Place of worship par excellence! Local average price I subscribe to authentic Italian. Fine dough and excellent products of good size. From a simple margarita to the excellent clam. For me the best calzone.

Mediocre pizza and overpriced. Sauce was bland and watered down. Breadsticks were stale and dry. Large, two topping (16 ) was $34. This place was not worth the 45 minute wait. Cash only. Bathrooms were clean.

Busy, busy, busy on a Tuesday night - can't imagine what it must be like at the weekend - but they fitted us in. Initially we were surprised by the prices - $20 per pizza - but we soon saw that a large pizza could easily serve 3 - 4 people. Green salad starter was excellent as was the pizza and the service - would happily go back if there weren't so many other places still to try

Overrated and overpriced !! It has become a tourist trap based on a long ago reputation. Ate there last year, disappointed. Gave it another try yesterday with a relative from California and apologized to her for how bad the margarita pie was, tasteless and cardboard like. Embarrassing.

Honestly, I was so very hungry that it helped to have it eaten. I ve order a Margherita. The pizza barely as cheese and no basil leaves. The sauce is not even close to a good sauce and it had no tomatoes. Not coming back.

Delicious! Especially the meatballs. Pizza crusty is this and fresh. Brick oven is the best. Casual and comfy atmosphere. Simple menu with enough to choose from, but not so much to overwhelm you. Fast service. Clean bathroom. Only issue is that they use paper plates, so not so eco friendly.

We found it listed in Frommers (listed but not recommended). After a long walk there we were surprised to learn they did not take credit cards. With little cash left, but two hungry kids, we had no alternative. Unfortunately, the pizza turned out to be one of the worst and overpriced I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot of pizza in many cities). It had very little cheese, flavorless sauce and burnt crust. Add to that plastic forks and glasses. Two days latter a local told us about "Little Italy" a small pizza place on the upper West Side (Broadway & 71st). It was fantastic and half the price we paid at Lombardi's. I wish someone had told us to not waste our time and money at Lombardi's.

Best Pizza in town. Lombardi's is the oldest pizza place in NYC and famous so your not just paying for the Pizza but it's totally worth it. If the restaurant wasn't so insanely loud it would have garnered a 5 from me. But With so many people in such a little space it has to be expected. Don't miss this place on your next trip to NYC and if you live here why haven't you been yet?

Lombardi's is very high quality pizza with only a few things that could use improvement. Three problems:
1)The cheese is a thin and sporadic, I get that this is the old Italian way of making pizza, but I suspect that limited cheese was to keep cost down, at 16.50 for a small pizza I don't thinking having a pie with plenty of cheese is too much to ask.
2)The sauce is good, but not great, it's sweet but not quite as complex in flavor as I normally enjoy.
Price - it is expensive. As I said 16.50 for a small pizza that realistically speaking 1 person can finish alone. I'd be more forgiving of this if the pizza was mind blowing as oppose to merely being very good.
However non of these things are deal breakers, it's still really tasty pizza and definitely worth getting. The service is really good also.
One note about the toppings, specifically the sweet Italian sausage, I'd recommend it, this is really good sausage and adds tremendously to the flavor, however the sausage is EXTREMELY salty make sure your prepared for that (ie if your going to be walking around the city all day choose another topping).

I do not know if one day it was something, but today they make a medium quality pizza (if we take into account an Italian standard that is what it intends and charges you for it) with only 2 options. If you are in the area and there is another free place, try it, if it is full, come to this one.

Pizza is delicious. Small (6 slice) is a snack for two. We got a margherita with pepperoni added. Very old style Italian vibe. They referenced this place in Netflix's The Punisher, season 2. Check it out!

I was quite excited to dine here with friends since they were raving a lot about the place. The place was simple and not that big, we had to wait in line a bit. We got clam and the basic pie. I was expecting the usual pizza taste but was really surprised on how good it was. The crust was perfect and the service also very good.

I'm really biased when it comes to Lombardi's. I've been a big fan of Lombardi's for nearly twenty-five years and the history of Lombardi's has always impressed me.

For the twenty-five years I've been getting pizza here, I've noticed the product going up and down and different times. When it's good...it's extremely good. Other times, it's not bad, but just not as good. Sometimes the pizza could be really soggy. Usually in that case, I take majority of it home and heat it in the toaster oven the following day.

We're not the type of people who order a pizza with every phreakin topping on it....not into that overkill type. We get along fine with just one topping such as pepperoni or sausage...sometimes sausage & mushroom. So considering that, our pizza shouldn't be so soggy, but there are times it happens.

Service here has always been good. Even though we've had slight issues with the pizza, I'm still giving this place five stars because overall, this place is great.

New York Style Authentic, cash only so be aware (ATM inside), service is fast, we had a bruschetta for appetizer, incredible an a large half white, half Margherita also incredible, you must try it

Nothing special really with their pizza really, i've had way better tasting pizzas somewhere else at a reasonable price. The ingredients for the toppings were great but i'm not happy with their crust particularly when it's already cold. I've read a lot of positive comments on their crust but my experience is the exact opposite...maybe we came on a bad day? But that's what we had experienced.

I'm a big fan of pizza, and when I was walking by and saw their sign noting they were voted Best Pizza in the World, I figured I'd best try it out. Sure enough, it was darn good pizza. It's on the expensive side (though, to be fair, everything in New York City seems kind of expensive to me) but I thought it was worth trying out. I can't say I've ever had better New York-style pizza.

I do not believe this place is worth the wait. The pizza was good, not great. I can honestly say that the only way I would eat here again would be if I were able to walk right up and get a table. I am more inclined to try the other pizza establishments around the corner if I have to wait at all. I can cross this place of the to-do list and move forward. It was not all bad once we were seated. Try the wedge salad. A large portion to share between 2-4 people is a great start to a meal here. Overall, an above average experience and nothing more.
