Took my niece and her family visiting from the Philippines for an "introduction" to NY pizza and known for being the "first" pizzeria in NYC ...ordered their famous margherita pizza..BIG MISTAKE! Pizza was mediocre and their "large" is a typical small size from other NY pizzerias for the price. Very disappointing :/ Will never come back nor recommend this to anyone ever.

A famous New York pizza restaurant. Quite lined up.
There are two types of pizza: Margherita and White. White is mozzarella with garlic. One piece is huge as it is, so if you want to eat both types, it is recommended to go with more than three people.
Since the dishes and cups are disposable, I couldn't feel a sense of luxury, and it was a delicate feeling.

4.1 rating? Really? We payed over $60 for two paper thin large pizzas and one of the two was just plain cheese! The sauce, what there was of it, was delicious but I ve had better frozen pizzas. It s a tourist trap.

Very happy with our experience! We showed up with a party of 12 on a busy Saturday (2/15/2020) night. The wait was reasonable 30 minutes, the host and waiter (Luis) were very attentive and friendly. The pizza was reasonably priced and taste 9/10. We ordered the rustic pepperoni and veggie pizza and my friends ordered others. Crust was thin and toasty and ingredients tasted good. Would definitely return and highly recommend if in the area.

This place man...lemme tell ya. It claims to be the first pizza place in the states. So you would expect it to be pretty good. Bruh! Papa John's Is way better. The pizza was small and too expensive for a the size. It was the size of a cheese cake. I couldn't take it. The service was okay tho. The one thing good tho I do admit was the bruschetta and asparagus pizza . Was pretty tasty. Not enough fo me to go back

We stopped here for lunch while down in the SOHO area. We were told it d be about a 20 minute wait however it was much quicker. Our waiter quickly took our order and the food arrived fast. The pizza was phenomenal! Located near many shops and a subway for easy transit. Would definitely stop here again!

We arrived with high expectations once we heard that this should be the oldest pizza place in New York. Starting with the positive thing: the taste of the pizza was really good. But at no time we had the feeling to be in a restaurant with an authentic Italian atmosphere. Regarding interior decoration and service there is much room for improvement. We ordered a Ceasar Salad which was out at that day. No problem, but they have not even offered bread to the alternative salad. Desert was only offered as take away. Cash only. My point of view: the really high prices don t come along with an appropriate performance. Next time - next try in another pizza place.

They claim to be the first pizza place in the US, and the one that brought pizza culture to the mainland. They have been there since 1901 (if I'm not mistaken). It is very worth knowing! The pizza is very tasty, friendly and reasonably priced. worth it

When people say NYC pizza is the best pizza, they are not talking for the 99cent pizza joints! They talking exactly about Lombardi's pizza! It's not one of the best, it's the best pizza in the town! The service is excellent, the taste of pizza even better! Everytime i get there, they have fresh pizza full of flavor!

Very delicious pizza. A very old, traditional NYC pizza place that brings you to the roots of cuisine in NYC.

The seating area is fairly small and tucked out of the way so walking to your table is slightly awkward. But the pizza is definitely worth it.

A+ experience! Quick service for a NYC pizza favorite, great Italian style ambiance, and good customer service. This is by far my favorite NYC pizza place. It is always busy with a wait but this is NYC. Pizzas are what make this my favorite NYC.

We waited an hour for the so called best pizza in the world. If this is what you are expecting you will be sadly disappointed. Any corner pizza shop in NYC has comparable pizza without the wait.

It's good pizza. If you have Grimaldi's in your town, it's very similar. It is not the classic NY slice type of pie (pizza). If you have never had brick oven pizza, then you should definitely try it. CASH ONLY.

One of the best pies in the city ... The recommended had been the Margarita and White pizza... so we got a half and half but with pepperoni on the Margarita side. Think the White has too much Ricotta cheese stuffed, so may skip that the next time.

Paper through away plates even when ordering a salad to share. What a pity they didn't replace the dishwasher when it broke some time back. At least that's what we were told. Pizza was okish. Won't return.

Lombardi's is a NYC staple. My husband and I went here last night with high expectations. The pizza is good but not great, and is VERY overpriced. We got a large margarita, and a small pepperoni with extra cheese, two soft drinks and our bill was $70. Each "topping" is $5. When we received the pepperoni pie, there was hardly any pepperoni on it! CASH ONLY!!!

If you want the best pizza, go to Frank Pepe's in New Haven, CT. You will NOT be disappointed!

I was very excited to meet the famous Lombardis but it was a sad disappointment.
Guys, let's be honest, for God's sake.
The place lives only on history. The pizza is definitely not the best.
I recommend Prince St Pizza.
