take cash. No credit or debit cards.

Unique taste! I've had a lot of different pizzas from different places and this is now one of my favorites! The crust is crunchy and flavorful, the toppings are delightful and not overpowering. It's a combination that let's you taste each part of the pie without compromising. Try a slice without folding it in half to enjoy each flavor and its subtleties or fold the slice for a instant punch of flavor goodness. Anyway you slice it, Lombardi's is a pizza place to remember.

Bottom line - too expensive! The $3 deal at "2 Bros Pizza" is only marginally behind this place as far as great pizza goes. Save yourself money, this place is nothing special! A small pizza with one specialty topping will run you $30! Crazy! Even for NYC!

Delicious old style simple thin crusted coal oven pizza in a historic place in Little Italy of NYC pretty much can sum up this place! But it has got awesome meatballs too! Grandma's Meatballs! Two big balls of meat.. extremely delicious! We had Original Margherita and Grandma's Meatballs. The pizza was good. It gives you a feeling of old rusty smoky pie. But dining in America's first pizzeria is a great thing in itself! Don't forget to click some photos with the signs!

I believe this is the oldest pizza place in New York.

HIGHLY recommend! They have both white pizza and pizza with tomato sauce. Both are terrific. The crust isn't too thick and the pizzas are a great size.

If you visiting New York you must come to this pizza place is the oldest in the city (may be the oldest with license in the country) the original family still owns it.

Really delicious pizzas. You can pick a pizza with two different toppings and one large pizza was more than enough for two people. Even we got there right at the rush hour the wait wasn't long and we were happy with the service.

Traveled all the way from Missouri with great reviews from family members who have visited before. We experienced fast service and great pizza. I know this will be a first stop to eat whenever we are in New York.

A few of my friends suggested that this is one of the best pizza places in NYC. So me and my friends thought to check it out. And we were not disappointed at all! If you're a pizza lover, this place should be on your list!

We showed up without a rsvp. Wait time wasn't long even with the little line up outside.
The host was friendly and welcoming. I loved how we walked through part of their kitchen to get to their second dining room. Waiters were pretty friendly, fast and professional. Quite a few choices to chose from.
We ordered 1 pizza and added a topping to onehalf. Tasty but a little pricey. I was not very impressed but I would give this place a second chance because the pizza crust was amazing!

Great Pizza, the coal oven is notocable. The pizza is crisp. However the pizzas were very inadequatly cut, resulting in major frustration trying to tear the pizza in okay pices. Additionally it was somewhat burned, and not being able to pay with card is quite bad, especially considering the very high prices.

I went and unfortunately we could not sit down to eat because we were late ... but they still allowed us to order a pizza to go! ONE OF THE BEST PIZZAS in the World ... totally incomparable its flavor

I didn't get what was the fuzz about this apparently 'famous' and traditional food place. Bad pizza served in a cardboard plate, silly wine glasses and bad cheap wine, plastic cups for water. There are plenty of better places for pizza in NYC, like Eataly.

Incredibly expensive ... 65 euros for a mediocre pepperoni pizza with cheese, a normal salad, a zero coke and a beer !!! Excessive the price for what it was, the only positive: the friendly waiters and the place is curious !!

We were suggested Lombardi's by several locals who told us it was one of the best pizza restaurants in New York. We came away very dissatisfied. Firstly, when we entered with big glaring sign that says cash only (give me a break). Next, although restaurant was not full, they seated us right next to the toilet, enough said.
Finally the pizza which we received in great anticipation, the dough was undercooked.

Oh and the service is poor!

Xoxoxoxo

Thin crust pizza was ok. Not very many toppings put on the pizza considering you get charged by the topping. Breadsticks have no seasoning. They are pretty much chunks of pizza dough. Had much better luck with pizza by the slice from small pizza shops.

Big crowds, long wait. Still, I'm glad we went. The food and drinks were excellent! You can get cheaper pizza, but this has that nice historic vibe. Pricey, but worth it if you haven't been.

Great pizza place with a part of history! Everybody is very attentive and respectful! The pizza was large (we were told enough for 2) with 8 slices in total. There was also the option of a personal size.
Minutes later, pizza arrived. Looked good and smelled! The pizza was so delicious!

Pricey

We loved eating here. We came with very hungry children and adults after walking around nyc in the cold. Our waiter was amazing, he took the time to take all our orders and the food came really quickly. The pasta here is amazing and we definitely finished all our food. Very friendly family atmosphere and kids are definitely welcome. We absolutely loved our waiter and he made the whole experience very worthwhile.
