Great location. Only waited about 12 minutes for our table on a Friday around 4. Margherita pizza was phenomenal! Staff and service were very friendly. A must stop spot for top notch pizza!!! Perfect crust and sauce is delicious.
Honestly I think this was my favourite pizza in Manhattan. Had one red base and one white, both were outstanding although I d recommend the red. Love the old school feel of the restaurant too. Highly recommended!
It's Lombardi's, what else needs to be said? The first pizzeria in the US is still one of the best. Great pizza (although not necessarily THE best in NYC), fast service. Expect a line if you come here at a regular meal time. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. Great experience all around!
Very good according to the first pizzeria in America where everything was born in America
They claim to be the 'first Italian restaurant in America'. Whether or not this is accurate the place is certainly authentic - with a maze of different areas for seating. The large pizzas are huge and can generally feed two.
Awesome pizza great atmosphere a must eat if you are in the area!!
The oldest pizzeria in the USA. Typical Italian pizza. Don't stop going.
I wouldn't say this is the best Pizza in NYC, but given the reputation and how long this Pizzaria was in NYC they are the best for old Pizza Company.
Our go to pizza in the city...we have never NOT gone to Lombardi's when we visit NYC.
Soggy crust, bland toppings. Staff was more interested in getting people in and out than taking care of us.
Always good. Felt my pizza 2 years ago was better but still like the fresh ingredients.
Special place to go. reserve if possible. a lot of people come there every day. they have really good pizza.
My son & I visited, ordered a pepperoni pizza. Fantastic Pizza - great service!
Food was good but 30 dollars for a small pizza? Portions are way too small for what they charge.
The place looked very nice and clean but there was a long wait for the pizza
Absolute BEST pizza I've EVER had! Fabulous service!
Very good attention from your employees, very attentive to all requirements
If you think that it is difficult to surprise you with some pizza, go here. Better a group of 3-4 people to try more!
Best pizza I ever ate. The flavor was terrific. You definitely have to go there if visiting NYC. They even let us take a picture by the iconic tile faced oven.
Absolutely delicious! Loved it! Best pizza I have had in awhile. Tasty, fresh, hot, great service, nice counter staff, reasonably priced, and they have beer and wine.
Pizza, pasta, caesar salad, it's all great. Missing the crowd and friendly staff during Covid. Looking forward to Lombardi's great happy hour when this all over.
There are plenty of spots to get great New York pizza, and I would say this place is only average. On busy nights (mostly weekends, of course) service can be terrible; servers often overlook small parties if you don't speak up, and pies can be slow coming out of the kitchen.
I'm not here to engage in the life or death struggle of who makes the best pie in NYC. This isn't a battle that's possible to win, ever. However, I am here to tell you Lombardi's is one of the best pies in the world. I'm saying that as a well traveled person, who has tasted multiple, regional varieties throughout all of Italy. Lombardi's is one of the few places outside of Italy that can boast being in the top tier. If you disagree, that's ok. I honestly don't give a damn. What I do want people to know who are reading this is, you shouldn't consider yourself having truly experienced NYC unless you try a fresh slice from Lombardi's. There is something in the water. The myths are real. Starve yourself a meal, go to Lombardi's, and fall into a wonderous food coma after a more than reasonable amount of consumption, and feel happy as you find a place to recline and digest afterwards in lucid bliss.
Dynamite Brickoven slice of
The 1st Pizzaria in NYC or the USA....
Very good!!!
Good pizza fast service, and a very friendly waitress (kayla)
Absolutely no restaurant in which one must have been! Food was served on paper plates and the pizza was anything but delicious. No thank you!
Way overrated for the price (not that flavorful). Nickel and dime you for everything and only take cash.
Correct pizza altought the fame of it is exaggerated for the quality. The price is high. I think i will not come back again
we went to Lombardi during our Christmas vacation to NYC. Its cash only and the wait line is long plus you cant book in advance for less than 8 people. once we got a table, the pizzas were amazing. we were group of 3 and we ordered 3 different pizzas. They all were different and delicious with great quality of meat and cheese. Its definitely expensive (30$ USD) for one pizza but we had a great time. We were glad we went there.
I don't get what's the big fuss about this place.. Tried it yesterday.. Never ever will I return!
Less than average pizza .. Very thin crust that lets the topping slide off when you hold it! Very little amout of cheese .. PAPER PLATES! And plastic cups (no refills) Very unfriendly staff.. It's like they think they're better than you! Salad portion is ridiculously small! Not a single thing impressed me in this place! And the price is not cheap at all too!
Don't be fooled with the publicity! Trust me it's a huge let down!
Just went for the first time was mildly disappointed. it was good pizza but all hype.
Pizza is very good and the traditional place is two blocks away from Little Italy
Thin or thick crust pizza is both the best here in this restaurant! The sauces and extra mozzarella is all I need, and they provided it right on. Thank you so much!
I've been wanting to try Lombardi's for a long time now, but the margherita was disappointing to say the least
Way too expensive! Sat down, read the menu & left.$35 pizza? No Way!
Good prices on delicious pizza, the wait staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and very beautiful. We plan to return on our next trip to NYC.
Good food and atmosphere. Recommend the Cake Boss pie.
I wanted a great pizza, and I was not disappointed. The wait time was awhile, but it was worth it.
Historical place cute American style nothing special to me but as for the pizza ................ Well, better to let it go for us Italians it is an offense to see that on the table you get that opprobrium that they call Italian pizza. It is also very expensive. In short, it is better to just take the picture from outside the room and go to eat somewhere else.
From the oldest pizzerias in NYC. It still retains the flavor. Only cash But there is an atm in the place
Very good service and good recommendations from the waiter, to repeat
Crowded and busy, service was OK and pizza was good, but paper plates and paper towels? Really? That's just lazy, especially at this price point.
The pizzas very good.
Regular meatballs
The expensive drinks
Ask for tap water
Amazing Pizza. What more can I say? Friendly faces, great food.
We recently ate a Lombardi's while in NYC and had their clam pizza. We were a little skeptical...what a mistake, this thing is like nothing else! Lombardi's takes their crust and brushes it with garlic butter and puts it in the oven to seal. They then put on the fresh steamed clams and put it back into the oven to get everything hot. Eating it is like having linguini and clam sauce in a crust. This is the only place we've ever had it and we will certainly go back on our next trip to NYC!
My daughter said it was one of the best pizzas she has ever had. We shared the Marguerita pizza and it was amazing.
$ 40 for a pizza and a beer ...? Come yaaaaaaa! The pizza was good but I have taken better and also in cheaper Italian luxury restaurants ... And the worst thing is that they do not accept card payment ... Crazy!
Small place with a lot of taste. The pizza was thin with a delicious natural tomato sauce that taste so authentic. Ordered the meat balls and they were so tasty. The place is a bit pricy but it s New York after all. Definitely the best pizza I ve ever had. Will be back again !! It s cash only.
this place has less than mediocre pizza. the sauce tasted off and acidic in a disgusting way. cannot even fulfill a request as simple as extra basil. they also hate homeless people as they literally take the pieces of wood away from the benches at night.
Great food, but waiting for a table sucks. Especially when the server buzzes you, asks you to wait by the side until our table is cleaned, forgets about you, and then sits five parties other parties... Then we had to wait even longer until they could find another table.
Lived around here my whole life and finally decided to give them a go for take out and regretted my decision. The pizza was burnt all over (not in a good way) and the pie was tough. I liked how the outside was crispy but they left the pizza in the oven too long, making the the center of the pie like eating cardboard. I usually like eating the crust of the pizza but for this one? Fuhgeddaboudit! Maybe it was an off day but I'm leery of going back to them for another pie.
Touristy, but for a reason: great 'n' tasty pizza! The wait is long, but the beeper works for a block radius and there's rich window-shopping all around to pass the time. Crap service, interesting stuff on the walls.
Love It! Best pizza in town! Ate it before I could take a pic!
Came here for dinner one day. There was a wait (20-30mins) but my party of 2 got in within 10 minutes. The wait staff was a bit slower than I had expected but they were nice. The pizza also wasn t as great as I had expected. I think if there was a bit less sauce, the pizza would have been less soggy. But it was still a decent pizza.
Great pizza, perfect crust! Good service. Always a go to stop!
Great pizza place. Excellent pizza. Friendly staff
Great service... Exceptional pizza. Recommended by a native new yorker we bumped into at our hotel as the BEST pizza in the city, so now the bar has been set.
Yeah, the pizza is really tasty, but I despise everything else about this establishment. They're SO famous that they feel the need to be:
1. overpriced
2. cash only
3. pretentious
4. prejudiced against slices
Honestly, go to John's on Bleecker in the village. The food is just as good but the ambiance is ten times more chill.
Loved it!! Good food, good atmosphere, good fast service. Popular spot!!
The first and the absolute best pizza in NYC. It's a must stop. Small unassuming place loaded with character. Easy to feel comfortable with atmosphere and staff. Food is fantastic. Highly recommend.
The pizza is made with homemade ingredients. Reasonable prices. You go for the experience more than best pizza.
The best pizza in New York and the best pizza I ve ever had, ever.
I would move to New York just to eat this pizza every day.
Coming here since 2009, it's an awsome place to eat, great sercive, and great food!!,strongly recommended!!
Nice place but not that great of an over priced pizza. There are better and cheaper places.
Pizza was great, but customer service needs to be improved. We sat on the table and nobody came to even ask if we wanted something to drink. I had to approach the waiter to tell him that I was ready to order. I'm usually very patient, but when you are paying $5.00 for 1 hr, I cannot and I'm sure nobody can wait for long. They must take this into consideration. Very nice employees, but they need to work on customer service.
Anyone who gave more than 2 stars lied. Arm and a leg pizza that wasn't that great. We had a really nice server though.
Love this place. Delicious pizzas, friendly service, great atmosphere and location.
There is a lot of hype about this place. I don't really get it. If you go get the white pizza. It's good. Don't go with small groups. No slices.
Worth the wait, remember they only take cash payment!!!
Had the clam pie (as recommended by the staff) and the white pizza..nothing special, just OK, its also a cash only resturaunt which is an inconvenience for many, don't think its worth another visit
1st pizzeria in NYC, and you pay for this fact. Definitely not the best pizza in NYC. Pizza is old school thin crust style. Seems people go here for the nostalgia and experience as it is quite expensive for the product you get. Cash only is inconvenient.
Awesome slice. The brick oven is old world however the pizza menu is fresh, lively, and exciting to the palate. Go there now!
