I had some high expectations from this place but it turned out to be just okay. The crust was very thin and it came out kind of burnt. Taste was only also average. I can honestly say I've had better from my local pizzeria.

Pizza was good and we were surprised we actually got in on our first try. We had heard it was crazy trying to get in. We went in on a Sunday night around 6:30pm. Only waited about 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. We got the margherita pizza. The basil on top was so good! Really brings out the flavor if the sauce.

Honestly not spewing hyperbole, it was the best pizza I have ever had. It's not free, but whatever you have to pay, it's worth it, 100%. Words to the wise, I would expect at least a 15 minute wait close to meal times.

As you probably already know, Lombardi's was the first pizza place in NYC. They sure know how to make amazing pizza! We got calzones, and the dough was soft inside and crispy outside. Great pepperoni, and if course amazing mozzarella cheese. If you want pizza in Manhattan you must visit this charming little place! Our server was amazing, and the entire staff was also great.

Good pizza although pricey. The pricing is understandable because of the history behind the place. It being the first pizzeria in New York. Overall, the pizza is good but it really is all hype.

Delicious pizza and calzones. The clam pizza was especially good. The only thing that makes this place four stars is the fact that it seems overly pricey. Especially for how simple the atmosphere in the restaurant is.

1 pie was averaged about $25, way overpriced. I will say the pizza was good, the place is big with a lot of seating. The other 2 things that was a bummer was cash only, had to go to ATM, and last but not least, NO COFEE/ESPRESSO/TEA. Never known 'restaurants' to not offer.

Really mouthwatering pizzeria, nicely decorated with great staff that is really friendly and knows their pizzas. Their main pizzas were delicious, the meatballs were soft and full of flavour. Some Craft beer available which only makes it better.

Awesome pizza. A large between 2 is definitely enough. We had half white and half original, both are really good. Don't sit downstairs if you can help it, it isn't great down there and you miss out on the experience a bit.

Good pie, good sauce, but nothing out of this world... bring your wallet and make sure it has cash in it... you're going to need it! Pricing is on the high side but the service wouldn't make you think that...

Loved the pizza. It has a great flavour and a very thin crust. Always add the ricotta your flavour palate will thank you. The only thing is I wish they added more cheese and less sauce. But that s a personal preference!

Growing up in NYC, I always had great (I thought) authentic NY pizza- until Lombardi's. Their pizza raised my awareness to new heights. Thin, crispy, delicious- my family couldn't get enough. Bought a tee-shirt to cry into as I eat other, everyday NY pizza. JUST GO!!!

Absolutely amazing! I ve been going there since I was a kid and it never disappoints. They have some of the best pizza I have ever tasted. They are also one of the only places that use a brick oven, which definitely makes the pizza taste ten times better. Through the decades the place has manages to keep it s authentic Italian charm and great service. The place can be crowded depending on when you go but luckily the restaurant is pretty big and the pizza comes very quickly. One thing the place does not do is vegan/alternative options which is a bit of a shame, but the pizza is so amazing that it hands down stilk deserves 5 stars. A MUST if visiting New York.

We ordered the traditional Margarita Pizza with no toppings. We also ordered Lemon and Blood orange spitzers. We were there at 5 P.M and were told wait time of 15 minutes. The host was very polite and made small conversation while we were waiting. We were seated in the 15 min window. The server was prompt and pizza arrived quick too. As always fantastic pizza. Both drinks were good. I would go back again. Too bad they do not have any tiramisu there ;)

I was very disapointed with my visit at Lombardi's. There are very few pizzas in the menu and the pizza itself was below average. I cannot recommend it.
From the first Italian in NY much more should be expected!

Considered the original place were Pizza was born in NY. The place is an institution for pizza. You have to try more then one type. It is absolutely well cooked and full of flavors. Staff is very friendly and sometime they allow you to check the kitchen with original oven. Well done.

This place was recommended to us and was well worth recommendation. You cannot order by the slice, you must order a whole pizza but it was delicious. We ended up ordering a half pepperoni, half olive cheese pizza. The sauce is savory, salty and delicious. The crust is delicious and crispy. The service was not overly slow but because as in just about every restaurant in New York, the area is small and sitting is limited there was a medium long wait in line waiting for a table. I didn't really care. The smell is coming out of that kitchen were delicious and when we did sit down the service was fast and friendly.
They do not deliver but you can order a pizza for pickup. Given that it is such a small space there was quite a line for the restroom. It was definitely worth going out of our way to eat here. When I return to New York City I will make it a point to come back. Another recommendation for a pizza place was Mama's Too. It is hard to compare these as the two pizzas were so very differentso I would be hard-pressed to recommend one over the other. You simply have to try both and make up your mind which one you prefer.

If you want the best and original pizza since day 1 in NY. Come no further, and don't go anywhere else. This is a place for everyone with high quality pizza. Must bring cash for the experience

Poor experience from the start. Was told 45 min wait and given a buzzer to let us know. Hour goes by and folks who we met and who checked in after us were buzzed to go up. We talk to hostess and was told 'our number was missing'. We were seated near a bathroom, ordered a salad to share and pizza. While waiting for our food, toilet on bathroom overflowed (not fault of restaurant), and we witnessed them bringing a mop to clean it, minus the bucket, and then taking the dripping mop through the restaurant. Salad received was basically a bucket of lettuce with two tomatoes, three pieces of mushroom and a sprinkle of onion for $14. Our pizza was ok. Our server didn't smile until we left.

We somehow hadn t heard about Lombardi s until our theater usher at The Lyric Theatre, Hector (amazing guy!), recommended us. So much charm and character...and the pizza was PHENOMENAL. We ordered a Lg. Margherita Pizza and a Lg. Buddy pizza both were fantastic and our party of 4 left ZERO leftovers. Be advised, it is CASH ONLY, but there is an ATM on site! The sauce was great, the ingredients were flavorful and fresh, and the crust was downright EPIC. Thanks, Lombardi s

Used to my fave pizza place in NYC. Something has changed. Breadsticks were stale and cold, previously baked (day old stale) and the meatballs on the pizza were store-bought. Not their famous meatball recipe that they used to serve on the pizza. No lines to be seated should have been our first clue. No longer worth the trip to visit. What a loss. It will be a Grimaldi s trip next time.

Although their Pizza is tasty and the crust is nice, they've increased their prices yet again. It's $25 for an eight-slice "large" pizza. You typically wouldn't see a local person eating here, it's always tourists. Keep that in mind when you go.
