This is the oldest and still one of the best pizzas you're going to find in New York City. Classic thin crust homemade sauce and delicious mozzarella!!!

I went with a bunch of friends, we had a few different kind of pizza, the bean dip was good and the drinks were find . We just had a great time and the employees our friendly.

vastly over rated. crust is usually over charred to burned. cheese and pizza sauce are unremarkable. and you get to wait for it.

Antico's (in Atlanta GA) remains the best pizza I've ever had... But this was extremely good and I am very happy I stopped in. Service was OK, the server wasn't great but some bus boys helped with getting us some stuff the server seemed incapable of doing (getting us water), but the pizza was great and I'd say you should stop in for some.

Truth be told, I'm a Pepe's (New Haven, CT) man. There... I got it out in the open.

That said, it's important to partake in a slice of history - and Lombardi's IS pizza history.

The crust and sauce are perfect. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying the experience.

Going full-circle, I appreciated Lombardi's nod to New Haven by prominently displaying the white clam pie on the menu!

Clam pizza was interesting! Cozy Italian atmosphere.

Pizza was tasty! Sausage was very fresh! Be prepared for a wait, and don't forget it is cash only!

I love meat. I love pizza. I love meat on my pizza. So why am I giving five stars to a vegetarian pizza place? Because the pizzas are great, with inventive toppings you would never think to put on a pizza. I am complete addicted to the Chef's Special (broccoli rabe, dried cranberries and fresh mozzarella). Even the plain slices are off the hook with flavor and freshness.

Always a great greeting. Love the personal touch and quick service that is given. The food is great and love the neighborhood vibe. Good vibe all around. Great place to take friends and family for a night out, brunch or just to enjoy.

Pizza did NOT meet my expectations. I truly believe because they are one of the first pizzerias in NYC they think they don't have to concentrate on quality or service. Pizza was so-so; the quantity of toppings was scarce. Service was atrocious... Not only did we have to wait 10 minutes to get our drinks but after we ordered our them the waitress disregarded brining one of them. Unfortunately I will not be back.

Not what it use to be, save money. Go to Joe's or Prince street

There is a long debate in NYC on who makes the best pizza pie or slice. I believe this is in the top 5 for sure!

This place was never great but at least it used to be average. I just visited it (Sunday Night) and I had one of the most mediocre and expensive margarita pizzas I have ever eaten. I asked for a couple of olives and they wanted to sell me whole order of olives. Waiter was diligent and friendly but the atmosphere in general feels like you are in a total tourist trap. They even serve their soda in plastic cups!! Be aware and keep your distance.

I'm from Boston and The Original Regina's Pizzeria in The North End Boston was my favorite tasting Pizza. Until last Saturday I went to Lombardi's in Little Italy NY. By far the best pizza I've ever eaten, and I've eaten Pizza all over the country. We actually went there twice, my suggestion is to ask for extra mozzarella cheese, the original pizza comes with a very limited amount of cheese.

I m lactose intolerant and I was able to enjoy the full experience. The bread paired with the tomato sauce with no cheese and two sides and I was full.

If you want to eat burnt pizza for $25 to $35 definitely come here.

I went here with some coworkers tonight for the first time. Based on a recommendation from someone, on top of the commentary about it being the first pizzeria, I did not have high expectations.

However, it definitely lives up the hype. We ordered appetizers and the bruschetta was amazing. After, we ordered just a plain pepperoni pizza. It was phenomenal! I've received several pizza recommendations in NYC in the past and have been let down, but this place is worth the trip.

The only complaint I have is that they are cash only... but I'm not going to dock a star, as I understand the choice.

Food is great but plastic plates and glasses.....c'mon. Not returning just because of that.

Disappointed.. we ordered the margarita and the prosciutto with arugula pizza. Crust was like cardboard, the entire pizza was very dry and tasteless. Have had much better in NY. Pricey for what you get.

Pretty good pizza that's way too expensive. You could go to Rockefeller Center and get 2x the amount of food, and it would actually fill you. It's mediocre pizza, and the only reason I'd ever go back was to see if the wall of pictures has changed. I thought the first ever pizza place in America would be better.

If you don't have the atmosphere, you can enjoy a wood-fired pizza in a natural atmosphere. Overall, light dough and a variety of (+ and somewhat unusual) toppings with additional prices offset the high price. If you don't think about the price, if you have more than 2 people, it might be a snack

the selection was pretty standard fare, nothing new. however, the cuisine was good , fresh, no grievances here, check it out with a date or a pal or the famiglia!

I m just not a fan. I didn t like it. All the reviews I read about flavor and texture... I had to double check I was at the same place. The crust was so hard and burnt to a crisp. I ve had pizza with a crispy crust but this was way past that. Didn t even match the pictures that were inside the restaurant. It wasn t only mine. Everyone s pizza was just like mine. I ve had better pizza. I doubt I will ever be back.

Oldest pizza restaurant in new york certainly didn't disappoint! The pizza was beautiful and with a big pitcher of beer to wash it down made for a perfect weekend dinner! The staff are so friendly and take the time to talk to you even though the place is always busy! Everyone was in a good mood enjoying a Saturday night pizza it was lovely! Definitely a must visit for a pizza lover!

Staff attitude caused us to take our custom elsewhere, so glad we did found a wee treasure just round the corner.

The pizza here was phenomenal and the atmosphere quite impressive. It should be noted that they only take cash and their ATM charges an arm and a leg to withdraw.

We love the kale salad, the pizza and spaghetti with chicken meatballs. I hate the small glass cups of water. You have to refill them like 5 times makes it difficult to enjoy your food.

Hands down the best pizza I ve ever had. Was there in April during WrestleMania weekend and shared a pie with my brother and a friend of ours and there was plenty to go around. Definitely a must if you re in NYC.

Picked up a pizza here and waited at the bar with a beer. Nice atmosphere, always buzzing. Pizza was one of the best I ever had.

I've been eating at Lombardi's pizza for many year's...as a matter of fact if I can't make it there when I have to go to the city.... I'll cancel the trip....it's that good

They have a wide variety of pizza selections! Everything is delicious and you can't go wrong with any of the choices you make. I would definitely encourage you to try something new!

Underwhelming to be honest. The crust is on point but the sauce and mozzarella was just flavorless. Unsure if it was a lack of salt or what but I just felt that my expectations were not met. My bro who has eaten here quite often as a kid was also let down.

Maybe it was too hyped up and my expectations were too high.

This restaurant is a typical Italian restaurant with very nice environment and very good food. We've ordered a pizza margarita that was really tasteful. They always serve for free a glass of water per person besides of what you order. The pizza was served really fast and for a while we felt like we were in Italy.

Amazing pizza. Good luck finding parking. Order takeout or expect to wait for a table. Very small place but totally worth it.

Classic New York restaurant with classic New York pizza. Slightly to very overrun by tourists but still worth a visit once in a while.

Lombardi's is a NYC institution. Come here early and brave the line which is usually packed with tourists. The pizza here is pretty good, not sure its worth the huge waits, but you need to try it at least once.

Miniature table. Plastic cups and Paper Plates. 4 different types of pizzas available. Prize horrendous. Far away from anything italians would call Pizza. Tomatoe Sauce not on the pizza but served as a side. Why? We Asked "because on the pizza it would cook".. No comment. It was a weird experience.

i wish the decor was a little more lively and it kinda bland. the food did not compliment the atmosphere but thats ok. i guess me and my gay friends will go in there and decorate the area myself. ugly everything but food.

Visiting New York, I was advised this pizzeria. The welcome was friendly, and we had a table right away. On the menu the choice of pizzas is limited (there is also pasta, salad, ...). The service was fast, and the pizzas were ok, with a good, crisp pastry. I regret to have used, in 2019, plastic glasses and plates in cartons ... waste unnecessary and not especially justified ...

They serve delicious dishes, are very attentive to all customers. They are kind and polite. The place is pleasant and very well cleaned. The place is very welcoming. The atmosphere is familiar, the service is professional with staff trained to satisfy all your exclusives. The cuisine is delicious, ranging from simple snacks to a variety of complex yet delicious dishes. I intend to go back and recommend it without any fear ...

The best pizza in NYC. Try the calzones too. They are amazing!

Very disappointing. Horrible service. Pizza was not good at all. If you do decide to go, don't order a mixed drink as it will contain almost no alcohol. Sorry for the bad news this place is not what itvwas supposed to be.

The calamari appt was really good, but the seafood pasta was tasteless. The bar gentlemen was awesome and very attentive.
