Nice people, nice location, nice clam pie. Local but just never tried Lombardi's. It was too cold to go to Brooklyn, so we stayed in the West Village! Glad we did.

Heard a lot about it. It's just pizza. Could use a broader menu
Great pizza. The crust is amazing.
It isn't cheap and drinks are also expensive, but it is exactly the type of place you should visit is looking for that unique NYC experience.
Easy to get to right off a subway stop a couple blocks away. Busy place, don't be surprised if you have to wait.
Pizza was super good. Honestly, go eat here if you can. The sauce on the pizza is incredible. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it's cash only.
touristic place, pizza are good but not as good as in Italia.
The best pizza out of the 10 I tried in NYC. Including all the well known TV joints. Do your self a favor make this a stop in NYC
Scotty's Pizza Tours brought me here amd it was a great non-neopolitan way to get our tour started.
A great sturdy crust that's not overly greasy
The oldest in the US and still the best. Timo at the bar is not to be missed
Coal oven flavor, crisp crust, delicious sauce and mazzarella ...loved it
I was sad when the pizza was finished. Also, the bruschetta appetizer was fantastic.
simple and very good pizza said by an Italian who ate it in Naples
The pizza was pretty good, just a little expensive! But the ingredients tasted so fresh!!
The food is good, you have to go with time as it gets full. The only downside is that they do not accept a card.
Delicious pizza! Excellent treatment. We loved the Buddy's Special (prosciutto, arugula). A very pleasant experience in Little Italy. And they recommended Ferraras for dessert. Another amazing place.
Pizza was good, nothing to brag about, but what do I know,im a steak kinda guy, bring cash they dont accept debit/credit card.small glass of wine is 8 dollars. Pizza place is a landmark.
Good pizza very pricey for the size of the pizza but it was good , also the grandma meatballs we're good just lacking flavor but a little red pepper made it work !
My daughter is obsessed with high end pizza so I decided to take her to the very first pizza joint in America. It didn't disappoint one bit. The whole experience was outstanding. The crust was thin, crispy and delicious, the toppings were fresh and perfect and the service was outstanding. The ambiance was full little Italy. If you love pizza and you are visiting NY, you have got to eat here!
Very average pizza. The sauce was watery, the pepperoni weak and tasted vaguely of aniseed. There were very few "wild" mushrooms. The cheese was uninteresting. The olives were great.
Not worth the 33$. Applebee's pizza was far better.
I do not know if it's the best pizza in New York but frankly it's downright excellent
Biggest slice of ! You better have your appetite ready.
I've been searching for the perfect pizza all my life. Lombardi's has stood the test of time for a reason, and now I know why
The place was OK but I found it not living up to the hype.
Average pizza, almost non-existent service, and completely overpriced for the quality and size of pizza.
This place was awesome. To be honest, I expected to be let down. But no way that was happening
One of the best Pizza's from my time in NY. Best go for lunch to beat the crowds.
Only cash no listed online you should tell people before hand
Authentic New York Italian restaurant. Food was great but be aware they only take cash. Very popular place so try a drink at the bar. Real OG bartender mixing up so great classics
Classic coal oven pizza at iconic establishment. Busy but totally worth the wait.
The place is AMAZING and very cool and warm, pizza is delicious and came so fast - 5 minutes after we ordered. Prices are a little bit bigger than at usual pizzerias but thats ok. Its worth it . Service exelente
Superb authentic neopolitan pizza. Crust done just right. Tasty sauce. Light layer of cheese. Red checkered table cloths. Cold beer. Small place, worth the wait!
Look the place has been around for 100 years, so you would hope that they have figured out how to make pizza by now. The good news is that they have, and the pizza is excellent, if not a little pricey.
Beautiful inside and outside, and wait staff was nice. The price does not match the taste of the food. Go to it once, but don't do it more than that. Can't take away its history, but its very lackluster.
This place is an iconic pizza joint so it was a must for me to go and visit while being in NYC. I wanted to get a pizza but since it was just me I decided to get a calzone. I ve never had one before so it was great to try it in an authentic Italian restaurant. I got the calzone with added spinach and mushrooms. I don t eat meat and it was fantastic. The service was great and they even accommodated me with charging my phone behind the counter which was nice. Had a beer and my tab was a little high but it was worth it. Stop by if you re in NYC! Cheers
The pizza is pretty good, but the wait staff was so hard to track down, and it felt weird being lead through the kitchen to be sat in back near the drink machine. All in all there are so many pizza places in NY, I probably wouldn't go there again. It took forever, the prices reflect the location and in the end we never bothered waiting for the guy to bring back our box for our leftovers. I wondered after a little while if they just didn't have boxes but for some reason didn't tell us? Ah well, cest la vie.
Good customer service, too expensive and very poor pizza
The first pizzeria in New York. 150 years. Worth every cent
Pizza was fantastic. Crust was crispy and not overly cookee. Red sauce was light and fresh tasting with the right amount of seasoning. Will be back.
Questionable objection, inedible pizza, too high prices, they bring you disposable plates and cutlery and you arrange yourself ...
To be canceled from all the New York tourist guides
What can I say about Lombardi s, it is a great traditional new york pizza place, it is the first pizza place we tried in new york, it was an amazing experience, really tasty pizza, good efficient service, ensure you bring cash, it can get busy. Little italy s most famous pizza place!
We always make it a point to come and visit Lombardy's because it's my husband's favorite Italian place. This place only takes cash and there is an ATM at the restaurant if not there's one across the street with a less interest rate removed. There is only pizza and appetizers here. We ordered meat balls to start which were on mazing flavorful and a large serving I pretty much ate 1 of the 4 meatballs. This particular Italian pizza is send crust brick oven baked so don't add a lot of toppings simple 1 the 3 toppings is only necessary. We made the mistake of putting 5 to 6 and the waiter did not advise as to take any topping so that pizza was too heavy and wet and it was disgusting but we tried to make the best of it looking forward to the next time where we can experience this place again.
Historic slice, I would give it a 3.5 but we'll round it to a 4 because it didn't live up the hype to me since I've tried some really great pizza joints in NY. If you're a foreigner or out-of-towner, you wouldn't be wrong in trying this place, and I really wouldn't blame you.
Decided to try out a new pizza place and chose Lombardis based on countless reviews. I have to say it's pretty good pizza! I enjoyed it a lot! However it's still not my favourite pizza. I would definitely come back though! Having to pay only in Cash was an inconvenience, but it wouldn't push me away from coming back. It wasn't a big deal, just thought I should note it. Now I just know to bring cash and thus avoid the ATM!
Pretty damn good new York pizza. Not the best but pretty good. Extremely expensive though, typical for ny
Only 5 pizzas, but more than enough we order a big pizza and a side dish of meatballs. pizza crunchier than italian pizza. nice place, maybe to many pictures... but i love the food and the waiters really nice.
The pizza is low and crunchy but a little "tirona", poor quality and offer ... very high price ... in pizza kiosks by slice you eat much better pizza ... pity
Great staff! Amazing food! Busy but very fast! Historically known! please do yourself a favor and go. :-) Its fun to try once. First pizzaria in America. If you love pizza give it a try.
I do not want to distinguish between taste and taste. It is not recommended if you are looking forward to a roasted pizza. If you like authentic Napoli pizza, you can not taste delicious taste.
Nice place, rich pizza with good ingredients. Expensive, paper plates. Only cash and the ballot handwritten on paper and they charged us 10% tax plus gratuity. Then we saw in other places it was much less. Wouldn't you suspect?
I think this was my favourite pizza, beautiful and clean place, the service was excellent.
The restaurant itself is more than meets the eye as it can accommodate a large crowd. The atmosphere was very rustic and shows the history of the longevity as the first pizzeria in the U.S. I myself was very excited to try Lombardi's but it was ok to me. The pizza is of great quality but the experience overall was not worth the price. Each pizza was around 12" for $30 per pizza. It was great to try once but I'm not convinced to revisit anytime soon.
Rich classic pizza, prices a little expensive, from 25 to 35 dollars, there were few varieties of pizza, we tried the Buddy and it was good, but it was missing something, the sauce very good and the dough too
Amazingly friendly staff, fast service and the bathroom was spotless. The food was also very good.
It's been 2 years...time to introduce you to the family...
Excellent pizza pie and quick service. Enjoyed my time at the oldest pizzeria in New York.
Got there as they were closing and they still had great service.
We tried the white pizza (without sauce) and it was unlike any other pizza. Service was very nice and the price was very reasonable for the portions. We were 3 people and could only try the one pie. Would also recommend the ice cream floats. We want to visit again to try the other offerings.
Old school pizza, reasonable price, great atmosphere. We got a large, half Margarita, half White pizza for about $25. No wait on a Monday night. Great service and comfy atmosphere, but not too quiet. The pizza isn t the best I ve ever had, but it s really good for coal fire pizza.
The first pizza place in America, and probably the best. The pizza was amazing. So were the meatballs (I could have licked the plate, the sauce was so fricking good). A huge surprise was the wedge salad: it was incredible (the blue cheese dressing deserves a special mention). If you love pizza, you need to put this place on your bucket list.
Because the main part of the restaurant was full, we had to go to the upstairs part. They took us past the kitchen and into a creepy alley-looking place. So, in terms of the ambiance, it was pretty strange. But the main part of the experience is the food. First of all, the prices are ridiculously expensive. $21.50 for a basic pizza? You're kidding me. And on top of that, cash only. At least there are ATM's for our convenience! Did I mention they didn't even use real plates, cups, or napkins? Oh, and for drinks, which to reinforce are in plastic cups, they're fountain drinks, but there are no refills allowed. Let's just say you're much better off looking for a pizza that doesn't cost you about two hours of work and that is just as fresh and high-quality. Capitalism has a way of hyping food that's self-proclaimed part of "the first pizzeria in America" and managing to rid your wallet of money that could be put to better use.
Had reservations about trying this pizza as I prefer the neopolitan.
I was pleasantly surprised with my first bite, so crunchy and packed with flavor.
I enjoyed my pepperoni square and recommend the margarita as my second choice
Liked it alot better years ago. Before they made it bigger and more touristy.
Great, delicious fresh pizza. We have the tip from the guide and it is absolutely worth to stop by. Great, fast and friendly service. Anytime again!
